Abstract

This community service activity was carried out for students of SMA IT Al-Utsaimin Bangkinang, Riau Province, where the purpose of this community service is to provide provisions in improving understanding related to the concept of Sharia-Based Financial Management Strategy for High School Students: Exploring the Potential and Benefits of SMA IT Al-Utsaimin Bangkinang. The methods used in this community service activity are through counseling and presentation, discussion and practice (pretset and post test) for participants. The counseling method is used to explain the importance of knowing the concept of Sharia economics for students in order to become prosperous generations using sharia principles. The presentation method is used to show a work process, namely the stages of how we become individuals who have a prosperous economy. While the question and answer method is used to give participants the opportunity to consult in understanding further the material that has been given. The practice method is used to see how far the participants understand the service before and after the material is delivered. The availability of adequate experts in delivering this material, the enthusiasm of the participants, and the support of the principal for the implementation of the activity are supporters of the implementation of this PPM activity. The obstacles faced are that the students do not yet have initial knowledge about the material of the concept of Islamic economics and limited time in delivering the material. The results of this service indicate that: The community service program can be organized well and run smoothly according to the activity plan that has been prepared, the results of this service concluded that: First, Most students of SMA IT Al-Utsaimin do not understand the concept of Islamic economics well, Second, The achievement of the objectives of the community service program for students of SMA IT Al-Utsaimin Bangkinang, the entire program that has been carried out with collaboration between the school and the community service have been carried out all and in accordance with the event rounddown and the time that has been determined previously.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic microfinance institutions in developing micro and small businesses in Indonesia through the distribution of funds based on sharia principles. The method used is a literature review to identify how Islamic financing schemes, such as mudharabah and musyarakah, contribute to increasing access to capital for small business actors. The results of the study show that Islamic microfinance institutions provide more inclusive and fair financing and business assistance and management of social funds such as zakat, infaq, and sedekah. This supports the growth of micro and small businesses and improves the community's economic welfare. However, several challenges remain, such as low Islamic financial literacy and limited capital. Therefore, this study recommends the need for innovation in Islamic financial technology and increased public education to expand the reach and effectiveness of Islamic financial services for micro and small businesses.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of HR Development, Competence, and Leadership Style on Service Quality and teacher performance at SMP and SMA IT AL Utsmani Bangkinang. A questionnaire is used to collect data in this research. The population in this study were all teachers at SMP and SMA IT AL Utsmanai Bangkinang with 81 teachers. The sample of this study used the census method with PLS 3.0 Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. The results showed that HR development had a positive and insignificant effect on Service Quality. The results showed that HR development had a positive and insignificant effect on Service Quality, Competence had a positive and significant effect on Service Quality, Leadership Style had a positive and significant effect on Service Quality, and Human Resources Development had a positive and significant effect on performance.

Abstract

Pelatihan Data Science menggunakan Bahasa Pemrograman Python di PT Ilmu Data Indonesia adalah sebuah kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam bidang Data Science menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python. Masalah yang dihadapi adalah minimnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengolah dan menganalisis data secara efektif. Solusi yang diterapkan adalah menyelenggarakan pelatihan intensif yang mencakup konsep dasar dan aplikasi praktis Data Science menggunakan Python. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sesi ceramah, studi kasus, dan praktik langsung dalam penggunaan Python untuk mengolah data, menerapkan algoritma analisis, dan memvisualisasikan hasilnya. Pelatihan ini melibatkan instruktur yang berpengalaman dan praktisi Data Science yang dapat memberikan panduan dan konsultasi kepada peserta. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep Data Science dan kemampuan mereka dalam mengaplikasikan Python dalam mengolah dan menganalisis data. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat yang besar bagi peserta dalam mengembangkan keterampilan Data Science menggunakan Python, serta memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang pentingnya analisis data dalam pengambilan keputusan bisnis. Pelatihan ini juga memberikan peluang bagi peserta untuk mengembangkan karir mereka dalam bidang Data Science yang sedang berkembang pesat.

