Abstract

This research focuses on one remote area or often referred to as hamlet. Limang Hamlet is one of the focuses of this research. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, with data collection techniques using pusposive sampling. The results of the research found in the field Social capital has become an important role in people's lives, especially rural communities. Therefore the community of Limang hamlet built the structure of the community's economy through recording and managing natural potential as a survival strategy in Limang Hamlet, Kelapa District, West Bangka Regency. This condition is supported by utilizing existing social capital in the Limang Hamlet community aimed at improving economic conditions to become more prosperous. The use of social capital carried out by the community of Limang Hamlet is done by bonding, bridging and linking. Social capital which is the reference for analyzing this research uses the theory of Woolcock. These three types of social capital are applied by the people of Limang Hamlet in developing their economy. The expansion of networks both internally and externally has been carried out effectively. Movements made made the people of Limang Hamlet known in many circles. Of course, with the use of natural potential owned by the community, helping people become more developed and productive.

Abstract

The right for good life such as education and peace are one of them. They often experience sexual violence and abuse. The case of sexual abuse faced by them increases. This requires special attention to solve and prevent the case. The perpetrators mostly are adults and even from the member of family. The educators are expected to be the role model for the pupils not otherwise. To tackle the issue, it requires the knowledge and a strategy to prevent the mentioned case. Sex education can be one of the solutions to prevent the mentioned case experienced by the children and teenage girl so that they are able to identify the types of sexual violence. Extension can be conducted as the form of education. It can be through providing the flyers and stickers to teenagers and to the other people. High school becomes its target. The extension was conducted in SMAN 1 Merawang. The keynote speaker of the events were the expert from educational and psychological field. It was expected by having enough knowledge on types of sexual violence, parents, students and other parts of society were able to protect themselves from the potential mentioned case.

Abstract

This research is one of the studies that refer to the socio-economic conditions of the Bangka community, especially in Pengkalen Batu Hamlet, in carrying out livelihood strategies. This research aims to explain the livelihood strategies the people of Pengkalen Batu Hamlet implemented in carrying out their lives amid limited access away from the village, which makes the community have to survive. This is based on the variety of natural potentials owned by the community and can be utilized in carrying out life amidst the limitations possessed by the community. Conditions with limited access and far from rural and urban settlements encourage people to be more active and creative in managing nature wisely and wisely. The condition of assets the community owns varies from natural, physical, financial, social, and human capital. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods and purposive sampling data collection techniques. Based on the results of the research, the Pengkalen Batu community carried out several livelihood strategies, including life engineering, job diversification strategies from the various natural potentials they had, then migration engineering strategies carried out by the local community. The three strategies carried out do not just appear. Still, a push for access to social capital makes people think and move creatively and innovatively in developing their natural potential.

Abstract

This research focuses on a village in Belinyu Sub-district, Bangka Regency, Kapitan Village. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and a literature review with observation and documentation data collection techniques. The study’s results found that social capital plays an important role in strengthening the network of the Forest Farmers Groups, where one of the efforts is the Karang Lintang Festival. The community in Kampung Kapitan has been built with a social capital system based on trust, norms, and network relationships. This festival activity is one of the efforts to encourage participation and increase community social capital through bonding, bridging, and linking social relationships. The theory used in this research is Woolcock’s social capital theory. As stated by Woolcock, the types of social capital become this research’s reference to analyze the role of social capital in the community. The strength of this network is obtained through wide-scale or national relationships that the Forest Farmers Group has achieved with government agencies. Of course, strengthening the network of this group is accompanied by an increase in tourism potential in Kapitan Village.

Abstract

Sewage pollution originating from the activities of shrimp farming companies in the Pasir Kuning Beach area raises serious concerns about its impact that damages the environment and disrupts the balance of the ecosystem. This research aims to understand and analyze the inclusiveness of social capital in local communities as an effort to prevent sewage pollution. Using a qualitative approach, this research conducted in-depth interviews with community members in the Pasir Kuning Beach Area. Respondents were selected based on criteria that ensured a balanced representation of various community groups, and secondary data was used to provide a broader context. The research findings highlight the central role of social capital in shaping relationships, trust, and cooperation among communities. The implications include developing more effective sewage pollution prevention strategies and providing a foundation for understanding community contributions to coastal ecosystem conservation. The focus on social capital inclusivity as a catalyst for positive change demonstrates the determination of local communities to overcome the negative impacts of shrimp farming activities. In the context of Bangka Belitung, which is affected by the mining sector, this research is significant in efforts to reduce environmental damage. It is hoped that these findings provide valuable insights for stakeholders in formulating sustainable solutions that support the ecology and well-being of local communities in the future.

