Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra saat ini yaitu produksi sampah anorganik meningkat pesat. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu membentuk kelompok pengumpul sampah anorganik skala rumah tangga, memberikan edukasi pelatihan pemilahan sampah dan perencanaan kegiatan bank sampahselanjutnya. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah œPre Test Post Test Design. Pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku diukur sebelum dan  sesudah pelatihan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji paired t-test dan uji wilcoxon. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan memberikan edukasi mengenai sampah, focus group discussion (FGD), pelatihan pemilahan sampah rumah tangga, serta pre-post. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh edukasi terhadap pengetahuan (p-value: 0,968), sikap (p-value: 0,256) dan perilaku (p-value: 0,109)  peserta sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Hasil edukasi penyuluhan menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh terhadap pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku warga mitra. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kesadaran dari warga belum ada untuk memilah dan mengolah sampah anorganik menjadi lebih bernilai ekonomi

Abstract

Community diagnosis is an activity to determine the existence of a problem by collecting data on the community. Community diagnosis is an activity to explore the main issues faced by the community based on existing facts and take strategies and follow-up plans to resolve these problems. The study aimed to determine the description of health problems through community diagnosis in Dukuh Demangan, Sewon District, Bantul Regency. The method used in this research is quantitative andqualitative. The study design used in implementing the Field Learning Experience is adescriptive study. After determining the priority of the problem using the Hanlon method. The result shows that hypertension is the priority of health problems in Dukuh Demangan.

Abstract

Aromatic citronella contains highly bioactive components that are easily degraded during processing and storage. Their stability decreases due to heat, light, and oxygen exposure. Encapsulation is one method to maintain the stability of bioactive components. This study aims to determine the content of protein, solubility, and water holding capacity (WHC) of aromatic citronella extracted and encapsulated by various maltodextrin concentrations and foam mat drying temperatures of catfish bone powder. The experimental design in this study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors. Temperature variations in this study were 70°C and 80°C, and maltodextrin concentrations were 10% and 15%. Statistical analysis was performed with two-way ANOVA and continued with the DMRT (Duncan's Multiple Range Test) test at the significance level α = 5%. Total protein of encapsulated aromatic citronella extract on catfish bone powder ranged from 17.24-27.34%, solubility ranged from 34.53-55.64%, and WHC ranged from 4.49 – 43.03%. Maltodextrin concentration significantly affected protein content and WHC. Drying temperatures significantly affected the solubility of catfish bone powder with the addition of encapsulated aromatic citronella.

Abstract

High blood sugar levels are a sign of impaired metabolism in the body. High blood sugar levels with clinical symptoms are the cause of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The aim of the study was to determine the risk factors for blood sugar levels based on community participation through early detection and monitoring of the main risk factors for non-communicable diseases at POSBINDU in the city of Yogyakarta. Data were obtained from the Non-Communicable Disease Information System (NCD-IS) of the Yogyakarta City Health Office in January - June 2022. The study was conducted with a case-control study (cases to controls ratio 1:2) with matched by sex and age group. Cases are people who have blood sugar levels ≥200 mg/dL as many as 169 people. Controls were people with blood sugar levels <200 mg/dL, with a total of 338 people. The analytical test used was the Chi-square test. Physical activity was significantly associated (p-value 0.009; 95% CI 0.55 – 0.91). There is a relationship between lack of physical activity and with the incidence of abnormal blood sugar levels. Lack of physical activity affects blood sugar levels to be abnormal.
