Abstract

Penelitian ini fokus mengembangkan modul ajar matematika kurikulum merdeka materi trigonometri SMA Fase E. Modul ajar yang dikembangkan menggunakan pembelajaran diferensiasi berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) materi trigonometri fase E. Tujuan penelitian ini menghasilkan produk yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa modul ajar pembelajaran diferensiasi berbasis PBL yang dilengkapi dengan LKPD, bahan ajar trigonometri, soal pretest dan soal posttest. Prosedur pengembangan produk yang digunakan mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi analyze, design, development, implementation dan evaluation. Modul ajar, LKPD, bahan ajar, soal pretest dan posttest bernalar kritis yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini memenuhi kriteria kevalidan dengan skor validasi berturut-turut adalah 3.77; 3.69; 3.81; 3.89; dan 3.78 dengan skala 1-4. Selain itu produk yang dikembangkan juga memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan karena hasil observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 83.3% masuk kategori sangat baik dan angket respon siswa sebesar 3.14 masuk kategori baik. Produk yang dikembangkan juga memenuhi kriteria keefektifan karena 83% tuntas secara klasikal dan peningkatan kemampuan bernalar kritis siswa berdasarkan analisis N-Gain sebesar 0.38 dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

One of the efforts to improve mathematical literacy is through differentiated and STEAM-based learning. This study aims to develop learning tools (teaching modules, LKPD, manuals and test packages) on comparison materials to improve students' mathematical literacy. This research uses the 4D model with the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. Data were collected through interviews, literature studies, observations, questionnaires, and tests. The teaching module design applies EDP for 6 JP and LKPD that facilitates process and content differentiated learning. The results of the development stage showed that the learning tools met the criteria: validity with a valid category (at least 3 on a scale of 4); practicality criteria with 87.74% of students active, and 3.68 (maximum scale of 4) learning implemented, as well as 71.67% of positive student responses; effectiveness with 79.2% of students complete learning and N-Gain 0.48 for mathematical literacy improvement. This study recommends that teachers accommodate students' learning needs and activate the classroom atmosphere using the learning tools that have been developed.

Abstract

In general, mathematics learnings conducted in the classrooms and dominated by lecture methods. This results in students having a negative attitude towards mathematics, leading to low achievement. One alternative to make mathematics learning interesting for students is to use the Outdoor Learning Mathematics Project (OLMP). This model is believed to enhance motivation and academic performance among students. This community service activity aims to sosialize the OLMP model to mathematics teachers who are members of the Mathematics Teachers' Community (MGMP) in the Southern Jember region. The activity was conducted on 3 October 2024 with 43 mathematics teachers at SMPN 3 Balung Jember. The methods used included sharing information, discussion, assignments, observation, and the distribution of questionnaires. The results of the activity were very positive, with all participants able to understand the concept and benefits of the OLMP model for enhancing student motivation and academic performance. Participants were able to develop good and varied learning plans that included contexts such as (1) buying and selling at the school canteen and cooperative, (2) collecting data on the number and types of vehicles in the school parking lot, (3) measuring the length, width, area, and perimeter of the basketball court, (4) measuring the volume of trash bins and flower pots, and (5) measuring the height of flagpoles and trees on the school grounds.  All participants gave positive feedback and suggested that this activity should be continued in the future to enhance teachers' professionalism.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical connection skills of Indonesian students, a crucial skill for effective problem-solving, where logical-mathematical intelligence is identified as an internal influencing factor. The focus of this study is to analyze and describe students' mathematical connection skills in solving Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SLSV), viewed from three different levels of logical-mathematical intelligence: high, medium, and low. As a crucial step, this study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with three eighth-grade students selected as subjects through purposive sampling based on their intelligence test results. Data on connection skills were collected through the SLSV problem-solving test and in-depth interviews. The main findings indicate a clear correlation between intelligence level and connection skills: students with high intelligence systematically met all indicators, students with medium intelligence demonstrated inconsistent connections, while students with low intelligence failed to establish meaningful connections. In conclusion, logical-mathematical intelligence fundamentally determines students' ability to connect mathematical concepts to solve problems effectively. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa di Indonesia, sebuah keterampilan krusial untuk pemecahan masalah yang efektif, di mana kecerdasan logis-matematis diidentifikasi sebagai faktor internal yang memengaruhinya. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dalam memecahkan permasalahan Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV), ditinjau dari tiga tingkatan kecerdasan logis-matematis yang berbeda: tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Sebagai langkah penting, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, di mana tiga siswa kelas VIII dipilih sebagai subjek melalui purposive sampling berdasarkan hasil tes kecerdasan. Data kemampuan koneksi dikumpulkan melalui tes pemecahan masalah SPLDV dan wawancara mendalam. Temuan utama menunjukkan adanya korelasi yang jelas antara tingkat kecerdasan dengan kemampuan koneksi: siswa berkecerdasan tinggi memenuhi seluruh indikator secara sistematis, siswa berkecerdasan sedang menunjukkan koneksi yang tidak konsisten, sementara siswa berkecerdasan rendah gagal membangun koneksi yang bermakna. Kesimpulannya, kecerdasan logis-matematis secara fundamental menentukan kemampuan siswa dalam menghubungkan konsep-konsep matematika untuk memecahkan masalah secara efektif.

