Abstract

This research aims to improve the science process skills of biology education students during the Covid 19 pandemic. This research was carried out at the Biology Education Study Program, the University of Flores, from May to July 2021. The type of research used is experimental research with observation and product assessment. The process skills, performance, and product assessment data are then analyzed using a simple statistical formula and then converted into value categories and interpreted based on the criteria. The quality of improving science process skills is measured using the N-gain formula and categorized based on the rubric of improvement interpretation. The results show that project-based learning based on local wisdom through google classroom is proven to train science process skills 85% to 89% in the good category with the quality test for improving science process skills in the high category. In addition, the results of measuring project performance skills that integrate the potential of local wisdom in the project get a score of 85% to 90% in the good and very good categories. Product ratings get an average score of 87% for product appearance and 83% for product quality, and both are in a good category. So, it can be concluded that the project-based learning (PjBl) model based on local wisdom through the google classroom media can train and improve several science process skills and performance can also increase the competence of prospective biology teacher students through real work of scientific product creativity.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian dilakukan atas pengamatan sepintas yang dilakukan oleh peneliti terhadap siput murbei (Pomacea sp) yang mati pada tambak dekat tanaman belimbing. Dari hasil pengamatan tersebut peneliti merasa tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian tentang kemungkinan penggunaan ekstrak belimbing (Averhoa belimbi L) sebagai pestisida alami terhadap siput murbei. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak belimbing terhadap populasi siput murbei, 2) berapa besar tingkat toksisitas ekstrak belimbing terhadap siput murbei (Pomacea sp). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Kosentrasi ekstrak belimbing yang dipakai adalah 25%,20%,15%, dan 10%. Keong mas (pomacea sp) yang digunakan berjumlah 500 ekor, masing-masing perlakuan digunakan 100 ekor dan dibagi dalam 4 ulangan. Masing-masing ulangan 25 ekor. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah angka mortalitas siput murbei dalam jangka waktu 7, 14, 21, dan 28 hari. Hasil pengamatan menunjukan bahwa kosentrasi ekstrak belimbing yang menyebabkan kematian siput murbei berturut-turut adalah kosentrasi, 25%, 20%, 15% dan 10%. Kosentrasi 25% berpengaruh signifikan terhadap mortalitas hewan uji, bila dibandingkan dengan kosentrasi 20%, 15%, dan 10%. Ekstrak belimbing pada kosentrasi 25% diminggu pertama menunjukan angka mortalitas yang tinggi dengan waktu yang lebih singkat dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lannya. Keempat kosentrasi ekstrak belimbing dengan dosis yang diberikan 140 ml dapat dikelompokan sebagai tingkat toksis yang sedikit toksis.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the competence of science teachers in implementing the Education Unit Level in SMP/MTs Ende Regency: the ability of teachers in terms of pedagogical and professional competence, pedagogic competence is limited to the ability in planning, implementation and evaluation, and professional competence is limited to the mastery of the material and educational background. This research was conducted eith survey approach. Subject were jujnior high school junior teachers, principals, and students at six school. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire, interview, observation guidelines, documentation. Data were analyzed by using qualitative descriptive analysis. The man score of the competence of science teachers in SMP/MTs Ende Regency, at 84,5 pedagogical competence and the excellent category of professional competence 32,22 very good category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of science laboratory management at SMP Negeri 1 Mamboro Central Sumba Regency. The management of IPA laboratory is restricted to laboratory facilities and infrastructures based on Permendiknas no. 24, 2007, science laboratory management at SMP Negeri 1 Mamaboro, and practicum activities in science laboratory at SMP Negeri 1 Mamboro.This research includes evaluative research with qualitative approach. The research subjects are science subjects, students of class VII and class VIII. The data were collected by observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation. The analysis used was descriptive analysis. The result of observation, interview and documentation analysis indicated that IPA laboratory facilities and infrastructures as supporting of IPA activities included in the appropriate category (S) have value of conformity with the overall standard of Permendiknas No. 24 of 2007 on facilities and infrastructure of IPA laboratory for 79. The results of interview analysis with science subject teachers and filling questionnaires by science subjects teachers on science laboratory management in SMP Negeri 1 Mamboro included in the appropriate category (S) with a value of 74.8. The results of the questionnaire analysis conducted by the students about the suitability of practicum activity showed the value of 66.8 and included in the appropriate category (S).

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether or not there are connections between classroom management with the achievement studied physics grade VIII semester 4 SMP Negeri 2 Ende. Correlation between classroom management and student learning achievements with the value amounting to 0.692 rxy. The results showed that there were significant relationships between classroom management with the achievement studied physics grade VIII semester 4 SMP Negeri 2 Ende. This is demonstrated by the acquisition of r_hitung value = 0,692 > r_tabel = 0,239 determination coefficient with the contribution amounted to 47.8%.

