Abstract

Purpose -  This research investigates the correlation between self-esteem and cyberbullying behavior among Islamic higher education students on social media platforms, addressing a critical gap in understanding these behaviors within a specific cultural and religious context. Method -  Employing a descriptive-correlational quantitative survey design, the study involved 321 participants. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation to explore the relationship between self-esteem and cyberbullying behaviors among students in Islamic higher education institutions. Results - The analysis revealed a strong and significant relationship between self-esteem and cyberbullying behaviors in this population, emphasizing the interplay between psychological factors and online behaviors in a distinct cultural setting. Implication - This study offers crucial insights into cyberbullying within a unique cultural and religious framework, paving the way for targeted interventions, informed policymaking, and further academic inquiry into the dynamics of cyberbullying in similar contexts. Originality/Value - As the first research to focus specifically on the cyberbullying behavior of Islamic students on social media, this study contributes a novel perspective to the broader cyberbullying literature and highlights the importance of cultural sensitivity in understanding and addressing online behaviors *** Tujuan - Penelitian ini menyelidiki korelasi antara harga diri dan perilaku cyberbullying di kalangan mahasiswa pendidikan tinggi Islam di platform media sosial, untuk mengatasi kesenjangan kritis dalam memahami perilaku ini dalam konteks budaya dan agama tertentu. Metode - Menggunakan desain survei kuantitatif deskriptif-korelasional, penelitian ini melibatkan 321 peserta. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan korelasi Pearson untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara harga diri dan perilaku cyberbullying di kalangan mahasiswa di lembaga pendidikan tinggi Islam. Hasil - Analisis mengungkapkan hubungan yang kuat dan signifikan antara harga diri dan perilaku cyberbullying dalam populasi ini, yang menekankan interaksi antara faktor psikologis dan perilaku online dalam lingkungan budaya yang berbeda. Implikasi - Studi ini menawarkan wawasan penting tentang cyberbullying dalam kerangka budaya dan agama yang unik, membuka jalan bagi intervensi yang ditargetkan, pembuatan kebijakan yang terinformasi, dan penyelidikan akademis lebih lanjut tentang dinamika cyberbullying dalam konteks yang sama. Keaslian/Nilai - Sebagai penelitian pertama yang secara khusus berfokus pada perilaku cyberbullying siswa Islam di media sosial, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi perspektif baru pada literatur cyberbullying yang lebih luas dan menyoroti pentingnya kepekaan budaya dalam memahami dan menangani perilaku online

Abstract

Most of Minang Women become a trader or seller at Parung Panjang Market, West Java. Regarding to this phenomenon, there are some questions raised like the reasons of selecting career as seller or trader, the relation between social structure of Minang culture in comprehending the market, and the connection between economic behavior of Minang people with the market. Therefore, this research is worth it to be conducted through field research with qualitative approach. Data were collected by observation, interview, and documents. The interview was done to some market players and Minangkabau culture experts. Meanwile, documents are used to elaborate social structure of Minang culture. There are two implications in this research; first, there is a correlation between Minang nomad women in comprehending the market at Paruh Panjang, and second, there is a relationship between social culture systems with economic behavior in gaining success.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the level of theological and teleological intelligence in the moral development of students at the Al-Kifayah Riau Islamic boarding school. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The entire relevant population is selected for the study as the total sample. There are 24 male students and 32 female students living in the Al-Kifayah Islamic boarding school dormitory in Riau, who are the research subjects. Data were collected through a questionnaire created specifically for this research, which consists of structured questions aimed at gathering information about theological and telelogical intelligence. The results of this research are that the level of theological intelligence of the majority of students is high, while the level of teleological intelligence is moderate.

Abstract

This article aims to explore and analyze the secular Dutch government’s stance on Islamic education and its influence on the broader Islamic religious education system in the Netherlands. This qualitative study relies on data collected from library resources, including some regulations, books, and journal articles. Employing interpretative analysis, this study found that the government’s policy on Islamic religious education in the Netherlands has been significantly shaped by its historical and socio-cultural contexts. The growth of Islamic education in the Netherlands is coinciding with the rise in the number of Muslim immigrants. The greater the number of Muslim immigrants in the Netherlands, the stronger the government's attention to Islamic religious education. In the 20th century, the Netherlands showed a significant increase in the number of Muslim immigrants, which influenced the stronger government support for Muslim education. As a result, the Islamic education system has progressed in various aspects and gained its authority. This study implies that social dynamics have significant influences on Islamic education, even in a secular state like the Netherlands

Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakang oleh banyaknya  permasalahan  yang  dialami  guru TK dan PIAUD Ketika mengajarkan tahfidz Al-quan pada anak usia dini.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Metode   penelitian   ini   menggunakan   teknik   wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru, kepala sekolah, dan 12 anak kelas B TK cemara Pekanbaru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk megetahui metode guru dalam mengajar dan kesulitan-kesulitan yang dihadapinya selama proses pembelajaran tahfidz si TK Cemara Pekanbaru. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah metode guru dalam pembelajaran tahfiz yaitu 1) pembukaan yaitu kegiatan berdoa, sambung ayat, dan murojaah ayat-ayat yang sudah dipelajari. 2)Pembelajaran Inti, guru membacakan ayat 3 kali lalu anak-anak mengikuti sebanyak 5 kali, hingga benar-benar hapal. 3) penutup; Anak-anak membaca kembali ayat yang sudah di berikan guru secara satu-persatu, guru menulis buku target hapalan, bercerita kisah-kisah di Al-Quran, dan anak-anak Kembali ke kelas. Kesulitan guru dalam mengajar tahfidz adalah anak-anak bosan,  kurangnya partisipasi orang tua, kurangnya motivasi anak.

