Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand how the management of education functions and how the school recognizes and maximizes each student's potential. With an interactive qualitative approach and a case study format, this study employs a qualitative descriptive method. Employing observation, interviewing, and documenting techniques to gather research data. According to the study's findings, education management is carried out in accordance with eight national education standards, including those for content, graduation, processes, facilities and infrastructure, management, financing, assessment, and educator and education staff. Every student is unique and has varied potential, according to school administration. Additionally, it is consistent in implementing a multiple intelligence system in which every student goes through the stages of Multiple Intelligences Research (MIR), which is research carried out by a team to discover the type of intelligence or potential possessed by each student. By knowing this type of intelligence, teachers can apply teaching techniques or strategies that are suitable for students' learning preferences. In order for each child to develop in accordance with his or her talents and interests.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations at SMP Negeri 6 Kerinci, it is necessary to have meaningful learning that is able to involve students in all the activities carried out in the learning. The flipped classroom model is an alternative in the successful implementation of the independent curriculum. Besides that, the low student learning outcomes in learning and student learning activities need to be activated, this can be seen from the completeness of student learning which only reaches less than 45% and many student scores are below the KKM. role playing models in learning. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) which consists of Pre-cycle, Cycle I, Cycle II and Cycle III. Each cycle ends with an evaluation. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out then the findings are analyzed in the field so that it can be concluded that the use of the flipped classroom model in increasing student learning activities for the development of an independent curriculum can increase student learning activities at SMP Negeri 6 Kerinci.

Abstract

The problem of vehicle routing with capacity is a combinatorial optimization problem that is included in the NP-Hard category. In this article, we suggest an artificial bee colony algorithm, which is a technique inspired by the clever behavior of bees in searching for food sources. To achieve the best outcomes, the artificial bee colony algorithm will be developed in conjunction with other algorithms. To determine how well the artificial bee colony method handles the issue of optimizing vehicle routes with capacity, eight distinct benchmark problems will be completed and then contrasted with other algorithms. The output of this research is a matrix showing the sequence of vehicle routes formed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis video untuk meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar peserta didik. Melalui pendekatan studi literatur, analisis mendalam dilakukan terhadap literatur yang relevan dengan tujuan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis video memiliki potensi yang besar dalam meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar. Video mampu mengaktifkan sensori visual dan auditori peserta didik, merangsang minat terhadap materi pelajaran, dan memperkuat pemahaman konsep. Faktor-faktor keberhasilan meliputi desain video yang menarik, kualitas konten, dan integrasi dengan interaksi aktif dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu, penyesuaian dengan karakteristik peserta didik dan pengembangan materi yang relevan juga sangat penting. Dalam konteks pendidikan modern, rekomendasi yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini berpotensi memberikan panduan praktis bagi pendidik dan pengambil keputusan dalam memanfaatkan media pembelajaran berbasis video secara optimal untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

Every area of life, including the learning process, has been impacted by the growth of the 21st-century world, which is characterized by the use of information and communication technology in all facets of daily life. Every field of work requires changes in competence and skills as a result of developments. Critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork are crucial skills for success in the twenty-first century. Schools must be equipped to prepare kids for life in the twenty-first century. The goal of all teaching and learning activities in schools must be to prepare students with the skills needed for the twenty-first century. The capacity for learning expands and becomes resourceful. Because of advancements made in the 21st century, learning has become more dynamic. The educational system must therefore be able to address all of the difficulties and skill requirements of the 21st century. As a result, education must plan out its educational programs through the curriculum that pupils will be taught. The curriculum is everything that pupils will learn in order to accomplish a particular objective. To accommodate all available skills and obstacles, curriculum changes are implemented. Responding to the demands of the twenty-first century presents exceedingly complicated issues for the curriculum. The curriculum is modified appropriately to meet these requirements and challenges. The actual challenge is staying on course with the vision, mission, and goals of national education. Consequently, a curriculum that can both internally and externally address the needs of the 21st century is required.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the successful implementation of project-based learning model in mathematics learning at university level. Literature studies and field observations were conducted to evaluate the implementation of project-based learning models in several higher education institutions. The results showed that the implementation of project-based learning model in mathematics learning in higher education has positive impacts, among others: 1) increasing students‘ active involvement and motivation in the learning process, 2) developing mathematical competence, critical thinking skills, and other 21st century skills, 3) encouraging meaningful and contextualised learning, and 4) improving students’ collaboration and communication skills. However, there are some challenges in its implementation, such as: lecturer readiness, resource availability, and curriculum adjustment. The implication of the results of this study is the need for innovative mathematics curriculum development, increased lecturer competence, and adequate institutional support to optimise the implementation of project-based learning in higher education. This study provides valuable insights for mathematics education practitioners in designing and implementing student-centred learning oriented towards the development of 21st century competencies.

