Abstract

ABSTRAK Pasar Warung Macan merupakan pasar warga yang terletak di RT/RW 009/003, Desa Adirejo Kecamatan Pekalongan Kabupaten Lampung Timur. Dimana Ikatan Mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika (IMAFIS) Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro Bersama Pemuda Karang Taruna Desa Adirejo Berkolaborasi untuk selalu membantu dalam kegiatan warung macan, baik berupa tenaga maupun pikiran. Karang taruna desa merupakan tim yang sangat solid, sehingga desa adirejo merupakan salah satu desa yang dikenal aktif. Dan Terjalinnya kerjasama antar Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro yang terdiri dari dosen dan mahasiswa serta karang taruna dan masyarakat Desa Adirejo. melakukan metode pemberdayaan masyarakat secara penuh di lapangan (offline), dengan mematuhi protokol kesehatan secara ketat. Dengan metode yang kami gunakan yaitu, Survei Awal,  Identifikasi Masalah, Analisis Kebutuhan, Penyusunan Program, Strategi Pembinaan Khalayak Sasaran, Perintisaan Kemitraan, Monitoring dan Evaluasi, Loka Karya. dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat serta terwujudnya Pasar Warung Macan dengan rest area yang nyaman, photobooth yang menarik, serta spot-spot foto yang instagramable. Kata kunci : Adirejo, Karang Taruna, dan Pasar Warung MacanABSTRACTWarung Macan Market is a citizen market located at RT /RW 009/003, Adirejo Village, Pekalongan District of East Lampung Regency. Abstract

ABSTRAK Autodesk, Inc merupakan sebuah perusahaan multinasional yang bermarkas di Mill Valley, California. Didirikan pada tahun 1982 oleh John Walker dan Dan Drake. Menghasilkan berbagai macam produk perangkat lunak komputer. Perusahaan ini mempekerjakan 7.500 pekerjanya pada tahun 2012. Tujuan khusus yang akan dicapai dalam pengabdian ini adalah agar siswa-siswi mengerti dan memahami cara-cara mendapatkan licence resmi dari pihak Autodesk, sehingga mereka tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan instalasi di komputer atau laptop yang akan digunakan untuk menggambar mesin. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini dengan cara melakukan demo step by step di depan para siswa dan siswi, mereka juga bisa langsung mengikuti atau mepraktikan langsung dengan mengikuti langkah-langkah yang sedang diberikan. Kata kunci : Pelatihan,  Autodesk, Menggambar mesin ABSTRACT Autodesk, Inc. is a multinational corporation headquartered in Mill Valley, California. Abstract

Pertumbuhan penduduk dan peningkatan kebutuhan konsumsi hidup masyarakat berdampak terhadap tingginya produksi sampah. Kebiasaan masyarakat yang membuang sampah sembarangan dapat berakibat buruk terhadap kesehatan dan lingkungan. Solusi yang dapat diberikan untuk dapat mengatasi masalah ini yaitu dengan memberikan tindakan kuratif dan tindakan preventif. Kotak sampah, kerap menjadi salah satu alasan untuk membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Maka dibutuhkan kotak sampah yang dapat mempermudah dalam membuang sampah. Oleh karena itu, dikembangkan kotak sampah pintar atau smart box berbasis digital dengan memanfaatkan mikrokontroler Arduino uno. Smart box dikembangkan menggunakan sensor HC-SR04. Kotak sampah didesain dengan prinsip kerja kotak sampah dapat terbuka dan menutup secara otomatis ketika seseorang membuang sampah. Selain itu, tujuan pengembangan kotak sampah ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar fisika dalam penerapan sensor ultrasonik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan model ADDIE. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa smart box berbasis digital dinyatakan sangat layak dengan persentase kelayakan 89%. Sedangkan dari sisi hasil pemanfaatan sebagai sumber belajar fisika, respon pengguna dari guru dan siswa memiliki persentase sebesar 89% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Development of a digital-based smart box by utilizing Arduino Uno as a physics learning resource. Population growth and increasing consumption needs of people's lives impact high waste production. People's habit of littering can have a negative impact on health and the environment. The solution that can be given to overcome this problem is to provide curative and preventive measures. Trash boxes are often one of the reasons to throw trash in its place. So we need a trash box that can make garbage disposal easier. Therefore, a digital-based smart box or smart box was developed by utilizing the Arduino Uno microcontroller. The smart box was developed using the HC-SR04 sensor. The trash box is designed with the working principle that the trash box can open and close automatically when someone throws out the trash. In addition, the purpose of developing this garbage box can be used as a source of learning physics in the application of ultrasonic sensors. This study uses the ADDIE model development method. The results showed that the digital-based smart box was declared very feasible, with a feasibility percentage of 89%. Meanwhile, regarding the results of utilization as a source of learning physics, user responses from teachers and students have a percentage of 89% with very good criteria.

