Abstract

Keberadaan Dewan Pendidikan merupakan respon terhadap paradigma baru. Dalam paradigma lama, peran Dewan Pendidikan yang secara kelembagaan belum ada adalah membentuk Badan Pelaksana Penunjang Pendidikan (BP3) yang perannya hanya sebatas memungut biaya pendidikan. Secara tidak langsung, masyarakat menganggap pendidikan hanya menjadi tanggung jawab sekolah atau satuan pendidikan. Dalam paradigma baru, seluruh elemen harus bertanggung jawab atas maju dan mundurnya pendidikan. Implementasi berbagai kebijakan yang diterapkan di bidang pendidikan bergantung pada sinergi dan koordinasi antara berbagai pemangku kepentingan di tingkat nasional dan daerah, termasuk keterlibatan masyarakat. Tujuan Dewan Pendidikan adalah memberikan pelayanan dan memfasilitasi sekolah untuk membangun pendidikan yang bermutu. Demikian pula peran Dewan Pendidikan di Kabupaten Pacitan , salah satunya memiliki andil dalam menggagas pembelajaran dimasa pandemi Covid-19. Hasilnya adalah diterapkan pembelajaran luring dan daring yang dilaksanakan menggunakan sistem perzona. Terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi oleh Dewan Pendidikan dalam Menjalankan Tugas dan Fungsinya di Kabupaten Pacitan antara lain (1) anggaran, Namun bukan berarti tanpa anggaran dari pemerintah kemudian Dewan Pendidikan tidak bisa menjalankan program. Hal ini disadari karena dewan pendidikan bukan organisasi profit. (2) Kurang adanya sosialisasi yang sifatnya terbuka dan merata kepada komite sekolah dan masyarakat; dan (3) Kesibukan dimasing-masing pengurus menjadikan Dewan Pendidikan agak lamban, karena masing-masing pengurus sibuk dengan pekerjaan.

Abstract

Reading literacy and mathematics literacy are important focuses in the Minimum Competency Assessment launched by the government. This study aims to provide an overview of how teachers in schools design numeracy literacy questions and factors that affect the design process. The subjects in this study are 14 subject teachers at one of the Tsanawiyah Madrasah in Sleman, Yogyakarta. The data collected were in the form of teacher designs, field notes, and interview results. Data analysis is carried out qualitatively consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the question design made by the teacher, it can be seen that most teachers choose to design reading literacy questions rather than numeracy questions. The content selected in literacy is mostly informational text, while for numeracy the largest content is numbers. The cognitive process that is the goal of most problems in literacy is the process of interpretation and integration, while in numeracy problems most of them are at the level of comprehension. Both literacy and numeracy matters, the dominant context used is the personal and scientific context. The factors that affect the design of numeracy literacy questions are the availability of resources and support, curriculum and assessment factors, time and workload factors, and internal teacher factors

