Abstract

Although information systems are increasingly used to support organizational decision processes, understanding of how statistical analysis is applied within these systems and how it contributes to decision quality remains limited. This study aims to examine the application of statistical analysis in information systems to support data-driven decision making. Using a literature review approach, this study analyzes relevant scientific articles on statistical analysis, information systems, business intelligence, decision support systems, and data-driven decision making. The findings indicate that statistical analysis plays a central role in transforming data into meaningful information through descriptive analysis, correlation, regression, prediction, classification, and data visualization. Its integration into information systems enables organizations to understand actual conditions, identify patterns, estimate trends, and formulate more objective decision recommendations. This study concludes that the integration of statistical analysis in information systems can improve evidence-based, measurable, and organizationally relevant decision making. The study contributes to the literature by clarifying the analytical role of statistical methods in information systems and provides practical implications for organizations seeking to strengthen decision quality through data-driven approaches.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi adat tradisi mantu melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada peserta didik kelas XI TP 3 SMK Negeri 1 Kaligondang. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya keterampilan menulis peserta didik, kurangnya inisiatif mencari bahan literasi, serta metode pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam satu siklus selama dua pertemuan. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes, penugasan, dan dokumentasi, dengan analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan menulis peserta didik, dengan rata-rata nilai akhir 84 dan tingkat ketuntasan mencapai 83,3%. Model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang aktif dan kolaboratif, memotivasi peserta didik untuk berpikir kritis, serta meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi adat tradisi mantu. Penelitian ini mendukung rekomendasi penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi lain yang membutuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kolaborasi.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has led to an increasing demand for effective security systems to protect user information. One popular method is two-factor authentication (2FA), which adds another layer of protection beyond passwords. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of 2FA implementation in increasing user trust when accessing digital services. The method used in this study was a quantitative approach, collecting data through questionnaires administered to a group of respondents who use digital applications. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to explore the relationship between 2FA use and user trust levels. The study findings indicate that most respondents feel more secure and trust systems that use 2FA compared to those that only implement single-factor authentication. Furthermore, the statistical analysis indicates a positive correlation between 2FA implementation and increased user trust. Thus, it can be concluded that user views of 2FA are generally positive. This research is expected to serve as a reference for system developers in improving user security and convenience.

Abstract

This study aims to apply the linear regression method in analyzing the trend of internet usage via mobile phones across all provinces in Indonesia based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the period 2020–2024. Internet access through mobile phones is the dominant medium in Indonesia, with the national average ranging from 98.25% to 99.11% during the period. This study uses secondary data from BPS covering 34 provinces in Indonesia. The analysis method used is simple linear regression with year as the independent variable (X) and the national average percentage of internet usage via mobile phones as the dependent variable (Y). The analysis produced the regression equation Y = -276.01 + 0.1853X with a coefficient of determination R² = 0.7831, meaning approximately 78.31% of the variation in internet usage growth can be explained by the time factor (year). Based on this regression model, internet usage via mobile phones in Indonesia is predicted to reach 99.27% in 2025. The results indicate a consistent positive trend in mobile internet usage in Indonesia, although provincial variations exist.
