Abstract

IIn the dynamics of general elections, the discussion of women legislative candidates has always been an interesting topic because the proportion of 30% of women candidates’ minimum requirement is always difficult to fulfill by any political party. The difficulty of women legislative candidates penetrating parliamentary seats is a problem that must be resolved. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct qualitative research to formulate how the communication patterns carried out by women politicians in the Karawang Regency, who have succeeded in penetrating parliamentary seats through case study techniques during the research. The communication pattern that marks the women’s success in election contestation can be a guide or reference when other women party politicians enter politics and advance to become legislature members. This research is limited to women members of the legislature who come from the Golkar Party. The results showed that the success of women members of the Regional Legislative Assembly (DPRD) from the Golkar party in occupying seats in the DPRD was partly due to the communication patterns they succeeded in establishing. They build vertical, horizontal, formal, and informal communication patterns that apply more social and cultural approaches. The uniqueness is when social media is used as a tool for political campaigns today, the communication strategy developed by those women legislative candidates of the Golkar party does not take advantage of social media. This is because the targeted constituents are people in remote areas, so the communication pattern through a direct face-to-face approach is much more impactful than social media.Keywords: Women DPRD members of Karawang Regency, political communication patterns, 2019 general election ABSTRAKDalam dinamika pemilihan umum (pemilu) pembahasan mengenai calon anggota legislatif perempuan selalu menjadi topik yang menarik karena adanya proporsi 30% caleg perempuan yang selalu sulit dipenuhi oleh setiap partai politik. Sulitnya calon anggota legislatif perempuan menembus kursi parlemen merupakan masalah yang harus dicarikan solusinya. Dengan demikian, perlu dilakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk merumuskan bagaimana pola komunikasi yang telah dilakukan oleh para politisi perempuan di Kabupaten Karawang yang telah berhasil menembus kursi parlemen dengan studi kasus sebagai teknik penelitian. Pola komunikasi yang menandai keberhasilan kaum perempuan dalam kontestasi pemilu ini dapat menjadi pedoman ataupun acuan ketika pihak lain yang juga perempuan akan terjun ke dunia politik dan akan maju menjadi anggota legislatif. Penelitian ini dibatasi hanya pada anggota legislatif perempuan yang berasal dari Partai Golkar. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan para anggota DPRD perempuan dari Partai Golkar dalam menduduki kursi di DPRD salah satunya disebabkan oleh pola komunikasi yang berhasil mereka bangun. Adapun pola komunikasi yang mereka bangun tersebut adalah pola komunikasi vertikal, horizontal, formal, informal yang lebih cenderung menerapkan pendekatan sosial dan budaya. Saat media sosial dijadikan alat kampanye politik dewasa ini, strategi komunikasi yang dibangun para calon anggota legislatif perempuan di Kabupaten Karawang yang berasal dari Partai Golkar ini tidak memanfaatkan media sosial. Hal ini disebabkan konstituen yang menjadi sasarannya adalah masyarakat pelosok yang belum memiliki pemahaman awam terhadap teknologi sehingga pola komunikasi melalui tatap mula langsung jauh lebih berdampak dibandingkan dengan penggunaan media sosial.Kata Kunci: Anggota DPRD perempuan Kabupaten Karawang, pola komunikasi politik, Pemilu 2019