Abstract

Penyebaran informasi yang efektif merupakan aspek penting dalam pembangunan desa yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan. Dalam konteks tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mempermudah penyebaran informasi desa melalui pendampingan pembuatan website Desa Gunung Malelo. Desa Gunung Malelo memiliki potensi pariwisata, perkebunan, dan pertanian, namun masih menghadapi tantangan dalam penyebaran informasi kepada masyarakat setempat. Melalui metode pendampingan yang terstruktur, kegiatan ini melibatkan analisis kebutuhan, pembentukan tim pendamping, pelatihan, pembangunan website desa, pelatihan pengelolaan konten, dan pendampingan teknis. Tim pendamping terdiri dari ahli teknologi informasi, pengembang web, dan fasilitator komunitas. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah terwujudnya sebuah website desa yang fungsional dan responsif. Masyarakat Desa Gunung Malelo dapat dengan mudah mengakses informasi penting seperti pengumuman pemerintah desa, kegiatan sosial, informasi kesehatan, jadwal pertemuan, dan layanan publik melalui website tersebut. Pendampingan dan pelatihan yang dilakukan membantu meningkatkan kapasitas sumber daya manusia di desa dalam mengelola dan memperbaharui konten website secara mandiri. Kegiatan ini berhasil mencapai tujuan utama, yaitu mempermudah penyebaran informasi desa. Desa Gunung Malelo mengalami peningkatan aksesibilitas informasi, partisipasi masyarakat, dan pengelolaan konten website yang berkelanjutan. Melalui pengabdian masyarakat ini, terjadi perubahan positif dalam dinamika komunikasi dan pengembangan desa, menuju arah yang lebih maju, terhubung, dan inklusif.

Abstract

This study examined the role of investment literacy in reducing cognitive biases in investment decisions, particularly availability bias, overconfidence bias, and herding bias. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected from 392 stock investors in Indonesia through surveys. The study employed Multi-Group Analysis (MGA) to assess the moderating effect of gender on the relationship between investment literacy and cognitive biases. The findings indicated that higher investment literacy significantly reduced all three biases, enabling investors to process information more objectively, assess their abilities more realistically, and make independent decisions. However, the moderating effect of gender was only significant in the relationship between investment literacy and overconfidence bias, while it had no significant impact on availability bias and herding bias. These results underscore the importance of investment literacy in minimizing irrational decision-making. The findings have practical implications for investors in improving their financial decision-making, for policymakers in designing effective financial education programs, and for academics in further developing behavioral finance research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membandingkan algoritma shortest path klasik, khususnya Dijkstra, dengan sistem penentuan rute berbasis waktu nyata seperti Google Maps dalam konteks efisiensi perjalanan. Simulasi manual dilakukan menggunakan graf berbobot statis, sementara studi kasus di Kota Pekanbaru digunakan untuk mengamati rekomendasi rute Google Maps pada dua waktu berbeda. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa algoritma Dijkstra menghasilkan rute optimal tetap (contoh: A → C → D → E dengan total waktu 5 menit pada kondisi normal), namun tidak dapat beradaptasi ketika terjadi perubahan kondisi lalu lintas. Sebaliknya, hasil observasi Google Maps menunjukkan adanya variasi rute: pada malam hari rute tercepat ditempuh dalam ±19 menit dengan jarak ±11,2 km, sementara pada siang hari rute berbeda dipilih dengan waktu tempuh lebih lama ±26 menit meskipun jaraknya hampir sama (±10,9 km). Perbedaan ini menegaskan bahwa Google Maps memperbarui bobot graf internalnya secara dinamis untuk menyesuaikan dengan kondisi lalu lintas. Temuan ini menyoroti keterbatasan algoritma konvensional di lingkungan perkotaan dinamis, sekaligus memperkuat keunggulan sistem navigasi berbasis data. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa algoritma shortest path klasik relevan untuk tujuan edukatif dan simulatif, tetapi sistem navigasi berbasis data waktu nyata lebih efektif diterapkan dalam transportasi perkotaan yang kompleks.

