Abstract

Abstract Road deterioration which occurs faster than the road design life often occurs lately. The objective of this study is to assess the vehicle damage factor caused by excessive load and the effect of excessive load on the pavement design life. This research was conducted with Weigh in Motion and traffic volume surveys. The study was conducted on the station of KM 226 + 075, in the Bireuen - Bts Kota Lhokseumawe road section. Data analysis was performed using the Pedoman Perencanaan Tebal Lapis Tambah Perkerasan Lentur dengan Metode Lendutan. The results showed that the value of Vehicle Damage Factor for excess load condition is 696 % greater the one of normal load conditions. Based on the Cumulative Equivalent Standard Axle analysis, it is known that the road service life is reduced by 4.3 years compared to the design life, which is 10 years. Keywords: excessive load, Weigh in Motion, Vehicle Damage Factor, design life  Abstrak Kerusakan jalan yang terjadi lebih cepat daripada umur desain sering terjadi akhir-akhir ini. Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini mencoba memanfaatkan limbah styrofoam untuk meningkatkan kualitas aspal sebagai bahan pengikat beton aspal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik campuran aspal porus dengan subtitusi styrofoam ke dalam aspal penetrasi 60/70. Pembuatan benda uji untuk penentuan kadar aspal optimum (KAO) berdasarkan metode Australia dengan beberapa parameter yaitu; nilai Cantabro Loss (CL), Asphalt Flow Down (AFD) dan voids in mix (VIM). Gradasi agregat yang digunakan adalah gradasi terbuka dengan kadar aspal 4,5%; 5,0%; 5,5%; 6,0% dan 6,5% sebelum disubtitusi styrofoam. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian dan perhitungan parameter Marshall, CL dan AFD untuk mendapatkan KAO. Setelah KAO diperoleh, dibuat benda uji pada KAO dan variasi ± 0,5 dari nilai KAO dengan variasi subtitusi styrofoam 5%, 7% dan 9%. Uji permeabilitas dan durabilitas pada kadar aspal terbaik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh KAO sebesar 5,76% dan kadar aspal terbaik pada 6,26% dengan substitusi styrofoam 9%, dimana semua parameter nya telah memenuhi spesifikasi yang ditentukan kecuali nilai stabilitas yang hanya 495,92 kg atau sedikit dibawah spesifikasi yang disyaratkan Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (1997) untuk lalu lintas sedang yaitu minimum 500 kg. Abstract. This research is trying to use styrofoam as a waste material to improve the quality of bitumen as binder agent in asphalt concrete. The objecteve of this research is to determine the characteristics of porous asphalt mixture by substituting styrofoam on asphalt penetration 60/70. The specimens preparation of Optimum Asphalt Content (OAC) based on the Australian Method by some parameters namely; the value of Cantabro Loss (CL), Asphalt Flow Down (AFD) and Voids in Mix (VIM). Open graded aggregate was used and variated in bitumen content of 4.5%; 5.0%; 5.5%; 6.0% and 6.5% excluding styrofoam. After that Marshall test and calculation of CL and AFD were conducted to obtain OAC. Subsequently, the OAC obtained was used to prepare some specimens of the OAC with  ariations ± 0.5 from the OAC and substitution of styrofoam variations were 5%, 7% and 9%. Permeability and durability test then required specimens at the best asphalt content. Based on this research, the OAC was at 5.76% and the content of the best asphalt performance was 6.26% with styrofoam substitution content of 9%. Besides, almost all parameter values met the specification of Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (1997), only stability value was 495.92 kg, less then the specification of minimum 500 kg required for a medium traffic.

Abstract

Due to improper public transport services in Banda Aceh City, most students tend to use motorcycle for daily activity, in particular to school. Those who use public transport are rarely found. As a result, it will contribute to traffic congestion. This study aimed to investigate mode choice model of students to school. The location takes place at Kecamatan Meuraxa, Banda Aceh City, limited to high school students that use motorcycle and public transport to school. Primary data was done by conducting home interview survey. The method used were binomial logit difference and ratio take into account  travel time, cost and waiting time as the independent variables.  The results showed 67% students used motorcycle to school, and those who have SIM C was about 59%. Both models showed, when the cost of both modes are equal, about 50-60% of students used motorcycle to school.

