Abstract

The development of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) for indoor environments necessitates precise positioning technology to enable accurate navigation within confined spaces. Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology has proven to be a leading solution for this purpose, known for its high accuracy, low latency, and resilience to interference. This study presents a specialized approach to AGV localization within a room, utilizing UWB technology to achieve reliable movement and positioning. We conducted a comparative analysis of two UWB modules, DWM1000 and DWM1001, evaluating their performance and suitability for AGV applications. Although both modules provide high accuracy, the DWM1001 was chosen due to its integrated microcontroller, simplified setup, and enhanced compatibility with indoor navigation. The DWM1001’s efficient integration and power management make it ideal for environments requiring precise and dependable AGV operation. This paper details the methodology for selecting the DWM1001 and demonstrates how it enables robust AGV navigation with minimal drift, achieving a positioning accuracy of approximately 10 cm—an acceptable margin for indoor applications. Through rigorous testing and evaluation, we observed consistent performance, validating the DWM1001 as an effective solution for small-scale AGV systems. This approach not only provides a reliable foundation for deploying UWB technology in compact indoor settings but also addresses a gap in current research on high-precision, small-scale AGV localization.

Abstract

In the world of IoT, it is involving many devices, each Node needs to send/receive the data from/to Datacenter. The Lora Gateway is usually used to achieve that communication. There are many ways to implement the Lora Gateway, it may use available Lora Gateway in the market. This method may be faster but need to have an extra fee, especially when many gateways are needed. Another method is by using the available GSM Network Gateway, this may lead fast but require managing Simcard at each Node. Both are less flexible as the data format needs to follow according to the standard of the Gateway which is chosen. Some methods select to build the Lora Gateway by themself, but this requires some development and integration that leads to giving extra time. To compensate above problem this project is involved. The aim is to prove, that it is possible to build a Low-Cost Lora Gateway based Time Division with the help of on .Net Core prgramming. As of today .Net Core can run in the Linux OS environment smoothly, hence building Lora Gateway based Time Division using on .Net Core is very possible to be done. By developing for all devices using .Net Core the communication data across the device is easy to achieve. It is because all projects in each device reference the same library that contains the same data entities and services. This project proves that building a Low-Cost Lora Gateway based on .Net Core is successfully done. The development and integration are relatively easy and fast. The fee to build the Lora Gateway is less compared to using available Gateway in the market or using GSM Gateway.

Abstract

Efficient and precise pesticide application is critical in modern agriculture, especially when using drone technology. To ensure that spraying operations are carried out accurately in the intended locations, a reliable tracking system is essential. This newly developed Agriculture Sprayer Drone Tracker addresses this need through several key improvements over traditional methods. Previously, monitoring was performed using wired connections to check the tank, but the new system employs a wireless LoRa solution housed in a robust IP67-rated enclosure for better durability and flexibility. The tracker features a custom-designed GPS board based on the u-blox F9P module, providing high-precision location data. The GPS antenna has been optimized for a more compact form factor, resulting in a smaller, more portable device. Data is logged directly to an SD card and can be quickly accessed via a USB connection. This method offers a significant improvement over previous systems that relied on web APIs, which were often slow and dependent on internet speed. With dedicated software, users can now efficiently retrieve and save tracker data to a PC. Overall, these advancements make the tracker more versatile, reliable, and user-friendly, enhancing the effectiveness of agricultural drone spraying operations.
