Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the application of a multimedia-based flipped learning model can improve students' vocabulary comprehension and also to measure student activity when they are active in class during English learning activities using research instruments in the form of tests and observation sheets. Classroom Action Research uses 2 cycles, using the Kurt Lewins model and the subject of the study is class X.4 at SMA Negeri 14 Bone. The results of this study were said to be successful by showing an increase in the average value of students from the pre-test to cycle 1, which was 30.3% and an increase from the pre-test to cycle 2, which was 58.1%. Then from the results of the observation, it can be concluded that the application of the multimedia-based flipped classroom learning model can improve the vocabulary comprehension skills of class X.4 students of SMA Negeri 14 Bone.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of flogging laws in reducing khalwat cases at the Lhoksukon Syariah Court. The research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods, using observation methods and conducting interviews. The results of the research show that the implementation of caning is a form of punishment applied by the Lhoksukon Syariah Court to reduce the special nature of Khalwat. The caning punishment applied is in accordance with Qanun number 14 of 2003 concerning khalwat. In the implementation of Islamic law, the issue of khalwat is regulated by Qanun Number 14 of 2003, the formation of this qanun is a form of concern for the Aceh government, especially North Aceh Regency, towards "decency" rules or regulations concerning the act of adultery, the qanun which regulates the offense of khalwat In principle, it is an effort to prevent cases of adultery from developing in the North Aceh Regency area. In Islamic legal terms, preventive measures like this are called sadd al-dzari'ah (closing the road). Namely closing the road so that cases of adultery do not occur.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membawa perubahan besar dalam kehidupan sosial, termasuk dalam relasi rumah tangga. Salah satu fenomena yang muncul adalah kecanduan game online, yang tidak hanya berdampak pada individu tetapi juga mengganggu stabilitas rumah tangga. Artikel ini membahas game online sebagai salah satu faktor yang dapat menyebabkan fasakh dalam keluarga Muslim. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menganalisis secara yuridis dan sosiologis bagaimana kecanduan game online dapat dikategorikan sebagai alasan fasakh dalam hukum keluarga Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan menganalisis literatur klasik dalam hukum Islam serta kajian kontemporer terkait fenomena digital dalam rumah tangga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecanduan game online dapat menyebabkan penelantaran emosional, kerugian finansial, dan hilangnya tanggung jawab suami dalam rumah tangga. Dalam fikih Islam, fasakh diperbolehkan jika terdapat uzur syar’i yang menyebabkan madharat berkelanjutan. Melalui pendekatan maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah dan metode analogi (qiyās), kecanduan digital dapat diposisikan sebagai bentuk baru dari penelantaran yang diakui secara hukum. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa fasakh akibat kecanduan game online dapat dibenarkan secara syar’i dan moral jika terbukti menimbulkan kerusakan dalam kehidupan keluarga. Kajian ini berkontribusi dalam memperluas pemahaman hukum keluarga Islam agar lebih responsif terhadap tantangan modern berbasis digital.

