Abstract

Teachers must carry out Classroom Action Research (CAR) as an effort to solve problems experienced during learning so that effective solutions are obtained. The results of CAR should be published as a form of accountability for research results and as a reference for determining innovative policies in the field of education. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct training for teachers to publish the results of CAR in national journals. This training is carried out online by providing material and also guidance in the preparation of articles resulting from CAR. The training was attended by 30 teachers in Garut district. The result of this training is that teachers are motivated to make CAR and publish the results in national journals. It is hoped that further training can specifically provide guidance on submitting articles to national journals and can be carried out offline.

Abstract

Abstract

Numeracy literacy skills are influenced by various factors, one of which is low student interest, which can reduce learning motivation and subsequently affect critical thinking and mathematical problem-solving abilities. This study aims to implement the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to enhance students’ literacy, numeracy, and motivation in learning mathematics. The research employed a classroom action research design consisting of three cycles, each including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Teaching modules, student worksheets, and evaluation instruments were systematically developed and refined in each cycle. The subjects were 25 students from class IX-E at SMPN 4 Tarogong Kidul, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using written tests, observations, and questionnaires. Data analysis combined descriptive statistics in the form of percentages and qualitative descriptive analysis, including data reduction, systematic presentation of findings through narratives and tables, and conclusion drawing. The results showed a substantial improvement in students’ literacy and numeracy skills, with 68% of students demonstrating measurable progress, accompanied by increased learning motivation. Although the outcome did not fully reach the predetermined 70% success indicator, the observed gains indicate that the implementation of the PBL model had a meaningful and positive impact on students’ mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop Wizer.Me-based Student Worksheets (LKS) on trigonometric functions to enhance senior high school students’ mathematical creative thinking skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The developed product was validated by a subject-matter expert and a media expert, and subsequently tested for its practicality and effectiveness. The trial subjects consisted of two mathematics teachers and nine twelfth-grade students. The validation results indicated that the worksheets were categorized as highly valid, with a percentage of 89.5% from the subject-matter expert and 85% from the media expert. The practicality test showed that the worksheets were considered highly practical, with an average percentage of 88.5%. The effectiveness test, based on students’ response questionnaires, indicated a highly effective category with a percentage of 87.33%. In addition, the results of the mathematical creative thinking skills test demonstrated improvement, with the N-gain scores falling within the moderate to high categories, particularly on the indicators of fluency and elaboration. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the developed Wizer.Me-based Student Worksheets are valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ mathematical creative thinking skills. Therefore, the Wizer.Me-based worksheets are feasible to be used as an alternative instructional medium in mathematics learning, particularly on trigonometric function topics at the senior high school level.Bottom of Form

Abstract

This study focuses on the development of Student Worksheets assisted by Wayground, which are utilized as supporting media in Cheerful Inquiry learning to improve junior high school students’ mathematical communication skills. The research method employed was Research and Development (R&D) using the ADII model. The research subjects consisted of 10 students from one junior high school in Garut Regency. The feasibility of the product was evaluated by media experts and material experts, as well as through small-group, medium-group, and large-group trials. The results of expert evaluations indicate that the design of the Wayground-assisted interactive worksheets falls into the good to very good category, with user assessment scores exceeding 80. The effectiveness test shows an N-Gain value of 0.81, which is classified as high. This indicates that the developed Wayground-supported student worksheets are effective in improving students’ mathematical communication skills. This media provides opportunities for students to develop mathematical communication skills through writing, drawing, and expressing mathematical concepts, while also creating an enjoyable and relatively conducive learning environment. Based on the research findings, the developed Wayground-assisted student worksheets are declared feasible for use in mathematics learning.   Keywords: Wayground; Cheerful Inquiry; Student Worksheets; Mathematical Communication Skills
