Abstract

Abstract: Students' difficulties in understanding physics subjects, especially material that often occurs in everyday life, namely work and energy, as well as limited face-to-face learning time in class (3 x 25 minutes) require students to study more independently at home or learn using the flipped classroom model. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of mobile learning media on work and energy materials on the learning outcomes of class X students in flipped classroom learning. The method used is experimental, with nonequivalent control gorub design and sampling with simple random sampling technique. The subjects of this study were class X Mia 2 as an experimental class with a total of 36 students and X Mia 4 as a control class with a total of 36 students. The test instrument used is an essay question with 10 questions. The research data were obtained from the difference in the pretest-posttest learning outcomes of the two classes. The results of the study: Testing the hypothesis using the independent sample t-test shows a value of Sig.0.001 > 0.05 and t_count (3.606) > t_table (1.994) so that it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average student learning outcomes of the experimental class and the control class. The N-gain score test shows that the use of mobile learning media in the experimental class is quite effective (58%) and the use of power point media in the control class is less effective (49%). So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the use of mobile learning media on work and energy material on the learning outcomes of class X students in flipped classroom learning. Based on the results of this study, teachers are expected to be able to choose learning media that are appropriate to the circumstances of the school environment, and students are expected to be more active and enthusiastic in learning and to be able to utilize the learning media that have been provided by the teacher so that they are able to develop their potential to achieve optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine and conclude about the readiness or unpreparedness of the fifth grade UPTD SD Negeri 2 Mekarmukti students in the new normal when viewed from their reading literacy ability. As well as knowing and concluding about the readiness or unpreparedness of the fifth grade school teacher in the new normal when viewed from the ability to adapt to technology. This type of research is a case study using a qualitative research approach. The process of collecting data using the Snowball, then the technique is packaged into a data triangulation method with the help of three instruments, namely observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data triangulation method is used by researchers to make it easier to draw conclusions obtained through the validity and saturation of the data obtained through the three data collection instruments that have been used. Based on the results of the analysis of the three instruments that have been triangulated and verified by the researcher, the fifth grade students are ready to face learning in the new normal based on the National Assessment if viewed from reading literacy. This readiness can be proven by 2 (two) of 3 (three) students, having met the indicators of reading literacy ability, namely the ability to read and students' understanding of a reading. While the last one student, does not yet have good reading literacy skills because they have not met these two indicators. Then on the ability to adapt to technology, the fifth grade teacher of the school already has the readiness to face learning in the new normal when viewed from the ability to adapt to technology. This readiness can be seen from self-knowledge of technology that is very good and has an interest in utilizing technology in the offline learning process in the classroom on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

The Teaching Campus Program is a program from the Ministry of Education and Culture that provides students with the opportunity to study outside campus and experience teaching at assigned schools. The background to this program is the low level of literacy and numeracy in Indonesia, which encourages interventions to improve the quality of elementary, middle school and vocational school education (excluding SMK PK). One of the targets of this program is SD Negeri 15 Bengkulu City. Technology adaptation is an important focus considering the rapid development of technology and the needs of students in the era of society 5.0. This program aims to increase student literacy and numeracy, introduce and utilize technology in the teaching and learning process, and enrich the learning environment through various work program initiatives. The methods used include planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation according to student abilities. The results of this program are expected to significantly improve students' literacy and numeracy skills, increase technology awareness and skills and create a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment. The implication of this program is to provide valuable practical experience for students, improve professional abilities and contribute directly to improving the quality of education in the program's target schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the extent to which High Order Thingking Skill is applied in physics learning at MA Muhammadiyah Boarding School Metro and analyze students' HOTS ability in the current 21st century learning.  In this article, the type of research used is qualitative research. The data collection stage consists of 3 stages, namely observation and interview, literature study, and data analysis stage. The data analysis technique uses data triangulation techniques by comparing 3 data sources. The results showed that physics learning at MA Muhammadiyah Boarding School Metro has been integrated with High Order Thinking Skill. This is evidenced by the use of the PjBL method. The PjBL method allows students to use reasoning to create a project. However, the application of HOTS in physics learning has not been fully successful because there are still students who have difficulty in applying formulas and working on problems.  In 21st century learning, teachers are expected to continue to improve their abilities and innovate in the application of methods, strategies, and learning media that can support students' HOTS.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of the Auditory, Intellectually, And Repetition (Air) Model on Reading Comprehension in understanding the explanation text. This study used a Quasi-Experimental research design. In this study, the sample size was 48 students, including 24 students in the experimental class (XI IPS 2) and 24 students in the control class (XI IPS 1) at SMAN 8 South Bengkulu taken by purposive sampling. The experimental class has given the treatment using the Auditory, Intellectually, And Repetition AIR Model, while the control class did not use the AIR Model. The researchers collect data by administering tests twice, namely a pretest and a post-test. Prior to administering the post-test, the researcher administered four treatments in the experimental and control classrooms using different teaching models. The instrument employed in this study was a set of 20 valid multiple-choice questions. The data from the pre-test and post-test were examined using the t-test. The learning outcomes were as follows: First, the experimental class's mean score was 37,29, whereas the control class was 40,83. And for the post-test findings reveal that the experimental class has an average value of 81.25 while the control class has an average value of 70.42. Second, the sample score of the independent T-test shows the significant value (2 tailed) is 0,000 <0.05. In other words, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. In brief, Auditory, Intellectually, And Repetition (AIR) Model can be one of effective ways in teaching reading for eleventh grade students.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is a situation where students are responsible and independent in their learning. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Minister of Education and Culture decided to switch teaching and learning activities in the classroom to an online system. This study aims to determine the level of self-directed learning independence in speaking class and the influencing factors. This study was designed as descriptive quantitative research using Likert scale questionnaires and interviews. The subjects of this study were students of SMAN 06 Bengkulu Tengah. Data analysis was carried out using the formula proposed by Sudjana to determine the percentage of students' scores. The results show that more than 64%, or half of the students, have fairly high levels of self-directed learning in the speaking class. Based on the findings and discussions, as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, the use of online learning in educational practice has gone well because students already have a fairly high level of independence.

Abstract

This study aims to increase students' interest in learning history. The learning design in this research uses the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model via Canva Media. The subjects of this research were 35 students. Data collection techniques were carried out systematically using observation sheets. Based on observations in the first cycle, students' interest in learning was included in the medium category with an average score of 4.29. In the second cycle, there was an increase in the average score obtained by students, namely 5.28 and continued with a significant increase in cycle III, namely with an average score of 6.62. With the findings and results of observations from the first cycle to the third cycle, there was a significant increase and reached the indicators set by the researcher. The results of this research prove that the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model through Canva media can increase students' interest in learning. It is hoped that these findings can become a reference for teachers to increase students' interest in learning.