Abstract

This study was conducted to describe and describe the mathematical literacy ability of students of class X IPA 1 SMA Negeri Arjasa in solving HOTS questions in terms of self-regulated learning on the material of the Three Variable Linear Equation System (SPLTV). The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. In order to determine students' mathematical literacy skills in terms of self-regulated learning, the students' self-regulated learning levels were first grouped. There are three levels of self-regulated learning, namely students with low, medium and high self-regulated learning. For each level of self-regulated learning, 1 person was selected to be the subject of the study. So that 3 research subjects were selected, namely 1 student with a low level of self-regulated learning (S1), 1 student with a moderate level of self-regulated learning (S2), and 1 student with a high level of self-regulated learning (S3). Each subject was given a HOTS test question on the material of the Three Variable Linear Equation System (SPLTV) and continued with interviews to determine the fulfillment of indicators at each level of mathematical literacy ability that could be achieved by the subject. Based on the analysis that has been done, S1 is not able to meet the four indicators at level 4 of mathematical literacy ability, S2 is only able to meet one indicator of mathematical literacy ability at level 4, and S3 is able to meet all four indicators at level 4 of mathematical literacy ability and does not reach the next level. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menggambarkan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kelas X IPA 1 SMA Negeri Arjasa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS  ditinjau  dari self-regulated learning pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Tiga Variabel (SPLTV). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi matematika siswa ditinjau dari self-regulated learning, terlebih dahulu dilakukan pengelompokan tingkatan self-regulated learning siswa. Tiga tingkatan self-regulated learning yaitu siswa dengan self-regulated learning rendah, sedang dan tinggi. Masing-masing tingkat self-regulated learning dipilih 1 orang untuk dijadikan subjek penelitian. Sehingga terpilih 3 subjek penelitian yaitu 1 siswa dengan tingkatan self-regulated learning rendah (S1), 1 siswa dengan tingkatan self-regulated learning sedang (S2), dan 1 siswa dengan tingkatan self-regulated learning tinggi (S3). Masing-masing subjek diberikan soal tes HOTS pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Tiga Variabel (SPLTV) dan dilanjutkan dengan wawancara untuk mengetahui pemenuhan indikator pada setiap level kemampuan literasi matematika yang dapat dicapai oleh subjek. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan S1 tidak mampu memenuhi keempat indikator pada level 4 kemampuan literasi matematika, S2 hanya mampu memenuhi satu indikator kemampuan literasi matematika pada level 4, dan S3 mampu memenuhi keempat indikator pada level 4 kemampuan literasi matematika dan tidak mencapai level berikutnya.

Abstract

This Student Worksheet were structured and developed for grade sevenon Social Arithmetic and its used in flipped classroom blended learning. This Student Worksheetwas designed like an android application with codular. The purpose of this research is to develop social arithmetic worksheet which is valid, practical and effective for grade seven in flipped classroom blended learning. The development model used in developing this studentworksheets is Four D Model. Methode for conducting this research is the observation method to see the effectiveness and practically, the test method and questionnaire method used to see the effectiveness of student worksheet. The results of this study are the results of the Student Worksheet validation score that meet the valid criteria (3.6 out of 4.00) based on the results of the validator. This Student Worksheet obtained a very good conclusion and was declared practical (94.73%) based on observations of teacher activities. Student Worksheets with the subject of social arithmetic and their used in the flipped classroom blended learning is categorized as effective based on student test results (100%), observations of student activities (96.88%) and student response results (100%).