Abstract

Qanun of Banda Aceh City Number 4 of 2022 emphasizes that the Tirta Daroy Regional Public Company of Drinking Water aims to provide fair and sustainable drinking water services. The legal relationship between the customer and the company is regulated through the Decree of the Board of Directors PEG Number. III/10/PDAM/2020. However, there are still many customers who are in default in the form of late payments that cause losses to the company and are contrary to Article 1243 of the Civil Code regarding the obligation of debtors to compensate for losses due to negligence. This study aims to analyze the default settings in the customer connection agreement at  the Tirta Taroy Regional Public Drinking Water Company  , identify the factors causing defaults, and explain the form of applying civil sanctions to customers who commit defaults. This study uses an empirical juridical method with qualitative descriptive analysis based on legal and field data. The results of the study show that the most dominant forms of default in customers of the Tirta Daroy Regional Drinking Water Public Company are late and arrears of payments, not paying at all and misuse of water connections. The main causative factors include economic conditions, administrative negligence, and intentional elements. Legally, this default causes financial losses and disrupts the sustainability of public services. Sanctions are applied in stages through notices, warnings, summonses, to fines, compensation, or disconnection. The Tirta Daroy Regional Public Company is advised to follow up on customer complaints, improve the billing system, adjust the sanction clause proportionately, and increase legal awareness through socialization.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze in depth the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) values and their contribution to building Islamic character in students through the Gebyar Ramadhan (Ramadan Celebration) activities at SMP Negeri 1 Muara Badak. This study also aims to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in the program. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, located at SMP Negeri 1 Muara Badak, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show three main findings. First, the implementation of PAI values is effectively integrated through the habit of collective worship (daily congregational prayers) which fosters discipline and obedience, as well as sharing programs (charity and social service) which instill social awareness and responsibility. Second, the mechanism of contribution of this program is through the acceleration of value internalization by utilizing the spiritual momentum of Ramadan and creating intensive collective practice-based learning (such as the Daily Practice Journal), which transforms moral knowing into moral action. Third, the main supporting factors are the commitment of school leaders and the synergy of teachers across subjects as role models, while significant inhibiting factors include suboptimal family support in monitoring follow-up at home and limited worship facilities. Overall, Gebyar Ramadhan proved to be an effective character laboratory.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of contemporary Southeast Asian Islam in the 21st century through a historical education study of religiously charged conflicts in Southern Thailand rooted in ethnic and religious pluralism and state power relations. This study aims to analyze the Patani conflict as a product of a long history of marginalization and homogenous nationalist policies, and to position it as reflective material in the study of Southeast Asian Islamic history. The method used is qualitative research with library research and a descriptive-analytical approach, through a search of historical literature, state policies, and contemporary studies using reflexive thematic analysis. The results of the discussion indicate that the conflict in Southern Thailand cannot be reduced to a mere issue of radicalism, but is closely related to the loss of sovereignty of the Patani Sultanate, cultural and educational assimilation policies, and the structural marginalization of the Malay Muslim community of Patani. The research findings confirm that Islam functions as a social identity, collective memory, and symbol of resistance to state domination, while education, both as an instrument of the state and a space for cultural resistance, plays a key role in shaping the conflict. The implications of this research demonstrate the importance of a critical, multi-perspective, and empathetic approach to history education to build historical awareness, strengthen multicultural understanding, and promote a narrative of peace in contemporary Southeast Asian Islamic studies.

Abstract

Dalam kehidupan sosial kontemporer, agama tidak hanya dipahami sebagai sistem kepercayaan normatif yang mengatur perilaku eksternal, tetapi juga sebagai pengalaman batin yang membentuk cara individu mengelola kecemasan, rasa bersalah, dan pencarian makna eksistensial. Kajian mutakhir psikologi agama menunjukkan bahwa religiusitas bersifat ambivalen, berfungsi sebagai sumber ketenangan sekaligus ruang ketegangan psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi bagaimana pengalaman keberagamaan beroperasi sebagai mekanisme regulasi kecemasan dan pengendalian moral melalui perspektif psikoanalitik Sigmund Freud yang didialogkan dengan psikologi agama kontemporer. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif interpretatif dengan analisis dokumen terhadap karya utama Freud dan literatur ilmiah terkini mengenai scrupulosity, negative religious coping, dan konflik keberagamaan. Data dianalisis menggunakan thematic analysis refleksif untuk mengidentifikasi pola makna berulang dalam pengalaman religius problematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga tema utama, yaitu agama sebagai regulator kecemasan dan rasa bersalah moral, repetisi ritual yang dipicu pencarian kepastian moral, serta konflik eksistensial antara makna spiritual ideal dan pengalaman psikologis subjektif. Temuan ini menegaskan ambivalensi religiusitas yang dapat memberi struktur dan rasa aman sementara, namun juga berpotensi mempertahankan tekanan psikologis. Teoretis, penelitian ini mereposisi konsep agama sebagai obsessional neurosis dalam pemikiran Freud sebagai kerangka interpretatif non-reduksionis. Secara praktis, studi ini menekankan integrasi literasi kesehatan mental dalam pendidikan dan pendampingan keagamaan.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the constraints that hinder the realization of critical thinking in students’ oral argumentation in higher education contexts. The study employed an interpretive qualitative case study design. The participants were four purposively selected lecturers who teach speaking courses emphasizing argumentative discussion at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bone. They had at least one semester of experience facilitating academic speaking activities and were selected through maximum variation sampling to capture diverse instructional perspectives. Data were collected through classroom observations, audio recordings of academic speaking activities, and interviews with lecturers. Thematic analysis was conducted iteratively to identify recurring linguistic, affective, and pedagogical constraints. The findings indicate that students’ oral argumentation is largely dominated by descriptive claims, with limited use of evidence, warrants, and rebuttals, revealing a gap between students’ critical thinking potential and their oral performance. This gap is affected by related language issues, like having a small vocabulary and not speaking smoothly; emotional factors, such as anxiety and fear of being judged; and teaching conditions, like not having enough training in argumentation and support for academic reading and writing. The study concludes that critical thinking in oral argumentation should be understood as a context-dependent and discursive practice rather than merely an individual cognitive ability. So, the research highlights the importance of teaching methods that combine language skills, emotional support, and clear training in argumentation to help improve critical thinking through speaking in higher education.
