Abstract

Limbah pertanian, peternakan dan perkebunan menjadi permasalahan jika tidak termanfaatkan dengan baik. Pengolahan limbah tersebut akan dapat menjadi sumber penghasilan lain bagi masyarakat jika memahami tatacara pengolahannya serta didukung oleh peralatan yang memadai. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mendampingi masyarakat mengolah limbah menjadi briket dan pupuk organik padat dalam rangka peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan yaitu dengan pendekatan participatory rural approach (PRA) dimana masyarakat diberikan pemahaman pengetahuan melalui penyuluhan, pelatihan atau praktek langsung dan pendampingan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat telah mampu dan memahami tahapan-tahapan di dalam membuat briket serta pupuk organik yang berbahan baku kotoran ternak dan limbah pakan ternak. Masyarakat telah mampu membuat briket dan membuat pupuk organik berbahan limbah secara mandiri.

Abstract

In the central market planning project in Badung Regency, Bali, the main objective was to develop an economic center that combines cultural elements with sustainable economic growth. The planning goes beyond the traditional paradigm of development by integrating cultural, social, environmental, architectural, civil engineering and economic factors, creating an entity that carries more value than just commercial transactions. The central market is intended to represent a balance between cultural heritage and the dynamics of modernity, with reference to the principles of Tri Hita Karana (balance with God, fellow humans, and the natural environment) as well as the concept of Hulu - Teben which directs the organization of space based on the flow of the river. The Tri Mandala and Sanga Mandala concepts guide the zone mapping and building orientation, optimizing air circulation and natural lighting. The market architecture adopts traditional Balinese elements such as limasan and jineng roof forms, and utilizes natural materials such as red bricks and temple stones. A purposeful and iconic signage system, including the Ratu Niang Sakti statue, became an important part of the design. The result is a synergy between cultural values and global progress, forming a neighborhood that functions not only as a place of transaction, but also as a vehicle for cultural preservation and a driver of inclusive economic growth. The project encourages active community participation in the development process, accelerates the welfare of local communities, and improves the competitiveness of the region. Thus, the project achieves its goal not only as physical infrastructure, but also as a platform that integrates cultural significance and economic dynamism within the framework of sustainable development

Abstract

SD Negeri 1 Buruan adalah sekolah Negeri dengan jenjang SD 1yang beralamat di Br. Celuk ,Desa Buruan Kec. Blahbatuh Kab. Gianyar Prov. Bali. SD negeri 1 Buruan ini mengawali perjalanannya pada tahun 1963. Pada waktu ini SD Negeri 1 Buruan memakai panduan kurikulum belajar SD 2013. SD Negeri 1 Buruan dikepalai oleh seorang kepala sekolah bernama I Kadek Dwi Karyadi dan operator sekolah Wayan Nita Purwasih. SD Negeri 1 Buruan mendapat status akreditasi grade A dengan nilai 92 (akreditasi tahun 2019) dari BAN-S/M (Badan Akreditasi Nasional) Sekolah/Madrasah. Namun, Setelah kami melakukan observasi ke sekolah kami merasa SD Negeri 1 Buruan ini kurang mempunyai antusias untuk meningkatkan minat baca pada usia deni dengan adanya poca,dengan itu kami mengajak siswa-siswi untuk ikut berpartisipasi dalam program kerja kami yaitu Meningkatkan Minat Baca Pada Usia Dini di SD Negri 1 Buruan Dengan Adanya Poca

Abstract

This activity aims to empower the economy of the residents of Temba Lae Village, Dompu Regency by developing catfish cultivation. The method used in this activity is a participatory approach. This activity involved the So Tolo Pari Farmers Group, totaling 25 people, as partners and research subjects. This study includes steps: socialization, training, mentoring, evaluation, and strengthening. Data was collected through secondary data, direct observation, interviews with key informants, and documents. Data were analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that community economic empowerment through the development of catfish cultivation has succeeded in increasing the community's knowledge, skills, economic and social aspects. Factors that influence the success of community empowerment are community support and active participation, stakeholder support and cooperation, availability and suitability of resources, and the application of participatory methods. The long-term impact of community empowerment is as follows: the community can develop an independent, sustainable and competitive catfish farming business, the community is able to improve the quality of life, independence and welfare; The community can contribute to regional development, especially in the fisheries sector.

