Abstract

The community's need for saline tilapia seeds (Oreochromis niloticus) until now still shows a significant increase, the development of tilapia aquaculture business is growing from the sector of breeding and enlargement. This study aims to determine the level of hatchability of saline tilapia eggs (Oreochromis niloticus) with different containers to provide alternatives to the community in using saline tilapia egg hatching containers This research was conducted at the Laboratory of the Fish Seed and Feed Production Technology Study Program of the Polytechnic of Indonesia Venezuela (POLIVEN) in March-April 2024. The research method used was an experimental design, namely a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments, namely A (using a gallon), B (using a teapot), C (using a chicken drinking funnel), D (using a flower pot) each carried out 5 times with test parameters including egg hatchability, larval abnormality, and water quality parameters. Based on the research that has been done, the highest degree of egg hatching is in treatment C (chicken dringking funnel) with a value of 92% an the lowest is in treatment D (flower pot) with a value 51%. The highest larva abnormality is in treatment B (teapot). The annova test result showed that the application of different containers on egg hatchability had a significant effect on the hatching of saline tilapia eggs (Oreochromis niloticus). Based on the results of Duncan's further test showed that the treatment of chicken drinking funnel with 92% percentage is the best treatment compared to other treatments. Keywords:AbnormalityHatchabilityWater qualityTilapia Fish

Abstract

Online gambling has become a rapidly growing social issue supported by advancements in digital technology, particularly in Indonesia, with its large population of internet users. Despite being legally prohibited, its popularity continues to rise, creating challenges for law enforcement and significant socio-economic impacts. This study aims to analyze the social and economic dynamics of online gambling actors using a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and document analysis, then analyzed using thematic coding techniques. The findings reveal that actors, such as Koh Jimmy, learn deviant behaviors through exclusive online communities that provide operational techniques and moral justification. Economic motivation, social support, and gambling systems designed to induce addiction are key drivers of actor involvement. Although aware of legal risks, actors remain engaged due to community influence and substantial financial gains. This study underscores the relevance of differential association theory in explaining actor involvement in online gambling and provides recommendations for preventive policies through technological oversight, social education, and the strengthening of social norms. The results are expected to serve as a foundation for formulating more effective preventive and intervention measures.

Abstract

The increasing intensity of competition in the culinary business sector of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in snack food products such as JNC Cookies, necessitates the implementation of effective digital promotion strategies to expand market reach and improve sales performance. Changes in consumer behavior that increasingly rely on digital platforms to obtain information, evaluate purchasing decisions, and interact with brands have made adaptation to digital marketing an unavoidable requirement. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and effectiveness of digital promotion strategies through the utilization of digital advertising (paid advertising), endorsements, and social media campaigns in enhancing brand awareness and consumers’ purchase intention toward JNC Cookies. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observation of social media activities, and analysis of the performance of implemented digital marketing campaigns. In addition, several supporting indicators were measured, such as content reach, engagement rate, consumer interactions, and changes in sales volume during the campaign period. The collected data were subsequently analyzed to identify the relationship between digital promotional activities and consumer responses. The expected outcomes of this study include the formulation of an applicable digital promotion strategy model for food-sector MSMEs, recommendations for the development of sustainable social media campaigns, and the mapping of the roles of endorsements and digital advertising in strengthening the brand positioning of JNC Cookies. The findings of this study are expected to provide practical contributions for MSME practitioners in optimizing the use of digital media as an effective, measurable, and consumer-oriented promotional tool.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of company size and profitability on tax avoidance with the audit committee as a moderating variable in the banking sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2021–2023. A quantitative approach is used with descriptive and explanatory research types. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique with certain criteria, such as the availability of financial reports and the existence of an audit committee. Data were obtained from financial and annual report documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and panel data regression. The results of the study indicate that company size has a positive and significant effect on tax avoidance, while profitability has a negative and significant effect. However, the audit committee does not moderate the relationship between company size and profitability on tax avoidance, but rather acts as a moderating predictor. These findings provide important implications for companies to increase the effective role of the audit committee in overseeing financial strategies.
