Abstract

Science in the Qur'an is a field of study that explores and analyzes Qur'anic verses related to knowledge and natural phenomena. The Qur'an as a holy book in Islam, not only serves as a spiritual guide, but also contains knowledge that is relevant to various aspects of life. There are so many verses of the Qur'an that contain information about the universe, astronomy, geography, biology, physics, and many other Qur'anic verses. The Qur'an gives an overview of the creation of the universe, the laws of nature, and the relationship between man and nature. In addition, the Qur'an also contains information about moral, psychological, and social ethics. The Qur’an is also a guide for humans in creating harmonious relationships in everyday life. The study of science in the Qur'an can provide a deeper understanding of the relationship between religion and science in Islam. This can help in developing a holistic and comprehensive perspective in understanding the universe and the role of humans in it. However, it is important to remember that the interpretation and understanding of Qur'anic verses needs to be done carefully taking into account the historical, linguistic, and cultural context. Science in the Qur'an must be seen as an ever-evolving field of research that requires an objective scientific approach. By studying science in the Qur'an, we can extract valuable and profound information about the universe from life as well as enrich our understanding of the relationship between religion and science

Abstract

Student interest in astronomy has often been reported as relatively low due to the abstract nature of its concepts, reliance on mathematical reasoning, and the dominance of English-language resources, which collectively reduce motivation and engagement. This condition underlines the urgency of developing innovative learning media that not only deliver content but also actively stimulate curiosity and participation. The present study aimed to develop and validate interactive learning media for the fundamental astronomy course at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara by utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint integrated with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Employing a Research and Development approach based on the ADDIE model, the research was limited to the analysis, design, and development stages, followed by expert validation. The developed media incorporated hyperlink navigation, animations, three-dimensional models, and randomized quizzes with automated scoring and feedback. Validation results indicated that the product achieved an average score of 90.3% from media experts and 96.8% from material experts, both categorized as very valid according to established criteria. These findings confirm the reliability of the product in terms of technical quality, interactivity, and content accuracy. The novelty of this study lies in repurposing a widely available platform into an advanced instructional tool by embedding VBA programming, thereby expanding the pedagogical possibilities of conventional presentation software. In conclusion, the VBA-based PowerPoint media was proven to be highly valid and holds strong potential to enhance students’ learning interest in astronomy. This research contributes to the field of physics education by providing a validated framework for developing interactive, discipline-specific digital learning resources.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di tingkat sekolah dasar kerap menemui hambatan karena banyak konsep bersifat abstrak, materi tata surya, yang sulit dipahami apabila hanya disampaikan melalui bacaan atau gambar statis. Hal ini berimplikasi pada rendahnya penguasaan konsep sekaligus menurunnya minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pemanfaatan Augmented Reality (AR) sebagai media digital interaktif dalam pembelajaran tata surya serta menelaah dampaknya terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed-method dengan rancangan studi kasus eksploratif. Subjek penelitian adalah satu kelas siswa sekolah dasar yang ditentukan secara purposif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, serta tes hasil belajar berupa pre-test dan post-test. Analisis data kualitatif dilakukan dengan teknik analisis tematik, sedangkan data kuantitatif dianalisis melalui uji normalitas dan paired sample t-test guna mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan AR. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AR dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, mempermudah pemahaman konsep tata surya, serta menghadirkan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menyenangkan. Guru merasakan kemudahan dalam penyampaian materi, sementara siswa memperlihatkan antusiasme tinggi dan pemahaman yang lebih baik setelah pembelajaran dengan AR. Hasil analisis statistik mendukung temuan kualitatif dengan menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara nilai sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran berbasis AR. AR terbukti efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar karena mampu mengatasi keterbatasan metode tradisional sekaligus relevan dengan tuntutan pembelajaran abad ke-21. Abstract

This research aims to examine the empowerment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Aek Loba Afdeling I Village through the use of social media as a marketing tool. With the rapid development of information technology, social media has become an effective platform for increasingthe visibility of MSME products and reaching wider consumers. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through interviews, observation and documentation studies. The research results show that the use of social media has hada positive impact on increasing sales of MSME products in the village. In addition, training and assistance in using social media is a key factor in the success of marketing strategies. This research concludes that empowering MSMEs through social media not only increases sales, but also builds brand awareness and customer loyalty, thereby contributing to local economic growth.