Abstract

Abstract Durability of asphalt concrete wearing course mixtures affects road pavement construction performance, because it functions as a road surface cover. The high value of stability and durability indicates that the surface layer of the road is strong and resistant to the influence of weather and water. This study was conducted to determine the durability of asphalt concrete mixtures using mountain coral for wearing course asphalt concrete mixtures, using Retona Blend 55 asphalt and Asphalt Pen 60/70 as binders. The results indicate that the physical properties of aggregates are not significantly different when compared with the Bina Marga specification standards. The mixture combination that gives the best value for Marshall Stability, which is 1,373.93 kg, is a combination of 50% Asphalt Pen 60/70 and 50% Retona Blend 55. While the best durability value, which is 90.60%, is obtained by the mixture with Asphalt Pen 60/70 without Retona. Keywords: asphalt concrete, mountain coral, aspal, stability, durability  Abstrak Durabilitas campuran beton aspal lapis aus mempengaruhi kinerja kontruksi perkerasan jalan, karena berfungsi sebagai lapisan penutup permukaan jalan. Nilai stabilitas dan durabilitas yang tinggi memberikan indikasi bahwa lapis permukaan jalan tersebut kuat dan tahan terhadap pengaruh cuaca dan air. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui ketahanan campuran beton aspal yang menggunakan batu karang gunung untuk campuran beton aspal lapis aus, dengan menggunakan bahan pengikat aspal Retona Blend 55 dan Aspal Pen 60/70. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sifat-sifat fisis agregat tidak berbeda secara signifikan dengan bila dibandingkan dengan standar spesifikasi Bina Marga. Kombinasi campuran yang memberi nilai terbaik untuk Stabilitas Marshall, yaitu 1.373,93 kg, adalah kombinasi 50% Aspal Pen 60/70 dan 50% Retona Blend 55. Sementara nilai durabilitas terbaik, yaitu 90,60%, diperoleh untuk campuran dengan Aspal Pen 60/70 tanpa Retona. Kata-kata kunci: beton aspal, batu karang gunung, aspal, stabilitas, durabilitas

Abstract

Trans Koetaradja bus is managed by the government of Aceh Province to improve the urban public transport system. In order to appeal people to use this bus, the local government provides subsidy and applies the free fare, until today. It is expected that, when the subsidy is revoked in a few years ahead, people will get accustomed to use this bus. This research was conducted to observe public perceptions on the desired fare through ability to pay (ATP) and willingness to pay (WTP) analysis. Primary data was collected by doing survey over distributing questionnaires to the citizen. The bus corridors observed were on corridors I, III, and IV. The results showed that, the ATP-WTP of students were above the operator’s proposed tariff for all corridors. However, to attract those students to use the bus, it is recommended that the operator's proposed tariff (IDR 2,000 for each corridor) should be applied. For the general public category (PNS/TNI/Polri, Private Employees, Housewives, and other communities), the proposed tariff for each corridors were in between the average value of ATP-WTP. In that sense, tariff determination can be applied based on the average WTP value. However, the operator's proposed tariff for the public is still also feasible, subject to improving the level of services.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengajaran bahasa diera seperti ini telah memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi. Namun. pemanfaatan teknologi untuk pendidikan hanya dilakukan oleh beberapa pembelajar saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatkan hasil belajar dalam kemampuan menulis huruf kanji sesuai dengan urutan penulisan huruf yang tepat, dan (2) mengetahui respon pembelajar terhadap penggunaan kamus digital Akebi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis huruf kanji sesuai dengan urutan penulisan huruf yang tepat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 28 pembelajar kelas XI Lintas Minat II SMA Negeri 4 Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa tes dan angket. Kamus digital Akebi sebagai panduan untuk menulis huruf kanji dasar menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada hasil belajar dari pretest ke postest dengan rata-rata nilai posttest adalah 74,8. Tanggapan yang diberikan oleh pembelajar terkait penggunaan kamus digital Akebi sebagai panduan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kanji berada pada kriteria tinggi. The implementation of language teaching in this era has taken advantage of technological advances. However. the use of technology for education is only done by a few students. This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes in the ability to write kanji in accordance with the proper letter writing sequence, and (2) determine the learner's response to the use of the Akebi digital dictionary in improving the ability to write kanji letters according to the proper letter writing sequence. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The sample used in this study was 28 students of Class XI Cross-Interest II of SMA Negeri 4 Malang. Data collection techniques in this study in the form of tests and questionnaires. Akebi's digital dictionary as a guide for writing basic kanji shows an increase in learning outcomes from pretest to posttest with an average posttest score of 74.8. The response given by the learners regarding the use of the Akebi digital dictionary as a guide to improve the ability to write kanji is at high criteria. Abstract

