Abstract

The aim of this research is to observe social mobility of Java people as transmigrant community and Tolaki as local people in southeast Sulawesi. This study used qualitative approach, and carried out in January to July 2014. The key informants in this study are six people, Javanese farmers community leaders and local farmers, and javanese transmigrant farmers whose are social climbing mobility (upwar social mobility) and local farmers with social sinking mobility (downward social mobility). Research result show that vertical social mobility of Javanese transmigrant farmers through productions organisations, expertise organizations, and institutional village i.e. cooperative, farmers group and gapoktan, and political organization. Relations of productions on Java farmer and in the status peasant transformed from no land into farmer as land owner. However, the local ethnic has declined on social status through path of the culture system and marriage custom. Research result showed that through individual land ownership local people have easily for buying their land. Relations of productions is change especially for Tolaki people through transmigration program that change the communal land ownership to individual land ownership. Abstract

This research was conducted from July to August of 2013 with the aim to analyze and to evaluate the empowerment of the poor in managing and utilizing the resources possessed optimally through the implementation of the Desa Mandiri Pangan’s program in Tobimeita Village Abeli ​​District of Kendari. The technique of determining the sample was done by proportional random sampling in four affinity groups and one group of non-affinity with a total sample of 29 people. The research design was a survey approach by using secondary and primary data, both quantitative and qualitative. The Data analysis method used in this research was descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the research indicate that the preparation stage has conducted the selection of location, the determination of the companion, the establishment and determination of the village food team, the preparation of the basic data of the village, the establishment and growth of Kembaga Keuangan Desa (LKD), organizing and mentoring activities, the preparation of the Lembaga Keuangan Desa (RPWD), training on program implementation preparation, and channeling the sosial assistance fund. The level of growth has conducted the training activities, increased accessibility of community, strengthened institutional, developed the food security system, strengthened the Dasa Wisma, and supported the facilities and infrastructure. At the stage of development has been doing the skills upgrading and accessing to capital, the growth of food reserves, the utilization of food resources, and the development of facilities and infrastructure. The conclusion of this research result shows that the program implementation of Desa Mandiri Pangan in the village of Tobimeita starts from the preparation stage in the first year, the growth stage in the second year until the third year of development phase has been going well

Abstract

This study aims to see community perceptions and attitudes towards the activities of smelter factories in Morosi Village, Morosi District, Konawe District. Perception in this research is the community's perspective on smelter factory activities. This study looks at perceptions and attitudes towards changes in income, employment opportunities, and business opportunities. The purpose of this study is to find out how the perceptions and attitudes of the community towards the impact of economic activities caused by smelter factories in Morosi Village, Morosi District, Konawe District. The population in this study is 97 heads of households. Determination of the sample is done by simple random sampling, so the sample in the study is 49 respondents. The results of this study indicate that people's perceptions and attitudes towards the impact of the existence of smelter factories on income, employment opportunities, and dominant business opportunities are in the neutral category. That is, the community considers that the activity of the smelter factory in Morosi Village does not have a significant influence on the economy of the local community.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the women work level clove plant in working the garden in the Puulemo Village, Lembo District, North Konawe. The way to get  the research purpose was done by taking three variables: the identity of the respondents (age, education and experience of trying to farm), a work ethics (discipline, morale and mutual cooperation), and the value of culture (norms, social interaction and the principle of kinship). The population in this research women farmers who work in clove plantations 108 people , with a total sample is 27 respondents , or about 25 % by using Simple Random Sampling technique . The women farmers work ethics level can be assessed by using the formula interval . The results showed that women work level in working at garden clove plant are in the high category .   Keywords : women farmers, work ethics, clove plantations

Abstract

The aims of this research are to describes the process of implementation by the fun cooking of Ternate traditionally food activities and to analyzes the increasing of children autonomy in eating through fun cooking activities of Ternate traditionally foods. Respondents of the research involved of 12 children from group A at PAUD Titian Kasih. The method of this research consists: (a) plan, (b) action and observation, (c) reflection. The score of data from children autonomy in eating were analyzed by using quantitative and qualitative approach. The results shows that children could improve their autonomy in eating, they are like definite of choice when selection food or drink to consume, responsibility about the selection food or drink to consume, then doing something without helping from another people. Quantitative data shows that the children autonomy cycles have increased. Based on the data results shows in the end of the first cycle, it shows that children autonomy has increased about 10.37%, when pretest children autonomy has significantly 41,33 or 46,96%, therefore in the first cycle be 46 or 57,33%. The mean score in second cycle has significantly 64,47 or 79,92.

Abstract

 Pandemi COVID-19 telah mengancam nyawa miliaran masyarakat di dunia. Tidak terkecuali Indonesia dan masyarakat nelayan yang ada di Kelurahan Purirano Kota Kendari.  Ikan merupakan salah satu sumber protein hewani yang banyak dikonsumsi masyarakat, mudah didapat, dan harganya murah, namun ikan cepat mengalami proses pembusukan sehingga mudah rusak (Perishabel food) akhirnya tidak dapat bertahan lama. Kelompok Pengolahan ikan Citra Permata Kendari adalah kelompok wanita yang bergerak dalam industri Rumah Tangga dalam skala kecil yang mengolah hasil perikanan dan laut menjadi produk aneka olahan seperti kerupuk ikan dan ikan asin, abon ikan, dan lain-lain. Kendala yang dihadapi adalah teknologi produksi masih sederhana, manajemen pemasaran terbatas, dan packing produk yang dihasilkan kurang menarik. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi pemanfaatan media online sebagai sarana pemasaran hasil produksi, juga lebih memberdayakan kelompok pengolahan ikan Citra Permata Kendari yang termasuk dalam kategori Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM). Metode yang digunakan yaitu penyuluhan kepada khalayak sasaran – melalui penyampaian materi terkait pemasaran online danmengunggah produk-produk yang dihasilkan oleh Kelompok Pengolahan ikan Citra Permata Kendari untuk membuka wawasan mengenai penggunaan media elektronik atau internet agar mereka dapat memperluas jangkauan pemasaran atas produk yang mereka hasilkan, sehingga berimbas pada peningkatan omset. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa wawasan sasaran sehingga memiliki kemampuan untuk memasarkan produk yang dihasilkan secara online melalui penggunaan media elektronik atau internet sehingga mampu menjangkau pasar yang lebih luas dengan biaya rendah, serta mitra memiliki media promosi produk aneka olahan ikan dalam bentuk brosur/lieflet, CD promosi, serta website, sehingga hasil dari kegiatan sasaran berdampak pada kesejahteraan keluarga.

