Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa melalui penerapan metode EduTainment Role Play. Metode ini mengombinasikan pendekatan edukatif dan hiburan dalam pembelajaran berbicara, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan kemampuan berbicara siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X-1 SMA Saraswati 1 Denpasar. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, tes berbicara, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berbicara siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Pada siklus I, rata-rata nilai keterampilan berbicara siswa meningkat dari 65 menjadi 75, sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat lagi menjadi 85. Peningkatan ini terjadi pada aspek kelancaran, ketepatan diksi, dan ekspresi verbal siswa. Selain itu, hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa 85% siswa merasa lebih percaya diri dalam berbicara setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode ini. Observasi kelas juga mengindikasikan peningkatan partisipasi aktif siswa selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Faktor keberhasilan metode ini meliputi pendekatan berbasis peran, suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, serta refleksi dan umpan balik dari guru. Dengan demikian, metode EduTainment Role Play terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa dan dapat diterapkan sebagai strategi inovatif dalam pembelajaran bahasa.

Abstract

Revolusi industri di era 4.0 membuat perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi bergerak cepat dan canggih. Revolusi pembelajaran berbasis digital merupakan proses pembelajaran yang menggunakan media elektronik. Pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di era 4.0 perlu digalakkan. Leterasi digital dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di era 4.0 banyak kegunaannya serta manfaatnya. Terutama di dalam mendapatkan informasi serta menginformasikan hasil kerja peserta didik di media sosial. Literasi digital yang digunakan harus berorientasi pada kemampuan seseorang untuk berpikir kritis dan menggunakan bahasa yang komunikatif. Permasalahan yang dihadapi tentang tantangan leterasi digital bagi guru, dosen, siswa dan mahasiswa, dan metode pembelajaran yang cocok dengan pembelajaran berbasis literasi digital. Solusi yang akan diberikan untuk menghadapi permasalahan itu memberikann sosialisasi tentang leterasi digital di era 4.0. Untuk harapan yang ingin dicapai dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berbasis leterasi digital adalah masyarakat khususnya guru menjadi lebih melek teknologi, mempermudah kerja guru, dan memperluas pengetahuan peserta didik.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah berbasis pendekatan reflektif dan studi kasus sebagai bagian untuk mengembangkan profesionalisme guru. Berdasarkan hasil analisis situasi ditemukan bahwa para guru memiliki motivasi yang tinggi dalam menulis, namun masih memiliki kendala dalam penerapannya. Hal ini mendorong tim pelaksana PkM untuk memberikan pelatihan sekaligus pendampingan kepada para guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah yang relevan dengan pengalaman praktik mengajar. Kegiatan PkM ini melibatkan 12 guru dari berbagai bidang studi sebagai peserta. Kegiatan di awali dengan analisis kebutuhan, workhop, praktik terbimbing, klinik penulisan, dan forum diseminasi. Hasil keterlaksanaan kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor pemahaman dan pengetahuan para guru menunjukkan hasil yang postif, yakni mencapai 4,4; kepuasan metode pelatihan 4,5; dan 72% peserta menyelesaikan draf artikel. Kemudian, sebanyak 65% naskah mengalami peningkatan signifikan dan 54% guru siap mengirimkan artikelnya ke jurnal ilmiah Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan penulisan artikel ilmiah dengan menggunakan pendekatan reflektif dan studi kasus terbukti efektif dalam mendorong kemampuan para guru dalam menciptakan sebuah karya tulis yang siap dipublikasikan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, pemahaman terhadap struktur penulisan ilmiah, serta memicu terbentuknya komunitas belajar menulis di sekolah. Pelatihan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi ilmiah guru serta dapat dijadikan contoh untuk diterapkan di sekolah lain sebagai bagian dari pengembangan profesionalisme pendidik

Abstract

Vocabulary development is critical from both a theoretical and a practical point of view. Vocabulary is a central factor in the process of language learning. This research is based on the idea that students are required to use English in daily interactions in the school's language program. Therefore, learning English vocabulary is crucial for improving students’ language skills. Teachers must know the students' abilities before conducting the learning activities. This study used ex post facto research design to reveal students’ vocabulary ability by conducting sentence construction tests. The study found that students' vocabulary is at a sufficient level. Therefore, students are required to improve their vocabulary to a higher level. This study highlights that various vocabulary activities should be intensified in the classroom to build up students’ active vocabulary and enable them to speak communicatively.

