Abstract

The Ministry of Education and Culture has instructed the distance learning system (e-learning) to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. E-learning must be implemented by all educational units without exception. This study aims to analyze the obstacles that occur during the implementation of e-learning. The type of research is descriptive qualitative. The primary data were collected directly from main sources through interviews with 4 Digital Immigrant Teachers at Pondok Ranggon 01 Pagi Elementary School, Cipayung District, DKI Jakarta. The results indicated that the Digital Immigrant Teachers at Pondok Ranggon 01 Pagi Elementary School were quite capable of doing the e-learning technology. However, when using E-learning platforms, some elements might be considered as obstacles in e-learning such as limited internet access and lack of proficiency in operating e-learning applications. Recommendations from this study on the implementation of e-learning increase literacy in the use of communication technology as part of the communication strategy for implementing government policies. Abstrak Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan mengeluarkan kebijakan untuk menjalankan proses Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) yang harus diikuti seluruh guru dan murid di Indonesia tanpa terkecuali dalam rangka penanganan pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hambatan yang terjadi pada saat pelaksanaan PJJ. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data primer diambil melalui depth-interview kepada 4 orang guru digital immigrant di SD Pondok Ranggon 01 Pagi Kecamatan Cipayung DKI Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukan guru digital immigrant di SD Pondok Ranggon 01 Pagi berhasil menerapkan dan beradaptasi dengan teknologi meskipun dibutuhkan literasi yang dilakukan secara berkesinambungan oleh pihak sekolah. Berbagai hambatan yang terjadi yaitu buruknya sinyal internet, keterbatasan kuota, serta kesulitan untuk menggunakan aplikasi yang disiapkan oleh pemerintah. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini terhadap pelaksanaan PJJ meningkatkan literasi penggunaan teknologi komunikasi sebagai bagian dari strategi komunikasi pelaksanaan kebijakan pemerintah.

Abstract

(Korean Popular Culture as A ‘Lethal Weapon’: A Journey Towards Nation Branding of the Republic of Korea) The crisis that occurred in 1997 was experienced by the Republic of Korea as a sign that today the Republic of Korea has become a developed country. The government of the Republic of Korea took the initiative to borrow funds from the IMF for the first time in the history of Korea. The Republic of Korea's turnaround process was revived from adversity due to the impact of the crisis, which led to a day called "National Embarrassment Day". After the funds from the IMF are in the hands of the ROK government, the next duty is to use these funds wisely to restore the economic conditions. Based on the above facts, the purpose of this research was to analyze popular culture as a process of nation branding in South Korea. The method in this research was qualitative with a case study approach, the data obtained comes from in-depth interviews, non-participant observation and literature review. This research concludes that the crisis is an initial process for the Korean government's initiative to take bold and anti-mainstream steps. The funds obtained from the IMF were used to produce popular culture, which was then used as a tool by the government and expanded to restore the country's economic condition, the government's initiative at that time brought about major changes in the current economic condition of the Republic of Korea, and popular culture became the nation branding of the Republic of Korea.

Abstract

Popular culture arises in the midst of people's lives in various forms, such as from what people consume, what people see, what people watch, what people listen to, and what people wear. Popular culture sulks at the popularity of Korean entertainment and culture in other countries such as Korean Pop and Korean fashion. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between interest in using Korean fashion on Instagram with impulsive buying behavior in UNSIKA Communication Science students 2020 by looking at 2 indicators, visibility and attractions. This study used a quantitative approach with simple linear regression analysis, and with the support of Uses and Effect theory. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires and literature studies. The results of this study found that the visibility of Korean fashion has a relationship between interest in using Korean fashion with impulsive buying behavior, and also Korean fashion attractions and the use of fashion by Korean idols has a relationship between interest in using Korean fashion with impulsive buying behavior.

