Abstract

Designing a slurry with adequate strength resistance is a major objective in oil and gas completion job. Various studies and research confirms that Compressive Strength (CS) and Shear Bond Strength (SBS) are two parameter which is imperative in describing cement strength in well cementing job. This experimental study introduces a Rice Husk Ash (RHA), an alternative cement additive derived from organic waste. RHA rich in silicon oxide (SiO2) and has a pozzolanic reaction, which is correlated in enhancing cement strength. Serial cement samples with various concentration of RHA were prepared to investigate the effect of RHA concentration to CS and SBS. All samples were then Dried for 24 hours in room condition after completing mixing and molding process. A Biaxial Loading test was then performed to all samples to determine the CS and SBS values by using hydraulic press apparatus. Results from the loading test generally indicate an enhancement of CS and SBS for samples with 31%, 32%, 33%, and 34% RHA. An indication of higher CS and SBS is not found for sample with 35% RHA, comparing with 34% RHA. Thus, 34% RHA is the optimum concentration for theses study, which yield 1312. psi of CS and 158.16 psi of SBS.  Through this study, there is an opportunity for transforming waste material into alternative additive with higher economic value.

Abstract

In oil and gas drilling activities, drilling mud is one of the most important commodities. The main mineral used as a reactive solid that works to suck fresh water and form drilling mud is bentonite. Bentonite which is used as a drilling mud in the market is mostly imported from the United States. In Indonesia there are several areas that have enough potential for bentonite minerals, namely Java, Sumatra, parts of Kalimantan and Sulawesi with reserves estimated to be more than 380 million tons. (Riyanto A, 1994). This study uses bentonite in Kulim area, Tenayan Raya City, Pekanbaru, in hopes of providing useful information input, especially in the use of bentonite minerals in drilling mud. Using local bentonite the price is cheaper and more efficient. The object observed was the effect and number of bentonite mixed with fresh water so that the rheological properties of drilling mud such as viscosity, gel strength, mud cake and filtration loss were obtained and would be in accordance with API specification 13A standards. Whereas to find out the composition and structure of local mineral clay, SEM and EDX analyzes were performed to determine the characteristics and composition of these minerals. From these tests add additives NaCO3 and NaOH as ion exchangers and add the element Na to the sludge. From SEM and EDX analysis, two samples taken in central Sumatra Sumatra can be categorized as clay Illite fe-rich and Clay Illite Platty. Rheological testing of drilling mud and chemical composition analysis of clay Illite fe-rich minerals and Clay Illite Platty in Riau, Central Sumatra and with the addition of additives NaCO3 and NaOH to local Clay, Rheology in mud based on Clay Illite Platty is obtained with Bentonite. commonly used as a basic material for the manufacture of oil and gas drilling mud with API Spec13 A.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah pemberian layanan bimbingan kelompok dapat mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Pakue Tengah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan pre eksperimen dan mengguanakan desain one group pre test and post tes. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 10 siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket kesulitan belajar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif presentase menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan belajar siswa sebelum diberikan perlakuan berupa layanan bimbingan kelompok berada pada kategori tinggi, sesudah diberikan perlakuan mengalami penurunan dan berada pada kategori rendah. Berdasarkan analisis inferensial menggunakan uji wilcoxon  dengan taraf signifikansi  = 0,05 diperoleh Pvalue= 0,005. Pvalue <  (0,005 < 0,05) dengan demikian H0 ditolak. Dari hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa layanan bimbingan kelompok dapat mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Pakue Tengah. Kata Kunci: Kesulitan Belajar, Layanan Bimbingan Kelompok.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk pelaksanaan evaluasi ber­ban­tuan komputer atau computer based testing (CBT) sesuai kriteria kelayakan media dan materi melalui validasi beberapa ahli dan uji coba produk. Model penelitian pengembangan ini adalah model prosedural dengan subjek penelitian 4 respon­den yang terdiri dari dua orang validator ahli media dan dua orang validator ahli materi dan 1 orang guru. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi, format penilaian dengan kriteria yang meliputi penilaian aspek isi materi berupa tes pilihan ganda dan penilaian aspek media. Angket diguna­kan dalam pelaksanaan uji coba untuk melihat kemudahan bagi subjek coba meng­gu­na­kan produk CBT. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif untuk menge­ta­hui kualitas produk CBT. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa produk CBT berada pada kategori sangat  baik (89%), untuk aspek ini termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik, dan dari aspek media termasuk kategori juga sangat baik. Hasil analisis berdasarkan uji coba produk juga berada pada kategori sangat baik. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa produk CBT ini layak digunakan sebagai media alternatif untuk memecahkan permasalahan pelaksa­naan evaluasi pem­be­lajaran.Abstract: This research aimed at creating a product for conducting evaluation using com­puter or it is called computer based testing (CBT). It was made based on the appropriate characteristics of media and material, and was validated by some experts and by conducting a product trial. The model of this developmental research was a procedural model with 4 respondent, two experts of media validator, two experts of material validator, and one teacher. The instruments used in this research were documentation, evaluation  format with the chriteria consisted of material content assessment in the form of multiple choice and assessment of media aspect. The questionnaire used in the trial is to see the easiness of the subjek to use CBT product. The data were analized quatitatively descriptive to find out the quality of the CBT product. The result showed that the CBT product was at the level of very good cathegory (89%), and the media aspect was also in the very good cathegory. The result of the  analysis on the product trial showed that CBT product was appropriate to be used as an alternatif media to solve the problem of conducting learning evaluation.

