Abstract

The recruitment system for quality educators is an important aspect of supporting the vision and mission of the school. However, in practice, the recruitment process is sometimes far from optimal. This study examines the recruitment system for educators and education staff, as well as the supporting and hindering factors at SD Islamic Center Kota Samarinda. The method used is field research with data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews. The results show that the recruitment process at SD Islamic Center Kota Samarinda involves coordination with the foundation, preparation of guidelines, and strict selection to produce quality educators to support the school's vision and mission. Supporting factors for recruitment include coordination with the foundation, setting standards for applicants, and strict selection, while the main obstacles are applicants who do not meet qualifications and lack discipline. This study is expected to serve as a reference for the educator recruitment system, help the school and foundation improve recruitment effectiveness, and provide policy guidelines for designing a recruitment process that meets the needs of educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the discourse on social harmony in society after the 2024 General Election through social media X and Instagram. In the contemporary context, social media has become a major platform for sharing opinions, views and emotions related to political events. This analysis uses a qualitative approach by utilizing sentiment analysis techniques to understand the affection contained in posts, comments and user responses. This research focuses on identifying affective patterns that emerge and how these patterns influence social harmony in society. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide insight into post-election social dynamics and the importance of social media in shaping public narratives regarding social harmony.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam proses pendidikan, Permasalahan media pembelajaran dalam mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) yang kurang variatif. Penyebabnya karena kurangnya fasilitas pembelajaran, pendidik merasa kesulitan untuk menawarkan sumber belajar yang beragam. Selain itu, terdapat kelangkaan bahan bacaan dan guru kesulitan untuk berinovasi dalam solusi pengajaran yang efektif. Solusi yang dianggap tepat untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini adalah dengan memanfaatkan media yang bervariatif. Pemanfaatan media yang bervariatif dalam melakukan kemajuan melalui siswa mencari dan menemukan ide dengan atau dengan bantuan. Dengan adanya artikel ini dapat membantu masalah media pembelajaran yang kurang variatif karena bisa melihat strategi dan penerapannya. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini untuk mendeskripsikan (1) penyebab media pembelajaran IPS yang kurang variatif (2) Strategi Pemecahan (3) Penerapan strategi pembelajaran (4) Variasi bahan ajar IPS.

Utilization of local potential in the form of convection textile industry centers as a source of learning with the aim that learning can also take advantage of environmental aspects. the local potential of Tritunggal Village, namely the center of the textile convection industry. can increase the potential of students as an effort to develop themselves The purpose of this study is to: (1) To describe the potential of Tritunggal Village which is used as a social studies learning resource on economic activity material at Mts Ma'arif 23 Infarul Ghoy Tritunggal Lamongan (2) To describe social studies learning process on economic activity material at Mts Ma'arif 23 Infarul Ghoy Tritunggal Lamongan (3) To describe the utilization of local potential in Tritunggal Village as a support for social studies resources at Mts Ma'arif 23 Infarul Ghoy Tritunggal Lamongan This research uses a type of research approach descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. In analyzing the data using data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and the validity of the results from the Tritunggal Village research, Tritunggal Village has local potential in the form of a textile convection industry center, which is in line with economic activities in the area. Utilization of local potential as a support for social studies learning at Mts Ma'arif 23 Infarul Ghoy Tritunggal Lamongan, increasing student involvement, enthusiasm for learning, insight, and social attitudes Social studies learning by utilizing local potential runs smoothly and effectively.

Abstract

Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan perencanaan pembelajaran dengan metode outing class di SMP/MTs. Dalam dunia pendidikan, pembelajaran merupakan hal yang paling penting untuk diperhatikan. Strategi yang tepat dapat mengantarkan pembelajaran pada keberhasilan. Pembelajaran dengan metode outing class dapat ditingkatkan pada saat outing class. Dimana para siswa lebih dekat dengan sumber belajar yang sebenarnya, yaitu masyarakat, sehingga siswa dapat memahami materi berdasarkan realita yang sebenarnya terjadi. Selain dampak positif, metode outing class juga dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif, salah satunya adalah kesulitan siswa, namun hal tersebut tidak menjadi kendala utama dalam keberhasilan metode pembelajaran ini. Hal ini dapat diatasi dengan membuat kesepakatan dengan siswa di awal proses pembelajaran dan dengan mendengarkan siswa secara seksama. Tujuan dari penulisan jurnal ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) Pengertian pembelajaran outing class; 2) Manfaat metode outing class dalam pembelajaran; 3) Strategi pembelajaran outing class.