Abstract

Kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman peserta didik mengenai aljabar cukup rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana manfaat alat peraga papan aljabar dalam menyelesaikan operasi hitung aljabar bagi siswa. Subyek penelitian terdiri dari lima peserta didik kelas VII salah satu SMP di DIY. Pengumpulan data melalui lembar observasi, lembar wawancara, lembar kerja peserta didik, dan tes akhir. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Diperoleh hasil bahwa alat peraga papan aljabar merupakan salah satu alat yang bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap operasi hitung aljabar. Alat peraga ini juga sebagian besar dijadikan sebagai alat kalkulasi untuk memudahkan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal operasi hitung aljabar. The reality in the field shows that students' understanding of algebra is quite low. The purpose of this research is to find out how the algebra board teaching aids are useful in completing algebraic arithmetic operations for students. The research subjects consisted of five class VII students from a junior high school in DIY. Data collection through observation sheets, interview sheets, student worksheets, and final tests. This research is qualitative research using the descriptive analysis method. The result is that the algebra board teaching aid is a tool that can be used to increase students' understanding of algebraic arithmetic operations. Most of these teaching aids are also used as calculation tools to make it easier for students to solve algebraic arithmetic operations.

Abstract

Penggunaan alat peraga dalam pembelajaran matematika bukanlah hal baru. Di tengah-tengah digitalisai yang berkembang, penelitian ini hadir memberikan pandangan penggunaan alat peraga dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji lebih dalam pengalaman siswa dalam menggunakan alat peraga pada materi sudut istimewa trigonometri. Penelitian ini fokus pada 4 orang siswa kelas X SMA di Yogyakarta, yang terdiri dari 4 orang siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan triangulasi data untuk mendeskripsikan hasil temuan. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Jari Trigonometri dalam memperlajari sudut-sudut istimewa memberikan pengalaman dan persepsi positif bagi siswa dalam memahami dan mengingat sudut istimewa. Selain itu, motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran juga meningkat.  Meskipun mengalami tantangan dalam memahami penggunaan alat peraga, siswa menyatakan memperoleh manfaat yang signifikan dalam menggunakan Jari Trigonometri. The use of manipulation in learning mathematics is not a new thing. In the development of digitalization, this present study stands to open again perspective using hand on manipulative in teaching and learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to understand deeply students’ experiences in utilizing manipulatives to learn special angles in trigonometry. This study focused on a small group of grade X senior high school in Yogyakarta, which consisted of 4 students. The method in this study was a qualitative method using data triangulation to describe the findings. The results show that using Jari Trigonometri in learning special angles gave positive experiences and perceptions for students to understand and remember special angles. Moreover, students’ motivation and participation in learning improved better. Albeit having obstacles in comprehending the use of Jari Trigonometri, students affirmed gaining benefits in utilizing this hands-on manipulative.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' creative thinking skills through the Peer Lesson strategy in Mathematics learning for class VII students of MTs Darul Ulum Muhammadiyah Galur in the 2023/2024 academic year. This study uses a classroom action research method with two cycles. The subjects of this study were 14 class VII students at MTs Darul Ulum Muhammadiyah Galur, Kulon Progo Regency. The object of this study is critical thinking skills. Data were collected through test and non-test techniques, such as classroom observation and students interviews. The results of the study showed that the results of learning mathematics on the set material, class VII students who were taught using the active learning strategy of the peer lesson type were better than without using the active learning strategy of the peer lesson type at MTs Darul Ulum Muhammadiyah Galur. This is evidenced by the results in cycle 1 to cycle 2 increasing significantly.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa tentang esensi Sumpah Pemuda serta kaitannya dengan dunia pendidikan dan membekali mahasiswa calon guru dengan strategi pembelajaran inovatif untuk mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Sumpah Pemuda dalam mata pelajaran yang mereka ampu. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 28 Oktober 2023, bertempat di auditorium Universitas Cokroaminoto Yogyakarta. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh dosen-dosen Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan dan mahasiswa kedua program studi yaitu program studi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) dan program studi pendidikan matematika yang berjumlah sekitar 40 orang. Kegiatan ini berlangsung dalam satu hari dan dibagi ke dalam dua sesi. Dari survei, wawancara, dan catatan lapangan yang diperoleh peneliti selama kegiatan ini berlangsung, dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa calon guru memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk karakter dan wawasan kebangsaan generasi muda. Kegiatan PkM ini menegaskan peran tersebut, memberikan bekal bagi mereka yang nantinya akan menjadi guru yang kompeten di dalam bidang ilmu dan memiliki integritas dan semangat nasionalisme yang tinggi. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini mahasiswa calon guru telah menunjukkan bahwa semangat persatuan, gotong royong, dan cinta tanah air masih relevan dan dapat diimplementasikan dalam berbagai bentuk aksi nyata.
