Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop and produce Social Studies module.  The module leaning material is natural phenomena in Indonesia with scientific approach. The module develops for college-students of Elementary School Teacher Education, Ahmad Dahlan University. This research was a Research and Development. The development of the module is based on Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE). Data collection techniques are interviews, product assessment by experts, and college-students response sheets.  The instruments of this research are 1) interview guideline to get preliminary information on the analysis of needs in the Elementary School Teacher Education Program; 2) product assessment sheet which is in the form of assessment sheet by expert judgment and expert input in the FGD, and 3)college-students response sheet to understand the module's practicality. The results of the research show the module’s feasibility by the material and learning experts with an average score of 120, with "very good" criteria. The study of feasibility by media experts obtains an average score of 83, with "very good" criteria. Based on the assessment of 10 college-students obtained n = 87.86%, with the module criteria of "very practical". It can be concluded that the module developed is very feasible, in accordance to the assessment of the experts and college-students response.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai kesulitan-kesulitan yang dialami guru khususnya pada kelas II Di SD Muhammadiyah Karangwaru, dalam proses penerapan pembelajaran tematik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini ialah kepala sekolah, wakil ketua kurikulum dan guru kelas II Di SD Muhammadiyah Karangwaru. Objek yang diambil berupa kesulitan guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran tematik dan kesulitan guru dalam penerapan pembelajaran tematik. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dari teori Miles and Huberman dengan siklus mulai pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa, dalam tahapan pelaksanaan pembelajaran tematik terdapat faktor pendukung dan penghambat. Faktor pendukung berasal dari dorongan yang diberikan kepala sekolah dan fasilitas di dalam kelas yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk kegiatan penyampaian materi pembelajaran. Sedangkan untuk faktor penghambat yang dialami guru adalah kurangnya pelatihan atau pemahaman lebih lanjut mengenai penerapan pembelajaran tematik. Pada proses kegiatan, guru masih mengalami kesulitan pada tahapan perencanaan pembelajaran terutama proses penyusunan RPP, untuk tahapan pelaksanaannya pada penentuan model dan pendekatan scientific. Untuk mengatasi kesulitan yang dialami guru melakukan forum atau sharing bersama dengan sesama guru kelas II, sedangkan upaya untuk mengaktifkan peserta didik guru menggunakan alat bantu media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Multicultural education is still very foreign to elementary school teachers and students. Need innovation in introducing multicultural education to elementary school students through educational story book. The aims of this study are: 1) developing educational story book based on tolerance character, 2) knowing the feasibility of the educational story book based on experts’ judgment, 3) knowing the responses of teachers and students after using educational story book. The development procedure adopted Borg and Gall model. Data collection techniques were questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis techniques was descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis of interactive model. Small group trial subject used six students in the 5th grade of Wirosaban Elementary School. While the large group trial used 20 students in the 5th grade of Pakel Elementary School. The results of the study are educational story book with the title "Berbeda tapi Sama (Divers but the Same)". The mean score of the experts’ assessment are from the learning material is 86,53, language expert is 87,5, and media expert is 88,33. The teacher response in the small group trial is 98,33 and the students’ response  is 99,58. The teacher's response in the large group trial is 81,66 and the students response is 97,87. All assessments from experts, teachers, and students are in a very good category. It can be concluded that educational story book with the title "Berbeda tapi Sama " is very feasible to be used to introduce multicultural education in elementary school students.

Abstract

This paper describes a community empowerment program by implementing Internet of Things (IoT) Water Quality Monitoring technology to encourage innovation and increase productivity in shrimp cultivation. Collaboration between Muhammadiyah University of Kendari, Ahmad Dahlan University, and local farmers has resulted in the latest solution to optimize shrimp pond management. This empowerment involves a series of stages, from identifying water quality problems to implementing IoT monitoring infrastructure in the field. First, through intensive discussions, critical issues faced by farmers were identified. Based on these findings, the development team from Ahmad Dahlan University designed and implemented a solution in the form of IoT Water Quality Monitoring. Furthermore, the Muhammadiyah University of Kendari held intensive training and workshops to increase farmers' understanding of data interpretation and tool operation. The workshop lasted for three days, which successfully improved farmers' practical skills and increased optimism regarding increasing shrimp production. The final stage of this empowerment involves installing IoT Water Quality Monitoring infrastructure at identified shrimp farming locations. In conclusion, implementing this technology significantly positively impacts shrimp cultivation productivity and farmer welfare. Recommendations for further development and wider dissemination of information provide a basis for improving sustainability and efficiency in the local fisheries sector.

