Abstract

Anemia in pregnancy is a condition with hemoglobin (Hb) levels < 11gr% in the first and third trimesters while the hemoglobin level in the second trimester is < 10.5gr%. Untreated anemia in pregnant women will result in suboptimal growth and development of the fetus in the womb and has the potential to cause complications in pregnancy and childbirth, even causing maternal death. Prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia can be done by consuming blood supplement (Fe) tablets per day and adding vitamin C. Red guava is a fruit rich in vitamin C. The vitamin C contained in guava increases the absorption of iron by the body, so that the body can absorb iron optimally. The aim of this care is to provide care to anemic pregnant women by giving them red guava juice to increase hemoglobin levels. This research method is a type of descriptive research with a case study approach. The sample was 1 pregnant woman G1P0A0 UK 36 weeks with mild anemia. The care provided is by administering 1 x 250 ml of red guava juice per day for 7 days from 15 – 21 March 2024. Care is carried out in 2 visits. From 7 days of care, the result was an increase in the mother's hemoglobin level of 1.8 gr/dl, where previously the mother's first Hb was 10.7 gr/dl to 12.5 gr/dl. It was concluded that giving red guava juice can increase hemoglobin levels in anemic pregnant women.

Abstract

Early childhood education (PAUD) is education that is organized as a comprehensive coaching effort towards the growth and development of children from the ages of 0-6 years, by providing stimulus to aspects of the child's growth and development so that they can run optimally according to their stages. Early age is also known as the golden age in various aspects of children's growth and development. This period is also a period of great potential for children to learn various kinds of knowledge and skills as preparation for children to enter the next period. Therefore, society, parents and educators must work together in developing it so that aspects of children's growth and development can be stimulated properly. For this reason, researchers are interested in researching the problems of developing PAUD in rural areas. The research method used was qualitative research by taking samples in Habirau village and the Al-Husna early childhood education institution Jalan Guerilla, Daha Selatan District, Kandangan, South Kalimantan. The subjects in this research were 10 informants including 4 teaching staff and 6 parents or the community. The results of the research show that people in Habirau Kandangan village consider PAUD, especially play groups (KB), to be not very important for children. This is due to the lack of knowledge of parents, the community and educators regarding the importance of educating children of their own age, starting from birth until the age of 6 years.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi sistem full day school dalam mengembangkan empati anak kelompok A1 di RA Mu’adz Bin Jabbal 2 serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat sistem full day school dalam mengembangkan empati anak. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah, wali kelas A1, guru pendamping dan siswa kelompok A1 RA Mu’adz Bin Jabbal 2 Ketandan Banguntapan Bantul. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan instrumen yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan pedomen observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik menguji keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi yaitu sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti di RA Mu’adz Bin Jabbal 2 Ketandan Banguntapan Bantul yang berkaitan dengan Implementasi Sistem Full day School dalam Mengembangkan Empati Anak Kelompok A1 di RA Mu’adz Bin Jabbal 2 Ketandan Banguntapan Bantul yaitu Implementasi sistem full day school dalam mengembangkan empati anak berkembang sesuai dengan harapan, hal ini terlihat anak-anak sudah mampu untuk peduli dengan teman yang mengalami kesulitan, saling tolong menolong, berbagi, peka terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Faktor pendukung dan penghambat sistem full day school dalam mengembangkan empati anak kelompok A RA Mu’adz Bin Jabbal 2 Ketandan Banguntapan Bantul yaitu faktor pendukung diantaranya, faktor internal (guru dan komponen yang ada di sekolah) dan eksternal (orang tua, masyarakat sekitar sekolah dan media). Faktor penghambat diantaranya tingkat perkembangan anak yang berbeda-beda, teman di sekolah dan pendidikan rumah yang tidak mendukung dengan pendidikan di sekolah.

Abstract

The presence of computers and information technology has brought many changes to human life, including the field of career counseling. The aim of this research is to develop a website-based career counseling application. The development model used is 4D, which includes the definition, design, development and dissemination. This research was conducted at Universitas Negeri Medan which began with collecting initial data related to data on career exploration problems, career selection and lifelong career development. The data collection techniques for this research are interviews, observations and questionnaires for material experts and information technology experts. As a result, the process of developing a career application based on the GCC-Learning.com website has components that suit the needs of Medan State University students. It is known that the need for information and career assistance has been met, but has not resulted in positive changes as expected, because the application being developed is still relatively new and has not been well socialized among students. It is hoped that the results of this research will be useful for all parties involved in student career development issues.

