Abstract

Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Riau melaporkan ribuan rumah di Kabupaten Kampar, termasuk 80 rumah di Desa Kampung Panjang, terendam banjir akibat meluapnya Sungai Kampar setelah pembukaan pintu waduk PLTA Koto Panjang. Menyikapi situasi ini, tim pengabdi sepakat untuk melaksanakan program kemanusiaan berjudul “Program Kemanusiaan Terhadap Kesiapsiagaan Pra dan Pasca Bencana.” Tujuan program ini adalah meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat dalam menghadapi bencana alam. Pelaksanaan pengabdian berlangsung dari 23 Desember 2024 hingga 18 Januari 2025, meliputi gotong royong di empat dusun, penyuluhan tentang DBD, pembagian bubuk Abate, dan penghibahan tempat sampah berlabel organik dan non-organik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pola hidup bersih dan sehat, serta meminimalkan dampak penyakit akibat bencana. Program ini diharapkan memberikan manfaat jangka panjang bagi masyarakat Desa Kampung Panjang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis strategi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) melalui program pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan. Kompetensi guru PAI sangat penting dalam membentuk karakter dan nilai-nilai religius peserta didik. Namun, masih terdapat tantangan dalam implementasi program yang tepat guna meningkatkan kompetensi tersebut, terutama di era perubahan yang cepat dan kebutuhan pendidikan abad ke-21. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus di beberapa sekolah menengah yang telah menerapkan program pengembangan profesional. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengembangan kompetensi yang efektif mencakup beberapa aspek utama, yaitu: pelatihan berbasis teknologi, kolaborasi antar-guru, pembinaan melalui supervisi akademik, dan pemberian umpan balik yang konstruktif. Selain itu, keterlibatan kepala sekolah dan pengawas pendidikan sangat berperan dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pembelajaran berkelanjutan bagi guru PAI. Program pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan yang terencana dan terstruktur mampu meningkatkan pemahaman guru PAI terhadap metode pembelajaran inovatif dan kemampuan dalam menghadapi tantangan di kelas. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penerapan strategi yang sistematis dan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAI dalam rangka mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Emotion regulation is an important skill that every learner must have. The inability to manage good emotions will potentially interfere with the learning process and learners' well-being. The purpose of this literature review is to identify the effectiveness of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) in improving learners' emotion regulation. The method used in this research is literature review with research data sourced from Google Scholar and Springer publication databases. The results of the review show that REBT therapy can significantly improve learners' ability to manage their emotions. This research confirms that REBT can be an effective therapy in helping learners cope with negative emotions in an educational context.

Abstract

Service satisfaction is defined as an effort to fulfill something or make something adequate which is generally described as a feeling of pleasure or disappointment that arises towards performance (results) after being compared with expected performance. Measuring the level of student satisfaction towards services in schools is an important element in the school's efforts to provide the best, efficient and effective services for students. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Guidance and Counseling (BK) program in schools. This survey involved a number of BK teachers and students from several schools in certain areas. The research method used was qualitative with an open questionnaire instrument, namely a structured interview to measure various aspects of the BK program, including service quality, student involvement, and the impact on students' academic and emotional development. The survey results showed that most students and BK teachers felt that the BK program in schools had been running quite well, but there were still some areas that needed improvement, such as the availability of resources and further training for counselors. In addition, there was a positive correlation between the frequency of student involvement in BK sessions with an increase in their academic achievement and emotional well-being. This study provides recommendations for improving the BK program in schools, including increasing training for counselors and strengthening support from the school.

Abstract

Motivation to learn is one of the key factors that influences success in the educational process. The basic concept of learning motivation includes internal and external drives that motivate individuals to achieve educational goals and improve personal abilities. Various motivation theories, such as Maslow's needs theory, Bandura's social learning theory, and Skinner's reinforcement theory, provide an understanding of how motivation works in the context of learning. Learning motivation can be divided into two main types, namely intrinsic motivation which comes from within the individual, and extrinsic motivation which is influenced by external factors such as prizes and praise. Understanding the basic concept of learning motivation is very important for educators and students to create a more effective and productive learning environment.

Abstract

Education plays an important role as the spearhead in determining the future of the nation, without education there will be no successor to the noble ideals to achieve the welfare and progress of the nation. Through quality education, society has a role in making changes and national development. Quality education can be achieved through Elementary School, Middle School, High School and Up to College. Education is useful for keeping up with the development of knowledge and technology. Students’ interest in continuing their studies to college is an important factor in determining the success of higher education. Factors that influence this interest include career information services and parental support. Effective career information services can provide insight and motivation for students in choosing an educational path that suits their interests and talents. Parental support, both emotionally and materially, also plays an important role in shaping students’ decisions to continue their studies to college.

