Abstract

The issues faced by Lecturers and Students of Islamic Education (PAI) at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar include the suboptimal understanding in preparing teaching materials during field learning practices in schools. Considering the importance of interactive learning media to assist the learning process in schools, there is a need for training in creating interactive video-based learning media through training activities. This training is conducted with the aim of enhancing the knowledge and skills competence of Lecturers and Students of PAI at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar as prospective teachers who require skills in creating interactive digital-based learning media. This community service activity is carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method through training activities involving Lecturers and Students. The implementation consists of three stages: (1) pre-activity, (2) activity implementation, and (3) evaluation of the implementation. The results of this activity indicate an improvement in the competence of lecturers and students of Islamic education at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar in utilizing technology to support the learning process, particularly in creating creative, innovative, and interactive learning videos.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop an interactive e-module based on STEM-Project Based Learning (STEM-PjBL) for the Industrial Control Systems subject at SMKN 1 Bukittinggi. This e-module is designed to address the limitations of conventional learning resources and the dominance of less interactive lecture methods, as well as to increase student engagement in learning. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the 4D model (Define, Design, and product creation in Develop), this research focuses on needs analysis, content structure design, media selection, and e-module interface design. The main innovation of this e-module lies in the comprehensive integration of STEM concepts through real-world project scenarios relevant to the industry, as well as the use of interactive features from Lectora Desktop and Canva for engaging visualisation. The e-module is packaged in an Android application format (.apk) for offline accessibility. The design results indicate that this e-module has a systematic structure, interactive features, and an attractive interface, thereby holding significant potential to facilitate contextual and applied learning in Industrial Control Systems.

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5), a core component of Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum, aims to integrate character education with contextual learning. This study evaluates the implementation of a local wisdom–themed P5 project in a Vocational High School (SMK) in West Sumatra, focusing on its effectiveness in aligning cultural values with vocational competencies.A sequential explanatory mixed-methods design was employed using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. Data were collected from 155 participants (principals, teachers, and students) through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and document analysis. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively, followed by qualitative interpretation to explain key findings. The context evaluation demonstrated strong alignment with national education policies. Input analysis revealed a disparity between adequate facilities (82%) and limited teacher understanding of program management (63%). During implementation, student participation was moderate (73%), but inconsistent pedagogical facilitation hindered effectiveness. Product evaluation indicated a positive yet suboptimal impact on student character development (74%).The findings highlight a critical gap between structural readiness and human resource capacity. Although institutional support and infrastructure are sufficient, limitations in teachers’ pedagogical and managerial competencies constrain program outcomes. The effectiveness of P5 implementation depends less on infrastructure and more on strengthening teacher capacity. Policy efforts should prioritize professional development, practical mentorship, and clear technical guidelines to bridge the gap between curriculum design and classroom practice, thereby optimizing the integration of local wisdom in vocational education.

Abstract

Vocational education must equip students with practical competencies aligned with the digital and Fourth Industrial Revolution era. However, learning in vocational schools often faces limitations, including scarce digital media resources, weak integration of real-world projects, and minimal use of collaborative technologies. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a Project-Based E-Jobsheet for Local Area Network (LAN) installation integrated with Google Workspace to enhance learning in Computer and Network Engineering programs. The research employed the 4D development model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Instrument validation was conducted using Aiken’s V, while practicality and effectiveness were assessed through user responses and learning outcome analysis. The E-Jobsheet demonstrated high validity in terms of media (0.836), content (0.809), and language (0.909). Practicality testing yielded a score of 85.36%, categorized as “very practical.” Effectiveness analysis showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes (p = 0.003). Integration with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, and Forms) enabled efficient collaboration, structured feedback, and digital assessment. The findings indicate that the Project-Based E-Jobsheet is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. It supports constructivist learning through active, collaborative, and project-based approaches. Despite limitations such as single-site implementation and reliance on internet access, this study offers an adaptive digital solution to improve vocational education and better prepare students for technological advancements.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a PsyAssist application based on face recognition to help disaster volunteers detect survivors' emotions in real-time through facial expression analysis using the YOLO algorithm that recommends personalized relaxation audio. This application is developed with the Flutter framework, Flask API python and the Waterfall model. The main features include: (1) facial expression-based emotion detection, (2) relaxation audio recommendations according to emotional conditions, and (3) audio satisfaction graph visualization based on user responses. The model training process was carried out for 100 epochs, with results showing an increase in accuracy as the number of epochs increases. At the 100th epoch, the model achieved a precision value of 0.8 and a recall matrix of 0.85, indicating quite good performance in detecting facial expressions. The existence of this application is expected to increasing the technological support needed by PFA volunteers in disaster situations
