Abstract

Co-working spaces, which were initially favored by freelancers and startups, are now starting to be eyed by students as a suitable place for alternative learning. This study involved a sample of Postgraduate students at the Masters and Doctoral levels from one of the Universities in Bandung. The purpose of this study was to see what students wanted from a collaborative workplace or co-working space as an alternative learning place. The data collected includes student preferences for facilities, atmosphere, and time flexibility offered by co-working spaces. The results of the study show that students in the midst of their busy learning activities really need a supportive place, the majority of students consider co-working spaces as a more productive place to study. This choice is influenced by several factors, including convenience, fast internet access, an environment that supports collaboration, and the existence of supporting facilities such as discussion rooms and the availability of food that can be ordered. These findings indicate that there is great potential to build a student-friendly workplace

Abstract

Humans are social creatures who need and help each other. One of them is by training prosocial behavior in school-aged children and teenagers so that they can create a good social environment, encourage personal development, and increase empathy with others. The broader category of prosocial behavior includes any form of action undertaken or planned to help another person without asking for compensation. This research aims to examine the variety of statistical analyses used in prosocial behavior research over the past five years and to analyze the dynamics of prosocial behavior across different contexts. This research is important because prosocial behavior has a positive impact on both individuals and society as a whole. Through a comprehensive literature review of previous studies, the author identifies a range of statistical methods commonly employed in prosocial behavior research, including regression analysis, path analysis, factor analysis, and multiple linear. The author also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of each statistical analysis method. The results of this research can provide guidance for researchers in choosing appropriate statistical analysis methods to use in prosocial behavior research. In addition, this research can also contribute to the development of the theory and practice of prosocial behavior.

Abstract

This study explores the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) in guidance and counseling services to address online game addiction. The researchers employed the SLR (systematic literature review) approach compiled using the PRISMA Method and scanned with Vosviewer software. The number of participants varied, with the largest number being 7129. Other numbers of participants included 2-20 subjects, 30-100 subjects, and two subjects with the least number of participants. The findings highlight that CBT, often combined with supplementary techniques, effectively reduces online game addiction by adapting strategies to individual needs. Family involvement plays a crucial role, serving as both a source of support and a potential contributing factor. Counselors frequently appoint a family member to assist in managing the counselee, and in severe cases, CBT is complemented by other therapeutic approaches or medications to address related psychological issues. Alternative therapies, such as Behavior Change Techniques (BCT), Behavior Change Strategies (BCS), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), further enhance the treatment's efficacy. This study contributes to the field by emphasizing the adaptability and impact of CBT in addressing online game addiction while calling for future research on integrating CBT with other interventions and preventive measures across diverse cultural contexts.

Abstract

The lack of science literacy and collaboration skills can hinder high school students in facing global challenges and supporting environmental sustainability actions. Therefore, developing science literacy and collaboration skills is crucial, particularly in biology education. The ASICC-SLICES model (Adapting, Searching, Interpreting, Creating, and Communicating based on Science Literacy Circles) enhances students' science literacy and collaboration skills. This quasi-experimental study, using a pretest-posttest control group design, aims to evaluate the effect of the ASICC-SLICES model on improving students' science literacy and collaboration skills and its contribution to Educational Sustainable Development. The study population consisted of tenth-grade students from a public high school in Lampung, with a sample of 70 students obtained using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The research instruments included a science literacy test, questionnaires, observation sheets for collaboration skills, and documentation. Data were analyzed using MANOVA with an α of 0.05. The results showed that the implementation of the ASICC-SLICES model significantly improved students' science literacy and collaboration skills, with n-gain scores for the experimental and control groups (sig) 0.000<0.05 (α). These findings indicate that the ASICC-SLICES model contributes positively to students' awareness and actions in supporting environmental sustainability

Abstract

The implementation of diagnostic assessments in the Independent Curriculum is a crucial step in mapping students' initial abilities and designing appropriate learning strategies. This study aims to identify obstacles to the implementation of diagnostic assessments in deep learning-based biology learning in public senior high schools in Bandar Lampung City, encompassing the planning, implementation, and follow-up stages. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of three public senior high schools, four biology teachers, and 69 tenth-grade students studying Biodiversity. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of diagnostic assessments was not optimal. Only two schools had implemented cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessments, while one school had not implemented them at all. The main obstacles lay in limited school facilities and the low level of socialization regarding the Independent Curriculum, particularly the implementation of diagnostic assessments in innovative, deep learning-oriented biology learning. However, limited understanding and institutional support remained a significant obstacle. This study recommends improving teacher training, providing supporting facilities, and implementing more systematic assessment follow-up policies

Abstract

Environmental degradation driven by low community awareness and limited sustainable practices poses a critical challenge for local development. This community engagement program aims to bridge the gap between environmental knowledge (eco-literacy) and practical action (eco-action) by empowering residents to innovate environmentally friendly products. Specifically, the program integrates eco-literacy training with hands-on technical skills in ecoprint production and the conversion of used cooking oil into eco-friendly candles. The activities, conducted in Paya Village, Pesawaran Regency, involved 60 participants, including fifth-grade elementary students, housewives, and village youth groups. A participatory action approach was implemented through three main stages: (1) socialization to enhance eco-literacy, (2) direct training on eco-product innovation, and (3) mentoring and evaluation of product quality and sustainability impact. The outcomes demonstrate a significant improvement in participants’ eco-literacy and technical competence in creating value-added eco-products, utilizing leaf and flower waste for ecoprint designs and used cooking oil for aromatic candles. Beyond waste reduction, the initiative fostered alternative income opportunities and reinforced intergenerational collaboration between youth and adults. The novelty of this program lies in its dual integration of eco-literacy education and product innovation through intergenerational learning, advancing previous community service models that typically focused on either environmental education or product-based empowerment. This approach highlights the transformative potential of linking environmental awareness with entrepreneurial sustainability and recommends replication in other community-based economic–ecological resilience programs.
