Abstract

The large number of studies on madrasas on Scopus means that madrasas can be used as an option for researchers in conducting research. This research aims to look at the grouping and novelty of keywords using Vosviewer. This research used 323 documents that had been sorted according to keywords. From the results of the analysis, there are fourteen research groups based on keywords in madrasa research in the Scopus database, namely improving educational practices in madrasas, developing madrasa education in rural areas, preserving architectural heritage in madrasas, improving the Arabic language curriculum in Aliyah madrasas, Islamic pedagogy and practice. memorization, heritage preservation and restoration techniques, Islamic boarding school management, integration of character in online learning during the pandemic, madrasas and maktab religious education and national training, teacher performance and academic achievement, development of religious character, leadership in moral education, environmental learning in Muslim communities, as well as the study of Islamic history. Meanwhile, the novelty of keywords such as mausoleum, Islamic boarding schools, learners, character building, online learning, emotional intelligence, critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes indicates the novelty of the keywords so that these keywords can be used as research recommendations in research on madrasas in the Scopus database.

Abstract

This study aims to look at research trends with the topic of Algorithmic Thinking conducted using bibliometric analysis. By using predetermined keywords, 158 documents in the Scopus database were analyzed using R Program and VOSviewer. From the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that this study covers the period 1982 to 2024, which covers a span of 42 years. Korea University and National Taiwan Normal University based in Seoul and Taipei topped the list with the same number of publications at 8 publications. Chung-Yuan Hsu from Taiwan's National Pingtung University of Science and Technology tops the list with an h-index of 2, supported by a total of 63 citations and 3 publications. The journal “Educational and Information Technology”, ranked second with an h-index of 6, supported by a total of 274 citations and 13 publications. Grover et al. (2015) is the source with the highest citations, with 235 citations. There are 28 keywords grouped into four clusters, with the keywords Arduino, Computational Thinking Skills, Early Childhood, Mathematics, and Curriculum used as recommendations for further research related to Algorithmic Thinking.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze research trends regarding mathematics learning in Southeast Asia on the Scopus Database. Using existing keywords, researchers selected using the PRISMA method and obtained 829 documents which were analyzed using VOSviewer and the R Program. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that research on mathematics learning in Southeast Asia began in 1993 and showed significant development until 2024, with a total of 829 documents published from 200 sources. Despite a decline in publications in 2013, the overall publication trend continues to show positive growth, especially after 2012. Indonesia occupies the top position in the number of publications and citations, followed by Malaysia, with Nanyang Technological University in Singapore being the leading institution. The various research focuses reflect efforts to improve the quality of mathematics learning in the region. Apart from that, the latest topics such as “online learning”, “ethnomathematics”, and “flipped classroom” are very relevant to be applied in facing educational challenges in the current digital era.

Abstract

Guru Sekolah Dasar di Desa Guwo Sari, Pajangan, menghadapi kesulitan dalam membuat soal yang sesuai dengan kaidah penulisan yang benar, sehingga memengaruhi kualitas pembelajaran dan penilaian. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, dirancang solusi berupa pelatihan dengan tema “Web-Based Attitude and Knowledge Assessment Training for Elementary School Teachers” yang dilaksanakan oleh Prodi S3 PEP SPs UNY. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 25 guru dan berlangsung di Gedung Disdikpora Kabupaten Bantul selama satu minggu, dari 10 Oktober hingga 17 Oktober 2024. Materi pelatihan mencakup kebijakan pendidikan, penyusunan instrumen penilaian sikap dan pengetahuan, serta praktik penggunaan teknologi berbasis web. Pelatihan ini berjalan lancar dan mendapatkan respon positif dari peserta, terlihat dari antusiasme guru, keberhasilan mereka menyelesaikan tugas dengan baik, serta tingginya nilai evaluasi yang diberikan. Selain itu, para peserta memberikan respon positif dan apresiasi tinggi terhadap pelatihan penyusunan penilaian ini dengan nilai yang diberikan dominan berada pada nilai 8-10. Selain meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru, kegiatan ini memotivasi mereka untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam sistem penilaian secara lebih efektif. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan kontribusi nyata terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di wilayah Desa Guwo Sari, Pajangan.

