Abstract

Education is providing training through a process of teaching, guidance and leadership from people who know more about an object. The result of education is a change in a person's attitudes and behavior towards a value attached to a person or group of people. Education that is able to support future development is education that is able to develop the potential of students. One field of study that has an important role in the world of education and facing everyday life problems is mathematics. One of the abilities that students need to develop at school is the ability to understand concepts which can then be used to solve mathematical problems. Mathematical problem solving abilities aim to form initial abilities to learn mathematics that can be used in the mathematics learning process in mathematics material at school. In this study, researchers used the Polya stage in the form of 4 steps to examine students in class VIII of MTs Terpadu Al Firdaus. The female students who were research subjects were classified as low ability because they had low scores. There was 1 subject who had problems with initial mathematical abilities, then 1 subject with a lack of motivation, and 2 other subjects had problems such as lack of concentration and accuracy. This research was conducted to determine the ability of female students in solving mathematical problems, especially in the subject of the Pythagorean theorem. Apart from that, this research can also be a suggestion for teachers or educators in guiding students who need special attention.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Bringin. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning model with a contextual approach to student problem solving. This research was conducted in class VIII, with a population of all classes VIII A to F. The sample of this study was class VIII D, as the experimental class and class VIII F as the control class. This study used a quasi-experimental quantitative research design, namely a posttest only control group design where researchers gave posttests to both the experimental and control classes, but only the experimental group received treatment. The method used in the problem-solving stages of this study is Polya's four stages. By using data analysis at a significance level (α) = 0.05, the hypothesis results were 2.885> 2.056 with the conclusion that in class VIII D or the experimental class Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, then the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning model with a contextual approach was able to improve student problem solving.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the inquiry learning method with an ethnomathematics approach on the mathematical understanding of class VII students at SMPN 1 Bringin for the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental research design. With research subjects from class VII, 56 students were taken from the experimental class and 56 students from the control class. Data collection was carried out by means of a post-test carried out at the end of the lesson which was used to determine students' mathematical understanding. In analyzing the data, this research uses statistical data analysis with a formula (t test). The research results show a significant difference with a calculated t value = 2.199 and t table = 2.056 with a significance level of 0.05. The average score of students after being taught using the inquiry learning method with an ethnomathematics approach was 93,50, while the average score of students using the direct learning model was 87,93. Thus, the use of the inquiry learning method with an ethnomathematics approach is effective in the mathematical understanding of class VII students at SMPN 1 Bringin for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

This research was conducted at Al-Azhar Paron Middle School with the aim of finding out whether the discovery learning model with a scientific approach was more effective than conventional learning models on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII students at Al-Azhar Paron Middle School. The research used is Quasi Experimental research with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design which consists of two research groups, namely an experimental class with a Discovery Learning learning model with a scientific approach and a control class with a conventional learning model. The population in this study were class VII students at Al-Azhar Paron Ngawi Middle School. The research sample was taken using a saturated sampling technique (sample determination when all members of the population are used as samples). The prerequisite test carried out was a normality test using the Lilliefors method and a homogeneity test was carried out to see the similarity of the variants in the two groups. Data were analyzed univariately with a significance level of 5% (0.05) for hypothesis testing using the t-test. The results of the research show that the learning outcomes of students who use the discovery learning model with a scientific approach compared to the conventional learning model are more effectively applied in class VII of Al-Azhar Middle School. The results of calculations using the t test obtained t_count = 2.892 while t_(table )= 2.042, which shows that t_count > t_table at a significance level of 5% (0.05), meaning that H_0 is rejected, giving us confidence that the research hypothesis is accepted. These results can then be interpreted to mean that the application of the discovery learning model with a scientific approach is more effective than the conventional learning model on mathematics learning outcomes in class VII Al-Azhar Paron Middle School.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether the STEM-based PjBL learning model is effective on the critical thinking ability of SPLDV material of Al-Azhar Paron Junior High School students. The research used is a quantitative research with a Quasi Experimental design. The population in this study is grade VIII students of Al-Azhar Paron Junior High School. The research sample is the entire population with the number of class VIII A 25 students and class VIII B 21 students. The prerequisite test carried out was a normality test using the Lilliefors formula and a variant homognance test was carried out to see the similarity of variants in both groups. Hypothesis testing is carried out using the unpaired T test. The results of the study showed that the average calculation of the post test results of the experimental class that applied the STEM-based PjBL learning model was higher than that of the control class that applied the conventional learning model. If you look at the results of the unpaired t-test, it shows that the t-count (3.601) is greater than the t-table (2.015) at a significance level of 5%, meaning that the null hypothesis is rejected so that it gives us confidence that the research hypothesis is accepted. These results can then be interpreted that the application of the STEM-based PjBL learning model is effective on the critical thinking skills of SPLDV material of Al-Azhar Paron Junior High School students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan kebijakan, kendala yang dialami guru, serta solusi dari kendala pelaksanaan kebijakan lima hari sekolah dalam penanaman karakter beriman bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa dan berakhlak mulia di kelas IV SDN Karangtengah Prandon 2. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini di fokuskan pada kebijakan lima hari sekolah dalam penanaman Karakter Beriman Bertaqwa Kepada Tuhan yang Maha Esa dan Berakhlak Mulia yang di berikan guru kepada siswa. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer yang diperoleh dari hasil observasi dan wawancara peneliti di SDN Karangtengah Prandon 2. Dalam kegiatan analisis data terdiri dari tiga alur kegiatan yaitu kondensasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa bahwa implementasi kibijakan lima hari sekolah dalam menanamkan karakter beriman bertaqwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa dan berakhlak mulia di SDN Karangtengah Prandon 2 berjalan sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor 23 Tahun 2017. Dalam pelaksanaannya guru menerapkan profil pelajar pancasila dimensi pertama yaitu Beriman Bertaqwa Kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa dan berakhlak mulia. Penanaman karakter dilakukan dengan program berupa pembiasaan hafalan surat di juz 30, pembacaan asmaul husna dan solat duha sebelum pembelajaran dimulai. Pembiasaan pembiasaan dilakukan untuk menjadikan lulusan SDN Karangtengah Prandon 2 menjadi lulusan yang faham akan agama dan dapat menerapkan nilai nilai agama di manapun siswa siswi berada. Dalam pelaksanaan implementasi juga menglami beberapa kendala namun adanya kendala yang ada dapat diatasi dengan solusi solusi yang sudah diterapkan di SDN Karangtengah Prandon 2. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan, Pembelajaran, Lima Hari Sekolah.