Abstract

The study's goal is to determine whether using words with pictures and consonants increases students' language success in the second grade at SDIT Future Islamic School Pekanbaru. The pre-experimental technique was used in the study. The population of this research was the second grade students of SDIT Future Islamic School Pekanbaru in 2022/2023 academic year, There were two classes, II A and II B, each with 25 and 26 students, respectively. The total population was 51 students. The researcher used purposive sampling technique. The total sample of this research was 25 students. The result of the data analysis showed that the students’ vocabulary achievement, in the pre-test was X1 = 45.6and the post-test was X2 = 85.06. The result of the t-test value was (14.00) greater than the t-table value was (2.075). This indicates that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. In other word, after the treatment, it can be concluded that the mean score of the students’ pre-test is smaller than the mean score of the students’ post-test (56.67 < 85.77). It means that the use of CVC word with pictre can increase the students’ vocabulary mastery in English.

Abstract

The goal of this Community Service Program (PKM) is to help students at Pesantren El-Firdaus Rimba Melintang, Rokan Hilir, become more capable leaders.  Future Muslim leaders who preserve Islamic principles, tolerance, and honesty are greatly influenced by their leadership. Before the training was conducted, the students at the El-Firdaus Rimba Melintang Rokan Hilir Islamic have Lack of Leadership Skills.  The training program consists of role-playing exercises, group discussions, practical exercises, and theoretical seminars on Islamic leadership.  A pre-test and post-test approach is used in the study to gauge how well the training worked.  The findings show that students' comprehension of Islamic leadership principles has significantly improved (25%), as have their communication abilities (30%), organisational management (30%), decision-making (28%), and teamwork (22%).  Students' increased self-assurance, initiative, and ability to apply leadership concepts in their everyday lives are further supported by observations and interviews.  In order to guarantee that future generations have the abilities and morals needed to make valuable contributions to society, this program acts as a model for incorporating leadership education into Islamic boarding schools. The implementation of this program faces challenges such as limited access to modern resources and leadership training materials, which can hinder student engagement and learning. The modern resources in question include technology and digital devices such as computers, projectors, and a stable internet connection to support access to training materials in an online and interactive format. In addition, access to the latest training materials, such as leadership training modules based on Islamic values, academic books and articles, and instructional videos from inspirational figures, is often limited due to facility and cost constraints. The absence of these resources can restrict students' opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of leadership concepts and apply them in their daily lives.

Abstract

Bahasa Inggris berfungsi sebagai bahasa internasional yang digunakan sebagai alat komunikasi di seluruh dunia. Seiring dengan kemajuan zaman dan perkembangan teknologi yang semakin canggih, kemampuan menguasai Bahasa Inggris menjadi semakin penting. Khususnya, kemampuan berbicara (speaking) dalam bentuk percakapan sangat krusial, karena menjadi sarana utama untuk menyampaikan ide dan pendapat. Berdasarkan kebutuhan tersebut, tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya menginisiasi pelatihan conversation di Pesantren Tahfidz Takhasus Daarul Qur’an Palembang. Pelatihan ini menggunakan metode drill untuk melatih kompetensi santri dalam berbicara Bahasa Inggris. Proses pelatihan dimulai dengan pengenalan materi melalui sesi ceramah dan diskusi, yang kemudian diikuti dengan penerapan materi menggunakan metode drill. Pentingnya pelatihan ini tidak hanya sebatas pada pengembangan kemampuan berbicara Bahasa Inggris, tetapi juga pada pemahaman dan penerapan kemampuan tersebut dalam konteks percakapan sehari-hari. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi Bahasa Inggris para santri, yang pada gilirannya dapat memberdayakan mereka untuk berkomunikasi secara efektif dalam lingkup global yang semakin terhubung.

Abstract

Membaca membuat seseorang memperoleh informasi dan meningkatkan ilmu pengetahuan berdasarkan pemahamannya masing-masing. Penelaahan ini berupaya mengungkapkan bagaimana kemampun membaca pemahaaman siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negerii 3 Banda Aceh, dan upaya yang dilakukan guru terhadap kemampun membaca pemahaaman siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negerii 3 Banda Aceh. Pendekatan yang digunakan yakni kuantitatif dan jenis penelaahan deskriptif. Sampel di penelaahan ini yakni semua anak didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar N 3 Banda Aceh yang berjumlah 81 orang dan 3 orang guru kelas IV. Tekhnik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes dan wawancara. Siswa diberikan sebuah teks wacana dengan judul yang telah ditetapkan. Kepada guru peneliti menggunakan wawancara tak berstruktur. Hasil penelaahan di Sekolah Dasar N 3 Banda Aceh berada pada kategori cukup dengan nilai 58,15. upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam membaca pemahaman yaitu 1.) guru menumbuhkan minat membaca siswa dengan menyediakan sudut baca yang berisi buku selain buku pelajaran disetiap kelas, 2.) guru memberikan motivasi yang bervariasi dalam mengajarkan materi, 3.) guru memberikan nasehat kepada anak untuk sering membaca dan memahami teks, 4.) menyiapkan skenario dengan menggunakan metode dan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan materi.
