Abstract

Rancang bangun alat uji IC Linear yang dibuat sangat membantu para tukang service, terutama dalam menentukan kondisi IC Linear baik atau rusak. Hasil dari pengecekan tersebut, tidak menjamin 100 % kondisi IC yang di ukur. Oleh karena itu muncul beberapa masalah yang berhubungan dengan jasa pelayanan tukang service di bidang elektronika dan alternatif pemecahan masalahnya adalah pelayanan jasa ini membutuhkan kecepatan dan penyelesaian pekerjaan tepat waktu. Untuk itu perlu ditunjang dengan peralatan yang lengkap, harganya murah, tepat guna dan terjangkau. .Dengan adanya alat uji ini, maka waktu reparasi menjadi lebih singkat dan juga biaya reparasi menjadi lebih rendah dan meningkatkan daya saingnya.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan telekomunikasi (ICT) perancangan, implementasi, pengembangan, dukungan atau manajemen sistem informasi berbasis komputer terus pada aplikasi perangkat keras atau hardware dan perangkat lunak atau software, sebagai media promosi dan komunikasi di Indonesia sangat dibutuhkan. Pelaksanaan kegiataan ini, merupakan kelanjutan dari program departemen teknik elektro untuk pengabdin berbasis KBK. Pada kegiatan ini, diaksanakan pelatihan penggunaan media informasi berbasis android yaitu berupa running text yang digunakan untuk mengupdate informasi kondisi mushalla di Almahira. Pengunaan teknologi informasi dan telekomunikasi (ICT) terutama teknologi berbasis android dengan menggunakan internet merupakan cara yang inovatif dalam melaksanakan berbagai macam kreatifitas yang dapat dilakukan di berbagai sektor. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi berbasis android, maka dapat dilakukan berbagai kegiatan secara elektronik seperti running text, media forum, email, mailing list dan berbagai aktifitas lainnya. Mushalla Al Mahira adalah tempat shalat berjamah yang dilakukan oleh sebagian kecil masyarakat yang terletak di RT 01 / RW 07 Aie Pacca Padang, merupakan salah satu tempat ibadah umat muslim yang masih belum menggunakan teknologi berbasis android, sehingga proses mengupdate informasi belum dapat dilakukan dengan teknologi. Agar Jamah Mushalla Al Mahira dapat juga merasakan perkembangan teknologi, maka tim pengabdian dari KBK telekomunikasi Jurusan Teknik Elektro Unand, memberikan pelatihan penggunaan teknologi berbasis android, berbentuk running text sebagai media update informasi kegiatan di Mushalla Al Mahira Aie Pacca. Running Text ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan jamah membaca perubahan setiap informasi, jika sewaktu waktu informasi ada yang terbaru.

Abstract

A classic problem that hinders farmers from spraying herbicide liquids because they still use a herbicide liquid sprayer system in amanual way. This research aims to produce electric herbicide sprayers that are efficient and effective for the community, as well as to engenalize and utilize renewable energy as energy that is easy to obtain and environmentally friendly, especially in agriculture. The sources produced by the 20Wp solar panels are in the form of Voltage, Current, Power and Electrical Energy. Solar panel measurements are taken for 7 days, starting from 08.00 WIB to 15.00 WIB. The results obtained for the largest average values of Voltage, Amperes, and Power were on day 7 where the Voltage was 13.72V, Current was 0.43A, and Power was 5.88W. S. Sexplained for the average value of the largest Electrical Energy was on day 2 and day 5 of 0.60Wh. The effect in taking solar panel data in this study was Light Intensity, with the largest average n ilai being on the 7th day, which was 905.8 W/m2. The manufacture of electric herbicide sprayers based on 20 Wp solar panels has been carried out with very effective results and functions in accordance with the purpose of making tools, namely introducing renewable energy as alternative energy that is easily available, especially in agriculture

Abstract

The correlation between lightning and several weather parameters (rainfall, humidity, air temperature, and wind) in Padang from 2016 to 2020 was statistically analyzed. Lightning data and weather parameters were obtained from two electric field mills (EFMs) and the meteorology, climatology, and geophysics agency (BMKG), Indonesia. The study results show that the highest lightning occurred in November during the wet season. The correlation coefficient between lightning and rainfall during the wet and dry seasons was 0.52 and 0.26, respectively. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient of lightning with humidity, air temperature, and wind during the wet and dry seasons was 0.25, 0.06, 0.15, and -0.45, 0.25, -0.02, respectively. These results indicate a strong relationship between lightning and rainfall during the wet season; rainfall is the only primary variable in lightning frequency.