Abstract

Background: This Community Partnership Program (PKM) focuses on empowering coffee farmers in Pujungan Village, Pupuan District, Tabanan Regency, by converting coffee husk waste into value-added products such as compost, mushroom growing media (baglog), and coffee soap. Coffee production generates significant waste, especially coffee husks, which account for 50-60% of the total production. If not properly managed, this waste can pose environmental risks such as soil and water pollution, as well as greenhouse gas emissions. The goal of the program is to reduce coffee waste volume while creating new, waste-based products. Method: Farmers' ability to independently manage coffee waste is enhanced through structured and practical training. Through this PKM, the Kelompok Petani Cipta Lestari coffee farmers were trained and mentored to improve their skills in processing coffee husks. Results: The program includes training on composting, mushroom baglog production, and coffee soap making. The PKM in Pujungan Village successfully transformed coffee husk waste into compost, mushroom baglog, and coffee soap, increasing farmers' income by 20-30% and reducing waste by 60-70%. Conclusion: This program also positively impacted soil quality and the environment, while providing farmers with new skills for sustainable product diversification.

Abstract

Program Pemberdayaan Desa Binaan di Desa Adat Kelan, Kecamatan Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali, bertujuan untuk menjadikan desa tersebut sebagai desa wisata tangguh dan pro-lingkungan. Fokus utama kegiatan adalah pengelolaan hasil POC rumah tangga, peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat dalam bidang pertanian organik, serta penguatan Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) dalam mendukung pengembangan Desa Wisata Kelan. Beberapa kegiatan yang telah dilakukan meliputi pelatihan dan penyuluhan kepada kelompok PKK dan Pokdarwis. Pelatihan tersebut mencakup standardisasi pupuk organik cair dari limbah rumah tangga, pengelolaan kebun organik dengan sistem hidroponik dan aquaponik, penguatan kelembagaan desa wisata, pelatihan Bahasa Inggris bagi anggota Pokdarwis, serta diversifikasi produk wisata berupa eduwisata dengan memanfaatkan hidroponik dan aquaponik. Selain itu, tim pelaksana juga mendampingi proses standardisasi produk POC agar memenuhi standar kualitas yang memudahkan pemasaran. Peserta pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan, dengan 90% diantaranya mampu memproduksi POC berkualitas sesuai standar. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas lingkungan desa, pembukaan peluang ekonomi baru, dan dihasilkannya produk eduwisata baru berupa kebun organik. Melalui sinergisitas antara pemerintah desa, masyarakat, dan perguruan tinggi, Desa Adat Kelan diharapkan dapat terus berkembang menjadi desa wisata yang berkelanjutan secara lingkungan, ekonomi dan sosial budaya. Kegiatan selanjutnya akan difokuskan pada penguatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman terhadap atraksi eduwisata, pengukuran kualitas POC, penyerahan bibit ikan dan teknologi irigasi tetes untuk kebun organik

Abstract

This study offers a comprehensive analysis of key parameters—volatile matter, carbon content, ash content, and gross energy—across various material samples intended for Refused Derived Fuel (RDF) briquette production. Through meticulous examination, promising trends emerge, highlighting optimal material combinations for efficient combustion and heat generation. Samples rich in volatile matter and carbon content, notably those incorporating wood powder, demonstrate elevated calorific values, indicating their potential for effective energy production. Conversely, material combinations with low ash content suggest cleaner combustion and reduced environmental impact. The gross energy analysis further validates the substantial heat generation potential of specific sample combinations, rendering them suitable for diverse heating applications. These findings emphasize the critical role of precise raw material selection and meticulous manufacturing process optimization in producing RDF briquettes with desirable properties. Such briquettes not only offer economic viability but also contribute to environmental sustainability by providing an alternative fuel source with reduced emissions. This research underscores the importance of continued exploration and refinement in the development of RDF briquettes, aiming to meet growing energy demands while mitigating environmental concerns.

Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan sampah di Kabupaten Buleleng masih belum terselesaikan. Satu-satunya TPA yang ada di Kabupaten Buleleng yakni TPA Bengkala telah melebihi kapasitasnya, sehingga dibutuhkan alternatif lokasi TPA baru yang layak. Pada penelitian ini melakukan analisis kelayakan lokasi berbasis data spasial dengan merujuk pada SNI 03-3241-1994. Analisis berbasi system informasi geografis (SIG) menghasilkan peta kelayakan lokasi TPA di Kabupaten Buleleng. Terdapat area seluas 273,93 km2 yang layak sebagai lokasi TPA berdasarkan kriteria regional. Tiga alternatif lokasi TPA dipilih untuk dilanjutkan pada kriteria penyisih yaitu Desa Patas, Desa Gerokgak, dan Desa Sanggalangit. Calon Lokasi TPA Patas merupakan alternatif terbaik dengan nilai parameter penyisih tertinggi yaitu 538. Dengan demikian hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan TPA baru sebaiknya dibangun di Desa Patas Kecamatan Gerokgak. Analisis lebih mendetail terkait dampak sosial ekonomi perlu dilakukan sebelum penetapan lokasi TPA yang baru.Abstract: The waste problem in Buleleng Regency is still unresolved. The only existing TPA in Buleleng Regency, namely TPA Bengkala, has exceeded its capacity, so an alternative location for a new TPA that is feasible is needed. In this study, a location feasibility analysis was carried out based on spatial data by referring to SNI 03-3241-1994. Analysis based on geographic information system (GIS) produces a map of the feasibility of the landfill site in Buleleng Regency. There is an area of 273.93 km2 that is suitable as a landfill site based on regional criteria. Three alternative TPA locations were chosen to be continued on the selection criteria, namely Patas Village, Gerokgak Village, and Sanggalangit Village. The prospective location for the Patas landfill is the best alternative with the highest allowance parameter value of 538. Thus, the results of this study recommend that a new landfill should be built in Patas Village, Gerokgak District. A more detailed analysis of the socio-economic impacts needs to be carried out prior to the determination of the location of the new landfill.

Abstract

Hospital liquid waste can be infectious, poisonous and harmful for hospital environment and communities surrounding. The examination result of liquid waste outlet in Mangusada hospital within January - August 2016 showed an increase in free Ammonia (NH3) quality raw at the level of 3.71 mg / L and phosphate (PO 4) up at the level to 3.38 mg / L. To anticipate the pollution of liquid waste which might occur, liquid waste treatment is an absolute option to be required. The objective of this research is to obtain the effectiveness of kayu apu and hyacinth in complying liquid waste quality standard. This research is quasi experiment using non-equivalent control group design with post test. The conclusion of this research showed that liquid waste management system refers to environmental health hospital requirements and it licensed on disposal of water resources and reuse of liquid waste environmental Board of Badung Regency. The results of an independent analysis showed that kayu apu phytoremediation is more (p <0.05) in complying the quality standard especially on the indicator of liquid waste mainly on NH3 and COD. Kayu apu lettuce can be apply as an alternative option in complying quality standard of liquid waste using biology system.

Abstract

Fosfat berlebih (PO₄³⁻) dalam air limbah dapat menyebabkan eutrofikasi yang mengancam kehidupan akuatik. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas biochar yang dibuat dari limbah upacara dan kulit durian dalam menurunkan kadar fosfat dalam air limbah sintetis. Biochar diaktifkan dengan ion Mg²⁺, dan dilakukan analisis untuk mengukur laju serta kapasitas adsorpsi agar sesuai dengan standar kualitas air pemerintah, yaitu maksimal 0,2 mg/L fosfat. Biochar diproduksi melalui proses pirolisis pada suhu 400–700 °C dan kemudian diaktifkan dengan perendaman dalam larutan MgCl₂ 1 M selama 24 jam. Pengujian adsorpsi dilakukan dalam reaktor dengan kondisi eksperimental yang terkontrol menggunakan variasi jumlah biochar. Tujuan utama pengujian ini adalah untuk menilai apakah peningkatan atau penurunan jumlah biochar akan mempengaruhi penurunan kadar fosfat dalam air limbah sintetis. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa biochar yang diaktifkan dengan MgCl₂ pada pH 9 paling efektif dalam menurunkan konsentrasi fosfat. Penambahan biochar hingga 0,5 g menghasilkan penurunan fosfat sebesar 74,32 mg/L (29,06%).
