Abstract

The rapid growth of hospitals creates conditions that force hospitals to develop business strategies to be competitive. Brand equity has a strategic role to create an advantage and distinction over other competitors. This study analyzes the effect of brand equity on brand loyalty at the hospital. The design used is cross-sectional involving 200 samples who were determined using a purposive sampling technique. The statistical test used was the t-test (α = 0.05). The results showed that the overall variable brand awareness, preference metrics, financial metrics, output metrics, competitive metrics, local marketers' perception metrics affected brand loyalty. However, partially the variables of brand awareness and perceptions of local marketers did not have a positive effect. It is recommended that the hospital improves the ease of access and affordability of facilities for patients who use vehicles, provides discounts to patients, especially general/non-insured patients who have been treated repeatedly.

This type of research is an analytic survey research, with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all health workers as many as 47 people. The method of data analysis uses Chi-square test. The results showed that there was a very significant (strong) relationship between the relationship between planning and workforce motivation of health workers with a value of p = 0,000 or (p <0.05), the relationship of supervision with workforce motivation of workers with a value of p = 0,000 or (p < 0.05), and the relationship between decision making and workforce motivation by health workers with a value of p = 0,000 or (p <0.05). Based on the results of the study it is expected that the Head of the Puskesmas must have the ability to lead subordinates well and be structured in order to carry out health programs well so as to provide work motivation with encouragement and the desire of health workers to carry out an activity or work well.

Abstract

Natural products can be used as an alternative in the treatment of various diseases such as infectious diseases due to the bioactive compounds contained therein. Moreover nowdays, there are many antibiotic resistance in the treatment of infectious diseases. Citrus maxima is one of the natural products. Citrus maxima have been used for many diseases in traditional medicine. The aim of this study was to investigate the antibacterial activity of flavonoid-rich fractions of citrus maxima peel extract. The bioactive compounds contained in Citrus maxima peel were extracted by maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent. Fractionation was conducted using liquid-liquid extraction using a solvent of water and ethyl acetate obtained ethyl acetate fraction. In this fraction, the TLC test was carried out to confirm the presence of phenolic and flavonoid compounds. The antibacterial activity testing for ethyl acetate fraction against S.aureus and E.coli was determined by disk diffusion method with concentration of 25 ppm, 50 ppm, 75 ppm and 100 ppm. The ciprofloxacin and distilled water were used as positive and negative control, respectively. The result of this study showed that ethyl acetate fraction ( flavonoid-rich fractions) Of Citrus Maxima has potential as antibacterial for bacterial S.aureus and E.coli with medium inhibitory ability in all of concentration ranges. The highest inhibition zone for S.aureus was found at a concentration of 100 ppm while for E.coli was at a concentration of 75 ppm.

Abstract

The influence of the spread of sexual stimulation (pornography) through a bad social environment causes adolescent characters formed by the environment and the lack of information about the dangers of free sex both through audio-visual media brochures and others. This study aims to compare the effect of various health promotion media (leaflets, comics, and Whatsapp group applications) in increasing students' knowledge about the dangers of free sex at Markus Medan High School. The study design uses quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental) namely the pretest and posttest control group design to determine differences in knowledge that occur due to the influence of the treatment (intervention). The results showed an increase in adolescent knowledge scores by 2.53 points after being given counseling plus leaflets, counseling plus comics could increase adolescent knowledge scores by 5.46 points, and counseling plus WhatsApp given to adolescents could increase scores of adolescent knowledge about free sex by 2.70 points. The best method is counseling plus comics because it can change the highest knowledge score. The use of comics as a medium for health education for adolescents needs to be developed to prevent adolescents from the adverse effects of free sex and also the formation of a WhatsApp group for adolescents as well as health education content especially the adverse effects of free sex

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding for infants with working mothers still becomes a significant problem. The provision of on-site lactation rooms has not substantially impacted the utilization of lactation rooms. This study analyzes the factors that influence the utilization of breastfeeding rooms by health workers in all public health centers in Medan City. This study is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional design. The study involved 78 health workers who breastfed children under two years old. The determination of the sample used the total sampling technique. The results show knowledge (0.000), attitudes (0.002), practice (0.008), support from health workers (0.000), the availability of lactation rooms (0.000), and formula feeding (0.000) affect the utilization of breastfeeding rooms. The regression test results show that knowledge is the most influential factor in the utilization of the lactation room. Respondents with good knowledge have 9.477 times more opportunities to use the lactation room than respondents with poor knowledge. It can be concluded that the use of lactation rooms is influenced by factors such as knowledge, attitudes, practice, support from health workers, availability of lactation rooms, and formula feeding. It is recommended for local governments to provide adequate and comfortable facilities at each institution's offices to increase the utilization of breastfeeding rooms. The provision of a comfortable lactation room has implications for the mother's willingness to use the lactation room. However, it becomes difficult to realize without the support of colleagues.