Abstract

Right thinking requires means or tools of thinking. This means is certain, so scientific activity will not be maximized without the means of scientific thinking. Mastery of scientific tools is very important for scientists in order to carry out scientific activities properly. The type of writing in this article is literature revieu or literature, the data is described descriptively, so that it shows a scientific study that can be further developed. The results of this study are that the stages of scientific activity require tools in the form of scientific thinking tools. The means of scientific thinking serves only as a tool for humans to think scientifically in order to gain knowledge. Language is a means of communicating systematic ways of thinking in acquiring knowledge. Without language skills, a person will not be able to carry out scientific activities systematically and correctly. Logic as a means of scientific thinking directs humans to think correctly in accordance with the rules of correct thinking. Logic helps humans to think systematically which can be accounted for. If you want to do thinking activities correctly, you must use logical thinking rules. Logic can distinguish between correct thinking processes and incorrect thinking processes. Mathematics is a means of deductive thinking, so people can use statistics for inductive thinking. Deductive thinking and inductive thinking are needed to support correct scientific activities so that they will produce correct knowledge as well. Statistics should not be underestimated by people who want to be able to carry out scientific activities properly. Mastery of statistics is necessary for people who will draw valid conclusions. Statistics must be seen as equal to mathematics.

Abstract

Abstrak The Independent Curriculum, as one of the government's efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, is expected to produce a generation that is innovative and adaptable to the changing times. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in shaping an innovative generation in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach, this research involves teachers, students, and school principals as informants. The findings indicate that the Independent Curriculum holds significant potential in shaping an innovative generation. The curriculum's flexibility allows teachers to tailor learning materials to students' interests and talents, while also promoting active and student-centered learning. Furthermore, the project-based learning characteristic of the Independent Curriculum provides opportunities for students to develop creativity and problem-solving skills. However, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum faces several challenges, including insufficient teacher preparedness, limited facilities and infrastructure, and a lack of coordination among stakeholders. Therefore, more intensive efforts are needed to address these challenges to ensure the Independent Curriculum can be implemented effectively and optimally.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran strategis dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal, termasuk di Kota Palu. Namun, tantangan dalam pengelolaan komunikasi dan keterampilan negosiasi kerap menjadi hambatan dalam mencapai kesuksesan bisnis yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi dan negosiasi yang diterapkan oleh pelaku UMKM di Kota Palu serta mengevaluasi efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kinerja usaha. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan teknik wawancara mendalam, studi ini menemukan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal yang terbuka, pemahaman konteks budaya lokal, serta pendekatan win-win dalam negosiasi menjadi faktor kunci dalam membangun relasi bisnis yang kuat dan meningkatkan kepercayaan mitra usaha. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kapasitas komunikasi dan negosiasi berdampak signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan usaha, loyalitas pelanggan, dan keberhasilan kerja sama bisnis. Oleh karena itu, penguatan strategi komunikasi dan pelatihan negosiasi menjadi kebutuhan mendesak bagi pengembangan UMKM di Kota Palu.

Abstract

The achievement of the level of welfare of a region or country can be seen from the level of human development as measured by the Human Development Index (HDI). West Sumatra is one of the provinces with HDI achievements above the national average. However, there are still regencies/cities in West Sumatra Province that have HDI achievements below the national average and HDI achievements in West Sumatra Province Regencies/Cities have changed in 2017-2021. Therefore, in this study, spatial analysis of panel data was used. The aim of this research is to find out the general description of the HDI of West Sumatra Province, obtain a panel data spatial regression model and obtain variables that significantly influence on HDI in West Sumatra Province 2017─2021because differences in HDI achievement were suspected to have influences from areas that were side by side and the area was observed more than once. The model formed from this analysis using the rook contigutiy weighting function is Random Effect Spatial Autoregressive because the spatial interactions formed in human development index data in West Sumatra Province are real at lag. This model is a suitable model based on panel spatial model selection and has an R2 value of 92.94%. Analysis of human development index data in regencies/cities in West Sumatra Province using spatial regression panel data obtained results that expectations of school length (X1), average length of schooling (X2), and population density (X3) significantly directly influenced the human development index in regencies/cities in West Sumatra Province.
