Abstract

Rural communities tend to be more hesitant to accept and adopt information. This behaviour affects the knowledge they have, especially knowledge related to JKN. This study aims to determine the relationship between information exposure and JKN knowledge in the Sungai Lebung Village community. This quantitative study a cross-sectional design and purposive sampling technique for a total sample size of 108 respondents. The multiple logistic regression of risk factors was the statistical analysis used in this study. The univariate test results showed that 60 respondents (55.6%) had low JKN knowledge. Multivariate analysis showed that exposure to JKN information was associated with JKN knowledge after being controlled by confounding variables such as gender, education, occupation, and health worker support. People exposed to JKN information sourced by BPJSK have a 3.5 times chance of having high knowledge related to JKN. It can be concluded that socialization concerning JKN using information media sourced by BPJSK needs to be improved by considering gender, education, employment and health worker support.

Abstract

In Indonesia, stunting has emerged as a critical national issue that must be addressed as it significantly affects the potential and quality of human resources. One of the initiatives implemented by Puskesmas Multiwahana to combat stunting is the evaluation of the supplementary feeding program, specifically the 'One Egg per Day' initiative for stunted toddlers. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the program using a qualitative approach, employing in-depth interviews with nine informants. The evaluation framework consists of three components: Input (Man, Money, Material, Method), Process (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling), and Output (Program Coverage). Findings indicated that the 'One Egg per Day' program at Puskesmas Multiwahana has been effectively implemented, successfully providing eggs to stunted toddlers. However, several challenges remain, particularly in monitoring consumption and distribution. In conclusion, the program faces limitations in supervision frequency and relies primarily on weight and height measurements for evaluation, highlighting the need for improved monitoring mechanisms to enhance its overall impact.

Abstract

The increase in health status is not only the government’s responsibility but also the self-awareness of each individual. Accelerating health information will affect one’s health status; digital access can significantly affect health status. This research analyzes the correlation between age, gender, family size, marital status, educational level, and digital access to health status in urban-rural residents in Indonesia. This research type is quantitative with a cross-sectional model. This research is using secondary data. The data is collected from the seventh wave of the World Value Survey from 2017 to 2022. The population of this region is 2,912 Indonesian citizens, with 789 urban citizens and 2,123 rural citizens in Indonesia as samples. The results of the analysis show a significant correlation between digital access and public health status among Indonesia’s urban citizens. It is discovered by a statistical result with a p-value <0,05, which is < 0,002 [OR 95% Cl = 2,5]. It is also proven by the results of the analysis of Indonesia’s rural citizens that there is a significant correlation between digital access and health status. It is discovered by a statistical result with a p-value <0.05, which is 0.000 [OR 95% Cl = 2,1]. The population in rural and urban areas utilizing digital access to maintain good health status is predominantly composed of female respondents in their productive age (15–64), with family members ≤4, engaged in employment, married, and having a high level of education.  Keywords: Digital access, health status, rural, urban

Abstract

Abstract

Currently, Indonesia is facing a triple burden problem, namely the incidence of infectious diseases, increasing cases of non-communicable diseases, and the re-emergence of types of diseases that should have been successfully overcome. It is called the Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) so that everyone is aware, willing, and able to behave healthily. It is essential to introduce school-age children as one of the strategic target groups in developing healthy living behavior from an early age. Methods: The method of this community service activity is carried out by providing education about GERMAS using the innovative BAHAGIA fairy tale media, as well as providing a pre-post test questionnaire to measure changes in the level of knowledge in elementary school age children before and after being given education. Results: Participants in this community service activity were 34 class IV students at SDN 03 Kelekar. There was a significant difference in the respondents' knowledge scores before and after education was carried out using innovative BAHAGIA tales media. Conclusion: Community service activities were attended with great enthusiasm and active participation from all students. It is hoped that GERMAS can be implemented in the school environment more optimally. Keywords: GERMAS; BAHAGIA Tales; Knowledge

