Abstract

Rusaknya moral bangsa dapat diamati dari memudarnya perilaku peserta didik yang dicermati dari cara berperilaku, bertutur kata yang kurang sopan dan tidak beretika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penanganan dekadensi moral melalui penerapan pendidikan karakter cinta damai dan nasionalisme di SD Muhammadiyah Karangtengah. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru kelas, guru PJOK, guru PAI, serta peserta didik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis mengindikasikan bahwa dalam mengurangi kemrosotan moral peserta didik di usia sekolah dasar, pihak sekolah menanamkan pendidikan karakter cinta damai dan nasionalisme melalui pembiasaan, integrasi dalam pembelajaran, serta melalui budaya sekolah. Dalam penerapan pendidikan karakter tidak hanya usaha dari pihak sekolah saja, namun juga diperlukan adanya kerjasama antar semua elemen, mulai dari elemen pendidikan, keluarga, maupun lingkungan masyarakat. Hal itu merupakan langkah-langkah dalam mengurangi bahkan mencegah perilaku-perilaku kemrosotan moral yang terjadi di usia sekolah dasar. Handling Moral Decadence Through the Application of Peace Love Characters and NationalismThe damage to the nation's morals can be observed from the waning behavior of students who are observed from how to behave, speak impolite and unethical words. This study aims to describe the handling of moral decadence through the application of peace-loving character education and nationalism in Muhammadiyah Elementary School, Karangtengah. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were school principals, classroom teachers, PJOK teachers, Islamic education teachers, and students. The data was collected by means of observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the analysis indicate that in reducing the moral decline in elementary school age, schools instill peace-loving character education and nationalism through habituation, integration in learning, and through school culture. In implementing character education, it is not only an effort from the school, but also requires cooperation between all elements, starting from the elements of education, family, and the community. This is a step in reducing and even preventing moral degeneration behavior that occurs at elementary school age.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of the Ngudi Makmur farmer group in Seyegan, Sleman, Yogyakarta through digital marketing training and rice product diversification. The training materials covered digital marketing, branding, communication, and rice flour processing. The methods used included counseling, interactive training, and evaluation through pre- and post-tests. The evaluation results showed an increase in the average score of participants from 0.57 in the pre-test to 0.89 in the post-test. The level of understanding of participants before the training was still low, especially in the aspects of communication (15 participants) and rice product diversification (10 participants). After the training, there was a significant and even increase in all aspects, namely digital marketing (33 participants), branding (35 participants), communication (29 participants), and rice product diversification (27 participants). Thus, this activity has proven effective in increasing the knowledge and skills of farmer groups, both in utilizing digital platforms for marketing and in developing innovative rice-based products. This program is expected to strengthen the competitiveness and economic independence of farmer groups in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills is a central objective of contemporary elementary education. This study examined the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in enhancing the critical thinking and problem-solving abilities of fourth-grade students within integrated IPAS instruction. A quantitative quasi-experimental design employing a nonequivalent control group pretest–posttest approach was used. The participants consisted of 46 fourth-grade students, divided into an experimental group (PBL, n = 23) and a control group (Project-Based Learning, PjBL, n = 23). Data were collected using validated pretest and posttest instruments measuring critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Descriptive and inferential analyses were conducted, including paired samples t-tests and effect size calculations using Cohen’s d. The results indicated that students in the PBL group demonstrated statistically significant improvements in critical thinking (t(22) = −7.40, p < .001, d = 1.42) and problem-solving skills (t(22) = −6.67, p < .001, d = 1.45), representing very large effects. In contrast, the PjBL group showed only modest and non-significant gains. These findings suggest that PBL is more effective than PjBL in fostering higher-order cognitive skills among elementary students. The study contributes empirical evidence supporting the integration of problem-centered learning approaches in primary education to enhance essential 21st-century skills.

Abstract

Kalurahan Sriharjo di Kabupaten Bantul merupakan salah satu wilayah dengan tingkat kerawanan bencana alam yang tinggi di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Kondisi geografis yang didominasi perbukitan dan aliran sungai menyebabkan wilayah ini rentan terhadap bencana tanah longsor, banjir, serta gempa bumi. Pelatihan pengenalan potensi dan dampak bencana ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat terhadap berbagai ancaman bencana yang berpotensi terjadi di lingkungan mereka. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif dengan melibatkan masyarakat, perangkat kalurahan, serta Forum Pengurangan Risiko Bencana (FPRB) setempat. Materi pelatihan mencakup pengenalan jenis bencana, faktor penyebab, dampak sosial-ekonomi, serta langkah-langkah mitigasi dan evakuasi dasar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap potensi bencana di wilayahnya dan pentingnya kesiapsiagaan berbasis komunitas. Pelatihan ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal dalam membangun budaya sadar bencana dan memperkuat kapasitas masyarakat Sriharjo dalam menghadapi situasi darurat secara mandiri dan tangguh. Hasil dari pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan mitra meningkat rata-rata 1,1 poin atau 30,1 %. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa pelatihan yang dilakukan cukup efektif untuk mitigasi bencana di Kalurahan Sriharjo.

Abstract

Schools play an important role in increasing health awareness, including the implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) to prevent diseases such as Dengue Fever (DBD). On February 3, 2025, the PHBS education program was implemented at Rasmisart School, Songkhla, Thailand, focusing on increasing teacher understanding and the role of Mosquito Larvae Monitors (Jumantik). The methods used included multimedia presentations and interactive discussions. Evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests showed an increase in understanding of 10%, with several aspects of PHBS reaching a level of understanding of 100%. These results confirm the effectiveness of PHBS education in increasing health awareness in the school environment. The methods used included multimedia presentations and interactive discussions. Abstract

AbstractKegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tengku Afzan Pahang Malaysia, sebagai upaya strategis untuk bekerjasama lintas negara dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran remaja  terhadap pentingnya perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Permasalahan yang ditemukan adalah rendahnya kemampuan remaja dalam menjalankan praktik kebersihan pribadi secara konsisten. Strategi intervensi yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan interaktif, kegiatan praktik langsung, serta penguatan pemahaman melalui diskusi terarah. Evaluasi berbasis pretest dan posttest menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan sebesar 10,1 poin dengan hasil uji statistik p = 0,000. Program ini turut berkontribusi terhadap pencapaian tujuan SDG’s poin ke-3 dan ke-4, serta model kegiatan ini dapat dijadikan rujukan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian yang bersifat lintas negara dan berbasis edukasi remaja.