Abstract

The background of this research is that the motivation and learning outcomes of science learning outcomes are not yet optimal for the sixth-grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Karangwaru Yogyakarta. This happens due to the lack of teacher ability to use interactive learning media with the development of an increasingly advanced era in learning activities. This causes learning activities to become less active, forcing students to feel bored and bored when participating in learning activities in the classroom. Therefore, one of the efforts that can be used to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes is to use the Quizizz learning media. This study aims to 1) Determine the effect of using Quizizz learning media in science learning activities on student learning motivation and 2) Determine the influence of Quizizz learning media in science learning activities on student learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative type of research using an experimental research model. The technique of collecting data on students' learning motivation using a questionnaire/questionnaire and collecting data on student learning outcomes with the results of pretest and posttest tests. The population in this study were all students of class VI, consisting of classes VI A, VI B and VI C of SD Muhammadiyah Karangwaru, a total of 62 students, all of whom were used as samples. The data analysis technique used in this study was SPSS 26 For Windows with a t-test (Independent Sample T-test). The results of this study indicate that: 1) There is an influence on the use of Quizizz learning media in science learning activities for class VI SD on students' learning motivation. The percentage of the experimental class students' learning motivation showed higher results than the control class results. It can be seen that the average rate of students' learning motivation in the experimental class has increased from 72.66 to 78.53. 2) There is an influence on the use of Quizizz learning media in science learning activities for class VI SD on student learning outcomes (posttest). The percentage of experimental class students' learning outcomes increased from the pretest score, averaging 68.6 to 74.7 at the post-test.

Abstract

Pendidikan STEM merupakan pendidikan dengan mengintegrasikan berbagai mata pelajaran antara lain sains, teknologi, enggenering, dan matematika. Pengintegrasian beberapa mata pelajaran ini dapat mengembangkan potensi peserta didik dalam belajar terutama dengan hal yang berkaitan dengan pemecahan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun pada kenyataannya, penyediaan media pembelajaran guna mendukung peningkatan kualitas khususnya bagi tunanetra masih sangat sedikit. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kualitas media B-Math berbasis STEM bagi peserta didik tunanetra. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan R&D (Research and Development) dengan model four-D (Define, Design, Development, Dissemination). Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa.. Hasil pengembangan pada penelitian ini adalah media braille mathematics (B-Math). Adapun media B-Math ini telah melalui uji validasi oleh para validator yaitu ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh para validator maka diperoleh nilai 84 dari ahli media dan termasuk dalam kriteria “Sangat Baik”. Penilaian dari ahli materi memperoleh nilai 76 dan termasuk dalam kategori “Baik”. Adapun penilaian dari ahli bahasa memperoleh nilai 85 dan termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”. Nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh dari penilaian ketiga ahli tersebut adalah 81,67 dan termasuk dalam kriteria “Sangat Baik”.

Abstract

Students and students as student statuses should have sensitivity to problems that arise in society, especially those related to their chosen field. This study aims to analyze the effect of problem-solving models on social sensitivity in elementary school teacher education students. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Data was collected using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The questionnaire uses a Likert Likert scale of 1-5. Subjects in this study amounted to 61 people. The data analysis process was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis, which was preceded by a prerequisite analysis test. According to the findings of this study, not all proxies of problem-solving skills affect the social problem sensitivity of social studies students. Only focus, reason, situation, and overview affect the sensitivity to social problems, while the inference and clarity variables partially do not affect the problem of social sensitivity. However, simultaneously all of these variables affect the sensitivity to social problems of social studies students. Based on this, it is recommended for further research to examine the components that affect sensitivity to social problems so that other variables that affect sensitivity to social problems can be identified.

Abstract

The establishment of a traffic safety culture in Indonesia is a challenge, and there are many factors that contribute to this difficulty. To instill awareness and culture, the concept is taught through education from an early age. Therefore, this study aimed to develop traffic safety education for elementary school students in Yogyakarta using a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through four focus group discussion (FGD) sessions with school principals, teachers, parents, and school security officers. The analysis was conducted by transcribing, extracting important statements, formulating meanings, and categorizing the findings into themes. The results showed four themes from the analysis, such as unsafe behavior, education content, teaching methods, and stakeholder support. Traffic safety education was taught from an early age to elementary school students, and the content was delivered using appropriate teaching methods. The success of education required support from different parties in Yogyakarta City.