Abstract

The research entitled "Identity and self-disclosure of a fandom (phenomenological study of the identity and self-disclosure of male fandoms who love Korean Boyband in Karawang)" has an identification problem that seeks to find meaning in Korean Boyband for a man. fandoms who love Korean boybands, looking for motives to become a fandom of Korean boyband lovers, as well as finding out how to experience communication to become a male fandom of Korean boyband lovers. This is interesting because around the researcher, there are already many male fandoms who like Korean boybands, where not many know the reasons they like Korean boybands so that researchers want to examine the construction of the meaning of male fandoms who love Korean boybands. This study uses a qualitative method and a phenomenological approach, because in this study the researcher examines a phenomenon with the aim of finding the meaning of male fandom who loves Korean boybands. The research is going well, the researcher must examine it in depth so that the informant will provide true information. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas komunikasi guru kepada siswa selama PJJ di BBC-ETS Karawang. Untuk menjawab masalah diatas, maka peneliti mengangkat 3 rumusan masalah mikro yaitu, situasi komunikatif, peristiwa komunikatif, dan tindakan komunikatif, menggunakan penjelasan dari Dell Hymes. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif etnografi komunikasi . Dengan menggunakkan teknik pengumpulan informan purposive sampling, peneliti mendapatkan informasi dari 1 (satu) informan kunci serta 2 (dua) informan pendukung. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu: observasi non partisipan, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh oleh peneliti, bahwa pada situasi komunikatif terjadi dalam konteks belajar mengajar terjadwal secara daring melalui Google Meet sebagai media utama pengganti ruang kelas dengan suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, akrab, dinamis dan tetap kondusif. Pada peristiwa komunikatif terdapat seluruh komponen komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa, sehingga dapat dikatakan komunikasi yang terjadi yaitu dengan komunikasi kelompok. Pada tindakan komunikatif guru kepada siswa selama PJJ di BBC-ETS Karawang yaitu berkomunikasi menggunakan komunikasi verbal dan gerakan secara non verbal. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa Aktivitas Komunikasi Guru Kepada Siswa Selama PJJ Di BBC-ETS Karawang merupakan proses komunikasi guru kepada para siswa yang khas dan sudah menjadi sebuah kebiasaan sejak PJJ dilaksanakan pertama kali di BBC-ETS Karawang.

Abstract

Bisnis kuliner sendiri adalah salah satu bisnis yang berkembang cukup pesat dan memiliki potensi yang cukup besar untuk berkembang. Namun, dengan adanya pandemi COVID-19 saat ini, memberikan dampak bagi kelangsungan bisnis yang dijalankan oleh The Crunchy sebagai pendatang baru. Maka itu, diperlukan strategi pengembangan usaha yang cocok untuk diterapkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini sendiri adalah untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan usaha yang tepat dan menemukan berbagai alternatif strategi dalam mengembangkan usaha The Crunchy di Karawang pada masa pandemi COVID-19 serta memahami faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhi usaha. Terkait proses pengumpulan data, teknik mengumpulkan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner. Metode analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity, threat) dengan perhitungan IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Summary) dan EFAS (External Factor Analysis Summary). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa The Crunchy berada dalam perkembangan atau pertumbuhan dimana strategi yang tepat dilakukan adalah penetrasi pasar. Selain itu, alternatif strategi pengembangan usaha antara lain, menerapkan strategi pertumbuhan dan strategi pertumbuhan agresif (growth oriented strategy) dengan mengembangkan segala potensi yang dimiliki, menerapkan strategi penetrasi pasar, serta penerapan strategi Strenghts-Opportunities (SO) dimana strategi ini memakai strength yang dimiliki oleh The Crunchy untuk memanfaatkan peluang yang tersedia dalam mengembangkan usahanya.

Abstract

The Karawang Regency's progress in reducing maternal mortality through an expanding (EMAS) program does not inherently reduce maternal mortality. The change in the incidence of postpartum mother mortality has led the Government of the Karawang Regency to a breakthrough by implementing an appreciation of the level of mothers’ comprehension during the postpartum period between fathers. This research investigated the extent of the father's communication process in Kelas Bapak (Lit: Father Class) to improve the father's awareness of maternal health over the postpartum. This study employs descriptive qualitative methods of research. The study results found that Kelas Bapak inspired families to treat maternal health at the Regional General Hospital of Karawang Regency during the postpartum period. This study concludes that one of the causes of a father's lack of understanding about his mother is that his mother's health is unconcerned during the postpartum period.

Abstract

This study aims to determine family communication to prevent COVID-19. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods by collecting interview data. This study shows that family communication used by parents and children is very useful in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in Kerrawang Regency. The process of delivering messages related to the dangers of COVID-19 by parents can change children's understanding and behaviour so that preventive actions occur. This research contributes in the form of recommendations to every family so that they can comply with health protocols and always socialise with family members and the community to get used to healthy living by opening airflow in every room in the house, regulating interactions by using masks and keeping a distance in activities at home and outside the house.

