Abstract

This research was conducted based on the results of initial observations carried out by researchers to determine the level of students' knowledge regarding Mandarin language units, especially material regarding 动量词 (dòngliàngcí) or verb units. Based on the results of initial observations, researchers found that the majority of Chinese Language Education Program students class of 2022 still do not understand 动量词 (dòngliàngcí). This is proven by the questions that researchers have distributed to students of the class of 2022 of the Chinese Language Education Program. This question contains Mandarin language units. From this question, the results showed that as many as 60% of students from the class of 2022 answered incorrectly to the question regarding 动量词 (dòngliàngcí). Apart from that, researchers also found that the learning media used in the classroom were limited to textbooks and PowerPoint presentations, so it could be said that the teaching media used to learn Mandarin words was still very lacking. Based on these problems, researchers conducted research on the development of learning media for Figure books with the unit word 动量词 (dòngliàngcí). The objectives of the research are 1) Describe the results of the analysis of needs for developing learning media for Figure books with the unit word 动量词 (dòngliàngcí) for Chinese Language Education Program students, 2) Describe the results of the prototype learning media for Figure book learning media with the unit word 动量词 (dòngliàngcí) for study program students UNNES Mandarin language education, and 3) Describe the results of expert validation of the learning media for Figure books with the unit word 动量词 (dòngliàngcí) for Chinese Language Education Program students. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with five stages, namely 1) Potential and problems, (2) Data collection, (3) Product design, (4) Design validation, and (5) Design revision. Based on the results of the analysis of interviews with UNNES Mandarin language education lecturers and the results of the questionnaire analysis of the needs of Chinese Language Education Program students class of 2022, they agree with the existence of Figure book learning media with the unit word 动量词 (dòngliàngcí). The validation results by material experts obtained an average score of 87.5 with the number 4 (range of scores 86-100) and fell into the very appropriate or very appropriate category. The validation results from media experts obtained an average score of 87.25 with the number 4 (range of scores 86-100) and fell into the very appropriate or very appropriate category.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve children’s social interactions through the application of the group work method in Group B of Gunung Bale State Kindergarten, Donggala. Conducted in July 2025, the research involved 15 children—7 boys and 8 girls—and employed a classroom action research design consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research process was divided into three phases: pre-action, Cycle I, and Cycle II, to observe the extent of change in children’s social interaction skills. The observed aspects included helping each other, cooperation, understanding conversations, and communication. The results revealed a significant improvement from the pre-action stage to Cycle II. The percentage of children categorized as “Very Well Developed” increased from 23.33% in Cycle I to 45.00% in Cycle II, while those in the “Not Yet Developed” category decreased from 35.00% to 3.33%. These findings demonstrate that the group work method effectively enhances children’s social interaction skills and serves as an alternative learning strategy in early childhood education.

Abstract

The banking sector drives Indonesia's economic stability, but profitability depends on internal management and external conditions, especially monetary policy shifts. During 2019–2023, Indonesia's BI Rate fluctuated dramatically. This study examines profitability drivers in publicly listed Indonesian banks under these changing conditions. Using Return on Assets (ROA) as the performance measure, it analyzes how Net Interest Margin (NIM), Operational Expense Ratio (BOPO), Non-Performing Loans (NPL), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Loan to Asset Ratio (LAR) affect profitability. Panel data from seven banks were analyzed using multiple linear regression models, with one incorporating the BI Rate as a moderating variable. Results show NIM and LDR significantly boost ROA, while BOPO significantly reduces it, emphasizing the importance of interest income efficiency and cost control. NPL and LAR show no significant effect, indicating effective risk and asset management. The BI Rate's moderating effect on the NIM–ROA relationship is statistically insignificant, suggesting monetary policy changes don't substantially alter this relationship. These findings guide banks in optimizing income and costs while showing policymakers the limited role of monetary policy in moderating bank-level performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the profitability of Rural Banks (BPR) in the Malang Raya region and to examine the moderating role of gender diversity on the board of directors in the relationship between credit risk and profitability. This research employs a quantitative, causal approach using secondary data from the financial reports of 21 rural banks from 2019 to 2023, resulting in 125 observations. The dependent variable is profitability, measured by Return on Assets (ROA), while the independent variables include Credit Risk (Non-Performing Loan/NPL), Operational Efficiency (BOPO), Liquidity (Cash Ratio/CR), Loan to Asset Ratio (LAR), and Bank Size. The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS Version 27. The results indicate that NPL, BOPO, and Bank Size have a significant negative effect on ROA. Conversely, CR and LAR show a significant positive effect on ROA. The F-test confirms that the independent variables collectively have a significant impact on profitability, with the model explaining 92.4% of the variance in ROA. However, the study finds that gender diversity on the board of directors does not significantly moderate the negative relationship between NPL and ROA. These findings provide practical insights for rural bank management and policymakers, emphasizing the critical importance of credit risk management, operational efficiency, and strategic asset allocation for enhancing financial performance.