Abstract

The paper aims to explore in depth how to support children's holistic development, particularly through strengthening social-emotional aspects at Tadika Al-Fikh Orchad Malaysia. This research applies a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through three main techniques: interviews, observation, and documentation analysis. Data analysis used a qualitative descriptive analysis method consisting of three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results of the research show that the role of teachers in early childhood education has a broader scope than just teaching academic material. In Tadika Al-Fikh Orchard Malaysia, teachers act as emotional companions, role models, and facilitators in children's character building. This role is implemented through strategic approaches such as the application of teaching materials by the curriculum, Morning Circle reflective activities, emotional expression-oriented games, and stories containing moral values, showing that an approach integrated with social and emotional values can strengthen the balance of child development.

Abstract

Astronomy is a science that is very close to children's daily lives, from recognizing time, day and night, to changes in the position of celestial bodies. However, learning astronomy at the primary and secondary education levels in Indonesia is still very limited, both in terms of materials and learning media available. This study aims to test the effectiveness of Flamouria Galaksi, a visual-interactive learning media in the form of glowing clouds, in improving students' understanding and interest in learning astronomy material, especially about galaxies and nebulae. The research method used is in accordance with development research and with a simple experimental approach with a quantitative approach through pre-test and post-test. The results showed an increase in student understanding by 91% after the use of Flamouria Galaksi media. This media is able to turn abstract astronomy concepts into a real and fun learning experience. The interactivity and aesthetic visuals proved to encourage students' active participation and increase their interest in astronomy. These findings suggest that the use of innovative media such as Flamouria Galaksi has great potential in supporting the STEAM learning approach and can be a solution to the low astronomy literacy among Indonesian students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by developments in modern physics which show that black holes, which in classical general relativity are considered the most stable and permanent entities in the universe, actually undergo evaporation through Hawking radiation. This phenomenon has profound philosophical implications regarding the nature of physical existence, the status of information, the structure of space-time, and the direction of cosmological time. This study aims to analyze the ontological and epistemological implications of black hole evaporation in the context of micro-macro relationships, relational ontology, and the concept of time as an emergent phenomenon. This study uses a qualitative method based on literature review and conceptual analysis by integrating the perspectives of theoretical physics, philosophy of science, and modern cosmology. The results of this study show that black hole evaporation confirms that there are no physical entities that are absolute and permanent. Physical existence is more accurately understood as a relational phenomenon that depends on the interaction between space-time geometry, quantum fluctuations, and cosmic thermodynamic processes. Furthermore, the black hole information paradox can be understood as a limitation of human epistemological description, rather than an ontological loss of physical reality. This research also confirms that the direction of time is a consequence of the emergence of increased entropy in the universe. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of the phenomenon of black hole evaporation with a structural-relational ontological approach to explain physical reality as a dynamic and emergent process.

Abstract

In astronomy, there are three types of dawn. They are astronomical, nautical, and civil dawn. The sunlight is starting to appear on the east horizon when the Sun altitude is 18o below the horizon. Hence, there is a change on the sky brightness. The sky brightness can be affected by the moon phases. The sky brightness level is monitored by Sky Quality Meter (SQM). The SQM was installed upward to the zenith. There are 4 locations of measurement in Yogyakarta. The data has been collected for nine months to obtain the complete moon phases. The beginning of astronomical dawn is time when the sky brightness level is starting to decrease. The moving average algorithm was employed to determine the beginning of astronomical dawn. The time when the astronomical dawn begins is compared with the sun altitude calculation. The sun altitude calculation has been done using accurate times software. The difference of the beginning of astronomical dawn by measurement and calculation are 18.61±6.81 minutes, 19.12±3.28 minutes, 31.12±7.76 minutes, and 27.24±8.04 minutes, on the new moon (0), on the first quarter (0.25), on the full moon (0.5) and on the last quarter (0.75), respectively. The weather condition is also contributing to the results.