Abstract

This research is a procedural development with research subjects 4 respondents, consisting of two people validator media experts and two experts: two lecturers material UNP and two Masters SMP N 1 Batusanggkar. The instrument includes the content of the material aspects and aspects of the media. Data was analyzed by qualitative descriptive to determine the quality of interactive multimedia in teaching IPS.Hasil analysis pointed that the interactive multimedia teaching material, entitled Development-based Interactive Media Mind Mapping with director Macromedia MX 2004 applications for learning social studies to junior class IX are packaged in a CD Learning this into Category Very Baik.Berdasarkan Results deskripstif test data experts point out that this interactive multimedia teaching materials fit for use as a source of learning and alternative media in solving problems of social studies in junior high.

Abstract

This research is based on the problems that exist in curriculum changes, with changes in the curriculum of course also bringing changes to the student learning outcomes assessment system that will be used later. The many assessment formats that must be carried out in the 2013 curriculum, require extra work each time the exam if this is done manually. This of course will take a lot of time for the teacher to do the assessment. So it requires an application to conduct an assessment. Because the duties and obligations of teachers are so many, one of which is to conduct an assessment. This study aims to develop and measure the level of validity and practicality of the student learning outcomes assessment format. This type of research is development research known as Research and Development (R&D). This study uses the Borg and Gall development model. The development of this research procedure consists of four stages, namely stage of informationgathering, planning, early product development stage, field testing, revision and final products. The product validity test was carried out by three validators, namely one content validator and two media validators. The product trial was conducted on 4 teachers from each school, namely SMP Laboratorium UNP, SMPN 4 Padang and SMPN 29 Padang, by collecting data from each respondent using a questionnaire. This development research resulted in a product in the form of alearning outcome assessment format Compact Disk (CD). This research has been tested and is feasible to be developed. The results of data analysis show that the assessment format has a content validity level of 3.9, while media validation is 4.6. In terms of practicality has been declared practical by the respondents that is equal to 4.22. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the assessment format can be used in assessing learning outcomes for schools that have used thecurriculum 2013.Keywords: Development, Assessment Format, Learning Outcomes, 2013 Curriculum

Abstract

Application of the learning process in a campus using the conventional method of the longer lead the learning process is not effective. This raises problems in the campus environment how to create an interactive learning atmosphere so that it does not cause boredom towards students. The concept of E-Learning is a technology that can provide solutions to learning problems. The use of E-Learning can be accessed by utilizing internet technology through computers. The method discussed in thisconcept E-Learning consists of distance learning and blended learning. Distance learning is a model of distance learning where distance and time are not a problem in its operation, while blended learning is a learning model that combines conventional learning techniques with the use of technology for the distribution of learning such as the web.Keywords : analysis, e-learning, conventional, distance learning, blended learning