Abstract

The lack of physical activity in society has become one of the main factors contributing to the increased risk of non-communicable diseases. GPS-based technology has rapidly developed and can be utilized to enhance motivation for exercising. This community service program aims to educate and assist the public in using GPS-based exercise tracking applications to increase their physical activity. The methods used include socialization, training, monitoring of application usage, and evaluation of its effectiveness. The results indicate that the application helps raise awareness and motivation for exercising, as evidenced by the increased frequency and duration of physical activity. Thus, the use of GPS-based exercise tracking applications can be an innovative solution for promoting a healthier lifestyle in society.

Abstract

IntroductionThe volatility of stock returns in Islamic equity markets is a critical concern for both investors and policymakers. Islamic screening principles restrict excessive leverage and speculative activities, potentially shaping volatility in distinct ways compared to conventional markets. Understanding how firm fundamentals affect volatility within the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index is essential for evaluating the stability and competitiveness of Islamic capital markets.ObjectivesThis study aims to examine whether firm fundamentals, i.e. profitability, liquidity, leverage, size, growth, and asset turnover, systematically influence stock return volatility in Sharia‐compliant firms. It also seeks to identify cross‐sector heterogeneity in these relationships, highlighting whether specific industries are more sensitive to fundamental determinants of volatility.MethodThe research employs a quantitative design using a panel of 200 nonfinancial firms listed in the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index over the 2019–2023 period. Approximately 4,000 firm–quarter observations were analyzed. Volatility was modeled through panel generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity estimation, while Chow, Wald, and likelihood ratio tests were applied to assess sectoral heterogeneity. The study incorporated firm fundamentals as independent variables with sector‐specific models to capture industry differences.ResultsThe findings reveal that profitability and liquidity significantly reduce stock return volatility, while leverage consistently increases it. Firm size emerges as the most powerful stabilizer, growth contributes to higher volatility, and asset turnover lowers volatility. The magnitude of these effects varies across industries: Energy and Basic Materials show the strongest sensitivity to fundamental shocks, while Utilities and Healthcare display weaker responses. Statistical tests confirm substantial cross‐sector heterogeneity in the relationship between fundamentals and volatility.ImplicationsThe results demonstrate that Islamic screening principles, particularly restrictions on leverage, effectively mitigate excessive risk in Sharia markets. The study reinforces the relevance of Modern Portfolio Theory and Arbitrage Pricing Theory in Islamic settings while emphasizing the need for sector‐sensitive investment strategies. Portfolio managers and regulators may use these insights to refine risk management practices and enhance the resilience of Islamic equity markets.Originality/NoveltyThis study offers a novel application of panel GARCH modeling to explore cross‐sectoral heterogeneity in an Islamic equity universe. It contributes empirical evidence that firm fundamentals significantly and differentially shape volatility across industries, thereby advancing both Islamic finance scholarship and practical portfolio construction in Sharia‐compliant markets.

Abstract

This research aims to provide a better understanding of how Sharia banking can contribute to the development of micro-businesses in Indonesia. The research method used is the literature research method or literature review. This method focuses on the analysis and synthesis of written works that are relevant to the research topic being investigated. The results of this research show that Sharia banking has a significant role in building micro businesses in Indonesia. Islamic banking can be an effective partner in helping micro-businesses grow and develop in Indonesia. This article focuses on the role of Islamic banking in building micro businesses in Indonesia. Although the role of Islamic banking in developing micro-businesses is well known, this research provides a better understanding of the real contribution of Islamic banking in forming an ecosystem that supports the growth and sustainability of micro-businesses in Indonesia, as well as highlighting the challenges and obstacles faced by Islamic banking in building micro businesses in Indonesia. Indonesia. This article provides important implications for Sharia banking, government, financial institutions, and society in creating an environment that supports the growth and sustainability of micro-businesses in Indonesia.
