Abstract

Main Purpose - This study aims to determine the effect of ESG practices on a firm's capital structure, using firm size as a moderating variable.Method - This study utilizes moderated regression analysis conducted with Eviews. The research sample included businesses listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange's IDXESGL index between 2020 and 2023.Main Findings - Companies with higher ESG scores typically have lower debt-to-asset and debt-to-equity ratios. Firm size can influence the relationship between ESG and capital structure. The relationship between ESG and capital structure has piqued the interest of investors and other stakeholders that can influence corporate decisions regarding debt and equity composition.Theory and Practical Implications - Companies increasingly recognize that sustainable business practices are not only ethically responsible but also financially profitable. Research can provide more precise policy suggestions to assist businesses in embracing strong ESG practices and enhancing their access to funding.Novelty - This study examines companies listed in Indonesia's ESG index, making the research findings more relevant to the local context, with firm size as a moderating variable.

Abstract

The use of Virtual Reality (VR) technology in education is growing rapidly, including in the context of Islamic learning. This study aims to examine the acceptance of the VR-based Hadith learning model among students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program of the Riau Islamic University .  This study involved a population of 128 students who were active in the 2023/2024 academic year and took Hadith courses. The census method was used for sampling, so that the entire population became the research sample. Data were gathered using a questionnaire designed to assess the study's variables, employing a 5-point Likert scale. The analysis was performed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique with the Partial a Squares (PLS) approach. This method was chosen due to its capability to manage intricate models with numerous latent variables and indicators, and its flexibility regarding data distribution assumptions. The results showed that perceived usefulness has a significant positive effect on the intention to use VR for Hadith learning. Meanwhile, Perceived Ease of Use does not have a significant effect on intention to use. These findings indicate the importance of considering the perceived benefits of VR technology in increasing its adoption in the Islamic religious education environment. This research also contributes to the educational literature by emphasizing the importance of technology acceptance and adoption in the context of Islamic religious education.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of Sharia financial literacy, Sharia compliance, technology accessibility, and Islamic leadership on the performance of MSMEs in Riau – Indonesia, with the mediation of Sharia Financial Technology Adoption and the moderation of government regulations. This research employed a quantitative study approach using a survey methodology. The sample consisted of 500 MSMEs in Riau that had used services from Sharia financial institutions and had been operating for at least one year. The analytical technique employed was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The results showed that Sharia financial literacy, technological accessibility, and Islamic leadership had a significant effect on Sharia financial technology adoption and MSME Business performance. Furthermore, Sharia fintech adoption significantly mediated the effect of these three variables on the performance of MSMEs. Conversely, the effect of Sharia compliance on Sharia financial technology adoption and MSME performance was not significant, nor was the moderating effect of government regulations, which failed to strengthen the relationship between Sharia financial technology adoption and MSME business performance.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technologies has transformed the financial landscape and created new opportunities for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to improve their access to financial services and enhance business performance. This study aims to systematically review the existing literature on digital financial inclusion, FinTech adoption, and SME performance to identify major research trends, synthesize empirical findings, and propose future research directions. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework. Relevant articles published between 2015 and 2025 were collected from reputable academic databases, including Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Emerald Insight, SpringerLink, Taylor & Francis, and MDPI. A total of 20 selected studies were analyzed using thematic synthesis techniques. The findings reveal that digital financial inclusion and FinTech adoption significantly contribute to SME growth, operational efficiency, financial accessibility, innovation capability, and business sustainability. Digital financial inclusion enables SMEs to overcome traditional financing barriers by facilitating access to digital financial services, while FinTech adoption improves financial management, transaction efficiency, and alternative financing opportunities. Furthermore, the review highlights the important roles of financial literacy, technological readiness, organizational capability, and government support in promoting successful digital finance adoption. Despite these benefits, challenges such as digital literacy limitations, cybersecurity risks, technological infrastructure constraints, and regulatory uncertainties continue to impede broader implementation. The study also identifies several research gaps, particularly regarding the integration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and big data analytics within SME financial ecosystems. The findings provide valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, financial institutions, and business practitioners seeking to promote sustainable SME development through digital financial transformation.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital technologies has transformed how cultural heritage is preserved, represented, and commercialized in contemporary markets. This study aims to systematically map research trends concerning the digitalization of cultural heritage and its implications for local product marketing during the 2020–2025 period. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach guided by the PRISMA framework, 25 Scopus-indexed journal articles were analyzed to identify dominant themes, methodological patterns, and emerging research directions. The findings reveal four major thematic clusters: digital transformation and cultural governance, digital marketing and MSME competitiveness, cultural identity and consumer psychology, and technological innovation through artificial intelligence and immersive media. The results indicate that digitalization enhances market reach and engagement for culturally embedded local products; however, sustainable competitiveness depends not only on technological adoption but also on authenticity, narrative coherence, and institutional readiness. Emerging trends show increasing integration of AI and immersive technologies, stronger alignment with sustainability discourse, and growing cross-national comparative studies, while longitudinal and multi-level governance research remains underdeveloped. This study contributes by integrating fragmented research streams into a multidimensional analytical framework that connects cultural preservation with digital market performance. The findings provide theoretical advancement and practical insights for policymakers, cultural institutions, and local enterprises seeking to balance technological innovation with cultural integrity in digital marketplaces.

Abstract

Market structure significantly affects price manipulation and economic efficiency. From an Islamic perspective, market structures should allow freedom but remain bound by rules that uphold responsibility and justice. Among the four primary market forms—perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly, and monopolistic competition—the perfect competition market is deemed most ideal as it fosters balanced and efficient economic activity, aligning with Islamic principles of fairness. Sharia governance is crucial for ensuring that Islamic financial institutions (IFIs) adhere to Islamic laws, avoiding prohibited practices like riba and maintaining the halal nature of profits. This research, using descriptive analysis, examines the market structure in Islam and the Sharia governance model of Islamic Financial Institutions (LKS) within Indonesia's legal framework. The study, through literature reviews and legal document analysis, finds that Indonesian regulations comprehensively address Sharia governance, outlining aspects such as regulation, organizational structure, processes, and functions, thereby ensuring adherence to Sharia principles and promoting ethical financial practices.