Abstract

Psychometric quality analysis of psychological instruments was important to ensure credible measurement. This study aims to compare the psychometric quality analysis of multiple-choice test items using three different applications to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the features provided in supporting classical test theory analysis. This study used a quantitative approach by analysing dichotomous data from 50 participants of a 30-item multiple-choice test. The data were analysed using three applications (AnBuso, Iteman, and R) to compare the statistical output of the main psychometric parameters of the classical test theory, such as difficulty index, discrimination index, and distractor effectiveness. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and quantitatively by comparing the features provided by the application in support of classical test theory analysis to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of each application. The study found that all three applications produced similar results for the difficulty index, distractor effectiveness, and discrimination index. AnBuso proved user-friendly but limited in capacity, Iteman offered comprehensive output with restricted free functionality, and R provided flexibility but required programming expertise. The application demonstrated unique strengths that are suitable for different research needs and user proficiencies. The choice of application should consider factors such as analysis complexity, sample size, and user expertise. Further research into paid options and diverse test conditions is recommended for a more comprehensive evaluation of these applications in classical test theory analysis.

Abstract

The emergence of ICT in teaching and learning has contributed to improving the quality of education, because teaching and learning is ultimately an active and interesting process linked to real-world situations. ICT can be integrated into all subjects outside of physical education, including language, comprehension, math, science, and environmental science. This research examines trends and identifies publications concerning ICT in Mathematics Learning by analyzing the most prolific document sources, rankings of institutions or universities, prominent journals and articles, as well as keyword usage. Utilizing data from the Dimensions database, a total of 390 documents were gathered through the Publish or Perish (PoP) application, consolidated into a single RIS file, and analyzed using the VOSviewer application to generate network and overlay visualizations.The findings reveal an increasing trend in publications on ICT in Mathematics Learning over the past five years, with Indonesia leading in the number of documents (66), "Guangxi Normal University" as the top institution, "Journal of Physics: Conference Series" as the most prominent journal, and the article by Lo et al. (2018) as a key reference. The keyword "ICT" is not commonly associated with other variables such as case studies or stems, presenting a gap that offers opportunities for future research in this area.Penggunaan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) dalam pembelajaran telah berperan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, menjadikan proses pembelajaran lebih aktif, menarik, dan relevan dengan situasi dunia nyata. TIK dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam berbagai mata pelajaran, seperti bahasa, pemahaman, matematika, sains, dan ilmu lingkungan, kecuali pendidikan jasmani. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi tren dan mengidentifikasi publikasi terkait TIK dalam Pembelajaran Matematika melalui analisis jumlah dokumen terbanyak, peringkat institusi atau universitas, jurnal, dokumen, serta penggunaan kata kunci berdasarkan data dari basis data Dimensions. Dengan menggunakan analisis bibliometrik, 390 dokumen dikumpulkan melalui aplikasi Publish or Perish (PoP), dikompilasi ke dalam satu file RIS, dan dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi VOSviewer untuk menghasilkan visualisasi jaringan dan hamparan. Temuan menunjukkan adanya tren peningkatan publikasi tentang TIK dalam Pembelajaran Matematika selama lima tahun terakhir, dengan Indonesia memimpin dalam jumlah dokumen (66), “Guangxi Normal University” sebagai institusi teratas, “Journal of Physics: Conference Series” sebagai jurnal yang paling menonjol, dan artikel oleh Lo dkk. (2018) sebagai referensi utama. Kata kunci “TIK” tidak umum dikaitkan dengan variabel lain seperti studi kasus atau batang tubuh, menghadirkan celah yang menawarkan peluang untuk penelitian di masa depan di bidang ini.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze research trends on the topic of critical thinking in mathematics learning using bibliometric analysis. By selecting documents in Scopus Database using the PRISMA method, 94 documents were obtained which were analyzed using the R Program and VOSviewer. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that research on the Scopus database began in 2004 to 2024 or the last 20 years, with a 3-fold increase in publications in the last 6 years. 2020 was the year with the highest citation impact, namely 130(10.53%) citations. Indonesia stands out as the country with the highest number of publications at 19(20.21%) and number of citations is 145(11.75%). International Journal of Instruction stands out as the source with the highest h-index, namely 5. Universitas Islam Negeri Mataram leads with a total of 8(8.51%) publications. Suparman from the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia is the author with the highest contribution with an h-index of 5. The article with the highest number of citations of Şendağ et al. Abstract

