Abstract

Amorphous Silicon type solar panels, which had a bad reputation in the past, are now considered very reliable, with several significant advantages over Mono Crystalline and Polycrystalline solar panels. Research on the effectiveness of the capture power of Amorphous Silicon compared to Silicon Crystalline solar panels types is still not much done.The purpose of this study was to explain the effect of solar radiation on the capture power of polycrystalline and amorphous solar panels.This research method includes solar panel installation, measurement of solar radiation, measurement of the resulting current and voltage, data analysis, discussion, and conclusions. The independent variables of the study were the resulting current and voltage, and the type of solar panels (Polycrystalline and Amorphous). The dependent variable of this research are actual power and efficiency.The results showed that the greater the solar radiation, the higher the actual power and efficiency produced by the solar panels. Polycrystalline type solar panels are capable of producing higher average actual power and average efficiency, namely 86.83 W and 11.92%, compared to amorphous solar panels, namely 43.88 W and 6.01%. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kebijakan agar masyarakat menggunakan Jamban/MCK sebagai tempat buang air besar, sehingga dapat berkelanjutan dengan baik. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Penggunaan fasilitas Jamban/MCK yang kurang memenuhi syarat kesehatan lingkungan menyebabkan perilaku masyarakat masih BABS oleh karena itu diperlukan upaya pembangunan Jamban/MCK bagi masyarakat yang dirasa masih kurang mampu untuk membangun Jamban/MCK ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlunya penggunaan Jamban/MCK yang memenuhi kesehatan lingkungan melakukan pembuatan jamban yang lebih menarik dan memenuhi kesehatan lingkungan. Dalam pembangunan Jamban/MCK haruslah memperhatikan aspek keandalan dari bangunan tersebut yaitu kenyamanan, kesehatan dan kemudahan bagi masyarakat dalam melakukan buang air besar. MCK sendiri adalah suatu ruangan dimana seseorang dapat mandi untuk membersihkan tubuhnya. Kebersihan keluarga yang berpusat di MCK menjadikan kebersihan MCK benar-benar penting. MCK buruk yang sitem kebersihannya buruk akan mengundang banyak kuman bertumbuh dan pada akhirnya berisiko menimbulkan bibit penyakit dan lingkungan tempat tinggal menjadi tidak sehat.

Abstract

Global energy needs are increasing, while world energy reserves derived from fossils are dwindling. Therefore, a breakthrough is needed to develop green technology based on renewable energy, especially in the household sector. Indonesia is located on the equator so it has great potential to explore solar energy sources. This study aims to analyze the effect of the type of coil heater material and the level of solar radiation on the PV module solar electric cooker. Testing carried out in the Solar Energy Lab., Mechanical Engineering, State Polytechnic of Malang (7°56ʼ36.4ˮS ; 112°36ʼ49.6ˮE). The method used is true experimental using three material types based on their thermal conductivity, namely copper, aluminum, and nickel as well as the change in solar radiation on the heat of solar electric cooker generated by the PV module. The results showed that there was an effect of the parameters of thermal conductivity and changes in solar radiation on the heat generated by the PV module solar electric cooker. In the nickel coil test, it can reach a temperature of 769°C at a solar radiation of 875.9 W/m2. Testing the aluminum coil obtained a temperature of 191°C at a solar radiation level of 931.4 W/m2, and a copper coil could produce a temperature of 169°C at a solar radiation level of 855.6 W/m2

