Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a statistically significant difference between students who get social science field instruction using ICT and those who receive science natural field instruction without using ICT. Quantitative research is used in the conduct of this study. This study's methodology is a quasi-experiment. This design treats the experimental group while doing nothing for the control group. The purpose of this treatment is to test the effects of a certain treatment. The pupils at SD Negeri Keune in fifth grade during the academic year 2022–2023 make up the population of this study. There are 48 students in total, divided into the courses V1 and V2, which total 48. Since there were only two fifth grade classes, those pupils were used as the sample for this study, with class V2 students serving as the experiment group and class V1 children serving as the control group. Each cohort included 24 pupils. The Mann-Whitney test was used to examine the obtained data. The Mann-Whitney test result reveals that the Mann-Whitney U test's Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.000. It indicates that using ICT to teach social science to SD Negeri Pucok Pulu fifth graders has been successful in enhancing the students' capacity to master the subject.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the validity of the entrepreneurship module integrated spatial culture based project best learning. The research was carried out in Banda Aceh City and Greater Aceh District. This research is developmental research. As far as the stages undertaken in this research include the collection of information, data collection, preparation of teaching modules, small-scale trial tests, material development, module preparation, first field trial, revision of the first module, second field test, second module revision, finalisation of the module. This study concluded that the validation from a linguist indicates an excellent level of validation. The validation of a material expert indicates a very good level of validation. The level of practicality of this module could have been tested by two users where the results showed very practical for implementation. The recommendation of this research is the need to implement existing material on the teaching module to cultivate entrepreneurial interest in creating new edupreneurs.

Abstract

This study investigates the utilization of learning media to enhance the quality of education at SDN Samadua in South Aceh. In the context of educational reform and the increasing integration of technology in teaching, this research aims to identify effective strategies for incorporating diverse learning media into the curriculum. The study involves qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys and interviews with teachers, students, and parents, to assess the current state of learning media usage in the school. Key findings reveal that incorporating digital tools, visual aids, and hands-on activities significantly improves student engagement and comprehension, fostering a more dynamic learning environment. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the importance of training teachers in the effective use of these media and the value of parental involvement in the educational process. By promoting collaborative learning and leveraging local resources, the school can enhance its educational offerings. The implications of this research underscore the need for ongoing professional development for educators and a supportive infrastructure that facilitates the integration of innovative learning media. The ultimate goal is to create an interactive and effective educational environment that enhances student learning outcomes and contributes to the overall improvement of educational quality at SDN Samadua.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Picture and Picture cooperative learning model and its effects on enhancing learning outcomes in English lessons for eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Mesjid Raya. Cooperative learning has gained recognition as an effective pedagogical approach that encourages collaboration among students, fostering a more engaging and interactive learning environment. The Picture and Picture model, specifically, allows students to visualize and connect concepts through images, promoting deeper understanding and retention of the material being studied. This research employs a literature review methodology, analyzing various studies and theoretical frameworks related to cooperative learning and the Picture and Picture model. The findings indicate that the application of this model not only improves student engagement and motivation but also significantly enhances their academic performance in English. Moreover, recommendations for educators on implementing this model effectively in the classroom are provided, highlighting its potential to transform traditional teaching practices.

Abstract

This paper discusses the crucial role of the Education Office in enhancing the quality of teachers and students in Banda Aceh City. The Education Office is responsible for implementing various strategies aimed at professional development for educators, including training programs, workshops, and certifications that equip teachers with modern pedagogical skills. Additionally, the office focuses on monitoring and evaluating educational practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure that educational standards are met. The provision of adequate infrastructure and learning resources is also emphasized, as these are essential for fostering an effective learning environment. Collaborative efforts with stakeholders, including NGOs, universities, and the private sector, are vital for creating a comprehensive support system for education. The paper further explores the enhancement of curricula to meet current societal needs, the promotion of student scholarships for underprivileged groups, and the empowerment of school committees to engage parents and communities in the educational process. Overall, this study highlights the multifaceted approach undertaken by the Education Office in Banda Aceh City to uplift educational quality and ensure sustainable development in the local education sector.