Abstract

Meminimalkan beban kognitif siswa, terutama beban kognitif ekstrinsik yang tidak perlu, merupakan hal yang sangat penting agar materi yang disampaikan oleh guru dapat dengan baik diolah oleh siswa menjadi pengetahuan yang bermakna. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali informasi tentang cara mengembangkan dan merancang strategi pembelajaran yang dapat mengurangi beban kognitif siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah studi kepustakaan, dan data diperoleh melalui pencarian online menggunakan sumber seperti Google Scholar, Science Direct, dan Education Resources Information Center (ERIC). Artikel-artikel yang ditemukan kemudian dianalisis dengan metode analisis isi. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengidentifikasi berbagai strategi yang dapat digunakan dalam merancang pembelajaran matematika berdasarkan prinsip Cognitive Load Theory, seperti efek tanpa tujuan (goal-free effect), efek contoh kerja (worked example effect), efek perhatian terpecah (split-attention effect), efek redundansi (redundancy effect), efek modalitas (modality effect), efek interaktivitas elemen (element interactivity effect), efek imajinasi (imagination effect), dan efek redupnya panduan (guidance fading effect).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses berpikir siswa SD dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan denganmeliputi langkah memahami masalah, merencanakan pemecahan, menyelesaikan masalah sesuai langkah kedua dan memeriksa kembali hasil yang diperoleh.Subyek penelitian adalah enam siswa kelas I SD N wakah 2 Kecamatan Ngrambe. Pengambilan subyek berdasarkan tingkat prestasi belajar matematika siswa yakni siswa berkemampuan tinggi dua siswa, siswa berkemampuan sedang dan siswa berkemampuan rendah masing-masing dua. Metode tes dan wawancara digunakan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Teknik keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi yaitu membandingkan data hasil tes dan wawancara. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, model data dan verifikasi data atau penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Siswa kriteria tinggi menunjukkan bahwa siswa tersebut berkecenderungan memiliki proses berpikir yang baik dalam menguraikan jawaban secara terperinci sesuai prosedur yang runtut, tepat dan benar dalam menyelesaikan soal satuan pengukuran panjang, (2) Siswa kriteria sedang menunjukkan bahwa siswa tersebut berkecenderungan memiliki proses berpikir yang cukup dalam menguraikan jawaban secara terperinci yaitu menyelesaikan soal satuan pengukuran panjang dengan prosedur yang runtut tetapi kurang tepat, (3) Siswa kriteria rendah menunjukkan bahwa siswa tersebut berkecenderungan memiliki proses berpikir yang kurang yaitu tidak dapat menyelesaikan soal satuan pengukuran panjang dengan prosedur yang benar sesuai langkah-langkah penyelesaian masalah.

Abstract

Bagi individu, pendidikan dapat bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan kualitas manusia seperti pemahaman, pengetahuan, pengembangan keterampilan, kesempatan kerja, untuk pengembangan karir dimasa depan. Hasil dari analisis komunikasi matematis di ambil dari penyebaran angket kemudian pengisian uji komunikasi dan selanjutnya adalah pengiat dari hasil yang ada. Dalam data angket terdapat 17 siswa visual, 6 anak auditorial, dan 6 anak dengan gaya belajar kinestetik. Setelah penyebarab angket dari tiap gaya bahaya itu diambil sampel untuk melakukan uji kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Dari hasil komunikasi matematis itu akan berlanjut ke wawancara yang bertujuan untuk menggali informasi lebih lanjut tentang kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang ada. Dari paparan data dan hasil maka dari situ dapat di ambil kesimpulan gaya belajar mana yang efektif dan komunikasi matematis gaya belajar apa yang dapat diterima peserta didik

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat perbedaan model CPS dengan pembelajaran langsung terhadap kemampuan berfikir kritis matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Kasareman materi statistika. teknik pengambilan yang digunakan adalah sampel Cluster Random Sampling. yang terdiri dari dua kelas, Kelas eksperimen (VIII B) diberikan model CPS, sedangkan kelas kontrol (VIII C) diberikan pembelajaran langsung. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan Uji-t. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Didapatkan perbedaan hasil belajar matematika CPS rata-rata 75,17, dan pembelajaran langsung mendapat rata-rata 61,55. (2) Model CPS memberikan hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran langsung. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah model CPS lebih efektif dari pada pembelajran langsung ditinjau dari hasil pretest dan posttes yang meningkat. kelas dengan perlakuan Model CPS yang memiliki rata-rata lebih tinggi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa
