Abstract

Palm oil is a very important commodity besides oil and gas which also has a fairly good export value. The palm oil produced must be supported by the quality standards set by SNI. The level of maturity when harvesting oil palm fruit greatly influences the quality of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) production, which is crude palm oil that has a reddish color obtained from extraction or from the pressing process of oil palm fruit flesh. In fact, in the field of oil palm fruit harvest, there are still many oil palm fruit that are not ripe enough and can even be said to be still raw, entering the CPO production process. Determination of the maturity level of oil palm fruit is generally determined based on the amount of loose fruit and color, so handling the harvest of oil palm fruit is an important activity in improving the quality of CPO. It is necessary to build a system capable of managing and processing palm fruit images to measure the maturity level of the palm fruit to be produced. To obtain the right level of accuracy, this research uses the Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ) method. LVQ is a method for conducting supervised competitive layer learning. From the results of trials conducted, it is proven that the system can measure very ripe oil palm fruit with HSV values (0.052209; 0.896021; 0.791114).

Abstract

Penerapan IT Governance menjadi salah satu faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan Sistem Informasi Manajemen (SIM) di berbagai organisasi. Dalam era digital saat ini, kebutuhan akan tata kelola teknologi informasi yang baik semakin penting untuk menjamin keberlangsungan operasional, peningkatan kualitas layanan, serta pencapaian tujuan strategis organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana penerapan IT Governance berpengaruh terhadap efektivitas pengelolaan SIM. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan survei terhadap beberapa organisasi yang telah menerapkan IT Governance dengan mengacu pada kerangka kerja seperti COBIT dan ITIL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya penerapan IT Governance yang terstruktur mampu meningkatkan efisiensi proses bisnis, kualitas pengambilan keputusan berbasis data, serta meningkatkan kepercayaan pengguna terhadap sistem yang digunakan. Selain itu, IT Governance juga terbukti dapat meminimalisir risiko kegagalan sistem dan meningkatkan kepatuhan terhadap standar maupun regulasi yang berlaku. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan IT Governance memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap efektivitas pengelolaan SIM, khususnya dalam mendukung tercapainya visi, misi, dan tujuan organisasi secara lebih optimal.

Abstract

Wood is the main element that determines the quality of a furniture product or other wooden crafts. Furniture was originally a wood carving craft industry, so that the furniture products produced emphasize the artistic aspect (carvings). The lack of knowledge of furniture companies and laypeople in this industry results in difficulties in determining the decision to choose wood to be used as a material for good and quality furniture crafts. Determining the quality of wood for furniture crafts needs to be strengthened by the increasing needs of the furniture industry. This industry has a high demand for quality wood raw materials to produce durable and aesthetic furniture products. Therefore, determining the quality of wood is crucial in ensuring the success of production and customer satisfaction..

Abstract

In the context of both public organizations and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), inefficient business processes remain a significant challenge. Fragmented information systems often hinder the optimization of these processes, leading to slower decision-making, redundant efforts, and increased operational costs. This study aims to analyze and optimize business processes by utilizing integrated information systems (IIS), providing a comparative analysis between the two sectors. The theoretical framework explores key theories such as Business Process Management (BPM) and the integration of information systems for process optimization. Previous studies highlight the differences in how IIS implementation impacts the public and SME sectors, noting challenges such as data silos, legacy systems, and resistance to change. A case study analysis methodology was employed to assess the effectiveness of IIS across both sectors. Business Process Modeling (BPMN) was used to visualize business processes before and after optimization, and process performance was measured through key metrics such as time reduction, error rates, and cost efficiency. The results show that IIS integration improved business process efficiency by an average of 28%, with reductions in redundancy and faster decision cycles observed in both sectors. Public organizations benefited from enhanced service delivery and better resource management, while SMEs gained competitive advantages through streamlined operations and increased responsiveness to market demands. The comparison reveals that integrated systems had a greater operational impact than traditional isolated process reengineering methods. Public organizations faced more regulatory and governance challenges, while SMEs leveraged their flexibility for faster integration. Recommendations for both sectors include focusing on overcoming barriers such as resistance to change and investing in system modernization. Future research should explore the long-term effects of IIS integration and further sector-specific comparisons.
