Abstract

This research examines Nursi's conceptualization of God and Nature as a critical response to Atheism and Naturalism. In their view, nature is an independent and self-operating system, so God has no place in the mechanism of nature. This view is inseparable from the secularism, materialism, positivism and scientism they uphold. Answering this problem, Said Nursi, an Islamic scholar, tried to respond to the concept of God and Nature that was not in accordance with Islam, even the view actually degraded nature itself as God's creation. This study employs a qualitative approach and utilizes the critical analysis methodology, with the primary source of reference being Risalah Nur. The findings of the article reveal that Atheism and Naturalism have a false understanding of nature and God. In Nursi's view, nature depends on God and does not work alone. Said Nursi has also developed a theological understanding of nature, arguing that the existence of God can be inferred from the birth of the universe. Nursi revealed that the universe is a great book and a marvellous work of God's art, it is like a mirror that reflects the beauty of its Creator. Nursi said that proving God's existence makes more sense than the arguments that reject His existence.

Abstract

Abstract This research discusses Jabariyah and Qadariyah thoughts in the qaḍā' and qadar discourse. The skewed implications of the concepts of qaḍā' and qadar from the Jabariyah and Qadariyah discourses are a problem in this research. The difference with previous studies is that it places more emphasis on discourses of thought that develop epistemologically. This research method is library research using a descriptive analysis approach. The findings of this research show that Jabariyah thinking in matters of qaḍā' and qadar leads to placing humans bound by the will of Allah. Qadariyah thinking in matters of qaḍā' and qadar leads to placing humans separately from the will of Allah. The synthesis of Jabariyah thought discourse as thesis and Qadariyah thought as the antithesis is Allah determines human destiny from the very beginning, but humans also have a role in making it happen through effort. The recommendation on the findings of this study has implications for subsequent studies, namely not only analyzing the conceptual aspects of a problem, but emphasizing the analysis of applicable ideas to address the problem comprehensively. Keywords: Free Will; God’s Will; Jabariyah; Qadariyah; Qaḍā’ and Qadar

Abstract

This research aims to study Marxism as a philosophical and social movement that emerged in the 19th century in response to the economic and social transformations brought about by the Industrial Revolution, and to analyze its theoretical structure in light of its central concepts such as dialectical materialism, historical materialism, and class struggle. The researcher adopted a comparative analytical approach, through a critical reading of classical Marxist texts and comparing them with Islamic intellectual positions, to reveal the strengths and weaknesses of the Marxist interpretation of man and society. The results showed that Marxism has made an important contribution to the analysis of economic injustice and the critique of capitalism through the concept of the exploitation of the working class and the accumulation of capital. However, it remains limited because it interprets history from a purely materialistic perspective and neglects the spiritual and metaphysical dimensions of human existence. The research also showed that Islamic thought, on the other hand, offers an integrative vision that reconciles the material and the spiritual, restoring social justice to its ethical and spiritual dimension. The scientific importance of this research lies in its contribution to renewing the dialogue between Marxist and Islamic thought and highlighting the need to develop an alternative epistemological model that balances economic analysis and human values, in line with contemporary challenges such as globalization, environmental crises, and digital transformations.

Abstract

This article critically examines the ideology of New Atheism, with particular focus on the writings and influence of Richard Dawkins. New Atheism, which rose to prominence in the West after the events of September 11, 2001, challenges religious belief through aggressive rationalism and popular science. Richard Dawkins, a key figure, is best known for The God Delusion, which has sparked wide global debate. This study explores the impact of New Atheism on Korean society, highlighting its moral and social implications, including the normalization of incest, bestiality, child exploitation, and abortion. Methodologically, this study applies inductive, critical-analytical, historical, and statistical approaches to refute atheistic claims and to promote Islamic theological responses. The research addresses four central questions: the origins and spread of New Atheism, the arguments used by its proponents, the rational proofs for the existence of God, and effective strategies to mitigate its influence. The study concludes that collaborative efforts among scholars, institutions, and society are vital in countering the spread of atheism and guiding youth toward faith and moral clarity.