Abstract

Data from the Ogan Ilir District Health Office shows that the coverage of antenatal care services is still not optimal. Only around 60-70% of pregnant women make complete ANC visits (at least four visits during pregnancy) according to the standards set by WHO. Most pregnant women in the Ogan Ilir District enrolled in NHI fall into the Contribution Assistance Recipient (PBI) category. This suggests that contribution assistance is critical in improving access to health services for low-income pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of JKN contribution assistance on the utilization of Antenatal Care (ANC) services in Ogan Ilir District. The research design was a cross-sectional study using secondary data from the Field Learning Experience by the Faculty of Public Health, Sriwijaya University in 2023. The population was all mothers with children under five, with purposive sampling with 342 respondents in Pemulutan District and Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. Univariate analysis was used to describe each variable, and bivariate analysis using Chi-Square Test. The results showed no effect of the variables (NHI contribution assistance, age of father and mother, education of father and mother, number of family members, number of children under five, history of illness, and family income) on ANC service utilization. This indicates the need for additional interventions to increase ANC service utilization in the area.

Abstract

A review of the socio-demographic characteristics and children fish consumption on stunting incidenceBackground: Social demographics and protein intake are widely known to be related to stunting incidence. Fish, a source of complete and high-quality protein, contains essential amino acids and high digestibility protein so the body can absorb high amounts of protein. Fish contains nutrients that are very important for the growth and development of toddlers. Objective: This research aims to determine the socio-demographic characteristics and consumption of fish and its processed products related to the stunting incidence in children aged 12-59 months. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted from August to September 2022 at three health centers in Palembang City. A total of 120 toddlers aged 12-59 months, with 51.7% male and 48.3% female, were selected by purposive sampling.  The variables of this study were toddler characteristics (age, gender, and nutritional status), family characteristics (mother's education, mother's occupation, number of family members, and family income), family fish consumption (type of fish product, portion size, frequency of fish consumption). The study was conducted by interviews using a questionnaire and anthropometric measurements of toddlers. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence interval and p<0.05 significance level. Results: Lower education of mothers, working mothers, large families, high family incomes, consuming processed fish with less large portions, and often consuming fish had a higher percentage of stunting incidence. On the other hand, it was found that all variables were not significantly correlated to stunting in toddlers. Conclusions: This study showed that socio-demographic variables and fish consumption were not significantly associated with stunting in children under five.

Abstract

Health workers at primary health care are the frontline providers of community health services. This study aimed to investigate the level of job satisfaction of health workers at primary health care in Palembang City, South Sumatra Province, Indonesia, and its influencing factors. Using a questionnaire developed by the authors' team, the study involved 257 samples. A total of 66.15% of respondents indicated high satisfaction, 21.79% reported moderate satisfaction, and 12.06% expressed dissatisfaction. A statistically significant correlation was found between knowledge, skills, income, promotion opportunities, work supervision, and relationships with colleagues and job satisfaction (p-value <0.001). The correlations were strong, with Spearman's rho of 0.822, 0.869, 0.912, 0.895, and 0.821, respectively. Statistical analysis of the Wilcoxon rank-sum and Kruskal-Wallis tests showed no significant differences in median satisfaction scores between sociodemographic groups (p-value 0.072 to 0.552>0.05). These findings showed that job satisfaction depends on multiple factors. Both intrinsic and extrinsic factors play a key role in shaping job satisfaction. Health workforce management should prioritize organizational factors to sustain job satisfaction over sociodemographic factors. Key strategies include regular training, fair salaries, clear promotion paths, strong supervision, and fostering teamwork through leadership training and staff meetings.

Abstract

The sum of social health assurance (Jamsoskes) patients in puskesmas pembina during 2009 was 24.014 people. There was a decrease in per quarter visits. The sum of patients visit in January to April 2009 was 9.295 people, May to August 2009 was 8.162 people, and September to December 2009 was 6.557 people. This can be caused by the low interest of community to utilize Jamsoskes service. Thus, it should be reviewed 105 about the quality of Jamsoskes service according to the patients’ perspective. This research was quantitative survey. The sample was 100 patients of Jamsoskes at puskesmas pembina. Data were collected through interviews using a questionnaire and analyzed by the importance-performance analysis. The average of balance level between service performance and expectation of patients was 83,44%. There were two attributes in the dimensions of service quality that need to be increased: the phycisian attention to the patients complaints about their diseases and convenience and neatness of the treatment room at the general polyclinic. The role of physician as a facilitator of healing to the patient needs to be improved through the attitude of empathy on patient complaints.