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian dilakukan adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan alat peraga papan peluang dalam membantu siswa menyelesaikan masalah mengenai peluang kejadian, frekuensi relatif, dan frekuensi harapan pada materi peluang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan lima orang siswa kelas VII SMP sebagai sampel. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, pengambilan catatan lapangan, dan tes tulis. Analisis dilakukan dengan analisis konten, di mana seluruh data yang dikumpulkan selama penelitian dipelajari dan dideskripsikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat peraga ini tidak hanya membantu siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal yang berkaitan dengan peluang kejadian dan frekuensi harapan, namun membantu siswa mengkomunikasikan pemahaman atau ide mereka kepada teman lain dengan lebih baik. Ruang sampel dan peluang kejadian dipelajari melalui media papan peluang berfungsi sebagai jembatan dari pengetahuan konkret yang mereka miliki menuju ke yang lebih abstrak. Selain itu, alat peraga ini juga dapat memberi motivasi siswa untuk belajar matematika, membantu pemahaman siswa dalam memahami konsep dasar matematika, dan menunjang kegiatan belajar siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memahami penggunaan game Arcademics pada operasi bentuk aljabar. Metode penelitian adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan dua orang siswa SMP kelas VII di Banyumas sebagai sampel. Instrumen penelitian adalah hasil kerja siswa, catatan lapangan observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Arcademics dapat memfasilitasi pembelajaran operasi bentuk aljabar melalui beberapa cara, yaitu tampilan visual dan animasi yang menarik, sistem game yang interaktif, dan pemberian umpan balik langsung yang mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman siswa belajar operasi bentuk aljabar. Siswa memberikan persepsi positif terhadap penggunaan Arcademics dalam pembelajaran operasi bentuk aljabar dan menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran matematika menjadi lebih menyenangkan, menarik, dan mudah dipahami. Aspek tantangan dan kompetisi dalam game juga menjadi semangat tersendiri bagi siswa. The purpose of the present study is to understand the use of Arcademics on operation of algebra form. The research method in this study is descriptive qualitative involving two grade VII of Junior High School Students in Banyumas as samples. The result shows that Arcademics is able to fasilitate learning operation in algebra form through some ways, namely visual appearances and interesting animation, interactive game system, and giving feedback directly which was able to enhance students’ motivation and understanding on operation of algebra form. Students gave positive perception on Arcademics on operation of algebra form. Students stated that learning mathematics became enjoying, interesting, and easily understood. Challenging and competition in game also boosted students’ own spirit.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tingkatan kemampuan numerasi siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan PMRI dalam pembelajarannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan selain karena adanya masalah mendasar dalam literasi matematika siswa dan masih sedikitnya penelitian mengenai pendekatan pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mengembangkan numerasi siswa, keterampilan ini adalah bekal siswa dalam kehidupan untuk dapat menggunakan matematika dalam berbagai konteks kehidupan nyata untuk pengambilan keputusan dan pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian adalah 18 orang siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah di Yogyakarta. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini berupa hasil observasi, hasil wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan dokumen hasil pekerjaan siswa. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan numerasi siswa berada pada level perlu intervensi khusus, dasar, dan cakap. Beberapa faktor yang menjadi penghambat dalam pelaksanaan penelitian di antaranya siswa belum terbiasa dengan pendekatan PMRI dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan minimnya pengalaman siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal numerasi atau masalah matematika yang memiliki konteks atau situasi yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan. The aim of this present study is to describe students’ level of numeracy competence using PMRI approach in learning mathematics. This research is conducted not only because og the fundamental issues in students’ mathematical literacy and the lack of studies on effective learning approaches to develop students’ numeracy, but also because these skills are essential for students in life to use mathematics in various real-life contexts for decision-making and problem-solving. This study is a qualitative descriptive which involved 18 Vocational School students grade X in Yogyakarta. Data collection in this research consisted of observation result, interview results, field notes, and students’ works. The analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing inferences and verification. The study showed that students’ level of numeracy competence was in the level of need for specific intervention, elementary, and capable. Several factors that inhibited the impelementation of research included students not being accustomed to the PMRI approach in learning and students’ lack of experiences in solving numeracy problems or mathematical problems that have a context or situation related to daily life.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity was to provide training for teachers on designing AKM problems. The activities were conducted at MTsN 1 Sleman and involving teachers as participants. Those were held from October to November 2024 in three meetings. Through this community service activity, the team made serious efforts for teachers to understand AKM better and experience in devising literacy problems which were relevant to their own subjects. The training activities on designing literacy numeracy problems for teachers provide sufficient understanding and skills about the importance of numeracy integration in learning. Based on the discussion held and the presentation of problems designed, teachers’ competence in designing literacy numeracy that are contextual and relevant to the subjects being taught is growing. Teachers now have profound understanding how to connect numeracy concepts with learning material to create meaningful problems. Well-designed literacy numeracy problems not only test numeracy skills, but also train students in analyzing, evaluating and solving problems.

Abstract

The importance of mathematical justification in all classrooms is emphasized by reform movements in mathematics education. However, previous studies reveal that encouraging justification in mathematics classes is troblesome for mathematics teachers at all school levels. This present study is aimed to find out how justification help students to develop their mathematical understandings. To answer this question, we first determined the role of justification in teaching and learning process and how good students in justifying their answers. Design research was chosen as an appropriate mean to achive that goal. The study was conducted in a state university in Yogyakarta involving four students from fifty-one students as our focus group and one of researchers as a lecturer. Justification was the focus on this study and to promote it we chose RME as an approach that served as a learning environment. In this study, all data collected from classroom observation, group observation, students’ works, video recordings, field notes during teaching experiment, and students’ final writen test. Students’ works then analyzed using a justification rubric and describe thoroughly by considering other data collected during teaching learning process. The study revealed that there were some roles of justification in RME classroom, namely encouraged conceptual understanding, supported mathematical skill, promoted long lasting skill, and influenced social relationship. In this study, most students in our focus group have already made a good justification which was assessed by the points in the CLEAR rubric. Students wrote their solutions equipped by signs or simbols, made labels, used a complete sentence to answer the question, and elaborated procedures throroughly