Abstract

Pada kegiatan pengabdian ini yang menjadi mitra adalah Forum Musyawarah Guru Bimbingan Konseling Kota Binjai, Sumatera Utara. Forum ini sangat membutuhkan pendampingan terkait dengan permasalahan rendahnya kompetensi guru Bimbingan Konseling dalam mengidentifikasi, melakukan need assesment, dan merancang program pembelajaran individual bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah. Terdapat beberapa masalah yang dihadapi oleh mitra yakni: 1) Terbatasnya akses untuk mendapatkan pelatihan mengenai pembelajaran anak berkebutuhan khusus; 2) Keberadaan siswa berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah umum; 3) Adanya keterbatasan guru dalam melakukan tidakan profesional sesuai kebutuhan siswa berkebutuhan khusus; dan 4) Tidak tersedianya panduan pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan konseling bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah. Pelaksanaan  pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode workshop untuk peningkatan kompetensi porfesional guru serta metode focus group discussion untuk pemanfaatan aplikasi rangkulabk sebagai bentuk inovasi sosial dalam pendidikan anak berkebutuhan khusus. Keberhasilan pengabdian ini dapat diukur berdasarkan luaran yang dihasilkan antara lain: peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam mengidentifikasi dan mengukur kebutuhan siswa berkebutuhan khusus; guru memiliki panduan dalam modifikasi kurikulum untuk pengembangan program pembelajaran individu bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus serta tersedianya program bimbingan konseling bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah.

Abstract

The process of accepting the condition of children with special needs requires family support. Self-acceptance of children is an important aspect that parents need to have. Parents often show various reactions when dealing with children with special needs. One response that usually arises is to give high demands or expectations to children, which can be a sign that they have not entirely accepted the child's condition. This phenomenon is known as denial or rejection of the reality experienced. The study aimed to determine the relationship between family support and self-acceptance of parents of children with special needs in S.L.B. Quantitative research design with a Cross-Sectional approach. The population of 40 parents with children with special needs in S.L.B. used total sampling to obtain a total sample of 40 people. The research instrument was a family support and self-acceptance questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using the Spearman Rank test approach method. The study results showed that family support had a sufficient category of 20 respondents (50%). The self-acceptance of parents with special needs children was obtained in the high category of 15 respondents (37.5%). The statistical test results obtained a p-value of 0.018 (<0.05), indicating a relationship between family support and self-acceptance of parents with children with special needs in S.L.B. Suggestions for parents who have children in S.L.B. should socialize more often with family, relatives or the surrounding environment so that they can provide support and motivation to increase self-acceptance and continue to explore their child's potential so that parents are more accepting of their child's condition. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the application and constraints of the reward method in the formation of children's discipline at RA Nurul Jannah Hamayung Village, Daha Utara District. This type of research is field research. The approach used is a qualitative descriptive approach. The object of this research is the application of reward methods and constraints in forming 5-6-year-old children's discipline in RA Nurul Jannah Hamayung Village. The subjects in this study were teachers and head of RA Nurul Jannah and parents of children. Data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by following the Miles Huberman interactive model with several stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results of the application of the reward method in disciplining children aged 5-6 years at RA Nurul Jannah Hamayung Village, Daha Utara District are by giving praise, giving applause, giving thumbs up, and giving material (stars and stationery), and the obstacles to the application of the reward method are psychological, physical, family, community and school conditions

Keberhasilan pengabdian ini dapat diukur berdasarkan luaran yang dihasilkan antara lain: peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam mengidentifikasi dan mengukur kebutuhan siswa berkebutuhan khusus; guru memiliki panduan dalam modifikasi kurikulum untuk pengembangan program pembelajaran individu bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus serta tersedianya program bimbingan konseling bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on all aspects, one of which is the Health aspect which has resulted in limited face-to-face activities with health workers in Antenatal Care (ANC) services. This creates anxiety for pregnant women in facing their labor and birth. Based on these conditions, community service is carried out by socializing the improvement and knowledge of pregnant women about preparation for labor and birth during the COVID-19 pandemic. The implementation of the socialization was carried out with 2 approaches, namely an online survey with e-form via WhatsApp media and directly meeting pregnant mothers from house to house which of course was carried out according to the COVID-19 Health protocol. Ahmad et al., (2021) The results of the survey were found in the group that used the google form of pretest knowledge, the average value of 49% increased after the posttest to 89%. Meanwhile, in the group who visited the pretest knowledge house, the results showed an increase of 47% after the posttest to 87%. The implementation of this service went smoothly because it was supported by the government and the surrounding community. In the future, it is hoped that this kind of socialization can be implemented by stakeholders in handling and making health policies related to health services for pregnant women during the current pandemic. Abstract

Nausea and vomiting during pregnancy is generally referred to as morning sickness, is experienced by about 70% to 80% of pregnant women and is a phenomenon that often occurs between five and 12 weeks of gestation. During pregnancy there are various kinds of problems or complications that often occur, such as feelings of nausea and vomiting that are very often experienced by pregnant women which is one of the first symptoms during pregnancy. Situations and conditions like this can slow the circulation of blood and can result in a lack of oxygen and food supply to the tissues so that it can endanger the health of the mother and the fetus.Efforts to treat hyperemesis gravidarum are grouped into 2 namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies. One of the non-pharmacological therapies used is aromatherapy with lemon-based ingredients. Lemon is one of the fruits that is considered a drug that is quite safe when used in pregnancy. The administration of lemon aromatherapy inhalation is efficient and effective in reducing the frequency of nausea and vomiting for pregnant women. Inhalation of lemon aromatherapy is a part that can be determined as a complementary therapy to reduce the frequency of nausea and vomiting in the care of pregnant women.Lemon can reduce complaints in hyperemesis gravidarum, the aroma produced will stimulate the work of brain neurochemical cells and can stabilize the nervous system.