Abstract

Bacillus anthracis is an aerobic, gram-positive, and spore-forming Bacillus species. The most common form of anthrax infection is the cutaneous form. The infection usually develops several days after exposure to products of infected animals and manifest as a black sore with severe swelling on the skin. In this report, a 60-year-old man with a black and swollen lesion on her index finger presented in Gunung Kidul in December 2019. ELISA antibody anthrax serum was performed. The patient was then treated with antibiotics after diagnosis. This patient had a history of contact with the beef of a slaughtered sheep. The patient was treated after making a correct and rapid diagnosis and sufficient antibiotic therapy. We presented this case to update our information about cutaneous anthrax, which are become a current issue again. With appropriate management, cutaneous anthrax can heal with a good result.

Abstract

The study indicates the interferences occurred by the Kaurnese and Rejangnese students in pronouncing English sounds and the factors that affect pronunciation interference of Kaurnese and Rejangnese students in pronouncing English sounds. The respondents were ten students of the English Education Study Program. They are five Kaurnese students whose L1 is Kaurnese and five Rejangnese students whose L1 is Rejangnese. The researcher applied a qualitative approach and conducted a case study design. The instruments used to collect the data were observation by reading a list of words and interviews about factors affecting students' pronunciation interference. The result of data analysis showed that Kaurnese students had interference in pronouncing 30 sounds while Rejangnese students had interference in pronouncing 22 sounds. The data also showed that three main factors influence students' pronunciation; native language, age, and the difference in language features between English and students' native language. In conclusion, all Kaurnese and Rejangnese students had interference in pronouncing English sounds. Kaurnese language is more interference with English pronunciation than the Rejangnese language. Based on the above context, this study suggests the students practice more English pronunciation and put more attention to the native language interference. The lecturer is expected to be able to help the students to reduce the mispronounced words. The study also suggests that further researchers take special attention to this phenomenon to solve the students' problems with English pronunciation.

Abstract

When writing in English, the students of SMA 15 Padang found two obstacles. The first issue was that the teacher's approach did not motivate students to write. This challenge increased the second issue, namely the students' apathy. The pupils were unmotivated and uninterested in writing. In other words, the students were uninterested. To address the two concerns, the researcher did a classroom action research that involved five stages: developing the context, modeling and deconstructing the text, cooperative production of the text, autonomous construction of the text, and linking to relevant text. The study found that implementing a teaching and learning cycle built from a genre-based approach might improve the teaching and learning process in writing classes. This was evident from the results of a checklist observation, which revealed that virtually all pupils appreciated the manner the instructor taught and that the majority of them were engaged in their study. The questionnaire results also revealed that 96 percent of the students were interested in the teacher's method and 98.8 percent of the pupils were already engaged in learning. By recording 10 pupils in each cycle, those data were also validated to the results of the interviews. According to the interview data, the majority of the students expressed an interest in the teacher's method and writing in English. Finally, implementing a teaching and learning cycle developed from a genre-based approach might increase students' enthusiasm to write in English. Hopefully, it will be a significant contribution for the teacher and other scholars to teach and conduct research, particularly in the teaching of writing.

