Abstract

This study aims to determine factors related to work accidents for workers in the production division of Palm Oil Mills, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency in 2021. The type of research used is quantitative with a cross sectional study design. The sample in this study was 86 people. Data analysis was done by bivariate and multivariate. The results of the study of variables related to work accidents from the bivariate analysis were age (p-value=0.004), years of service (p-value=0.007), knowledge (p-value=0.004), attitude (p-value=0.007), occupational safety and health (K3) training (p-value=0.004), and use of personal protective equipment (APD) (p-value=0.000). The most dominant variable on work accidents is the use of APD (p-value=0.032).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out behavior of the use of personal protective equipment for forest and land fires on the Quick Response Team Officers at Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah, Bengkalis Regency in 2022. This study uses a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach. Data collection methods use are interviews, observation, and documentation. The technique uses in determining the informants is using a purposive sampling technique. The data processing technique used in this study is a triangulation technique. The results show that the behavior of using personal protective equipment for forest and land fires at the Bengkalis Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency's Quick Response Team in 2022 had not been carried out optimally.

Abstract

Radiological examination is carried out using a diagnostic imaging tool that emits radiation, therefore radiology installations must pay attention to aspects of the application of workers' occupational safety and health. The purpose of this study was evaluation of the implementation of occupational safety and health at the Radiology Installation of the Madani Regional Hospital, Pekanbaru City in 2021. This study uses qualitative research methods through in-depth interviews, observation and document review. The research informants were 8 people, which were determined based on the snowball sampling technique. The results obtained are standard operating procedures (SOP) for services have been made and have been socialized and implemented by officers but special SOP for occupational health and safety (K3) are not yet available, radiology installation permits are still in process, K3 training has not been implemented, installation facilities and infrastructure radiology is adequate but there are still shortcomings, archive records have been neatly and in detail in accordance with applicable regulations, reports cannot be carried out because the radiology installation is still in the permit process; some management requirements, some radiation protection requirements and technical requirements are not in accordance with applicable regulations, radiology installation safety verification is in accordance with applicable requirements. The conclusion of this study is that the application of K3 Radiology Installation at the Madani Regional Hospital is not in accordance with the regulation of the head of the nuclear energy supervisory agency number 4 of 2020. It is recommended that the Radiology Installation and related parties can complete the licensing file that is still lacking, conduct K3 training, report if the permit has been completed, meet management requirements, radiation protection requirements and technical requirements that are still lacking.

Abstract

Fire is a threat to human safety, property and the environment. Fire incidents at gas stations often occur, at least from 2018-2020 there have been two fire cases in Indragiri Hulu Regency which resulted in physical and material losses. The fire occurred due to the unavailability and lack of monitoring of active fire protection facilities at gas stations. This type of research is a case study qualitative research which is determined by purposive sampling. The informants in this study consisted of 6 people, namely operators, field coordinators, technical staff, supervisors, leaders and directors of gas stations. The results obtained are that the gas station already has 2 fire detectors but does not meet the standard of SNI 03-3985-2000, Gas stations already have fire alarms but not yet installed in all buildings, gas stations already have 4 fire extinguishers and are not in accordance with Pertamina Regulation and PU Ministerial Regulation No. 26/PRT/M/2008, there is an absorbent in the form of sand with a blue tub and it is not in accordance with Pertamina standards, it already has a hydrant that meets the standard and already has hose reels. It is suggested to gas stations to increase the number of fire detectors, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, hydrants and absorbents in accordance with Pertamina standards.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health (K3) is a protective effort given to workers so that they are always in good health and provide safety in carrying out work activities and provide a sense of comfort to everyone who enters the workplace. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Implementation of of the implementation of the K3 program at the Madani Regional Hospital of Pekanbaru City in 2021. This study used a qualitative research method through in-depth interviews, observation and document review with 8 research informants, which were determined by purposive sampling. The results obtained are that the current human resources K3 of the Hospital are not sufficient, the infrastructure and K3 budget are inadequate, risk management has not been implemented, health services have not been carried out thoroughly, the management of toxic hazardous materials (B3) is not optimal, prevention and fire control and preparedness for emergency or disaster conditions have not been implemented because K3 officers also have responsibilities in other fields of work. The conclusion of this study is that the application of K3 at the Madani Regional Hospital of Pekanbaru City has not gone well. It is recommended to the hospital management to increase human resources K3 of the Hospital in accordance with the K3 educational background, complete the K3 facilities and infrastructure, allocate a special budget for the K3 program, carry out risk management, provide comprehensive occupational health services, carry out management according to standards, and carry out prevention and comprehensive fire and emergency control.
