Abstract

This study identifies grammatical errors in Arabic composition writing among students enrolled in an intensive Arabic language program and explores the factors contributing to these errors. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through student writing samples, interviews, and classroom observations. Findings reveal six major categories of grammatical errors: expression errors (i‘rāb), syntax (tarkīb), word position, nouns and pronouns, gender, and addition or omission of words. Contributing factors include internal aspects such as limited grammar understanding and insufficient practice, as well as external influences like first language interference and inadequate learning environments. The study concludes that addressing these factors through innovative teaching methods and improved resources can enhance Arabic language learning outcomes.

Abstract

إن اللغة لها دورا مهما في حياة الإنسان كوسيلة للتواصل والتفاعل لنقل والتعبير عن أفكارهم التي لها سمات أو خصائص فريدة لا تشترك فيها اللغات الأخرى. كعنصر ديناميكي، يتم تحليل اللغة دائما باستخدام مجموعة متنوعة من الأساليب. أحد الأساليب التي يمكن استخدامها هو نهج المعنى. علم الدلالة هو دراسة لغوية تدرس المعنى. المعنى له غرض نقل معنى في محادثة معينة. بحيث مع معنى البشر يمكن أن تفسر بشكل مختلف وفقا للفهم الذي سيتم نقله من خلال الكلمات والجمل. في واقع المجتمع غالبا ما يتم احتواء المعنى في كلمات الأغنية لأنه في كل كلمة أو جملة في كلمات الأغنية لها فكرة ومعنى وشعور يعبر عنه المخرج في الأغنية كما سنناقش وهي كلمات غناء Casablanca.تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل نوع المعنى الوارد في كلمات غناء "Casablanca" باستخدام مقاربة دلالية. يستخدم هذا البحث نوعا وصفيا نوعيا من البحوث. تظهر نتائج هذه الدراسة أن نوع المعنى الوارد في كلمات أغنية "Casablanca" هو المعنى الأساسي والمعنى المجازي. تم العثور على المعاني المعجمية لديها ما يصل إلى ثمانية معان في حين أن المعاني التصويرية لها ما يصل إلى أربعة معان.

Abstract

Arabic language learning in the modern era demands mastery of technology in all fields, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic which requires learning assistance. Therefore, the use of blended learning needs to be addressed in the Arabic teaching and learning process. The aim of this study was to describe the implementation of Arabic teaching through blended learning and using blended learning as an alternative model to Arabic language learning in the pandemic era. The study used mixed method that combines qualitative and quantitative approaches descriptively. The data were obtained from interviews, documentation and the results of a survey of the Arabic language learning process obtained from Arabic language teachers. The results showed that the implementation of Arabic language learning through blended learning using a platform that is considered effective according to the conditions of the teacher and students, and the use of blended learning is actually an alternative to implementing face-to-face learning to provide monitoring of language habits.

Abstract

Arabic learning at the State Islamic Religious Universities has not used many applications. This is due to the unavailability of the proper application. The Arabic learning application "HATI" can contribute to learning Arabic. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of the "HATI" application from the perspective of PTKIN students. The research method used is descriptive quantitative using a questionnaire instrument. This study's results indicate that using the HATI application in learning Arabic at PTKIN is very easy and interesting. This is proven that 26.25% of respondents answered that it was effortless to operate the HATI application, 42.43% of respondents answered that it was easy, 22.06% of respondents answered that it was not easy, and 8.97% of respondents said it was not very easy. While 37.87% of respondents answered very interesting, 48.16% answered interesting, 8.82% answered less attractive, and 4.96% answered very unattractive.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed traditional Arabic learning into a more interactive and student-centered process. This study aims to analyze the use of audiovisual teaching materials in Sharaf (Arabic morphology) instruction and their impact on students’ cognitive engagement and comprehension. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis in Arabic language classes implementing digital media integration. The findings reveal that animated morphology charts, narrated videos, and interactive slides effectively enhance students’ retention, recall accuracy, and motivation. Moreover, multisensory engagement through synchronized visual and auditory input supports a more profound understanding of morphological transformations. The study contributes to digital Arabic pedagogy by presenting a model of sustainable, multimodal instruction. It recommends continued development of context-based audio-visual materials to strengthen learner autonomy and ensure long-term pedagogical innovation in Arabic linguistic education.

Abstract

Abstract One of the textbooks used in different countries written by non-Arabs is "Modern Standard Arabic" by Schulz. By the author, he allegedly used a communicative input. However, in terms of strategic competence and the perspective of the foundations of the preparation of educational materials, it was not enough. Based on this issue, the objectives of this research are to know the foundations of the teaching materials in the textbook "Modern Standard Arabic" by Schulz, and its educational materials from the perspective of communicative competence. This research used the synthetic-inferential approach with the theory of foundations for preparing educational materials and the theory of communication. The type of this research is qualitative-quantitative through a desk study, which is written data and taken from the textbook "Modern Standard Arabic" by Schulz, whether it was printed or electronic version. The data collection used the documentation method, and the data analysis used the James Spradley method and discourse analysis. The results obtained by the research are the foundations for the preparation of the textbook, "Modern Standard Arabic" by Schulz, which is the structural-communicative approach; purposes; Material consisting of its selection, organization, arrangement and presentation; ways; and evaluation, and the educational material in that book is a perspective of communicative competence is very good which is up to 85.45%. Abstract

هناك تكامل بين معنى القياس والنظرية التصويرية في سورة المائدة الآية 90. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن العلاقة بين معنى القياس والنظرية التصويرية في جملة الخمر مع الحشيش والكحول الواردة في سورة المائدة الآية 90 باستخدام كتاب أصول الفقه. المواد المسكرة هي السبب في كون الخمر حرام. ويحرم شرب الخمر على أساس العلة، وهي السكر. فكل شراب فيه علته مثل الخمر شرعا، فهو حرام. وبناء على ذلك اكتشف المجتهد وحكم الحشيش والكحول هو حكم الخمر، لأن كلاهما واحد. وتشابه العلة بين القضايا التي ليس لها نص والقوانين التي لها نص يسبب وجود الوحدة القانونية. مدخل البحث الذي تستخدمه الباحثون هو المدخل النوعي بمنهج مكتبي (Library Research) وهو بحث يستخدم بجمع البيانات من الكتب والرسائل العلمية. ويستخدم الباحثون المدخل النوعي، وهو بحث مقارن وصفي يجمع البيانات وتحليلها ووصفها. والبيانات المحصولة على شكل أقوال أوصور. تشير نتائج هذه الدراسة إلى أن المجتهدين قدروا على تصوير كل المشروبات في أذهانهم، والطريقة المناسبة لإخراج الصفة من كل المشروبات هي بالنظرية التصويرية. بهذه الطريقة قدر على المجتهدين تصوير كل المشروبات في أذهانهم، حتي تعين صفة الماء من اللون، والرائحة، وطعم كل المشروبات إما من الخمر والحشيش والكحول. فالنظرية التصويرية تلعب دورا مهما في تعيين العلة من الخمر والحشيش والكحول، و تكون وصيلة لإستنباط الحكم على طريقة قياس المعنى.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the role of the language environment in developing students’ speaking skills at Ma’had Hidayatullah Batu, using Skinner’s behaviorist theory as the theoretical framework. The researcher employed a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving lecturers, students, and several institutional records. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. To enhance the credibility of the findings, triangulation was applied. The results indicate that the language environment at Ma’had Hidayatullah Batu effectively contributes to the development of speaking skills through various activities such as daily conversations, drama performances, debates, wall magazines, and speech competitions. These activities were designed based on the principles of behaviorist theory, including practice, repetition, and positive reinforcement.