Abstract

Pemerintah berkomitmen mendukung dan memfasilitasi UMKM untuk “naik level” dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Namun, hasil yang dicapai masih belum optimal. Kepulauan Mentawai adalah satu-satunya daerah 3T di Sumatera Barat. Padahal UMKM Mentawai cukup potensial untuk dikembangkan mengingat ketersediaan sumber daya alam yang melimpah di sana. Maka, sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab Insan Perguruan Tinggi dalam melayani masyarakat, dibuatlah program aplikasi marketplace untuk wilayah Mentawai. Aplikasi ini dapat mendukung UMKM sehingga menghasilkan perekonomian yang lebih baik. Marketplace yang dikembangkan membantu UMKM dari dua sisi: (1) distribusi produk Mentawai ke luar daerah khususnya kota Padang; dan (2) mempromosikan produk UMKM melalui media promosi Bulagat. Untuk mensukseskan tujuan tersebut tentunya diperlukan pendekatan yang intensif dengan masyarakat Kepulauan Mentawai. Oleh karena itu diadakan kegiatan sosialisasi untuk membentuk pola pikir digital dan memperkenalkan aplikasi Bulagat serta pendampingan kepada masyarakat dalam menggunakan aplikasi Bulagat agar masyarakat Kepulauan Mentawai dapat menjalankannya dengan lancar. The government is committed to support and facilitate MSME’s to "level up" by utilizing digital technology. However, the results achieved are still not optimal. The Mentawai Islands are the only 3T area in West Sumatra. Even though the Mentawai MSME’s have quite the potential to be developed given the availability of abundant natural resources there. So, as a form of responsibility of Higher Education personnel to community, a marketplace application program was created for the Mentawai region. This application can support MSME’s so as to produce a better economy. The developed Marketplace helps MSME’s from two sides: (1) distribution of Mentawai products outside the region, especially the city of Padang; and (2) promoting MSME’s products through Bulagat promotional media. In order to achieve the success of this goal, of course, an intensive approach is needed with the people of the Mentawai Islands. Therefore, socialization activities were held to form a digital mindset and introduce the Bulagat application and assistance to the community in using the Bulagat application so that the people of the Mentawai Islands could run it fluently.

Abstract

Street lighting is needed to ensure road users' smooth running and safety. Lack of light will create a high risk of accidents and crime on the road. Many areas in Indonesia in general and West Sumatra in particular, mainly rural areas, still need street lighting due to the need for regional capacity to provide lighting on public roads. This activity implemented street lighting in Nagari Lagan Mudik Punggasan, Linggo Sari Baganti District, Pesisir Selatan District, West Sumatra Province. A total of five light units have been installed in four different locations. Installation of lights using a pole made of wood as high as 4 meters on the 20 KV distribution electricity post and the welcome board of the village. The lights work automatically and can be active when dark and off when bright. The lamp's working principle utilises solar panels, which produce electricity during the day. The source of electrical energy used by the light comes from a battery that a solar panel has charged. This system is expected to overcome the village's lack of street lighting and use clean, environmentally friendly energy sources.

Abstract

Applying science and technology encourages innovation, increasing development productivity, independence and national competitiveness. Indonesia has a science and technology area named Science Techno Park (STP). Maturity measurement is an indicator of the level of an STP to apply science and technology for the welfare of society. There are three levels of maturity for STP, which are low (pratama), middle (madya), and high (utama). Before entering the best maturity level, STP must go through various kinds of preparation and fulfil the elements contained in it. The community service activity team at Universitas Andalas conducted a web seminar (webinar) to socialise the maturity assessment for STP Unand from the academic side. The webinar invited two experts on STP maturity measurement. One of the primary assessments is the number of products produced that are expected to come from the results of academic research. This activity can help STP Unand prepare to increase its maturity to a high level.

Abstract

This paper discusses the assistance of implementing long-distance video learning technology in entrepreneurship and its utilization as an educational tool for teenagers at SMAN 3 Batusangkar, West Sumatra. Entrepreneurship education is becoming increasingly crucial in globalization and information technology development. However, access to relevant and high-quality learning materials is often limited in remote areas. This activity aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using long-distance video learning technology as a supportive tool in entrepreneurship education in a high school setting. The activity started with data collection through interviews and observations of students and teachers involved in the learning process. The results indicated that long-distance video learning technology positively impacts students' understanding of entrepreneurship concepts. Students responded positively to the more interactive and engaging learning approach provided by video learning. In addition, teachers reported increased student motivation and participation in entrepreneurship education. In the context of SMAN 3 Batusangkar, long-distance video learning technology provides an opportunity to overcome resource limitations and access high-quality learning materials. The study also notes some challenges, such as varying internet connection quality and the need for further teacher training to integrate this technology into the curriculum. This community service highlights the importance of using technology as an innovative and effective learning tool to teach entrepreneurship concepts to the younger generation.

Abstract

Soil temperature and humidity are important factors in affecting the condition of agricultural sector, which has an impact on the quality and quantity of the production. Lack of information on the condition of agricultural soil is one of the causes in productivity deficiency in the process of agricultural cultivation. The application of technology in the field of agriculture is expected to be able to reduce various adverse effects of agricultural soil conditions. One of which is by periodic monitoring, such as the temperature and humidity of agricultural soil. This research aims to design LoRa technology to be used as a data transmission medium for monitoring soil temperature and humidity by applying a system that is based on the Blynk application, which will make the users easier to monitor the system remotely. The temperature sensor was able to acquire data with 98.37% accuracy and the soil humidity sensor was able to acquire data with 91.63% accuracy. The changes in LoRa transmission parameters for monitoring data have an effect on the quality of its performance. The experimental results with Bandwidth variation (BW) from 31.25 kHz, 62.50 kHz, 125 kHz, 250 kHz, and 500 kHz at a distance of 15m, the best SNR and RSSI values were obtained for BW 31.25 kHz with values of 5.42 dB and -104.90 dBm. Whereas, the best ToA is obtained with a BW of 500 kHz with a value of 27.50 ms. While, the experimental result with the variation of Coding Rate (CR) from CR 4/5, 4/6, 4/7, and 4/8 at a distance of 15m, the best SNR and RSSI values were obtained CR 4/8 with values of 4.10 dB and -106.40 dBm and he best ToA was obtained CR 4/5 with a value of 112.70 ms. In testing by using variation Spreading Factor (SF) from SF7, SF9, and SF12, the higher the SF value used, the wider the range of area data communication will be. Configuration SF7 and SF9 were only able to reach a distance of 25m, while SF12 was able to reach a distance of 35m.
