Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the students during the learning activity and the lack of understanding of mathematical concepts students are still low . The study aims to determine the understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray with LKS better than an understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning class VIII SMP 21  Batanghari Jambi and see the activities of the students during the learning of mathematics with application of cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray with LKS to the understanding of the concept matematis. This research is experimental , with random design on the subject . The instrument used was an essay test and observation sheets . Hypothesis testing using the U Mann-Whitney test with the MINITAB program obtained p-value = 0.000 is less than α, then reject H0. It can be concluded that the understanding of mathematical concepts with cooperative learning model Two Stay Two tray with LKS better than an understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning students with a confidence level of 95%.

Abstract

Students' abilities can be developed through lectures,one of which is variable English for mathematics. In order for the maximum tuition required of a material that can support course lectures. In West Sumatra, Padang PGRI STKIP students only rely on one textbook only when the lectures, so the motivation and low student interest in learning. Therefore it takes a lecture materials that can help facilitate students in the lecture, which is a LKM. The purpose of this study is to develop a LKM valid, practical and effective in subjects STKIP PGRI English for mathematics in West Sumatra. This study is a research development. This LKM was developed by using the 4D model (define, design, develop, and desseminate). Phase desseminate not done. The data was collected with the validation and testing of the LKM. LKM is validated by the lecturer and expert English for mathematics, as well as Indonesian lecturers. Tests carried out on mathematics education students STKIP PGRI West Sumatra to know practicality and effectiveness of the LKM. The results showed that: LKM have been effective. This is evident from the activities of students and high motivation to learn after the lecture.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan ilmu yang sangat erat hubungannya dengan kehidupan sehari- hari dan merupakan konsep dasar bagi ilmu-ilmu lain.  akan tetapi banyak guru yang mengeluh pada saat mempelajari matematika diantaranya guru kurang cekatan dan kurang terampil dalam menyelesaikan persoalan yang berhubungan dengan berhitung khususnya menyelesaikan persoalan dalam materi perkalian. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berupa pelatihan kepada Guru-guru SDN 02 Lubuk Buaya dengan materi jarimatika perkalian, diharapkan dengan melatih Guru-Guru, nantinya akan berdampak kepada kemampuan guru dalam memahami konsep-konsep dasar Matematika. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 4 kali pertemuan. Pesertanya adalah Guru- Guru SDN 02 Lubuk Buaya. Selama kegiatan berlangsung dapat dilihat semangat dan antusias yang tinggi dari peserta. Hasil evaluasi  yang diadakan, menyatakan bahwa peserta sangat puas dengan hasil pelatihan ini dan menginginkan pelatihan ini dilanjutkan lagi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh siswa tidak berani bertanya terhadap materi pelajaran yang tidak dipahami dan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe questions students have lebih baik dari pada pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional di kelas VIII SMPN. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian random terhadap subjek. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN. Terpilih menjadi kelas sampel adalah kelas VIII.8 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII.5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 0,2159 dan ttabel 1,671 dapat disimpulkan H0 yaitu pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMPN dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe questions students have hampir sama dengan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan menerapkan pemebelajaran konvensional di kelas VIII SMPN

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk kesalahan yang dilakukan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah matematika khususnya soal kontekstual pada materi Program Linier dan mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab kesalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskripstif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Gunung Tuleh yang telah dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data berupa tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah matematika, peserta didik kelompok tinggi melakukan kesalahan jenis B, C, dan D, kelompok sedang melakukan kesalahan jenis A, B, dan C, kelompok rendah melakukan kesalahan jenis A, B, C, dan D. Penyebab terjadinya kesalahan-kesalahan tersebut adalah karena peserta didik belum bisa memahami dan menguasai materi pelajaran dengan baik, peserta didik tidak terbiasa mengerjakan soal pemecahan masalah matematika khusunya soal kontekstual. Peserta didik belum bisa mengaitkan permasalahan dengan konsep dan prinsip matematika yang relevan, peserta didik kurang teliti, ceroboh, dan terburu-buru saat mengerjakan soal