Abstract

The low score of students’ science learning outcomes at SMPN 1 Ndona during the covid 19 pandemic were caused by the limited interactions between teachers and students. This was supported by limited resources in implementing online learning systems. Giving assignment method was one of methods that could be applied to overcome this problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving assignment methods on students’ understanding of science concepts during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study was a type of quantitative research using experimental methods and was carried out at SMPN 1 Ndona in October 2020. The design of this study was a pre-experimental design with one shot case study model. Data were collected through test techniques and the data were analyzed by the formula of t test using SPSS 24. Based  on the results of data  analysis obtained from 30 students, the value of t count = 31.44 and df = 29 at the significant level ; it was obtained sig.(2-tailed) 0.000<0.05. Thus, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This proved that giving assignment method influenced the students’ understanding on the science concept at grade VII SMPN 1 Ndona.

Abstract

Implementasi pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal dapat dilakukan melalui model integrasi mata pelajaran, yang mana karakter-karakter positif diajarkan melalui integrasi pada setiap pokok bahasan. Pada mata pelajaran biologi, integrasi pendidikan karakter dapat dilakukan melalui metode analogi objek dan model biologi. Pendidikan karakter melalui analogi fenomena biologi yang berbasis kearifan lokal telah lama diwariskan secara turun temurun melalui tradisi lisan dan masih diterapkan hingga saat ini di masyarakat propinsi NTT khususnya di pulau Flores. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur yang menganalisis dan mensintesis pengetahuan lokal berfokus pada tradisi lisan analogi objek dan model-model biologi berbasis kearifan lokal untuk dijadikan sumber pendidikan karakter. Beberapa temuan dari penelitian ini adalah beberapa petuah yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber pendidikan karakter diantaranya adalah boka ngere ki bere ngere ae gare sewiwi nunu selem, Muzi mae moe gho wae thia tholo thale, Muku ca’ pu’u neka woleng curup, teu ca ambo neka woleng lako dan lain sebagainya. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat dijadikan salah satu acuan dalam pengembangan pendidikan yang berbasis kearifan lokal

Abstract

This research aims: (1) to find out the influence of emotional intelligence on the learning achievement of students of class VIII SMPN 4 Ruteng, (2) to find out the influence of learning motivation on the learning achievement of students of class VIII SMPN 4 Ruteng, (3) to know the influence of emotional intelligence and learning motivation on the achievement of students of class VIII SMPN 4 Ruteng-Lengor school year 2020/2021.The type of research used is quantitative research with ex post facto research design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMPN 4 Ruteng-Lengor totaling 100 people and the research sample amounting to 80 people obtained using simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. Questionnaire to measure emotional intelligence and learning motivation, while documenting student report cards for the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year for learning achievement. Data analysis used normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study show that: first, there is a significant influence between emotional intelligence on science learning achievement for class VIII students of SMPN 4 Ruteng-Lengor for the academic year 2020/2021. This is evidenced by a simple regression test obtained the magnitude of 0.00 <0.05. Second, there is a significant influence between learning motivation on science learning achievement for class VIII students of SMPN 4 Ruteng-Lengor for the 2020/2021 academic year. This is evidenced by a simple regression test obtained the magnitude of 0.03 <0.05. Third, there is a significant influence between emotional intelligence and learning motivation on the science learning achievement of class VIII students of SMPN 4 Ruteng-Lengor for the 2020/2021 academic year. This is evidenced by the multiple regression test obtained the magnitude of 0.00 <0.05.

Abstract

Learning facility is one important item to support the learning process. This paper discusses the effect of learning facilities on students' motivation at SMP Islam Muthmainnah Ende. The sample of the research involved 46 students in class VII. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research instruments were questionnaires and documentation, which were analyzed by simple linear regression analysis through SPSS version 21. The results indicate that hypothesis Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected because there was an effect of learning facilities on students’ learning motivation which, was indicate a significance value of 0.000. The magnitude of the effect of learning facilities on students’ learning motivation is shown by the coefficient of determination of R2 = 0.310 or 31%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan yang signifikan antara lingkungan belajar dengan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas VIII SMPK Inemete Nangapanda Kabupaten Ende tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPK Inemete Nangapanda tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 45 siswa yang diperoleh dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Data yang diperoleh dari sampel berupa angket lingkungan belajar dan dokumentasi hasil belajar. Data dianalisis menggunakan kerelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara lingkugan belajar dengan hasil belajar IPA Fisika. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui perhitungan uji korelasi product moment yaitu 0,002 < 0,05 atau nilai probability < nilai signifikan sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi antar variabel lingkungan belajar dengan hasil belajar IPA Fisika.