Abstract

This study explores the pivotal role of social capital in managing conflicts during the transition from tourism to mining in Pangkal Niur Village. Using qualitative methods within a descriptive research framework, this study interviewed diverse stakeholders, including community leaders, the village government, tourism sector representatives, and opponents of this shift. Employing purposive sampling and inductive analysis, our findings reveal the significant role of social capital in mitigating conflicts between the tourism and mining sectors, particularly in the context of modernization and globalization. This holds profound implications for Pangkal Niur’s local community. The study underscores that social relationships form the basis for trust, cooperation, and community involvement, which is crucial for post-mining land restoration efforts. In regions with a significant mining sector like Bangka Belitung, these findings are highly relevant, emphasizing social capital as a catalyst for conflict resolution, promoting sustainable practices, safeguarding the environment, and enhancing community well-being in environmental management and sustainable development.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan pelaku UMKM Desa Cikalong, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, dalam memanfaatkan e-commerce untuk mengembangkan usaha. Melalui metode pertukaran dan seminar interaktif, peserta diperkenalkan pada konsep dasar e-commerce, manfaatnya, serta langkah awal untuk memulai penggunaannya. Kegiatan meliputi presentasi, simulasi pembuatan akun di platform e-commerce, pengelolaan toko online, dan strategi pemasaran digital. Hasil dari seminar ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terkait pentingnya e-commerce sebagai alat untuk memperluas pasar dan meningkatkan efisiensi bisnis. UMKM mendapatkan wawasan praktis tentang pemilihan platform yang tepat, pembuatan toko online, dan penerapan strategi pemasaran digital yang efektif. Selain itu, kegiatan ini membangun motivasi peserta untuk memanfaatkan teknologi dalam mengembangkan usaha mereka. Simpulan, dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa seminar e-commerce memberikan dampak positif terhadap kesiapan UMKM dalam menghadapi persaingan di pasar digital. Namun, perlu dilakukan langkah lanjutan seperti pelatihan mendalam, pendampingan, dan perluasan cakupan peserta untuk memperkuat hasil yang dicapai. Abstract

Dengan kemajuan zaman yang semakin modern dan teknologi yang semakin canggih, telah menciptakan sebuah sistem perdagangan yang dikenal sebagai E-commerce. Kemunculan berbagai marketplace telah meningkatkan persaingan di antara mereka. Hal ini mendorong Tiktok Shop untuk meningkatkan beberapa fitur dan promosi, seperti memperluas sistem pembayaran Cash on Delivery (COD) agar lebih menarik bagi konsumen. Perusahaan juga perlu mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat beli konsumen di platform mereka, termasuk produk yang ditawarkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dampak metode pembayaran Cash On Delivery terhadap minat beli konsumen di aplikasi Tiktok Shop. Studi ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Populasi yang menjadi fokus penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa/i Universitas Cipasung Tasikmalaya. Sementara itu, penelitian ini mengadopsi metode purposive sampling untuk memilih sampel, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 100 orang. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear sederhana. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel sistem pembayaran COD memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli konsumen.

Abstract

Utilization of social capital is considered capable of addressing conflicts that arise in rural areas, especially those related to tourist areas that are part of community empowerment programs. This study examines the crucial role of social capital in dealing with conflicts arising from the transition from the tourism sector to mining in Pangkal Niur Village. This study used qualitative methods. The analysis results depict in-depth how social capital significantly mitigates conflicts between the tourism and mining sectors. The implications of this social capital are also highlighted in the context of modernization and globalization, especially concerning the local community in Pangkal Niur Village. Additionally, this research emphasizes the importance of social relationships in forming the basis of trust, cooperation, and community participation. In the context of post-mining land restoration efforts, sustainable actions are crucial to reduce environmental damage caused by such functional changes, especially in regions with significant mining sectors like Bangka Belitung. The findings of this research have broad implications, especially in environmental management and sustainable development. The study concludes that social capital can play a role in resolving conflicts, but continuous efforts are still needed to preserve the environment and enhance community well-being.

Abstract

This article delves into the intricate relationship between cultural factors and consumer preferences, focusing on their impact on product purchasing decisions in the global market. Through a comprehensive literature review, various cultural dimensions such as values, beliefs, norms, and traditions are examined for their influence on consumer behavior. The analysis encompasses diverse cultural contexts, highlighting the significance of understanding cultural nuances in shaping consumer preferences. The findings reveal a complex interplay between culture and consumer choices, indicating that cultural factors significantly shape individuals' perceptions of products and brands. Moreover, this cross-cultural article underscores the need for businesses to adopt culturally sensitive marketing strategies to effectively target and engage diverse consumer segments worldwide.