Abstract

The elderly, defined as individuals aged 60 and above, often face challenges related to health, social, and economic factors that affect their quality of life. Programs such as Senior Schools and Senior Learning Spaces aim to support the physical, social, and mental health of the elderly through relevant educational activities. However, management and facility challenges required attention. The goal of this research was to enhance the management capacity of Senior Learning Spaces through training for partners in developing elderly learning programs and improving learning infrastructure. This research used a qualitative approach with Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and curriculum workshops at the Senior School of Yayasan Senior Madani Indonesia, Social Club Indonesia, from November 5-10, 2024. The study involved 10 informants and aimed to design a curriculum relevant to the needs of the elderly. The outcome of this reasearch was a structured curriculum for senior schools, covering areas such as worship, health, Quran reading, and simple technology. This curriculum was relevant to the needs of the elderly and supported the goal of fostering healthy, independent, and productive seniors.

Abstract

Desa Caturharjo, Kecamatan Pandak, Kabupaten Bantul, Provinsi DI Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu penyumbang sampah di TPST Piyungan. TPST tersebut kerap dilakukan penutupan dikarenakan volume sampah yang terus meningkat. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut pemerintah Kota Bantul membentuk Badan Usaha Milik Kalurahan (BUMKAL) yang bergerak dibidang usaha sampah. Salah satu BUMKAL yang sudah terbentuk yaitu BUMKAL Catur Sejahtera yang beranggotakan masyarakat Desa Caturharjo. Usia BUMKAL masih terbilang muda yaitu satu bulan. BUMKAL Caturharjo kedepannya akan mengembangkan berbagai usaha sampah untuk menunjang program Bantul Bersama (Bersih Sampah 2025). Bumkal Caturharjo berupaya mengelola sampah yang ada di Desa Caturharjo untuk menekan volume sampah dan menjadikannya usaha kreatif. BUMKAL terdiri dari 11 Pengurus dimana Lurah sebagai penasihat dan Ade Encup sebagai direktur. Pengembangan usaha berbahan dasar sampah dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi di Desa Caturharjo dimana terdapat beberapa tempat wisata, ternak lele, kuliner tradisional (terdapat 14 warung bakmi) dan penduduk desa mayoritas bertani. Berangkat dari kondisi tersebut maka sebisa mungkin Desa Caturharjo dapat mencukupi pasokan kerajinan untuk tempat wisata, ulat magot untuk ternak lele, briket untuk memasak kuliner tradisional, dan pupuk untuk pertanian. Persoalan yang dihadapi Bumkal Caturharjo diantaranya: belum memiliki peta jalan dalam pengelolaan sampah berbasis technopreneurship, (2) kesadaran masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan sampah masih rendah, (3) belum memiliki akses infromasi terkait pengelolaan sampah, (3) belum adanya produk yang dihasilkan dari bahan baku sampah, dan (4) belum dapat memasarkan produk daur ulang sampah, (5) belum adanya marketplace untuk penjualan produk, (5) belum adanya wadah untuk memfasilitasi masyarakat untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dalaam mengolah sampah menjadi aneka kerajinan, pupuk briket dan budidaya maggot, (6) belum adanya pengelolaan sampah berbasis digital. Tujuan dari kegiatan meningkatkan peran BUMKAL sebagai pionir menuju ekonomi kreatif dan pusat studi pengelolaan sampah berbasis technopreneurship. Solusi permasalahan diantaranya: (1) penyuluhan wirausahan sampah berbasis digital, (2) pembuatan aplikasi (sistem informasi dan penerpan website pemasaran produk daur ulang yang terintegrasi ), (3) pelatihan pembuatan pupuk, (4) pelatihan budidaya ulat maggot untuk pakan ternak, (5) pelatihan aneka kerajinan daur ulang sampah, (6) pelatihan pembuatan briket dari sampah organik, (7) pelatihan penggunaaan aplikasi keuangan, (8) pelatihan pemasaran, (9) legalitas produk, (10) pagelaran produk, (11) terciptanya balai edukasi pengolahan sampah, (12) lokakarya hasil, dan (13) keberlanjutan program.
