Abstract

Abstract

Songs are one form of oral literature that has the power to convey messages through language and music. So the analysis of the meaning of the lyrics of the song Atuna Tufuli popularized by Shirine was carried out using Michael Riffaterre's semiotic analysis which focuses on the analysis of poetry (song lyrics). This study aims to find the meaning of the lyrics of the song Atuna Tufuli by describing namely (1) indirectness of expression, (2) heuristic and hermeneutic reading, (3) matrix, and (4) Model and hypogram (intertextual correlation). This study is a descriptive-qualitative type of research with a semiotic approach and the lyrics of the song Atuna Tufuli as its corpus. The design used in this study is a library study (Library Research). The results show that the lyrics of Atuna Tufuli by Remi Bandali utilize indirectness of expression to convey the complex meaning of love. (1) indirectness of expression includes: (a) Displacement of meaning. (b) distortion of meaning. (c) Creation of meaning. (2) Heuristic and Hermeneutic Readings describe the expression of suppressed feelings of love. (3) The matrix of these lyrics can be identified as "the desire of children in conflict areas to have freedom and a normal life". (4) Model and hypogram (intertextual correlation), the model can be various elements that are already known to the listener or reader, such as the theme of the desire to have freedom and a normal life, as well as the call for attention and assistance for children living in conflict and violence, the style of writing lyrics, and expressions of longing that can be found in works of art, literature, and music. The hypogram in the song "Atuna Tufuli" by Remi Bandali lies in the repetition of classical themes that emphasize the desire of children to have a normal childhood and peace, which are often found in ancient Arabic poetry.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the translation methods and accuracy applied in Indonesian song lyrics translated into Arabic. The research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach, with data collected through observation and note-taking techniques. A total of 187 data items were analyzed to determine translation strategies and levels of accuracy. The findings reveal eight translation methods used in the lyrics: word-for-word translation (8 data, 4.28%), literal translation (35 data, 18.72%), faithful translation (68 data, 36.36%), semantic translation (39 data, 20.86%), idiomatic translation (10 data, 5.35%), adaptation (3 data, 1.60%), free translation (23 data, 12.30%), and communicative translation (1 data, 0.53%). The accuracy assessment shows that 47.06% of the translations are accurate, 44.92% less accurate, and 8.02% inaccurate. Based on the average score of 2.39, the translation of Indonesian song lyrics on the Markaz Arabiyah YouTube channel is categorized as less accurate, suggesting improvements are needed in precision and cultural adaptation.

Abstract

This study investigates user acceptance of Arabicapp based on morphosyntactic patterns. The application aims to support learners in recognizing verb forms and transitivity patterns, which are widely acknowledged as challenging aspects of Arabic grammar acquisition. To evaluate user acceptance, the study employed the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), examining five core constructs: Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), Attitude Toward Use (ATU), Behavioural Intention (BI), and Actual Usage (AU). A quantitative survey was administered to a diverse group of participants, including university students, lecturers, and Arabic language practitioners. Data were collected through staged evaluations and analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression techniques. The results indicate consistently high levels of acceptance across all TAM constructs, with ease of use and behavioural intention receiving the highest mean scores. However, regression analysis reveals that Perceived Usefulness significantly predicts Behavioural Intention, whereas Perceived Ease of Use does not show a statistically significant effect. This finding suggests that perceived instructional value plays a more decisive role than interface simplicity in determining adoption of morphosyntactic learning tools. Overall, the findings demonstrate that Arabicapp effectively supports Arabic grammar learning, particularly in verb identification tasks, and shows strong potential for use in both formal and non-formal instructional contexts. The study contributes to TAM-based research in language technology by highlighting that, in cognitively demanding learning environments such as morphosyntax, perceived usefulness emerges as the primary driver of user adoption.

Abstract

In the Qur'an, changes in morphological patterns (wazan) not only produce grammatical variations, but also give birth to differences in meaning. One of the most productive roots in the Qur'an is the root [س-ل-م], which gives birth to various derivations. The word سلم is often interpreted in a limited way as "peace" or "Islam". This study aims to identify all derivations  of the root [س-ل-م], classify its morphological form, and analyze its core meaning and semantic development in the translation of the Qur'an of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive design with a morpho-semantic approach. Data were collected through a documentation technique by tracing all Qur'anic verses containing derivatives of the root, then analyzed through the stages of identification, morphological classification, determination of core meaning, and contextual analysis. The results showed that the root س-ل-م (s-l-m) appeared 140 times with 16 derivative forms, dominated by the nominal form (112 data) rather than the verbal (28 data). Semantically, these roots form a network of meanings that include existential salvation, spiritual surrender, theological systems (Islam), collective identity (Muslim), social peace, and cosmic surrender. This study confirms that the concept of salvation in the Qur'an is multidimensional and linguistically structured.

Abstract

This study examines how Arabic-speaking skills in non-formal education, such as tahfidz institutions, can be improved through role-play based on dialogues from the book Al-Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik. The study aims to foster more student-centered, collaborative, and active learning at Rumah Tahfidz Asy-Syifaa Gowa, where the textbook has not yet been used optimally to support speaking practice. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) design using the Kemmis & McTaggart model was employed with 10 students. Data were collected through structured observation using a 1–5 Likert scale of eight speaking aspects (fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, structure, confidence, interaction, expression, and collaboration), student questionnaires, and documentation. Quantitative descriptive analysis showed that the mean speaking scores increased gradually from 22.6 in the pre-cycle to 31.6 in Cycle I and 35.1 in Cycle II. The percentage of students achieving the “good” category increased from 0% to 100%, with 80% of students scoring ≥32. Student responses were positive, with 90% in the “good” category. These findings suggest that role-play using Al-Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik dialogues was associated with improved Arabic-speaking skills in this classroom context. This approach offers a practical strategy for fostering active speaking practice in similar non-formal Arabic learning settings.

Abstract

The enhancement of teachers' digital competence is a strategic issue directly impacting the success of digital transformation in schools. The partner of this community service, SMAN 17 Lamuru in Bone Regency, faced constraints regarding limited digital literacy and technostress in producing independent interactive teaching materials. This program aimed to improve teachers' digital competence in developing electronic modules (e-modules) through a structured mentoring program. The execution method utilized a Blended Workshop and Coaching model based on a participatory learning approach involving 30 subject teachers. The offline intervention was conducted over two days through a combination of lecturing, live demonstration, guided practice, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD), followed by three weeks of independent mentoring. Evaluation instruments included performance observation sheets, satisfaction questionnaires, and capability tests using a 1–100 assessment scale. Data were analyzed using the parametric paired samples t-test. The statistical results indicated a highly significant improvement, where the teachers' mean score surged from 55.50 during the pretest to 83.50 in the posttest session, yielding a t-value of 34.293 with a coefficient of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. The guided participatory approach proved effective in reducing the digital divide classically and fostering teachers' self-efficacy. The program concludes that this mentoring successfully produced valid subject e-modules ready to be implemented to support a student-centered learning ecosystem.
