Abstract

This conceptual study explores the interrelationships among spiritual leadership, internal marketing, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) within Islamic educational institutions. Utilizing a narrative literature review of 32 peer-reviewed publications spanning 2000–2024, the paper synthesizes theoretical and empirical insights to clarify how spiritually grounded leadership practices shape employees’ attitudinal and behavioral outcomes. The review identifies spiritual leadership as a values-based framework that promotes meaning, purpose, and ethical direction in organizational settings, yet prior studies reveal inconsistencies regarding its direct influence on OCB, indicating the potential role of mediating variables. Internal marketing is proposed as a strategic mechanism that aligns institutional values with employee experience, strengthens motivation, and enhances prosocial behaviors such as OCB. Drawing on Social Exchange Theory and the Stimulus–Organism–Response (SOR) model, this paper introduces a conceptual framework positioning internal marketing as a mediator between spiritual leadership and OCB, thereby addressing a significant gap in the literature. The proposed model offers practical implications for leaders seeking to cultivate spiritually grounded, value-driven, and performance-oriented cultures in Islamic educational environments while providing a foundation for future empirical validation.

Abstract

This study explores the major determinants of feedback on shopping satisfaction. This research is essential to provide empirical evidence about the factors that can ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. By surveying respondents that are users of e-commerce website services, this study uses the construct validity test using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with SmartPLS software application version 2.0. The results explain the visual involvement variable does not correlate with customer satisfaction and loyalty. The interactivity website variable has a strong relationship with customer satisfaction and loyalty. Therefore, customers need service communication interactivity for service providers and merchants. This research contributes to the development of consumer experience theory and online consumer experience.

Abstract

This study is grounded in stakeholder theory and sustainability theory, which assert that corporate sustainability is determined by an organization’s ability to effectively manage financial strategies, risk, and integrated synergy across organizational units. Although prior literature has examined the role of financial strategy and risk management in influencing corporate performance, studies that simultaneously investigate the combined effects of these variables while incorporating synergy mechanisms as a mediating factor in corporate sustainability remain limited. Addressing this research gap, the present study aims to analyze the influence of financial strategy and risk management on corporate sustainability with synergy mechanisms serving as a mediator. The findings indicate that both financial strategy and risk management have a positive and significant effect on corporate sustainability and play a critical role in strengthening organizational synergy mechanisms. Furthermore, synergy mechanisms are shown to contribute positively and significantly to corporate sustainability and effectively mediate the relationships between financial strategy and corporate sustainability, as well as between risk management and corporate sustainability. These findings underscore the importance of an integrated and collaborative strategic approach in promoting long-term corporate sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the turnaround and recovery strategies employed by Ecolab International Indonesia MNEs after facing significant financial decline caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This research analyzed internal factors, external opportunities, and threats to define effective strategies using a multi-method approach. Qualitative interviews were conducted to identify key themes, supported by examining company publications, especially annual financial reports from 2018 to 2022, to understand economic trends before, during, and after the pandemic. Thematic analysis was utilized to analyze the results, involving coding interview transcripts using ATLAS.ti and validating these themes through member checking to ensure reliability. Our findings show that Ecolab's turnaround strategy (cost reduction, enhancing value in sustainability, restructuring leadership, and organizational culture) was essential in addressing immediate and long-term challenges. The recovery strategy (operational and financial strategies, strategic focus area, regulatory and market dynamics) helped the company navigate the pandemic's impact and its position for sustainable growth. This study breaks new ground by integrating sustainability into strategic frameworks, aligning with global trends. Offering fresh perspectives enhances the relevance and value of MNEs' corporate strategy research in emerging markets. Additionally, our findings provide actionable insights for other companies to effectively incorporate sustainable practices into their turnaround and recovery strategies, ensuring long-term growth and regulatory compliance.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of excessive product packaging (EPP) on consumers' perceptions of greenwashing, green confusion, and green skepticism, and their implications for green brand equity (GBEQ), examining brand credibility as a moderator in the Indonesian bottled water market. A quantitative, cross-sectional causal-comparative survey was conducted, with data collected via an online questionnaire distributed to Indonesian consumers who recently purchased AQUA or Le Minerale, using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS 4, with multigroup analysis assessing differences between the two brands. Results show EPP significantly and positively affects greenwashing, green confusion, and green skepticism. Only green skepticism significantly and negatively influences GBEQ, functioning as the sole mediator linking EPP to GBEQ. Contrary to expectations, higher brand credibility strengthens, rather than mitigates, the adverse effect of green confusion on GBEQ. Structural relationships did not differ significantly between AQUA and Le Minerale.

Abstract

The rapid growth of financial technology (fintech) among Indonesian university students has reshaped financial transactions, yet it has not always led to prudent financial management practices. This study examines the influence of financial literacy and financial socialization on financial management behavior, with perceived usefulness of fintech as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was used, with survey data collected from 309 valid responses from undergraduate students in Indonesia who actively use fintech. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings show that financial literacy (? = 0.216, p 0.05) and financial socialization (? = 0.431, p 0.05) have positive and significant effects on financial management behavior. Perceived usefulness of fintech also has a positive and significant effect on financial management behavior (? = 0.252, p 0.05), contrary to the hypothesized negative relationship. The mediation analysis further shows that perceived usefulness of fintech partially mediates the relationships between financial literacy and financial management behavior and between financial socialization and financial management behavior. These findings suggest that perceived usefulness of fintech strengthens financial management behavior among Indonesian university students.

Abstract

Digital financial innovations, particularly e-commerce platforms and PayLater services, have significantly reshaped the purchasing habits of Generation Z students by increasing exposure to online shopping convenience, sales promotions, and fear of missing out (FoMO). This study aims to explore the impact of sales promotion and FoMO on impulsive buying behavior, and to analyze the moderating role of PayLater within these relationships. A quantitative approach was employed, using a survey method involving 308 Generation Z students who utilized PayLater services for online purchases. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and subsequently analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS. The results reveal that sales promotion (b = 0.201; p = 0.007), FoMO (b = 0.493; p 0.001), and PayLater (b = 0.207; p = 0.001) each demonstrate a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying behavior. Furthermore, PayLater significantly moderates the connection between FoMO and impulsive buying behavior (b = 0.090; p = 0.045), although its moderating effect on the sales promotion-impulsive buying relationship was not supported (b = ?0.033; p = 0.374). These findings suggest that the convenience of digital payment systems might increase impulsive consumption, emphasizing the necessity for improved financial awareness and responsible promotional strategies.

Abstract

Technological advancements in finance have created significant prospects for easier access to financing, particularly for micro to medium-sized enterprises. However, the adoption rate of fintech lending by MSMEs, especially in Indonesia, is still below target. This research aims to provide an empirical contribution by testing the TAM and UTAUT models more comprehensively and to empirically examine the financial lending behavior of MSMEs in Indonesia, which can be utilized by regulators. The research model includes performance expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use. Data was collected using a quantitative approach to MSMEs in Indonesia and empirically tested using the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) method. The research results indicate that performance expectations and perceived usefulness significantly influence attitudes as dominant determinants, reflecting the rational consideration of MSMEs regarding perceived economic benefits and business sustainability. Meanwhile, perceived ease of use does not directly influence attitudes but acts as a supporting factor that strengthens adoption by increasing perceived benefits. These findings indicate the importance of a comprehensive approach that considers functional, social, and contextual factors in driving the adoption of digital financing by MSMEs in Indonesia.