Abstract

Humanistic education emphasizes the importance of understanding each individual as a human being. A humanist educator treats his students according to their potential. Humanistic education can provide direction to all components of learning. All educational components are directed at forming an ideal human being, namely a human being capable of achieving self-actualization. This research uses qualitative research methods where data is collected by examining various sources related to humanistic education. Data was collected through literature study interviews with teachers and students selected as research subjects. The collected data was analyzed descriptively to reveal teachers' and students' perceptions of the importance of humanist education in Indonesia. This research shows that humanist education is necessary to improve students' competence and character. This research implies that it is necessary to improve the implementation of humanist education in all educational institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to improve speaking skills using a reflective approach so that class X TITL 2 students achieve KKM. The method used in the research is classroom action research carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, reflection and decision stages. The first cycle held 2x meetings, while in the second cycle there were 3x meetings. The subjects in this research were students of class The reflective approach is carried out using reflective sheets, so that students can freely express their thoughts and feelings regarding learning in class. The research results are an indicator of success in this research seen from learning completeness of 75%. Students who achieved a minimum completion criteria score of 70. From the research results in cycle I, students who had achieved the KKM were 58%, with an average score of 6.96 and in cycle II learning outcomes increased by 88.5% with an average score of 10.62, so the increase was 30%. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes on the concept of student speaking ability can be improved through a reflective approach

Abstract

This study focuses on enhancing mindfulness in communication among Grade X TAV-1 students at SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar through the integration of Tri Hita Karana values. The study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis & McTaggart model, which includes four stages in each cycle: planning, action, observation, and reflection.. The findings clearly showed a significant improvement after implementing Tri Hita Karana values in learning to foster mindfulness in communication. This is evidenced by the continuous increase in students’ test scores: the average pre-test score was 65.5, which increased to 82.4 in the first cycle and further to 91.4 in the second cycle. Therefore, this research is expected to contribute to the development of more mindful communication skills based on local wisdom

Abstract

Students in Indonesian language education programs exhibit limited speaking skills, particularly in fluency, clarity, and depth of information. To bridge this gap, this study aims to create a speaking textbook incorporating Tri Hita Karana. This Research and Development (R&D) used the ADDIE approach. The study subjects included six specialist language education experts, a local cultural expert, and a speaking skills instructor, and it was tested on nine third-semester students. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and pre-/post-tests. The research instruments used questionnaires and test items. Data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches. The study results showed that the approved textbook received excellent ratings for reflective scaffolding (M = 4.7) and cultural relevance (M = 4.2). The pilot test showed substantial improvements in speaking performance; 80% of students said that reflective exercises improved self-assessment, and 75% effectively integrated Tri Hita Karana ideas into academic and social discussions. It was concluded that the textbook successfully fostered self-confidence, critical thinking, and culturally informed speaking skills. Furthermore, this study implies that reflective and contextually relevant materials can enhance the theory and practice of speaking education.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative study aimed at: 1) Identifying the pattern of slang language usage among eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Mengwi; 2) Analyzing the factors influencing the use of slang language and its impact on the ability to use proper and correct Indonesian language. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis methods. The findings show that eighth-grade students actively use slang in daily communication, especially within their social environment. The main factors driving the use of slang are technological development, social media, and environmental influence. Excessive use of slang has the potential to reduce students' ability to use Indonesian language according to its rules. Therefore, guidance from the school, teachers, and parents is needed to direct students to use language appropriately in the right context and situations Abstrak Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengetahui pola penggunaan bahasa gaul di kalangan siswa kelas VIII C SMP Negeri 4 Mengwi; 2) Menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penggunaan bahasa gaul serta dampaknya terhadap kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas VIII C secara aktif menggunakan bahasa gaul dalam komunikasi sehari-hari, terutama dalam lingkungan pergaulan mereka. Faktor utama yang mendorong penggunaan bahasa gaul adalah perkembangan teknologi, media sosial, dan pengaruh lingkungan. Penggunaan bahasa gaul yang berlebihan berpotensi mengurangi kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan bahasa Indonesia yang sesuai dengan kaidah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembinaan dari pihak sekolah, guru, dan orang tua untuk mengarahkan siswa agar dapat menggunakan bahasa sesuai dengan konteks dan situasi yang tepat.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research (PTK) carried out in Class XI F 8 of SMA Negeri 6 Denpasar for the 2023/2024 academic year. This PTK aims to determine whether the implementation of the problem based learning method can improve the ability to understand the intrinsic elements of short stories and to find the right steps in implementing the problem based learning model to improve students' ability to understand the intrinsic elements of short stories. The data in this PTK is collected through observation methods and test methods. The collected data was then analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The research results showed that the students' initial test results reached an average score of 5.4, in the first cycle it increased to 6.7, until finally in the second cycle the students' average score increased to 8.05. The steps for the problem based learning model in understanding intrinsic elements are (1) group division, (2) the teacher provides lesson materials in the form of short story texts, (3) each group divides its members according to the questions contained in the text, (4) forming an expert group to discuss the topic in the questions they got, (5) expert group, returning to the original group, (6) presentation, (7) learning evaluation.