Abstract

Online shopping refers to the act of purchasing goods or services over the internet. It offers many benefits, including convenience, comfort, speed, and a wide variety of products to choose from. Online shopping can also save time and transportation costs. This study aims to investigate the motives, meanings, and experiences of individuals, specifically students of the Communication Studies Program at Singaperbangsa Karawang University, who engage in online shopping through live streaming on Tiktok social media. The study seeks to understand the reasons and motivations behind this behavior, as well as the experiences and perceptions of those who participate in it. This study uses a constructivism paradigm with a qualitative method. With Alfred Schutz’s phenomenological approach, it can be concluded that the motives for the informants to shop online through live streaming on Tiktok social media are due to the discounts offered and curiosity. The informants also have their own experiences, both positive and negative, that form meanings for the informants such as financial saviors, primary shopping places, and enjoyable shopping activities.

Abstract

This research discusses how changes in the self-concept of adolescent children can occur through changes in parental communication patterns. The theory that is used as a reference in this research is symbolic interaction theory, which in this theory will discuss how the results of the meaning obtained by teenagers from the results of the communication patterns used by their parents. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive study approach. The results in this study reveal that through changes in communication used by parents can change the self-concept carried by children. The final conclusion obtained in this study is that both the selection of communication patterns and the level of quality of affection in the family will greatly affect changes in self-concept for adolescents

Abstract

Communication is a very decisive aspect for the delivery of public services, so service providers must know how to communicate well so that they can influence others in the service. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Interviews were conducted with informants determined by purposive sampling, the informants were employees who handled services at DLHK Karawang, and the society who received services. And use one of three important aspects/dimensions in public service communication, namely Institution/Corporate Image. The results showed that, communication of public services provided by the PPL DLHK Karawang had given a pretty good impression. Communities and companies have received complete information and good service, because important aspects/dimensions in service communication already exist in the DLHKKarawang. However there are still some shortcomings, DLHKKarawang does not have brochures, leaflets or films about services. Yet in the implementation of public service communication must pay attention to all things that can support the achievement of the goal of providing excellent service.Keywords: Communication, Public Services, institution image, Communication Public Services.Komunikasi merupakan aspek yang sangat menentukan bagi pelakasanan pelayanan publik maka petugas pemberi layanan harus mengetahui bagaimana berkomunikasi yang baik sehingga mampu mempengaruhi orang lain dalam pelayanan. Penelitian ini mengguanakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Wawancara dilakukan terhadap informan yang ditentukan secara purposive sampling, informan tersebut yaitu pegawai yang menangani pelayanan di DLHK Kabupaten Karawang, dan masyarakat yang menerima layanan.Serta menggunakan satu dari tiga aspek/dimensi penting dalam komunikasi pelayanan publik yaitu Institution/Corporate Image.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, komunikasi pelayanan publik yang diberikan oleh bidang PPL DLHK Kabupaten Karawang sudah memberika kesan yang cukup baik.Masyarakat maupun perusahaan sudah mendapatkan informasi yang lengkap dan pelayanan yang baik, karena aspek/dimensi penting dalam komunikasi pelayanan sudah ada pada DLHK Kabupaten Karawang.Namun masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan yaitu,DLHK Kabupaten Karawangtidak memiliki brosur, leaflet maupun film tentang pelayanan. Padahal dalam pelaksanaan komunikasi pelayanan publik haruslah memerhatikan semua hal yang dapat mendukung tercapainya tujuan pemberian pelayanan yang prima.Kata Kunci: Komunikasi, Pelayanan Publik, institution image, Komunikasi Pelayanan Publik.