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Batang Anai tahun pelajaran 2016/2017, siswa malu bertanya dan tidak berani mengeluarkan pendapat di dalam kelas, siswa hanya mengerti saat mendengarkan penjelasan dari guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui apakah pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan menerapkan Teknik Spotlight lebih baik dari pada pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas VIII SMPN 1 Batang Anai Padang Pariaman. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimen, dengan rancangan penelitian random terhadap subjek. Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Batang Anai tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang terdiri dari enam kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak, terpilih kelas VIII2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instumen penelitian adalah tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Bentuk tes yang digunakan adalah bentuk uraian dengan reliabilitas tes 0,780. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t satu pihak. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai thitung =1,833 dan ttabel= 1,67. Hipotesis diterima karena thitung > ttabel, sehingga hipotesis yang diajukan diterima pada taraf nyata α = 0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan penerapan strategi spotlight lebih baik daripada pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional di kelas VIII SMPN 1 Batang Anai.Kata Kunci: Spotlight, Pemahaman Konsep.AbstractThis research is motivated by the lack of understanding of mathematical concepts in the VIII class at SMPN 1 Batang Anai 2016/2017 school year, students are embarrassed to ask and do not come forward and speak in the classroom, the students only understand when listening to the explanation from the teacher. This study aims to determine whether the student's understanding of mathematical concepts by applying the technique Spotlight better than on understanding mathematical concepts students with conventional learning in the VIII class at SMPN 1 Batang Anai, Padang Pariaman. This type of research is experimental research, the design of randomized trials on the subject. The study population was all students of class VIII SMPN 1 Batang Anai 2016/2017 academic year consisting of six classes. The sampling technique is done randomly selected the VIII2 class as an experimental class and the VIII4 class as the control class. Research instrument is a test of understanding mathematical concepts. The shape of the test used is the narrative form with the reliability of the test. The data analysis technique used is the test of the party. Based on the hypothesis test results obtained by value t = 1.833 and table = 1.67. Accepted hypothesis for t> t table, so the hypothesis is accepted at significance level α = 0.05. It can be concluded that students understanding of mathematical concepts with the application strategy better spotlight than understanding students mathematical concepts with conventional learning in the class of VIII at SMPN 1 Batang Anai.Keyword: Spotlight, understanding of concepts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh banyaknya kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas XI MIPA 4 SMAN 2 Solok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan wawancara. Hasil tes dianalisis berdasarkan indikator pemecahan masalah dengan memperhatikan jenis kesalahan menurut Kastolan. Kesalahan menurut Kastolan itu ialah kesalahan konseptual, kesalahan prosedural dan kesalahan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa banyak melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah matematis. Yang kemudian diperkuat dengan adanya hasil wawancara yang dilakukan dengan siswa. Kata kunci: Pemecahan masalah, analisis kesalahan, jenis kesalahan menurut Kastolan Abstract:. This research is motivated by the many mistakes that students make in solving problem solving problems. The purpose of this study is to find out the students' mistakes in solving mathematical problem solving problems of grade XI students of MIPA 4 SMAN 2 Solok. The research method used is descriptive with qualitative approach. The instruments used are tests and interviews. The test results are analyzed based on troubleshooting indicators by paying attention to the type of error according to Kastolan. Kastolan's mistakes were conceptual errors, procedural errors and engineering errors. The results showed that most students make a lot of mistakes in solving mathematical problem solving problems. Abstract

Bahan ajar yang tersedia belum mampu membuat siswa untuk berpikir aktif, terutama pada materi Teorema Pythagoras. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menghasilkan LKPD berbasis Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) yang valid dan praktis. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Research and Development dengan mengacu pada model pengembangan Plomp. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar validasi, lembar angket praktikalitas, dan pedoman wawancara. Uji kepraktisan melibatkan 6 orang siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP di Padang. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian validator diperoleh persentase penilaian akhir kevalidan 85% (sangat valid). Nilai akhir uji coba kepraktisan dengan guru dan siswa diperoleh persentase 88,1% (sangat praktis). Disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education pada materi Teorema Pythagoras sudah layak digunakan. The available teaching materials have not been able to make students think actively, especially in the Pythagorean Theorem material. The research aims to produce a valid and practical Realistic Mathematics Education (RME)-based LKPD. The type of research used is Research and Development research concerning the Plomp development model. The instruments used were validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and interview guidelines. The practical test involved 6 grade VIII students of one of the SMP in Padang. Based on the results of the validator's assessment, the percentage of the final validity assessment was 85% (very valid). The final value of practicality trials with teachers and students obtained a percentage of 88.1% (very practical). It was concluded that the LKPD based on Realistic Mathematics Education on the Pythagorean Theorem material was appropriate to use.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students' mathematics. Low learning outcomes are characteristics of students experiencing obstacles or obstacles during the learning process. This study aims to describe and analyze the factors that cause students' learning difficulties in mathematics. The sample of this study amounted to 32 students of class XI IPS 4 SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Limau. The type of research used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The instrument used is a learning difficulty questionnaire, interview sheets and documentation to strengthen the results of the questionnaire answers. The data analysis technique of this research is the analysis of questionnaires and interviews. The results of this study indicate that: 1) internal factors that affect learning difficulties are described as follows, in the indicator of readiness in learning as much as 71.8% in the category of very influential on the learning process, on motivation indicators as much as 29% in the category of being quite influential in the learning process , on the indicator of interest as much as 53% with the category influential in the mathematics learning process and the health indicator as much as 50.6% with the category having an effect on learning mathematics. 2) external factors that affect learning difficulties in mathematics are as follows, indicators of family factors in learning as much as 37.5% with a category that is quite influential on the mathematics learning process, on school indicators as much as 51.5% with categories that affect the online learning process and on environmental indicators community as much as 39.6% with the category quite influential on the student learning process.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the learning system in Indonesia was carried out online. In the context of learning mathematics for junior high school students, especially algebra material, this online learning system makes students confused and do not focus on the learning material. As a result, students are unable to answer or complete or solve the algebra problems given. This situation then has a big impact on learning outcomes. For that reason, this research propose Android-Based Learning Media using MIT App Inventor on Algebra Materials. This research designed as part of development which conducted the assessment phase. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that Android-Based Learning Media using MIT App Inventor on Algebra Materials obtained a value of 89.67% with the valid category from the expert, practicality test results scored 82.44% students with very practical categories. As the conclusion the android-based MIT App Inventor learning media on algebra material is appropriate for use in the learning process.