Abstract

This literature review aims to delve into the leadership management strategies that school principals utilize to enhance the quality of performance among educators and educational personnel at SMP Negeri 3 Lhoknga. In recent years, the role of school leadership has gained increasing recognition for its pivotal influence on educational outcomes. Effective leadership not only shapes the school’s vision and culture but also fosters an environment conducive to professional growth and positive student learning experiences. This review synthesizes a variety of empirical studies and theoretical frameworks, highlighting key leadership styles such as transformational leadership, which inspires and motivates staff through a shared vision, and distributed leadership, which encourages collaboration and responsibility among team members. These leadership approaches have been shown to significantly impact teacher satisfaction, commitment, and ultimately, student achievement. In the context of SMP Negeri 3 Lhoknga, several specific strategies have been identified as effective in enhancing educator performance. These include the implementation of tailored professional development programs that address the unique needs of the teaching staff, fostering a culture of peer collaboration through mentorship and co-teaching initiatives, and establishing robust performance appraisal systems that provide constructive feedback and opportunities for growth. Additionally, this review examines the socio-cultural and institutional challenges that school leaders face in their quest to improve educational quality. These can include resistance to change among staff, limited resources, and external pressures from education policies. By analyzing case studies from both local and international contexts, the review aims to draw conclusions about best practices and transferable strategies that can be adopted not only by SMP Negeri 3 Lhoknga but also by other educational institutions facing similar challenges.

Abstract

This research delves into the enhancement of quality in Early Childhood Education (ECE) institutions, focusing specifically on the integration of skilled educators and the provision of adequate facilities for both teachers and children. Recognizing that the early years of a child's life are critical for cognitive, emotional, and social development, this study emphasizes the urgent need for high-quality educational environments. A comprehensive literature review is conducted to synthesize existing research on the components that constitute quality in ECE, including the qualifications and training of educators, the design and maintenance of educational facilities, and the role of parental and community involvement. The review highlights various models of successful ECE programs worldwide, assessing factors such as curriculum design, teacher-child ratios, classroom management, and resource availability. It also investigates the significance of professional development opportunities for educators, emphasizing how continuous learning and support can greatly improve teaching practices. Furthermore, the research explores the relationship between physical environments—such as safe outdoor play areas, age-appropriate learning materials, and accessibility—and their impact on children's engagement and learning outcomes. Through this analysis, the study identifies best practices and innovative strategies that can be adopted to create more synergistic and supportive educational settings. The implications of this research are directed towards policymakers, educational leaders, and stakeholders as they work toward improving ECE standards and ensuring that young learners receive the quality education they deserve. Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of the quality of teaching provided by teachers on student achievement and character development at SMP Negeri 2 Lhoong. The quality of teaching is a key factor in the education system that can influence academic outcomes as well as the character formation of students. In this context, the quality of teaching encompasses various aspects, such as teaching skills, utilized methods, the interaction between teachers and students, and the assessments applied during the learning process. The methodology employed in this study is a literature review, which involves analyzing various relevant literature and sources. This research examines the educational theories underlying effective teaching practices and investigates previous studies that indicate a positive relationship between teaching quality and student academic performance. Various studies also show that engaging and interactive teaching quality can motivate students to learn better, which directly contributes to their academic achievements. The findings of this study demonstrate that high-quality teaching, characterized by varied instructional methods, the use of technology in the classroom, and constructive feedback from teachers, can significantly enhance student learning outcomes. Furthermore, quality teaching plays an essential role in the character development of students, teaching them values such as discipline, cooperation, and responsibility. This research emphasizes that education should not focus solely on cognitive aspects but also on character development as an integral part of the learning process.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of academic supervision conducted by school principals on teacher performance at SMPN 1 Baitussalam, located in Baitussalam District, Aceh Besar Regency, in the year 2024. Academic supervision plays a pivotal role in the realm of educational management, aiming to enhance the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning. This research utilizes a literature review methodology, examining a range of scholarly articles, educational theories, and empirical studies related to the impact of leadership on instructional practices. The analysis reveals that effective academic supervision is directly linked to improvements in teacher performance. Key components of successful supervision include the provision of constructive feedback, regular performance assessments, and opportunities for professional development. The study highlights that principals who actively engage in the supervisory process foster a collaborative learning environment, which not only motivates teachers but also encourages them to adopt innovative teaching strategies that enhance student learning outcomes. Furthermore, the research addresses contextual factors, such as school culture, the principal’s leadership style, and the availability of resources, which significantly affect the effectiveness of academic supervision at SMPN 1 Baitussalam. The findings suggest that tailored training programs and a supportive institutional framework can significantly bolster teacher performance. This paper concludes with practical recommendations for school leaders, emphasizing the necessity of implementing structured academic supervision practices that prioritize teacher development. Ultimately, this study underscores the essential role of academic supervision in improving educational quality, enhancing teacher effectiveness, and fostering a positive school culture.