Abstract

ABSTRAK  Satuan pendidikan yang memilih Kurikulum Merdeka, implementasinya dapat disesuaikan dengan kesiapan masing-masing. Satuan pendidikan menentukan pilihan (pilihan 1: Mandiri Belajar/ pilihan 2: Mandiri Berubah/ pilihan 3: Mandiri Berbagi). Pimpinan Daerah Pemuda Muhammadiyah (PDPM) kota Metro memiliki anggota pemuda Muhammadiyah yang rata-rata mengabdi menjadi guru di sekolah Muhammadiyah di Kota Metro. Kondisi lapangan menunjukan bahwa belum semua guru muda di sekolah Muhammadiyah memahami penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka. Mereka banyak mengalami kesulitan dalam hal memahami CP (Capaian Pembelajaran), TP (Tujuan Pembelajaran), ATP (Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran), Modul ajar, Asesmen diagnostik Awal, Asesment sumatif dan formatif, Pelaporan Hasil belajar, dan lain sebagainya. Meskipun pemerintah telah menyediakan Platform Merdeka Mengajar melalui akun belajar.id untuk memafasilitasi guru belajar secara mandiri, namun belum mampu memfasilitasi pemhaman mereka mengenai kurikulum merdeka. Oleh karena itu, untuk memberikan penguatan pemahaman guru khususnya guru-guru Muda di sekolah Muhammadiyah kota Metro. Upaya ini dapat dilakukan melalui pemberian kegiatan Bimtek (Bimbingan Teknis) kepada guru muda muhammadiyah di Kota Metro. Tujuannya yaitu Menguatkan pemahaman tentang konsep dan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dan Menyiapkan sekolah muhammadiyah untuk mengoptimalkan komunitas belajar yang menguatkan Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Kegiatan ini mendukung pencapaian IKU 3 dosen berkegiatan di luar kampus. Hasil yang diperoleh kegiatan ini diikuti kurang lebih 476 peserta secara daring berasal dari beberapa kabupaten/kota wilayah provinsi Lampung. Luara yang diharapkan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berupa laporan, publikasi artikel pada jurnal ilmiah, publikasi kegiatan pada media massa dan video kegiatan.Kata kunci : Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka, Muhammadiyah, pendidikan ABSTRACT Educational institutions that choose the Merdeka Curriculum, its implementation can be adjusted according to their readiness. The educational institutions have three options to choose from: Option 1: Independent Learning, Option 2: Transformational Independent Learning, or Option 3: Collaborative Independent Learning. The Metro City branch of the Muhammadiyah Youth Organization (PDPM) has members who serve as teachers in Muhammadiyah schools in Metro City. The current situation indicates that not all young teachers in Muhammadiyah schools fully understand the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. They face difficulties in understanding Learning Outcomes (Capaian Pembelajaran), Learning Objectives (Tujuan Pembelajaran), Learning Objective Flow (Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran), Teaching Modules, Initial Diagnostic Assessment, Summative and Formative Assessments, Learning Result Reporting, and so on. Although the government has provided the Merdeka Mengajar Platform through the belajar.id account to facilitate self-learning for teachers, it has not been able to facilitate their understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum. Therefore, to strengthen the understanding of teachers, especially young teachers in Muhammadiyah schools in Metro City, efforts can be made through conducting Technical Guidance (Bimtek) activities for young Muhammadiyah teachers in Metro City. The objectives of these activities are to strengthen the understanding of the concept and implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and prepare Muhammadiyah schools to optimize a learning community that reinforces the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This activity supports the achievement of the third Key Performance Indicator (IKU) for faculty members to engage in activities outside the campus. The results of this activity were attended by approximately 476 participants online from several districts and cities in the Lampung province. Abstract

ABSTRAK  Pemberdayaan masyarakat di Desa Banjarrejo sebagai desa binaan dalam program pengembangan Desa Digital Sadar Sampah diawali dengan sosialisasi dan kerjasama antara Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro dengan pemerintah desa, program ini berfokus pada pengelolaan sampah berbasis teknologi dan partisipasi masyarakat. Sosialisasi dihadiri oleh berbagai kelompok masyarakat, termasuk ibu-ibu PKK/Kader Posyandu, pemuda desa, dan aparatur desa. Hasil dari analisis kesiapan masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas penduduk memiliki tingkat pendidikan setara SMA. Pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah tergolong baik. Kesadaran akan pentingnya pengelolaan sampah juga cukup tinggi. Skor yang baik dalam pemanfaatan teknologi menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat memiliki kemampuan dan kenyamanan dalam menggunakan alat-alat teknologi. Kemampuan ini penting dalam program Desa Digital Sadar Sampah yang mengandalkan platform digital. Masyarakat juga menunjukkan tingkat peran komunitas yang baik, menandakan bahwa kolaborasi dan partisipasi dalam mencapai tujuan bersama terkait pengelolaan sampah dapat diandalkan. Kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa Desa Banjarrejo memiliki landasan yang kuat untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pengembangan Desa Digital Sadar Sampah. Meskipun ada pemahaman dan keterampilan yang baik, edukasi dan dukungan terus diperlukan untuk memastikan keberhasilan dan keberlanjutan program ini. Dengan memanfaatkan potensi teknologi dan partisipasi masyarakat, Desa Banjarrejo memiliki peluang untuk menjadi contoh desa yang berkelanjutan dan sadar lingkungan melalui pengelolaan sampah yang efektif dan inovatif. Kata kunci : Desa binaan, Desa Banjarrejo, Desa Digital Sadar SampahABSTRACT Community empowerment in Banjarrejo Village is being fostered through the Garbage Awareness Digital Village development program. This initiative involves socialization and collaboration between the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) at Muhammadiyah Metro University and the village government. The primary focus of this program is on technology-driven waste management and community involvement. The socialization events have been attended by diverse community groups, including PKK/Posyandu cadres, village youth, and village officials. The findings from the analysis of community readiness indicate that the majority of the population has an education level equivalent to high school. The community's understanding and proficiency in waste management are commendable, and there is a notable level of awareness regarding the significance of waste management. The favorable score in technology utilization reveals the community's comfort and competence in utilizing technological tools. This skill is pivotal in the Waste Awareness Digital Village program, which heavily relies on digital platforms. Additionally, the community has displayed a high level of participation, demonstrating their eagerness for collaboration and joint efforts in achieving shared objectives, particularly concerning waste management. This program exemplifies that Banjarrejo Village possesses a strong foundation for community empowerment in the context of developing a Waste Aware Digital Village. Abstract

