Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi ketika peneliti melakukan observasi di SDI Wildan Mukholladun dengan subjek siswa kelas tinggi. Ketika observasi ditemukan bahwa massih banyak siswa yang belum memahami tentang penulisan fiksi sederhana yang benar dan sesuai dengan kaidah KBBI. Selain itu guru juga masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memberikan informasi yang benar terkait dengan menulis fiksi khususnya cerita anak. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya solusi untuk memotivasi dan meningkatkan literasi anak khususnya bagi siswa kelas tinggi di SDI Wildan Mukholladdun. Fokus pada penelitian ini adalah (1) memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa dan guru tentang pentingnya literasi anak (2) Memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan menulis cerita anak bagi siswa kelas tinggi dengan menggunakan konsep sederhana berbasis big book. Adapun hasil dari pelatihan dan pendampingan ini adalah (1) Guru dan siswa memahami akan pentingnya literasi anak (2) Siswa mampu menulis cerita anak secara sederhana dan sesuai dengan kaidah KBBI. Hasil dari tulisan dibukukan dan diterbitkan sebagai karya antologi.

Abstract

Media in the process of learning English is very important. In this study, this was evidenced by a needs analysis of 11 students and 1 English teacher in class X for students majoring in Visual Communication Design. This study aims to determine the needs of students and also to know the results of the development of instructional media on descriptive text material. This study used several ADDIE Research and Development (R&D) models to obtain results using observation instruments and unstructured interviews. It uses steps including (1) needs analysis, (2) product design, (3) development, (4) implementation (5) evaluation. The research subjects were 11 students of class X Visual Communication Design at Darul Huda Vocational School. The limitation of this research is developing spinning wheel and flash card learning media on descriptive text material for class X students majoring in Visual Communication Design. Researchers get valid results in two aspects and one very valid result. For very valid results in terms of total language (85%) and for 2 valid aspects are content (80%) and media (75%) and are suitable for use as learning media in descriptive text material. According to the satisfaction questionnaire about this product, the percentage of about 40% agreed and 60% strongly agreed. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a dictionary of hospitality terms as an e-book reading. The reason behind the development of this product is that hospitality terms in a foreign language are very important to be learned and understood by students majoring in hospitality accommodation. The lack of students' knowledge about the meaning of hospitality terms and the absence of specific learning media to learn the meaning of hospitality terms, made researchers interested in developing a dictionary of hospitality terms in the form of an e-book to make it easier for students in understand foreign hospitality terms. This development research uses the ADDIE model. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire. Questionnaires were distributed to 30 class XI students majoring in hospitality accommodation (XI APH 3) at SMKN 3 Kota Blitar. The findings show that students' evaluation of the existence of a dictionary of hospitality terms in the form of an e-book received a positive response. This dictionary of hospitality terms made them more enthusiastic. They would use this dictionary of hospitality terms again to learn the meaning of hospitality terms. This dictionary can be learned and used by students majoring in hospitality accommodation at all levels. Keywords:  Dictionary; Hospitality Terms; Media Development

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop Spinning wheel media to teach narrative text writing skills. Based on the results of interviews with English teachers and students who are lacking in writing. Researchers used the Borg and Gall R&D model in Sugiono's book, researchers only used 7 of the 10 steps of Borg and Gall, namely: Potential and Problems, Data Collection, Product Design, Design Validation, Design Revision, Product Trial and Product Revision.The purpose of this research is to develop the use of spinning wheel game learning media in the teaching and learning proces  students who need the ability to write English, and the differencess with the previous researcher are the purpose of the study. This research was conducted in SMK Hidayatul Mubtadiin Kanigoro at Tenth Grade which had 27 students, 13 famales  14 male. The study was successful with a student satisfaction response rise of 87% which can be said to be Very Valid.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between students' reading speed and reading comprehension in class VIII narrative texts at MTsS Nurul Huda Banjarsari. This study presented the question, "Is there a significant relationship between the reading speed and reading comprehension of eighth grade MTsS Nurul Huda Banjarsari students?". A total of twenty eighth-grade MTsS Nurul Huda Banjarsari students constituted the population of this investigation. In this research, the researcher employs an explanatory design in this study, because because explanatory design is quantitative research in which investigators measure the degree of relation between two or more variables use the statistical procedure of correlation analysis. Here the research sample is the total sample or saturated sample. This research uses the descriptive method as a methodology. This research employs a test as its instrument, which measures reading speed and narrative text comprehension. As indicated by the r value of 0.74 and the significance level of 0.000, the correlation between students' reading speed and reading comprehension was found to be statistically significant. This value indicates a significant correlation between reading speed and comprehension.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the results of validator validation and student responses to the product that the researcher had developed in the form of a supplementary book with a combination of Visio media to test 16 7B grade students. MTs Syekh Subakir 1. This study uses Research and Development (R&D) used Borg and Gall theory (2003). The material presented in the media is descriptive text and this additional product focuses on speaking skill. Data collection technique were carried out used unstructured interviews and surveys. The instruments used are interview guidelines and questionnaires used a Likert scale. Based on the results of the validation carried out by material and media experts, from the results of student responses, the percentage of results obtained were 82,3%, 83,3%, and 79.8% with the criteria "Good or Valid or useful". so, it can be concluded that additional descriptive text books as learned media are very well used in the English learned process.

