Abstract

Cybercrime is a brand-new category of crime that involves computer and other technology-based communication networks. In December 2022, a brand-new type of cybercrime surfaced that conned its victims by exploiting APK files. Cybercriminals trick their victims by posing as important individuals as PLN officers, police officers, parcel couriers, family members who send invitation letters, and so forth. When a victim installs a specific program, cybercriminals can steal personal information and even withdraw savings balances from the victim's account by using the private message feature and convincing messages. This study seeks to inform the general population, particularly at-risk demographics between the ages of 40 to 60. The outcomes of data gathering and analysis were based on reviews from chosen respondents in interviews, surveys, and literature reviews. The target audience may easily comprehend the design visualization because it is a straightforward flat vector illustration. Therefore, it can be stated that this educational cartoon can be utilized to educate the public about the several types of cybercrime that exist in the modern period.

Abstract

Batik as a cultural heritage of the Indonesian nation has high aesthetic value and economic potential. Limited knowledge regarding batik techniques with gutta and restricted access to non-formal education that teaches practical skills among the women’s congregants of the Gereja Utusan Pantekosta is a problem in empowering women to use their free time productively as a business opportunity that can improve family welfare. The empowerment of women’s congregants of the Gereja Utusan Pantekosta through batik-making training using the gutta technique to enhance practical skills that are easy to learn and apply was conducted on March 23, 2024. This initiative was a collaboration between the Faculty of Digital and Law Business, the Faculty of Humanities and Creative Industries, and the Faculty of Intelligent Technology and Engineering at Maranatha Christian University, along with Universitas Komputer Indonesia and the industrial partner Istana Kaen. The training involved 21 participants aged between 19 and 66 years. The implementation method included explanations, demonstrations, practical sessions, and mentoring. Participants gained increased knowledge and could create batik designs after the training.

Abstract

Abstract

A healthy lifestyle is a habit that can be instilled from an early age. Consuming vegetables and fruits as a healthy lifestyle has many benefits for health and fitness. Vegetables and fruits play an important role in helping the growth and development of early childhood. This study is part of the design process carried out through a descriptive quantitative method approach. From the data collection carried out, it was found that early childhood has an interest in interactive and attractive media. One of the media in question is a book design with educational and interactive content. Book design media can be one solution that can anticipate the low interest of early childhood in Indonesia in consuming vegetables and fruits. Interactive educational books are the right media in providing knowledge and insight to early childhood because in addition to being informative, they are also equipped with useful interactive aspects. Introduction to shapes, colors, and information about vegetables and fruits can be packaged comprehensively in interactive book media. The ultimate goal of this interactive educational book is to increase the knowledge, insight, and interest of early childhood, especially 6-10 years old, in vegetables and fruits as part of their healthy lifestyle.
