Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology, globalization, and the increasing intensity of business competition in recent years have made internal environment analysis an increasingly crucial aspect in determining an organization’s competitive advantage. This article aims to comprehensively synthesize the concepts and applications of internal environment analysis, including resources and capabilities, value chain analysis, core competencies, and SWOT analysis in the context of modern business. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining 30 scientific articles obtained from Google Scholar, SINTA, and accredited journals within the 2021–2026 period. The selection process was carried out through stages of screening titles, abstracts, and full texts based on predetermined inclusion criteria. The synthesis results indicate a shift from partial internal analysis approaches toward more integrative approaches, where organizational success is determined by the ability to manage resources, optimize the value chain, and develop core competencies that are adaptive to external environmental changes. In addition, SWOT analysis remains a dominant tool; however, it tends to be static and requires data-driven development. This article concludes that the integration of traditional approaches with the utilization of digital technology is key to enhancing the effectiveness of internal environment analysis in the modern business era.

Abstract

The increasing dynamics of the business environment driven by globalization, digitalization, and economic uncertainty have intensified the complexity of strategy implementation within organizations. The high rate of implementation failure indicates a significant gap between strategic planning and execution. This study aims to analyze and synthesize the key factors influencing strategy implementation through the integration of organizational structure, strategic leadership, organizational culture, resource allocation, and management control systems. This research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using data sourced from Google Scholar, SINTA-indexed journals, and other accredited publications within the 2020–2025 period, with a total of 25 selected articles analyzed using thematic synthesis. The findings reveal that successful strategy implementation is not determined by a single variable but by the synergy among organizational elements, where strategic leadership and organizational culture act as primary drivers, while organizational structure and management control systems function as operational enablers. Furthermore, appropriate resource allocation strengthens the overall effectiveness of strategy implementation. These findings indicate that an integrative and system-based approach is essential for enhancing the success of strategy implementation in modern organizations.

Abstract

Digital transformation has shifted the paradigm of strategic management from a conventional approach to one that is more adaptive, innovative, and technology-based, particularly in the context of entrepreneurship and MSME development. This article aims to analyze the development of strategic management studies based on digital transformation and entrepreneurship, as well as to identify trends, key findings, and research gaps that remain open. The research uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, examining 25 scholarly articles sourced from Google Scholar and SINTA within the 2020-2025 timeframe. The selection process was based on inclusion and exclusion criteria that emphasize topic relevance, publication timeliness, and the quality of peer-reviewed journals. The synthesis results show that digital transformation plays a significant role in improving operational efficiency, expanding market reach, strengthening innovation, and creating sustainable competitive advantages. Key factors influencing successful strategy implementation include digital capabilities, strategic innovation, organizational culture, regulatory support, and the readiness of infrastructure and human resources. However, most studies are still conceptual and lack strong empirical testing. This article concludes that the success of strategic management in the digital era heavily depends on an organization’s ability to integrate technology, innovation, and sustainability holistically to respond to increasingly complex business environment dynamics.

Abstract

Rapid changes in the global economy and technological disruption require companies to continuously adapt to a dynamic external environment. This article aims to comprehensively examine the use of PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces, and SWOT methods in business strategy analysis in Indonesia over the last five years. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, articles published between 2021 and 2026 were collected from Google Scholar, SINTA, and Garuda databases, with a total of 25 articles analyzed. The main findings of this review indicate that although PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces, and SWOT remain relevant, these methods are often applied separately without adequate integration. This study highlights the need for a more holistic and integrative approach in analyzing external factors that influence business strategies. The article suggests that companies should combine these three methods to obtain a more comprehensive perspective and achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

Technological fluctuations and changes in government policies have created significant challenges for organizations in formulating relevant and adaptive strategies, particularly regarding vision, mission, and strategic goals. This article aims to examine how these three elements should be adapted to continuously evolving external factors, such as technological advancements and government policies. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study analyzed 25 selected articles obtained from the Google Scholar and Emerald Insight databases. The findings reveal that organizations that successfully integrate external factors into their vision, mission, and strategic goals tend to be more effective in formulating responsive and flexible strategies. The study also highlights the importance of developing more dynamic strategic formulations, especially in addressing digital transformation and uncertainties in government policies. The main findings of this review indicate that organizations must pay greater attention to external factors in their strategic planning in order to survive and grow in an increasingly complex environment.

Abstract