Abstract

The government, through the Ministry of Education and Culture, seeks to provide teaching materials (text books) and revise the 2013 Curriculum, which distinguishes it from the High School English Curriculum, in order to fulfill good English language skills in students, especially in Vocational High Schools. Media in learning English is very important, as evidenced by an analysis of the needs of 38 students and an English teacher of class X Grade in the Electrical Power Installation Program. This study aims to determine the process of obtaining English teaching materials needed by students and the development of English supplementary material for narrative text based on the writing task. This study used the ADDIE Research and Development model (R&D) model. The results used questionnaires, unstructured interviews, expert judgment, and observation. It used several steps including: (1) Research&Information collection, (2) Develop preliminary form of product, (3) Product revision, (4) Product testing, (5) Final product revision. The object of this research subject is research were 38 students of X Grade in Electrical Power Installation Program students majoring at SMK Islam 1 Blitar. The result of expert validation showed that the product gets a 3,89 value is in the range of  3.25 < x < 4. This supplementary material is categorized “Very Good” feasible to use as supplement about narrative text material for X Grade in Electrical Power Installation Program students majoring.

Abstract

This research aims to develop PPT interactive English for recount text material at MA Ma'arif Udanawu. This product was developed in response to the dearth of teaching resources available to educators. Since textbooks and ebooks are typically the only learning tools used, the offered information is less engaging. Students also lack self-assurance when speaking. They fear making grammatical or pronunciation errors. The aim of this research is to create an ADDIE-based PPT interactive. Interviews and questionnaires were used to gather data. At MA Ma'arif Udanawu, 38 students in MIPA 5 received questionnaires. In the meantime, the English teacher and several students were interviewed. The validity of PPT interactive learning media on English material with recount text material has been tested with the results of instrument validity of 88%, media (design) validity of 100% and material validity (content) of 97% with very valid criteria and feasible to use. The practicality of interactive PPT learning media on recount text material obtained a questionnaire result from student responses of 82% with very practical and appropriate criteria for use.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the process and results the development of comic strip media for teaching reading skills in explanatory text material. The research subjects were 10 students of class XI MA Assalam jambewangi. The development procedure refers to the ADDIE model. Observation techniques, questionnaires and observations were used as information gathering in the preliminary study. Meanwhile, to determine the feasibility of comic strip products, researchers used a questionnaire instrument given to content and media experts. Then a student response questionnaire was conducted to determine the level of student satisfaction with the media. According to the content expert's assessment, a score of 88% was obtained in the very good category. From media experts, a score of 98% was obtained which was classified in the very Good category. In addition, the results of the student response questionnaire also scored 79% in the good category. Based on the overall assessment, the development of comic strip learning media on giving and asking for information themed explanatory text material for class XI students was declared valid and suitable for use teaching and learning activities in the School.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop interactive English modules which have been designed in a systematic and attractive manner by containing material, limitations and assessment methods. With this module, researchers hope to help English teachers at MTs An-Nur in the learning process so that they become more active and easy to achieve learning goals. According to observations made by researchers, a problem has been found, namely the lack of student literacy results in very little student interest in learning English. On the other hand students also have difficulty understanding it. The research method used in this article is research and development (R&D), a research approach to produce new products or improve existing products. In producing certain products, this research is a needs analysis using survey or qualitative methods. Each product produced also needs to be tested for product feasibility with experimental methods. In accordance with the results that have been carried out, the validation results obtained by the expert team are 91%. 81% student response, and 85% teacher response. With these results it can be concluded that the development of interactive modules for class VIII at MTs An-Nur Bululawang is declared valid and feasible to use.