ChatGPT OpenAI adalah teknologi kecerdasan buatan inovatif yang, setelah menjalani pelatihan, dapat meniru interaksi manusia melalui Pemrosesan Bahasa Alami (Natural Language Processing/NLP) dan dapat menjadi alat pendidikan yang inovatif dan efektif dalam berbagai konteks pendidikan. Penelitian ini menganalisis tren penelitian mengenai kecerdasan buatan dalam pendidikan, menggunakan analisis bibliometrik untuk memahami kondisi penelitian saat ini di bidang ini. Analisis ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan database online seperti Scopus untuk mencari artikel penelitian yang relevan tentang ChatGPT dalam Pendidikan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 325 sumber ditemukan, dengan periode cakupan literatur mulai dari tahun 2022 hingga tahun berikutnya, yaitu 2024. Sumber-sumber tersebut berasal dari berbagai jenis publikasi, termasuk jurnal, buku, ulasan, prosiding, dan lainnya, yang semuanya telah terdaftar di database Scopus. Salah satu temuan yang mencolok adalah adanya peningkatan pertumbuhan publikasi yang cukup signifikan yaitu sebesar 73,21%. Ada tiga negara yang mendominasi sebagai afiliasi dengan jumlah artikel terbanyak, yaitu Amerika Serikat (4), Australia (3), dan Jerman (2). Thorp (2023) merupakan sumber yang paling banyak dikutip dengan 252 kutipan. Artikel ini membahas pendapat tentang ChatGPT yang memainkan peran penting sebagai alat bagi mereka yang merumuskan hipotesis dan memahami hasil yang mereka cari. Viroj Wiwanitkit dari Joseph Ayobabalola University di Nigeria adalah penulis paling produktif dengan 12 artikel yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan ChatGPT dalam pendidikan. Di antara kata kunci berwarna kuning, "Pendidikan", "Kecerdasan Buatan", dan "Pembelajaran Mesin" menonjol. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada potensi besar untuk penelitian lebih lanjut dalam konteks pendidikan dengan memanfaatkan ketiga kata kunci tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to look at research trends in the Scopus Database regarding the use of AI in educational settings in Southeast Asia. By using keywords that have been determined and selected by the PRISMA method, researchers get 118 documents that are analyzed with the R Program and VOSviewer. From the analysis, it can be concluded that research on AI in Education in Southeast Asia in the Scopus database started from 2014 to 2024, with the peak contribution occurring in the last year. Singapore is the most productive country, followed by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) as the leading affiliate in publications in this field. The most prolific source came from the journal Sustainability (Switzerland), while Sayed Fayaz Ahmad from Pakistan was noted as the author with the most contributions and highest h-index. Paranjape et al. (2019) is the study with the highest citations. There are seven clusters formed, with keywords such as “Computer Aided Instruction”, “Chatbot”, “ChatGPT”, “Assessment”, and “Generative Artificial Intelligence” being recommendations for further research in the field of AI in education in Southeast Asia.

Abstract

The use of technology such as Adobe Animate has brought a lot of variety to education, increasing the way of delivering material that is more interactive and interesting for students. This provides significant benefits for many people in enhancing their learning experience. This service activity aims to provide training to teachers and simulations to students regarding Adobe Animate. The method of implementing this service involves lectures, practice and direct interaction with teachers and class VIII students at one of the State Middle Schools in West Bandung Regency. The training was carried out through demos, question and answer sessions, and simulations involving 5 class VIII students. The results of this service show that the teachers succeeded in understanding the concepts and techniques of using Adobe Animate in learning. Through the training and simulations carried out, they show progress in implementing this technology in daily learning activities. On the other hand, the simulation results also show positive changes in students, where they begin to show increased skills and confidence in following the learning process with Adobe Animate. This application not only provides benefits for teachers in delivering material interactively, but also provides a more interesting and effective learning experience for students.