Abstract

The research entitled “The Effect of Using the ShopeePayLater Payment Feature on Impulse buying Behavior” is a quantitative study that aims to determine the effect of using the ShopeePayLater payment feature on impulse buying behavior. This study uses a survey method. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used a questionnaire which was processed with SPSS. It is hoped that this research will be useful for developing theories related to impulse buying behavior and the use of ShopeePaylater. As well as being a source of information and adding insight so that you can be wiser in using payment methods. Apart from being a reference for further research, this research is also useful as an information provider for ShopeePaylater product and service developers. Based on the results of the study, it shows that there is an effect of the ShopeePayLater payment method on the impulse buying behavior of ShopeePayLater users of Singaperbangsa University students. The reason is because the ease of the transaction process and supported by attractive promos, such as free shipping, discounted prices, and cashback promos, can easily attract them to make purchases. This is included in irrational purchases or without thinking about the use value of the products they buy. Suggestions for ShopeePayLater users to be wiser and consider carefully the function/usefulness of the items they will buy. Should buy goods that are really needed in order to avoid impulse buying behavior.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the presence of an online shopping application that is currently being discussed, namely Shopee. The Shopee application is in great demand by teenagers to adults, but not a few also think that the Shopee application can have a bad influence on its users. However, there is also a positive side that can be taken from the Shopee application, namely as a means of purchasing the desired goods or services online without having to leave the house. Seeing this phenomenon, researchers are interested in being used as research on the effect of using the Shopee application on consumptive behavior. This study aims to find out how the intensity and content of messages using the Shopee application on consumptive attitudes of students of the Communication Studies Program at Singaperbangsa Karawang University class of 2017. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis with support from Uses and gratification Theory with research subjects namely Communication Science students Unsika communication science class 2017. The data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire/questionnaire and literature study. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis, classical assumptions, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study found that the intensity of the use of the Shopee application had an effect on the consumptive behavior of students of the 2017 Communication Science Study Program, Singaperbangsa Karawang University, and also the message content of the use of the Shopee application affected the consumptive behavior of students of the 2017 Communication Studies Program, Singaperbangsa Karawang University.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the role of family communication in the decision-making process of early marriage among teenagers. The study utilizes a qualitative descriptive method to gain an in-depth understanding of the observed phenomenon. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with teenagers who have experienced early marriage, their parents, and other family members involved in the decision-making process. The research also involved participatory observation within the teenagers' family environment to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the social, cultural, and influencing factors of early marriage decision-making. The results of this study indicate that family communication plays a significant role in the decision-making process of early marriage among teenagers. Open, honest, and empathetic communication among family members helps teenagers understand the consequences, risks, and long-term impacts of early marriage. Effective communication also enables families to convey values, norms, and expectations related to marriage to teenagers. Additionally, the research identifies several factors that influence family communication in the context of early marriage decision-making. These factors include social, cultural, economic, educational, and personal factors of the teenagers. Gender inequality, lack of education, cultural pressures, and poverty are some of the factors that influence family communication in the context of early marriage among teenagers. The findings of this research have important implications for the development of programs and interventions aimed at preventing early marriage among teenagers. In the context of family communication, these programs should encourage open communication and support the positive role of the family in helping teenagers make informed decisions and providing realistic understanding of marriage. Abstract

The research discussed in this journal focuses on the communication patterns of teachers and students with autism at SDIT Mutiara Hati Tambun Selatan. Students with autism are those who have an interaction impairment, have difficulty communicating with their surroundings, cannot look others in the eye, and prefer to withdraw into their own world. The objective of this study was (1) to explore interpersonal communication patterns between teachers and students with autism at SDIT Mutiara Hati Tambun Selatan. (2) Aims to learn the verbal or nonverbal communication used in the admission of autistic children at Mutiara Hati Tambun Selatan Integrated Islamic Primary School. (3) Exploring factors that support and hinder teaching and learning activities at Mutiara Hati Tambun Selatan Integrated Islamic Primary School. With qualitative descriptive research method. The theory used in this study is that Devito's five positive attitudes support interpersonal communication. The results of this study suggest that students with autism who attend regular private schools with other normal children report that interpersonal communication or interpersonal communication patterns are use is more likely in the form of verbal or oral communication with repetition (drill) and the use of slow intonation and soft language. During this time, nonverbal communication is used more in the form of movements interspersed with stories, or smiles, hand gestures, as a form of appreciation for the positive things that students have. autistic have done with the purpose that they have confidence in themselves to interact with their surroundings. keyword: communication pattern, interpersonal communication, verbal communication, nonverbal communication, students with autism