Abstract

Students often feel reluctant to work on worksheets given by teachers because of their unattractive appearance, monotony, and only consisting of material or a collection of questions that do not guide students to find the concept of the material. This makes learning boring and meaningless. Therefore, a development research was conducted on student worksheets using a blended learning model of the flipped classroom type on the material of the system of two linear equations in grade VIII. The purpose of this research is to determine the process and results of developing student worksheets using a blended learning model of the flipped classroom type on the material of the system of two linear equations in grade VIII. The design of the student worksheet in this research is based on the 4-D development model which consists of 4 stages, namely the defining stage (define), design (design), development (develop), and dissemination (disseminate). The development results show that the student worksheets are valid with an average total validity of 3.96; practical with a percentage of learning implementation of 97.06% stated as good; and effective with a percentage of student activity of 90.38% stated as very active, student response questionnaire of 96.08% stated as positive, and a percentage of student mastery of 86.96% stated as classically complete. ABSTRAKSiswa kerap kali enggan mengerjakan lembar kerja siswa yang diberikan oleh guru karena tampilannya yang tidak menarik, monoton, dan hanya terdiri atas materi atau kumpulan soal yang tidak menuntun siswa untuk menemukan konsep materi. Hal tersebut membuat pembelajaran menjadi membosankan dan kurang bermakna. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian pengembangan lembar kerja siswa menggunakan model blended learning tipe flipped classroom pada materi sistem persamaan linier dua variabel kelas VIII. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui proses dan hasil pengembangan lembar kerja siswa dengan model blended learning tipe flipped classroom pada materi sistem persamaan linier dua variabel kelas VIII. Rancangan lembar kerja siswa pada penelitian ini berdasarkan model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (disseminate). Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan lembar kerja siswa valid dengan rata-rata total validitas 3,96; praktis dengan presentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran 97,06% dinyatakan baik; dan efektif dengan presentase keaktivan siswa 90,38% dinyatakan sangat aktif, angket respon siswa 96,08% dinyatakan positif, dan presentase ketuntasan siswa 86,96% dinyatakan tuntas secara klasikal.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students' difficulties in understanding mathematical concepts in the material of quadrilaterals and triangles. Therefore, researchers developed a teaching module to make it easier for students to understand mathematical concepts that suit student characteristics based on the ethnomathematics of typical batik found in the school environment. The aim of this research is to develop ethnomathematics-based teaching modules that are valid, practical, and effective. This research uses the Plomp development model. The subjects used in the trial class were class VIII B SMPN 1 Arjasa, using the random sampling method. Based on the results of the research analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) The ethnomathematics-based teaching module developed is valid, practical, and effective; 2) The teaching module that has been developed can help students understand the concept of flat shapes with a student completion percentage of 83.33% as well as student responses who are interested and happy to use the teaching module. The teaching module that has been developed can be used in mathematics learning for class VII middle school. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika pada materi segiempat dan segitiga. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mengembangkan modul ajar untuk memudahkan siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa berdasarkan etnomatematika khas batik yang terdapat di lingkungan sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul ajar berbasis etnomatematika yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp. Subyek yang digunakan pada kelas uji coba adalah kelas VIII B SMPN 1 Arjasa, dengan menggunakan metode random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Modul ajar berbasis etnomatematika yang dikembangkan valid, praktis dan efektif; 2) Modul ajar yang dikembangkan dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep bangun datar dengan persentase ketuntasan siswa sebesar 83,33% serta respon siswa yang tertarik dan senang menggunakan modul ajar. Modul ajar yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas VII SMP.

Abstract

The concept of mathematical material is still not fully embedded in students' schemes, this means that errors occur in constructing the concept. This research aims to describe the actual situation regarding pseudo-construction errors that occur at the APOS (Action, Process, Object, and Scheme) stages. This research involved 28 students in class VIII A of SMPN 2 Silo Jember as subjects through problem solving test to get an comprehensive information about occuring errors. Then by the purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques, two subjects are choosen to explore in depth through interview. The data valiadation is guarantee through the member check process. Data analysis includie data condensation, data presentation, and concluding. The results of the research are that pseudo-construction errors occur at every stage of APOS which results in the concept not being fully constructed in the student's scheme. As a recommendation, developing a mathematics learning model based on APOS theory to minimize the error is needed such that the concepts will be well and completely constructed in students' schemes. Konsep materi matematika masih belum sepenuhnya tertanam dalam skema siswa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi kesalahan dalam mengkonstruk konsep. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan atau mendeskripsikan keadaan yang sebenarnya terkait kesalahan konstruksi semu yang terjadi pada tahapan APOS (Aksi, Proses, Objek, dan Skema). Penelitian ini melibatkan 28 siswa kelas VIII A SMPN 2 Silo Jember sebagai subjek melalui tes pemecahan masalah untuk mendapatkan informasi komprehensif tentang kesalahan yang terjadi. Kemudian dengan teknik purposive sampling dan snowball sampling, dipilih dua subjek untuk dieksplorasi secara mendalam melalui wawancara. Validasi data dijamin melalui proses member check. Analisis data meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yaitu kesalahan konstruksi semu terjadi disetiap tahapan APOS yang mengakibatkan konsep tidak terkonstruk dengan utuh dalam skema siswa. Sebagai rekomendasi, perlu dikembangkan model pembelajaran matematika berbasis teori APOS untuk meminimalkan kesalahan agar konsep-konsep dapat terkonstruksi dengan baik dan lengkap dalam skema siswa.