Program Penguatan Kapasitas Organisasi Mahasiswa (PPK ORMAWA) bertujuan mewujudkan kelembagaan olahraga yang memiliki kepengurusan dan rencana kerja terukur untuk mengembangkan kegiatan olahraga prestasi, meningkatkan kualitas fasilitas olahraga bola voli dan sepak bola sebagai olahraga unggulan, menjalin kerja sama dan mengembangkan pola pembinaan bidang olahraga di Desa Banjar Rejo yang mengacu pada Sport Development Index, mengembangkan dan mempromosikan Desa Banjar Rejo sebagai desa olahraga berstandar SDI, serta membentuk masyarakat Desa Banjar Rejo yang sehat. Karang Taruna dan Pemerintah Desa Banjar Rejo menjadi sasaran utama dalam program untuk membentuk karang taruna yang mempunyai kemampuan dan keterampilan dalam bidang olahraga khususnya dalam olahraga unggulan, yaitu sepak bola dan bola voli. Teknologi yang akan digunakan dalam pengembangan Desa Olahraga yaitu penggunaan apalikasi dan platform digital dan media sosial serta teknologi mesin sebagai teknologi yang membantu proses kegiatan. Kegiatan PPK ORMAWA menggunakan metode pendekatan workshop, meliputi: metode ceramah, diskusi, penugasan dan pendampingan, kolaboratif, dan tanya jawab mengenai sosialisasi pengenalan program. Keluaran peningkatan program Desa Olahraga melalui workshop yang telah dilaksanakan, yaitu meningkatkan wawasan masyarakat pada Desa Olahraga SDI serta faktor yang, semangat karang taruna dan masyarakat, dukungan dari pemerintah desa dan pemuda desa serta pelatih olahraga, menigkatkan motivasi terkait pengembangan desa olahraga, dan dukungan fasilitas dan pengakuan serta perlindungan pihak Pemerintah Desa. Dampak yang diperoleh oleh mitra dalam pengembagan Desa olahraga mencakup peningkatan fasilitas olahraga terutama olahraga unggulan, peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat, manajemen pengelolaan dan pelatihan olahraga dengan membentuk lembaga Desa yang bergerak khusus kegiatan olahraga, peningkatan prestasi olahraga serta peluang untuk berinteraksi dengan masyarakat yang bersemangat, menjalin kerjasama dengan SMA Negeri Olahraga Lampung, menyelenggarakan kompetisi olahraga unggulan, dan mempromosikan Desa Banjar Rejo sebgaia desa olahraga diberbagai media sosial.

Abstract

This study analyzed cohesion and coherence in students' essay writing in terms of (1) the types of cohesion and coherence used by students and (2) students' awareness of creating cohesion and coherence by utilizing the descriptive qualitative method. Research population was fifth semester Tadris Bahasa Inggris (TBI) students at UIN FAS Bengkulu. As a research sample, the technique of purposive sampling was used. As the subject, 29 TBI 5E students were investigated. Data were collected from an old document including essays written by students. The results were qualitatively examined using Halliday and Hasan's theory of cohesiveness, and the absolute scale served as the foundation for Bachman and Palmer's coherence rating scale. In addition, this current study results showed that students used the Halliday and Hasan coding scheme, the types of references used are R11, R12, R13, R14, R21, R22, R23, R31, R32, R33, and R34, and the types of conjunction used are C111, C121, C141, C142, C151, C152, C212, C213, C22, C232, C241, C311, C322, C351, C411, C42, C431, C445, C451, C452, C461, C481, and C5 and the types of reiteration used are L1, L2, L3, and L4. Then, students' ability to build cohesion was referenced 52.1% of the time, while conjunction was used 40.8% of the time. It was then followed by a 7.2% reiteration. Furthermore, students' ability to build coherence was on the Extensive Scale (3) and the Complete Scale (4) on average. It indicates that students have a sufficient understanding of how to construct coherence in their writing. The study's findings indicate cohesion and coherence must be emphasized in writing instruction also English teachers must be adequate in evaluating the cohesion and coherence of students' writing to improve.