Abstract

Experimental has been conducted on the effects of variations in the direction of the magnetic fields on flames characteristic of droplets combustion of coconut and palm oils. Two variations of the directions magnetic field N-N and S-N were used in this experiment by placing droplets of vegetable oils on the type K thermocouple between two permanent magnet rods. High-speed camera (120 frame per second) recorded the flames up to extinguished. The result showed that S-N magnetic fields affected on shorter burning time of coconut and palm oil, respectively 670 ms and 871 ms, with the highest temperature of 816.25 oC and 778 oC. The flame height produced by the S-N magnetic field in coconut oil is 34.36 mm shorter, ignitions delay time for all oils has faster than the N-N magnetic field. The strong magnetic field direction increases the oxygen concentrations and fuel molecules around the reaction zone, causing shorter combustion. This combustion produces different flame evolution, shape, height, temperature, and ignition delay times. Keywords: Flames evolution, Flames height, Flames temperature, Ignition delay, Vegetable oils.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Perkembangan dunia global dan isu emisi nol (zero emmision) telah menjadi blue print energi dari semua negara. Salah satunya adalah terobosan teknologi transportasi yang ramah lingkungan. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, teknologi kendaraan listrik telah berkembang pesat. Selain dari desain dan performansi, konsep hybrid panel surya dengan kendaraan listrik juga banyak dilakukan oleh banyak peneliti. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis performansi pengisian baterai pada sepeda listrik yang dihasilkan oleh dua bentuk panel surya yang berbeda (flat dan flexy). Metode penelitian true experimental dilakukan dengan monitoring data dari sensor tegangan, arus, dan daya listrik yang dihasilkan panel surya. Sedangkan radiasi matahari diukur dengan solar power meter. Daya listrik yang dihasilkan panel surya digunakan untuk pengisian baterai sepeda listrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada radiasi matahari maksimum terjadi pada jam 13.00 WIB sebesar 1008 W/m2. Panel surya bentuk flat menghasilkan daya listrik sebesar 58,94 Wh Sedangkan bentuk flexy sebesar 44,87 Wh. Sehingga panel surya bentuk flat lebih effisien dibandingkan dengan flexy untuk pengisian baterai pada sepeda listrik.Kata kunci: panel surya flat, panel surya flexy, daya pengisian, baterai, sepeda listrikABSTRACTThe development of the global world and the issue of zero emissions has become an energy blueprint for all countries. One of them is the breakthrough of environmentally friendly transportation technology. In recent years, electric vehicle technology has developed rapidly. Apart from design and performance, the concept of hybrid solar panels with electric vehicles is also being carried out by many researchers. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the charging performance of electric bicycle batteries produced by two different forms of solar panels (flat PV and flexy PV). The true experimental research method was carried out by monitoring data from sensors of voltage, current, and electric power generated by solar panels. While solar radiation is measured with a solar power meter. The electricity generated by the solar panels is used to charge the electric bicycle battery. The results showed that the maximum solar irradiation occurred at 01.00 pm at 1008 W/m2. Flatform solar panels produce electricity of 58.94 Wh while flexible form 44.87 Wh. Therefore, flat solar panels are more efficient than flexy for charging batteries on electric bicycles.Keywords: solar panel, flat PV, flexy PV, charging power, battery, electric bicycle

Abstract

According to the Air Quality Live Index (AQLI), Indonesia's air quality has continued to deteriorate in the last two decades, so Indonesia is officially ranked 17th as the country with the worst air quality in the world. This is due to the population explosion in Indonesia causing industrial activity to also increase. The high levels of exhaust emissions in vehicles, of course, requires the need for technology to measure vehicle exhaust gases to reduce the impact of air pollution. However, the procurement of exhaust emission test equipment is still expensive, so only certain class workshops have this tool. In addition, the reading results of the vehicle's OBD (On Board Diagnostic) system are only able to display the condition or reading value of the Lambda sensor because other gas sensors readings such as CO2, HC, and CO cannot be displayed on the OBD reading results. The purpose of this study is to describe the design of the tool and the results of measuring CO and HC levels through the Blynk application. Research methods that use several gas sensors, such as MQ-7 and TGS-2602 (CO gas) and MQ-2 and TGS-2611 (HC gas), are then compared with the measurement results of a standard gas analyzer. The results showed that the MQ-7 value is close to the accuracy at 1000 rpm and 5000 rpm, namely 99.68% and 99.49%, while the level of accuracy at 3000 rpm is 99.37%. The TGS-2602 sensor at 1000 rpm only has the best accuracy and accuracy, namely 99.67% and 99.77%. The level of accuracy of the MQ-2 sensor has the best value at 1000 rpm rotation, which is 95.71% and the level of accuracy has the highest value at 7000 rpm rotation, which is 100%. For the level of accuracy of the TGS-2611 sensor, it has an accuracy level of 1000 rpm rotation of 94.65% and the level of accuracy of the sensor obtains very good values ​​at 1000 rpm, 7000 rpm, and 9000 rpm rotation of 100%.