Abstrak Kecelakaan sepeda motor merupakan salah satu penyebab kecelakaan yang tertinggi di Indonesia. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah kurangnya pemahaman mengenai keselamatan berkendara oleh pengguna sepeda motor, sehingga menyebabkan terjadinya pelanggaran lalu lintas yang berakibat pada kecelakaan lalu lintas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi pengendara sepeda motor terhadap keselamatan berkendara ditinjau dari pelanggaran lalu lintas dan kelengkapan atribut keselamatan lalu lintas. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) dengan jumlah data yang digunakan sebanyak 200 sampel. Penyebaran kuesioner dilakukan kepada pengendara sepeda motor, sebagai responden, yang berada di Kota Banda Aceh. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa faktor keselamatan berkendara sangat signifikan dipengaruhi oleh faktor penentu pelanggaran lalu lintas dan kelengkapan atribut keselamatan. Hal ini berarti jika responden taat dalam mengikuti peraturan lalu lintas, akan berpengaruh terhadap faktor keselamatan berkendara, seperti selalu hati-hati dan fokus dalam berkendara, memperhatikan kaca spion, dan peduli dengan pengguna jalan lain. Walaupun pemahaman dan kesadaran pengendara sepeda motor cukup baik, tetap direkomendasikan agar pengendara sepeda motor perlu lebih berhati-hati dalam berkendara supaya menghindari terjadinya kecelakaan lalu lintas. Kata-kata Kunci: Kecelakaan lalu lintas, persepsi pengendara sepeda motor, confirmatory factor analysis, keselamatan berkendara. Abstract Motorcycle crashes are one of the most prevalent forms of accidents in Indonesia. One of the causes is motorcycle riders' lack of understanding on safety riding, which frequently results in traffic violations and traffic accidents. The objective of this study is to find out how motorcyclists perceive about safety riding in terms of traffic violations and the usage of safety attributes. The analysis method used is Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with a total number of sampel was 200. Questionnaires were distributed to respondents, i.e., motorcycle riders, residing in the city of Banda Aceh. The findings revealed that traffic violations and the use of safety attributes had a significant impact on safety riding implying that if the respondent follows the traffic rules, it will have an impact on safety riding factors, such as always being cautious and focused while riding, paying attention to the rear-view mirror, and caring about other road users. Although the understanding and awareness of motorcyclists is quite good, it is still recommended that motorcyclists need to be more careful on riding in order to avoid the traffic accidents. Abstract

Traffic congestion often occurs in many cities, particularly in developing countries, mainly due to excessive private vehicles instead of public transport. To solve the problem, public transport should improve its level of services to attract more people to use it. Therefore, it is essential to observe to what extent people's satisfaction with public transport regarding its operation. This research aims to analyze the satisfaction level of bus passengers in Banda Aceh City concerning the expected satisfaction and observed performance. The passengers' satisfaction level was analyzed using the important performance analysis (quadrant analysis) method. The results showed that people's perception of the level of service of Trans Koetaradja buses was still acceptable. However, the arrival and departure time still needs to be improved. Further, dedicated bus lane planning is essential to avoid traffic jams so that the travel time can be much shorter. The fleet of operating buses is sufficient, and free-of-charge fares still need to be applied.

Abstract: The national road in North Aceh District is very buzy, especially roads that pass through the Vital Project of Lhokseumawe and its surrounding areas are now called Special Economic Zones (SEZ) Lhokseumawe. Because it's built the way evasion from Krueng Mane to Buketrata along 32 Km, but this road  is not perfect yet, especially at the STA 14+750 to STA 21+400. The current reasearch aims to determine the value of time and the Vehicle Operating Costs (VOC); and economic feasibility in Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR), Net Present Value (NPV), and Economic Internal Rate of Return (EIRR) aspects. This study uses a productivity method to calculate the value of time, and the Pacific Consultant International method for calculating the VOC; and Bina Marga method was used to determine the economic feasibility in BCR, NPV, and EIRR aspects. The results of this research shown that   daily traffic volume of the annual average (LHRT) on alternative road obtained 9,583 vehicles /day in 2017; the difference in total time value was obtained Rp87,788.- /vehicle and the difference BOK is Rp3,289.- /vehicle; and economic feasibility of the alternative road construction in North Aceh Regency was obtained in 2026.