Abstract

This study aims to address the low interest in learning among students in the Social Studies subject at SMPN 1 Ngunut, caused by monotonous conventional teaching methods. The field trip method is implemented to provide direct learning experiences, linking theory to real practice. The research problem includes the influence of the field trip method on the interest in learning Social Studies among eighth-grade students. Using an associative quantitative approach, the research population consists of 386 students, with a sample of 40 students selected randomly. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicate a positive and significant influence of the field trip method on students' interest in learning Social Studies, with a strong effect of 64.2%. The t-value (7.935) exceeds the critical t-value (2.02439) with a significance level of 0.00, thus the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The correlation coefficient (R) of 0.790 indicates a strong relationship, meaning that the application of this method increases students' interest in studying Social Studies.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media in rural areas, such as Kertosono Village, has increased the duration of use of platforms such as TikTok and Instagram among teenagers to an average of 4.2 hours per day. This condition raises concerns regarding the negative impact on mental health, coupled with low digital literacy and lack of education from the surrounding environment. This study aims to determine the significant influence and large contribution of the duration of social media use to the mental health of adolescents in Kertosono Village. Using a quantitative approach with an associative research type, data were collected from 54 respondents aged 12–18 years through the GHQ-12 questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed a significant influence between the duration of social media use and adolescent mental health, with a contribution of 45.7% to their psychological condition. These findings indicate the need for interventions in the form of increasing digital literacy and education about the healthy use of social media, especially in rural areas that are experiencing accelerated digitalization.

Abstract

The Siraman Gong Kyai Pradah Tradition is a form of local wisdom in Kalipang Village, Sutojayan District, Blitar Regency, which has high historical, social, and spiritual value. This tradition has experienced a decline in the participation of the younger generation along with the development of the times and the influence of globalization. This study aims to describe the role of historical values ​​in increasing the awareness of the younger generation towards preserving traditions, analyzing preservation efforts made by various parties, and describing the responses of the younger generation to the tradition. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation of various informants, including caretakers, community leaders, village officials, and the younger generation. Data analysis was carried out through the process of condensation, presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the study show that historical values ​​have an important role in fostering cultural awareness of the younger generation. Preservation efforts are carried out through cultural education, active involvement of the younger generation in traditional events, and support from the government and the community. Despite challenges such as rational thinking and lack of interest from the younger generation, this tradition still survives thanks to community solidarity and awareness of the importance of preserving local culture.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of talking stick learning model on students' self-confidence in geography class X SMAN 1 Srengat Blitar. This study used a quantitative approach of quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study was selected using purposive sampling technique with 34 students in the control class and 34 students in the experimental class. The data in this study were obtained through the results of students' self-confidence questionnaire scores which were analyzed by the Independent Sample T-test and Effect size test. From the results of this study, it can be seen that the talking stick learning model has an effect on student confidence as evidenced by the acquisition of a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05. This study shows that the implementation of the talking stick model can increase students' active participation in learning which can then increase students' self-confidence.

Abstract

Based on a number of variables, including inadequate reading awareness, this study demonstrates how the use of literacy culture impacts learning outcomes in social studies courses, resulting in less than ideal learning outcomes. 38 students make up the sample for this quantitative investigation. Finding out how the implementation of literacy culture affects student learning results and how much of an impact it has on the learning outcomes of class VII students at MTSN 10 Blitar are the goals of this study. ‎ According to the study's findings, the T-test yielded a Sig value of 0.000 ‎‎<0.05, indicating a significant relationship between the application of literacy culture and learning outcomes in social studies courses. The impact of literacy culture on learning outcomes is 17.9%. In the meantime, other factors not covered in this study have an impact on the remaining 82.1%. Together with the F-statistic analysis results of 0.031 ‎‎<0.05, it can be said that student learning outcomes are statistically impacted by literacy culture. ‎