Abstract

UCY Thematics Community Service Program (KKN) is a program packaged as community service, representing a synergy between campus learning and community life. UCY, as a national campus concerned with the progress of the Indonesian nation and state, has a responsibility to contribute to village development thru KKN activities. In the implementation of this community service, there are several falgship programs, including youth and sports development in collaboration with Kampung Giwangan and waste management in the community. The morning youth and sports development program by KKN students in Kampung Giwangan was considered successful because it increased youth participation, strengthened social interaction, and had a positive impact on the health and togetherness of the community, despite some challenges. The socialization activities on plastic waste management in Kampung Giwangan, which focused on teenagers and parents, were categorized as yielding positive results because they increased awareness of environmental cleanliness. Thru interactive methods and active participation from the participants, waste management becomes an activity that can be continued even after the KKN program is over. Nevertheless, the continuation of this program requires a more sustainable strategy. Thru this activity, students learn to hone their soft skills to build partnerships, cross-disciplinary or cross-competency teamwork, and leadership in managing the potential of the village in the KKN area.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan teori instruksional lokal untuk mendukung pengembangan pemahaman dasar siswa tentang persentase. Design research dipilih sebagai sarana yang tepat untuk mencapai tujuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Dasar Pusri Palembang, Kelas 5 yang totalnya melibatkan 42 orang siswa dan satu guru kelas. Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) yang diadaptasi dari Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) sengaja dipilih sebagai pendekatan dalam proses belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa percentage bar yang disajikan sebagai model dalam pembelajaran membantu siswa untuk memahami persentase. Siswa menggunakannya sebagai alat untuk penalaran dan juga sebagai alat untuk menghitung. Bar ini juga membantu mereka menyampaikan pemikiran mereka kepada orang lain. Bagi beberapa orang siswa, yang biasanya menggunakan cara formal untuk menyelesaikan masalah persentase, percentage bar menjadi cara lain untuk membuktikan solusi masalah persentase. This present study aims to develop a local instructional theory to support student's development of a basic understanding of percentages. Design research was chosen as an appropriate means to achieve the goal. The study was conducted in Pusri Primary School Palembang, Grade 5 involving 42 students and one classroom teacher. Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) adapted from Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) was deliberately chosen as an approach to the teaching and learning process. This study revealed that a percentage bar serving as a learning model helped students understand percentages. Students used it as a tool for reasoning and also as a tool for calculating. It also helped them to represent the percentages stated and to communicate their thoughts to others. Some students who usually utilized the formal way to solve percentage problems found the bar as another way to prove the result.

Abstract

This community service project aims at providing an assistance towards Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) at Bina Jaya Junior High School in Banguntapan. The chosen theme in this activity was sustainable lifestyles associated with economic mathematics by utilizing recycled materials. Some problems behind this community service activity included the lack of school readiness in managing P5 activities, inadequate understanding of teachers related to the Kurikulum Merdeka, and limited school budgets. To address these issues, the current community service activity was conducted involving teachers and students in theme namely a sustainable lifestyles project that utilizes recycled materials. The activity follows the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, consisting of three stages: action plan, observation and evaluation, and reflection. After finishing the project, there have been a successful improvement in the understanding of school management; teachers and students’s concepts about P5 in Kurikulum Merdeka, as well as the integration of economic mathematics concepts into creative projects. Some examples were crafting plants’ vases from recycled materials, creating organic fertilizers, and planting aloe vera (Aloe vera) and butterfly pea flowers (Clitoria ternatea). The results indicate the improvement in understanding the concept of economic mathematics and increasing students’ skills in applying them in a sustainability lifestyle context. Supporting P5 activity with an economic mathematics approach can strengthen students' characters, support the Kurikulum Merdeka, and provide practical insights into economic aspects relevant to daily life.