Abstract

Persimpangan jalan utama di RT/RW 03/03 Desa Sumberingin Kidul Kecamatan Ngunut Kabupaten Tulungagung sering terjadi kecelakaan, akibat banyak kendaraan yang melewati jalan tersebut tidak mengurangi laju kendaraannya dan mendapatkan kejutan adanya kendaraan tiba tiba keluar dari perempatan atau warga yang menyeberang, serta tidak begitu tampak dari jalur utama. Kondisi ini tentunya membahayakan bagi pengendara maupun warga yang melewati perempatan tersebut. Untuk mengatasi kondisi tersebut, dibutuhkan lampu peringatan jalan bertenaga surya yang handal dan berbasis energi mandiri. Proses kegiatan berlangsung mulai dari survey di tempat, analisa permaslahan dan solusi yang harus diselesaikan. Perencanaan kegiatan disusun untuk menentukan kebutuhan bahan dan peralatan, pendampingan pembuatan unit lampu peringatan jalan dilakukan dengan pemberdayaan masyarakat sampai dengan pemasangannya. Peran serta masyarakat dilibatkan untuk peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan warga di bidang fabrikasi dan instalasi lampu bertenaga surya. Hasil kegiatan ini terpasang lampu peringatan jalan bertenaga surya dengan sepsifikasi Panel Surya monokristal 100 Wp, Solar Charger Controller MPPT 10 A, Baterai (accu) 12V 65 Ah, Lampu Peringatan Jalan LED 40 W, kabel dan perlengkapan lainnya. Adanya lampu peringatan jalan ini berdampak pada peningkatan keselamatan aktivitas warga di lingkungan RT/RW 03/03 Sumberingin Kidul Kecamatan Ngunut Kabupaten Tulungagung.

Abstract

DOC brooding period where chicks need heating for development for 14 days with temperatures of 30°C-34°C. During the use of ordinary heating devices, another alternative is to use solar panel-based electric heating because it can save energy sources. The objectives of this research are (1) to determine the effect of variations in the number of coil material turns from 20, 30 and 40 turns on the heat produced by the PV Solar Electric Warmer DOC, (2) to determine the effect of the thermal conductivity of the coil material (copper and nickel) on the heat generated. produced by PV Solar Electric Warmer DOC. The method used is experimental by varying the number of coil windings using thermal conductivity of copper and nickel materials to the heat generated by PV Solar Electric Warmer DOC. The use of variations in the number of coil windings in this study was 20, 30 and 40. The results of this study are the greater the number of coil windings and the type of thermal conductivity affects the heat generated by PV Solar Electric Warmer DOC. In the test copper coil with winding 20 has an average temperature of 30°C, winding 30 averaging 31°C and winding 40 averaging 31°C. When testing nickel materials with the number of windings 20 have an average of 31°C, winding 30 averaging 32°C and winding 40 averaging 33°C. In thermal conductivity testing, nickel coil material reaches the highest temperature of 35° C and copper coil testing reached a high temperature of 32°C

Abstract

Air pollution is increasing due to emissions from fossil fuel motor vehicles so that electric vehicles are one of the solutions to reduce pollution produced from vehicles. The increase in electric vehicles makes the need for sources of electrical energy increase. Solar panels are an alternative source of renewable electrical energy. Utilization of solar energy requires a battery that functions as energy storage. This research was tested at a distance of 100 meters at a stable speed of 19.78km/h. The results of the test will be read with a data logger system consisting of a voltage sensor, current sensor, speed sensor with Arduino UNO as a microcontroller and Micro SD as a storage medium and an LCD display to display data as a reference during testing in real time. The results of this study are, with the same distance and speed, the total power consumption of LiFePo4 batteries is on average 305.13W greater than Li-Ion. With an average power consumption of 86.17W for LiFePo4 and 69.22 W for Li Ion. Li Ion batteries have the advantage of longer battery life due to less power consumption. Meanwhile, LiFePo4 batteries have the advantage of producing higher power so that vehicle performance is also more optimal, as well as better current and voltage stability which results in more stable power consumption. Abstract

Desa Wringinsongo merupakan desa binaan dari Politeknik Negeri Malang (Polinema) sejak tahun 2020 dan menjadi mitra kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM). Berdasarkan hasil diskusi antara Jurusan Teknik Kimia, Polinema dan warga Desa Wringinsongo, salah satu masalah di desa tersebut yang dapat diselesaikan sesuai dengan bidang ilmu di Jurusan Teknik Kimia adalah pengolahan sampah menjadi bahan bakar. Permasalahan sampah yang mencemari lingkungan di Desa Wringinsongo disebabkan banyaknya sampah yang ditinggalkan oleh pengunjung terutama di daerah wisata pemandian alam. Teknologi bio-drying melalui proses pengeringan sampah menjadi bahan bakar dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif solusi yang ramah lingkungan yang dapat diwujudkan dalam bentuk kegiatan PkM. Hal ini sejalan dengan Rencana Strategis Polinema (Renstra Polinema 2021-2025) di bidang pemeliharaan lingkungan hidup dan pengelolaan Sumber Daya Alam (SDA) untuk Desa Binaan Polinema, Wringinsongo, Kec. Tumpang, Kab. Malang. Kegiatan PkM yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni-Agustus 2022 berjalan lancar dan para peserta sangat antusias untuk mempraktikkan secara langsung pengeringan sampah organik dengan metode teknologi bio-drying untuk dijadikan sebagai bahan bakar alternatif
