Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems have an important role in maintaining the balance of the coastal environment. However, its existence is increasingly threatened by human activities and climate change. Effective monitoring and preservation of mangrove ecosystems is crucial. Kota Pari Village, with its mangrove potential, needs an innovative system to support these efforts. Therefore, this study aims to develop a QR Code-based Mangrove Monitoring Information System application "SIPEMANG". This application is designed to facilitate monitoring mangrove conditions, collecting data on mangrove species, and involving the community in mangrove conservation. Community involvement is not only the community around the village of Pari City but through the application can reach community involvement around the world. QR Codes placed on each mangrove tree allow quick access to specific information about the mangrove tree. The data collected through the application will be processed and analyzed to provide the latest information about the condition of the mangrove ecosystem in Kota Pari Village. So in addition to mangrove planters, the next important thing is to ensure that mangroves grow and develop properly. It is hoped that the SIPEMANG application can be an innovative solution in supporting the monitoring and preservation of mangrove ecosystems in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the classification of the Community Satisfaction Index (CSI) assessment of Public Service Mall (PSM) services based on the level of education using the Decision Tree algorithm. Assessment of public satisfaction with public services is very important to improve the quality of services, and educational factors can affect the perspective and assessment of the services received. The data used in this study is secondary data on Medan City SMEs collected from January to September 2023. The research process includes data collection, preprocessing, and modeling using the Decision Tree algorithm with the help of RapidMiner software. The results of the analysis showed that respondents with higher education levels, such as D3, S1/D-IV, S2, and S3, tended to give better assessments of PSM services, with most of them giving Excellent (4) and Good (3) scores. In contrast, respondents with lower education, such as high school and junior high school, gave more varied assessments, although the score of Very Good (4) was still dominant in most respondents. This study suggests that PSM managers consider educational factors in designing and improving the quality of public services to meet the diverse expectations of society. Further research can explore other factors that affect community satisfaction, such as age or user experience.

Abstract

Kota Pari Village has a strategic coastal area but faces the challenge of degradation of mangrove ecosystems. Kota pari Village has the potential for mangrove forests that can be used as tourist attractions in coastal areas. This research aims to design a Geographic Information System (GIS) to support appropriate and sustainable mangrove planting planning. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through field observation, interviews, and spatial analysis. The research stages include collecting geographic data, mapping ecosystem conditions, analyzing land characteristics, and identifying potential zones for mangrove planting. The Geographic Information System is developed using Web-based software by considering parameters such as topography, soil type, salinity, and abrasion rate. The results of the study show that GIS has successfully identified 15 potential zones for mangrove planting with different levels of land suitability. This system is able to provide recommendations for planting locations, appropriate types of mangroves, and appropriate conservation strategies. This research makes a significant contribution to supporting mangrove ecosystem restoration efforts, sustainable development planning, and coastal area management in Kota Pari Village.

Abstract

Taxpayer compliance analysis is crucial in regional revenue management, especially for Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2). The large volume of taxpayer data poses a significant challenge in manual processing, so an automated and efficient approach is needed. This research develops a data mining pipeline to cluster the level of taxpayer compliance in the Badan Pengelola Keuangan dan Pendapatan Daerah (BPKPD) of Tebing Tinggi City. The proposed pipeline is implemented using the Java programming language and the SMILE library and includes three main procedures, namely Extraction, which is in charge of retrieving receivables and payment data from the SISMIOP database; Transformation, which is in charge of processing the extracted data to generate new insights through K-Means clustering, and Load is in charge of storing the transformation results into the MySQL database for further analysis and reporting. This pipeline is run every hour to ensure that data processing is carried out in real-time. By utilizing this automated system, this study aims to increase understanding of taxpayer compliance patterns and assist local governments in designing more effective policies to increase tax revenues and taxpayer compliance levels.

Abstract

The website of the Faculty of Computational Science and Digital Intelligence (FASANDI) at University of Pembangunan Panca Budi serves as a medium of information about the faculty profile, academics, tuition fees, facilities, and registration procedures. In order for this information to be easily accessible and understandable to users, a user experience (UX) evaluation needs to be conducted. The objective is to analyze the UX on the FASANDI UNPAB website using the Cognitive Walkthrough method with reference to usability principles. This method is used to assess how users, especially new users such as prospective students, complete key tasks on the website without external assistance. The evaluation was carried out by compiling task scenarios such as searching for study program information, viewing faculty profiles, and understanding the registration procedures linked to external portals. The analysis results show that the website has a fairly complete information structure, but several obstacles were found, such as suboptimal navigation consistency, poorly organized menu placement, and a lack of contextual clues to help users understand the flow of information access. In addition, several pages require visual rearrangement so that important elements are more easily visible.