Abstract

Pulau Saponda Laut yang terdapat di Kabupaten Konawe Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara merupakan salah satu daerah yang memiliki potensi wisata kepulauan yang sedang dikembangkan oleh pemerintah daerah. Kegiatan pelatihan pengolahan ikan tongkol dalam bentuk bakso ikan di Desa Saponda Laut Kecamatan Soropia Kabupaten Konawe ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat nelayan melalui olahan ikan tongkol menjadi bakso ikan, juga dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomisnya dengan memberikan alternatif pangan kepada masyarakat. Ikan tongkol sebagai bahan baku dalam pembuatan bakso ikan karena jenis ikan ini bergizi tinggi, mudah didapatkan dan pada saat musim penangkapannya tersedia dalam jumlah melimpah dengan harga mudah. Sedangkan bakso ikan dipilih karena panganan ini merupakan paganan ini digemari oleh masyarakat secara umum dan masyarakat di Desa Saponda Laut khususnya. Pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan cara demontrasi langsung keseluruhan proses pembuatan bakso ikan tongkol di depan ibu-ibu rumah tangga di Desa Saponda Laut. Hasil kegiatan ini yaitu dapat menambah pemahaman masyarakat nelayan terhadap jenis-jenis produk hasil diversifikasi olahan ikan. Metode yang dilakukan dengan metode ceramah serta demonstrasi yang berkenaan dengan proses pembuatan olahan ikan tongkol dalam bentuk bakso ikan mulai dari penanganan bahan baku, cara penggunaan alat-alat produksi, proses pencampuran bahan, pemasakan sampai pengemasan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mampu memberikan kontribusi yang luar biasa bagi para peserta, yaitu mereka mampu mengolah ikan tongkol menjadi bakso ikan yang sehat. Selain itu para peserta juga menghendaki kegiatan serupa diadakan secara berkala dengan jenis produk olahan yang didemonstrasikan dalah produk yang berbeda.

Abstract

PKM activity carried out in Konawe Selatan District aims to introduce various flavors of fish floss to women fishingcommunity and also to improve the production process and business management. Fish is one of the sources of animal proteinthat is easy to consume, cheap and widely consumed by the public. However, because fish can quickly decompose and be easilyperishable, it is needed to process food in order to maintain quality and nutrition. Fish floss with various flavors (original, sweet,and spicy) is believed can diversify fishery products and elevate the economic value of fish which finally can elevate the familyincome. The method of approach used for this PKM is counseling methods and on-the-spot practice of making fish floss and thepackaging to the fisherwomen in Langgapulu village, Kolono district, South Konawe Regency. Moreover, the fisherwomen willbe taught about production and marketing management approach such as management problems of production, and marketingmanagement issues. These activities include theory and practice which includes: (1) extension or counseling of fish floss process;(2) packaging process of fish products, (3) Partnering or inviting media partner, and (4) financing advice. It is hoped that thewoman community in Langgapulu village has knowledge and skills about the micro-business especially fish floss business. Thefisherwomen also know about marketing networks, business media partner or promotion of fish floss products in the form ofbrochure/ leaflet, website, and social media which can help improve the economy of the household.

Abstract

This study aims: 1) Knowing the role of farmer groups on the capacity of rice farmers (2) Knowing the capacity of farmers in lowland rice farming (3) Knowing the relationship between farmer groups and farmer capacity. rice fields in Lamomea Village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency. This research was conducted from April to 2021. The sampling technique used was the census method, and the data analysis used was the class interval formula and Spearman Rank Correlation. The results of the farmer group research in Lamomea Village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency have been carried out quite well, whereas a learning class, as a vehicle for cooperation and production units, there are 23 (95.83%) respondents. The capacity of Rice Paddy Farmers in Lamomea Village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency has been carried out sufficiently, which is possible from the technical ability, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and ability that has been carried out sufficiently by farmers in this research area as many as 23 (95), 8%) respondents. The role of farmer groups on the capacity of lowland rice farmers there is a very close relationship between the role of farmer groups and the capacity of rice farmers with a correlation coefficient value of 0.919 with a significant level of 0.000. Where the increase in both the role of farmer groups will increase the capacity of lowland rice farmers.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) determine the level of motivation of farmers in Baruga Village, Baruga District, Kendari City. 2) find out the income level of rice farmers in Baruga Village, Baruga District, Kendari City. 3) find out the relationship between motivation and income of lowland rice farmers petani in Baruga Village, Baruga District, Kendari City. This research was conducted in Baruga Village, Baruga District, Kendari City in January 2021. With a sample of 24 people. This research is quantitative. Data were analyzed using class interval formulas and quantitative descriptive deskriptif using Spearman rank correlation to determine the relationship between motivation and income. The results of this study indicate that the level of motivation (direction and persistence) of rice farmers is high, while for motivation (direction) is classified as moderate. And the relationship between farmer motivation and income is said to have a close relationship. (significant).