Abstract

Mood issues are often seen during childbirth. These mood disorders may vary in severity from moderate to severe, such as the baby blues syndrome and postpartum depression. Postpartum depression is a more severe kind of mood illness than the baby blues syndrome and may impair mothers' ability to perform their duties and care for their infants. Postpartum moms' lack of understanding regarding baby blues syndrome and postpartum depression, or at the very least the lack of information owned by mothers, may have an effect on factors affecting postpartum mental health. This circumstance makes it more difficult for new moms to get more information, particularly concerning the baby blues and postpartum depression. The program, which is provided by a team of academics and students, aims to provide counseling on health communication literacy in order to avoid baby blues and postpartum depression. This community service team is made up of three leactures and numerous students from Singaperbangsa Karawang University's Department of Communication Studies. This therapy is designed to boost postpartum moms' understanding and awareness of the critical nature of mental health. The team conducted a pretest before to therapy and a posttest after counseling to see how much the mother's knowledge on preventing baby blues syndrome and postpartum depression improved. Following outreach initiatives, it can be stated that pregnant women now have a greater understanding of how to avoid baby blues syndrome and postpartum depression

Abstract

The presence of a baby in the family becomes a happy event, but it turns out that the feeling of happiness is not immediately felt by the mother who gave birth. Improper information regarding postnatal mental health makes childbirth a sad thing for a mother. This study aims to construct experiences, feelings, and meanings regarding Postpartum Depression. So that by knowing the experiences, feelings, and meanings about Postpartum Depression, information about the condition of women after giving birth can be better. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. This study was conducted on 8 women who experienced Postpartum Depression after giving birth to their first child or second child. Data was collected by means of unstructured interviews with open-ended questions. This research is useful for seekers of information about Postpartum Depression where they will know how to avoid being exposed to Postpartum Depression.

Abstract

Media sosial bukan hanya menjadi sarana media komunikasi saja, melainkan sebagai wadah dalam melakukan upaya pencarian informasi salah satunya yaitu Tiktok. Adapun konten kreator Tiktok dengan berbagai background salah satunya pada akun dokter RL yang kerap membagikan konten mengenai informasi perawatan diri. Dengan lahirnya konten kreator yang mengunggah konten yang mengandung unsur informasi maka tak jarang masyarakat yang melakukan pencarian informasi di media sosial Tiktok untuk memenuhi kebutuhan khususnya terkait perawatan diri pada akun media sosial dokter RL. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana perilaku pencarian informasi oleh media aplikasi Tiktok dalam pemanfaatan informasi yang diperoleh dari akun Tiktok dokter RL. Adapun penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan peneliti dengan menggunakan teknik berupa wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Dari hasil wawancara dapat disimpulkan bahwa perilaku pencarian informasi pengikut akun Tiktok dokter RL mengenai perawatan diri secara keseluruhan relevan dengan model perilaku informasi yang dicetuskan oleh Niedźwiedzka (2003). Dimana pada model Niedźwiedzka (2003) tersebut meliputi (1) Identification of information need, (2) Decision to seek information, (3) Information seeking, (4) Selection and processing of information, (5) Information application. Adapun tujuan pencarian informasi yang dilakukan oleh para informan bukan untuk kebutuhan penelitiannya dan hanya untuk keperluan kebutuhan keseharian mereka yakni melakukan perawatan diri. Dengan begitu, pada tahap dan decision to seek information dan information seeking para informan kerap melakukan kedua tahap tersebut secara bersamaan sehingga tidak adanya kejelasan dalam pembeda

Abstract

Following the government's advice during the COVID-19 pandemic, which urges people to stay at home and avoid crowds, this has resulted in increased use of social media, one of which is twitter. Twitter is made by the community as a means to interact with other people who are considered so effective. Usually twitter users will use their personal identity in creating their accounts. However, as time goes by, currently there are some of them who become twitter users with their own identity. They will use a pseudonym where this type of user can be known as a pseudonym (cyber account). Although these pseudonymous (cyber account) users are anonymous, not many of them are self-disclosing between their fellow pseudonymous (cyber account) users. This study was conducted with the aim of knowing how the barriers to interpersonal communication in self-disclosure are intertwined with pseudonymous account users (cyber account) on Twitter. The results of this study are to see how the barriers of pseudonymous account users (cyber account) in conducting interpersonal communication regarding self-disclosure which consists of several factors: fear of self-disclosure if it is too excessive, negative perceptions of others about ourselves, self-rejection.