Abstract

The aim of the research was to know the effect of the implementation of an inquiry learning strategy in increasing students’ learning motivation and achivement. The research is classified into a classroom action research. The research was conducted in the teaching of Program Evaluation subject at Educational Technology Study Program. The subject of the research was the seventh semester students. The research was conducted in three circles. Each circle consisted of four steps: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data were collected through observation, questionnaire, and test. The data were analyzed descriptively and statistically. The findings of the research showed that the use of inquiry learning strategy increased students’ learning motivation in the teaching of Evaluation Program subject. The increase of students’ motivation was observed individually and classically. With high learning motivation, in the long run, it is predicted that students’ learning achievement would also increase.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan evaluasi terdapat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi yaitu alat pengukur, evaluator, peserta didik dan situasi yang akhirnya dapat berimbas kepada hasil belajar. Evaluator tidak hanya mendasarkan penilaian secara langsung dari hasil perkuliahan, tapi juga harus memperhatikan faktor-faktor pelaksanaannya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk Computer Based Testing (CBT) yang sesuai dengan kriteria kelayakan media dan materi pada mata kuliah Evaluasi Pembelajaran melalui validasi beberapa ahli dan uji coba produk. Model penelitian pengembangan ini adalah model prosedural dengan subjek penelitian terdiri dari validator ahli media dan validator ahli materi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah format penilaian dengan kriteria yang meliputi aspek isi materi berupa Tes Pilihan Ganda dan aspek media, kemudian angket yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan uji coba untuk melihat kemudahan bagi subjek coba menggunakan produk CBT. CBT dikembangkan dengan 2 tipe yaitu dengan software dan online yang dilaksanakan secara serentak dengan 2 laboratorium komputer yang berbeda. Hasil pengembangan dikategorikan produk CBT mata kuliah evaluasi pembelajaran layak untuk digunakan, sedangkan untuk hasil ujicoba efektifitas penggunaan menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam penggunaan tes dengan sistem manual dengan CBT baik secara online maupun software. Namun fungsi utama dari CBT tetap pada kemudahan bagi evaluator untuk melakukan verivikasi dan scoring yang dapat dilakukan dengan segera.. Kata Kunci: evaluasi, computer based testing, evaluator.

Abstract

The use of paper tests has created problems for evaluation such as demotivation, psychological burden, and lengthy scoring process and analysis of answers. Kahoot is an application that offers digital evaluation. Examining the effectiveness of its use is therefore necessary. This Research and Development (R&D) study adopts the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research instrument consists of test items and questionnaire sheets. The results of the validation of items in the category of “appropriate to use” include many revisions and recommendations. The results of the test items obtained as many as 46 questions in the valid category. The results of the practicality test in the “adequately practical” category show a score of 3.80. The effectiveness test results in two test classes were 0.068. The research indicates that this product is usable, but the effectiveness test data obtained show that there is no significant difference between digital evaluations using the Kahoot application. However, the norm reference value differs between the two classes. This means that a visually appealing digital evaluation can increase a student’s enthusiasm for learningPenggunaan paper test telah memberikan kesan membosankan, beban psikologis, proses skoring yang lama serta analisis jawaban pada soal essay merupakan permasalahan evaluasi. Pleh sebab itu, pengembangan evaluasi digital dengan menggunakan Kahoot dan melihat keefektifan pengembangan kedalam penggunaannya sangat dibutuhkan. Penelitian pengembangan ini dengan mengadobsi model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Instrumen penelitian meliputi butir tes dan lembaran angket. Analisis data yaitu data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil data kualitatif dari validator tentang butir soal serta produk berisi saran dan masukan. Hasil validasi butir soal kategori layak digunakan dengan banyak revisi, hasil uji coba butir soal diperoleh sebanyak 46 soal dalam kategori valid. Hasil uji kepraktisan kategori cukup praktis dengan skor 3.80. Hasil uji efektifitas pada 2 kelas ujicoba, didapat sebesar 0,068. Berdasarkan hasil pengembangan, maka produk ini terkategori layak untuk digunakan, namun dari hasil uji efektifitas didapat data bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara evaluasi digital menggunakan aplikasi Kahoot. Hal ini memberikan makna bahwa evaluasi digital yang menarik mampu merubah semangat belajar mahasiswa. Kendala lain juga difaktori oleh kekuatan provider yang digunakan, sehingga kualitas kecepatan dan kepuasan usebilitas tidak terpenuhi.
